There are numerous words in Hebrew translated as earth/world. אדמה ‘adamah,’ ארץ ‘eretz,’ חרס ‘cheres,’ יבשה ‘yabasha,’ אפר ‘aphar,’ חלד ‘cheled,’ עלם ‘olam,’ טבל ‘tebel.’
אדמה (adamah)
The ground (adamah) is linked with man (adam).
The root of this word means the ‘likeness’ of something as in a son in the likeness of his father. As seen above in 1 Corinthians 15, the 1st Adam (man) from the ground (adamah) was a shadow picture of the 2nd Adam (Messiah) from heaven. ‘Damah’ is used in reference to man being in the image of God (Genesis 1:26; 5:1, Ezekiel 1:26; Daniel 3:25)
ארץ (earth)
The word eretz means something that is broken up or divided. As in the 7 divisions of the earth into 7 continents.
The 7 continents correspond to the Menorah which is a picture of the body of Messiah.
The body has 7 main parts: head, 2 limbs, torso, 2 legs, privies. Interestingly the earth is made up of roughly 70% water and our bodies are made up of roughly 70% water.
The God Code – Gregg Braden pg 84
“Through studies such as the IGY (International Geophysical Year), we now know that relatively few elements compose most of the earth’s outer crust, including the layers beneath the oceans. Silicon, oxygen, hydrogen, and aluminum amount for more than 90 percent of the composition of this layers. Of even greater significance is the discovery that two of those four elements – hydrogen and oxygen – also account for more than 99 percent of our bodies as well!”
the taxonomy of soil divides the types of dirt into twelve representing the 12 Tribes of Yisrael (His Body).
Alfisols, Andisols, Aridsols, Entisols, Gelisols, Histosols, Inceptisols, Mollisols, Oxisols, Spodosols, Ultisols, Vertisols.
Interestingly, the crust of the earth is made up of 12 plates

His land and His people is literally ‘His land, His people’

Mat 5:15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under the grain measure, but on the lampstand; and it shines for all those in the house.
Mat 5:16 So let your light shine before men, so that they may see your good works, and may glorify your Father in Heaven.

Rev 21:12 and having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and twelve angels at the gates and names having been inscribed, which are of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel.
The people, the land, & the Covenant are linked
Lev 26:42 Then will I remember my covenant with Jacob, and also my covenant with Isaac, and also my covenant with Abraham will I remember; and I will remember the land.
His Name
1Ki 14:21 And Rehoboam the son of Solomon reigned in Judah. Rehoboam was forty and one years old when he began to reign, and he reigned seventeen years in Jerusalem, the city which the LORD did choose out of all the tribes of Israel, to put his name there. And his mother’s name was Naamah an Ammonitess.
The land is linked with the Temple

*maqom is linked with His name, the Temple & ‘seeing’ God
The gematria of YHWH is 26 which corresponds to the three space dimensions: length, width and depth which contain 6 surfaces, 12 lines and 8 points (26).
The gematria of maqom = 746
Lev 24:11 And the son of the woman of Israel blasphemed the Name, and cursed. And they brought him in to Moses; and his mother’s name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.
Profaning His name is the 3rd commandment spoken by YHWH in Exodus 20. It was the 3rd day of creation that the dry land appeared.click here
Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected to one place (maqom), and let the dry land appear. And it was so.
Amazingly, Yahshua of Nazareth has the same gematria as maqom and the Name.
This number 746 also links to His body. The word for ‘Christian’ (Naztrut) is 746. The phrase, ‘therefore ye are my witnesses, saith YHWH, that I am El’ equals 746. And the Greek word ‘authority’ has the same gematria.
Rev 2:26 And the one overcoming, and the one keeping My works* until the end, “I will give to him authority over the nations,”
Rev 2:27 and “He will shepherd them with an iron staff” (they are “broken to pieces like clay vessels”), as I also have received from My Father. Psa. 2:8, 9
*Interestingly, the gematria of maqom without using the final form as 400 but as 40 is 186. ‘His work’ in Hebrew (pa’alu) also has the gematria of 186.
YHWH is also related to 186. Take each of the letters from YHWH, square them (since a “place” is an area, so squared units), and you get 100+25+36+25=186.
Gen 28:16 And Jacob awakened from his sleep, and said, Surely YHWH is in this place (bamaqom), and I did not know.
Gen 28:17 And he was afraid, and said, How fearful is this place (maqom)! This is nothing except the house of God, and this is the door to Heaven.
Gen 28:18 And Jacob started up early in the morning and took the stone which he had placed at his head, and he placed it as a pillar; and he poured oil on the top of it.
Gen 28:19 And he called the name of that place, The House of God. And yet the name of the city was at first Luz.
Literally, in the hills of this area the Name of YHWH is carved out
This word maqom is also used in Genesis 22 in speaking of the place where Isaac was to be offered, mentioned above.
Gen 22:4 And on the third day Abraham lifted up his eyes and saw the place from a distance.
Gen 22:9 And they came to the place which God had said to him. And Abraham built there the altar, and arranged the wood. And he bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on the wood.
Little Guy in His Eye
Yisrael is a people & a land which YHWH looks upon at all times which is a microcosm of all the earth.
Talmud – Derech Eretz Zuta 9
‘The world is like a human eyeball. The white of the eye is the ocean surrounding the world, the iris is the continent, The pupil is Jerusalem, And the image in the pupil is the Holy Temple.
Deu 11:11 But the land, whither ye go to possess it, is a land of hills and valleys, and drinketh water of the rain of heaven:
Deu 11:12 A land which the LORD thy God careth for: the eyes of the LORD thy God are always upon it, from the beginning of the year even unto the end of the year.
His eyes scan throughout all the earth
2Ch 16:9 For the eyes of YHWH run to and fro in all the earth in order to be strong for those with their heart perfect toward Him. You have acted foolishly in this. For this reason, from now on there shall be wars with you.
Pro 15:3 The eyes of YHWH are in every place (maqom) watching the evil and the good.
Rev 5:6 And I saw, and behold, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, was a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, having been sent out into all the earth.
Zec 3:9 For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH. For behold, the stone which I have given before Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, says YHWH of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.
His eyes are on His Temple
1Ki 9:3 And YHWH said to him, I have heard your prayer and your supplication with which you have made supplication before Me; I have sanctified this house that you have built to put My name there forever; and My eyes and My heart shall be there forever.
1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
Rev 3:12 Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.
The root of ‘eretz’ is ‘ratz’ which means broken fragments of a pot which were used as writing surfaces.
Isa 66:1 So says YHWH: Heaven is My throne, and earth the footstool of My feet. Where then is the house that you build for Me? And where then is the place of My rest?
Isa 66:2 And My hand has made all these things, even all these things exist, declares YHWH. But I will look toward this one, to the afflicted, and to the contrite of spirit, even trembling at My Word.
The word ‘will’ comes from ratson
H7522 רצן / רצון râtsôn
Ratson comes from this same root, רצ

The Hebrew word for will/desire is messages that are written down to be passed to another.
What is the Father’s will? To keep His Torah/Word…to keep His message
Psa 40:7 Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume of the book it is written of me,
Psa 40:8 I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.
This is what the Messiah walked in. He was clothed in the garments of the Word. It was the body prepared for Him (Hebrew 10:5-7). He took on flesh (became like Adam/adamah) to bring forth His ‘message’.
חרס (cheres)
The potter and clay again link the earth with Messiah and His body.
Isa 64:8 But now, O LORD, thou art our father; we are the clay, and thou our potter; and we all are the work of thy hand.
Jer 18:1 The word which came to Jeremiah from the LORD, saying,
Jer 18:2 Arise, and go down to the potter’s house, and there I will cause thee to hear my words.
Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter’s house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.
Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Jer 18:5 Then the word of the LORD came to me, saying,
Jer 18:6 O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter’s hand, so are ye in mine hand, O house of Israel.
This prophecy in Jeremiah is speaking of Yisrael being reformed in and through Messiahclick here.
יבשה (dry land)
Yabashah is linked with resurrection/salvation:
On the 3rd day the earth came forth out of the waters (Genesis 1:9-10click here)
Yisrael crossed the Yam Suf (Red Sea) on dry land (Exodus 14:16, 22, 29)
Yisrael crossed the Jordan on dry land (Joshua 4:22)
Jonah came forth out of the belly of the great fish after 3 days and nights (Jonah 2:9-10)
עפר (aphar)
‘Aphar’ means the dust or powder. Man, and specifically Yisrael (His body) are likened to dust. (Genesis 2:7; 3:19; 13:16; 18:27) This word is also linked to the resurrection. (Isaiah 26:19; Daniel 12:2).
The Hebrew words used for the world are linked with the waters and time. טבל ‘tebel ‘(flowing of water) חלד ‘cheled’ (a passing through space or time) עלם ‘olam’ (forever, world, universe). The etymology of the English word for world has similar meaning.
Cosmos – In the Scriptures the word kosmos is used as the circle of the earth, the inhabitants of the earth, world affairs, the world, the universe and it also has the meaning of order.
Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of YHWH has risen on you!
Isa 60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But YHWH shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.
The Hebrew words for ‘lightclick here’ and ‘wordclick here’ are also similar in that they have the same meaning of order.
Light comes from the following root word:
Word comes from the following root word:
Webster’s
Order
OR’DER, n. [L. ordo.]
The english word order comes from the Latin ordo. Tracing this word back in the Latin vulgate brings forth an interesting connection to the concept of light being order.
Job is speaking of death/sheol/hell as a land of darkness without order. Is this the true meaning of ‘hell on earth’. No order. No light.
Job 10:21 before I go; and I shall not return; to the land of darkness, and the shadow of death;
Job 10:22 a land of obscurity, the darkness of the shadow of death, and without any order (Latin ordo, Heb. seder); even the shining is as darkness.
The word for סדר seder and דבר dabar both come from the root דר which means a circle.
The world can mean the physical earth and also human affairs. This concept is seen in the Scriptures through the word טבל ‘tebel’ which means a flowing of waters. In the Scriptures, people are likened to waters.
The collecting of the waters is a picture of the body of Messiah. There are 7 bodies of water on the earth which correspond to the 7 branches of the Menorah, yet Genesis 1 describes the gathering of these waters into one, just as the Menorah was made of on beaten piece of gold (Exodus 25:36).
The link between water and people is further seen in the word for people in Hebrew.
The word tebel also links to time as it is a cognate of the word בלא which means to get old, or a flowing away of life. Both words come from the root בל which means a flowing and is the origin of the English word ball (circle).
