The name Hercules comes from the Greek word Ἡρακλῆς ‘Herakles’ which means “Glory of Hera,” it is a combination of Hρα ‘Hera’ and κλέος ‘kleos’ which means glory or renown. Ἥρα ‘Hera’ means hero so Hercules means the “Glorious Hero” or “Hero of Glory”.
The constellation of Hercules is a shadow picture of Messiah Jesus is the Hero of Glory, the King of Glory.
Psa 24:3 Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?
Psa 24:4 He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
Psa 24:5 He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
Psa 24:6 This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
Psa 24:7 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.
Psa 24:9 Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.
Psa 24:10 Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
The word ‘hero’ comes from the Greek word ἥρως ‘heros’ which means hero, warrior or more literally a brave protector and defender. The corresponding word in Hebrew is ישועה ‘yeshuah’ which pictures a shepherd protecting and defending his sheep from their enemies.

ישועה ‘yeshuah’ also has the meaning of salvation and victory which came from Messiah Jesus whose name comes from this Hebrew word. He is the ‘hero’ who overcame the world to be enthroned as King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
The brave Shepherd laid down His life as a lamb to save His people. This is the picture displayed in the constellation of Hercules.
Joh 10:1 Truly, truly, I say to you, The one not entering through the door into the sheepfold, but going up by another way, that one is a thief and a plunderer.
Joh 10:2 But the one entering through the door is the shepherd of the sheep.
Joh 10:3 The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
Joh 10:4 And when he puts forth his own sheep, he goes in front of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice.
Joh 10:5 But they will not follow a stranger, never! But they will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of the strangers.
Joh 10:6 Jesus spoke this allegory to them, but they did not know what it was which He spoke to them.
Joh 10:7 Then Jesus again said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you that I am the door of the sheep.
Joh 10:8 All who came before Me are thieves and plunderers, but the sheep did not hear them.
Joh 10:9 I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved, and will go in, and will go out, and will find pasture.
Joh 10:10 The thief does not come except that he may steal, and kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life and may have it abundantly.
Joh 10:11 I am the Good Shepherd! The Good Shepherd lays down His life on behalf of the sheep.
Joh 10:12 But the hireling, not even being a shepherd, who does not own the sheep, sees the wolf coming and forsakes the sheep and flees. And the wolf seizes them, and scatters the sheep.
Joh 10:13 But the hireling flees because he is a hireling, and there is not a care to him concerning the sheep.
Joh 10:14 I am the Good Shepherd, and I know those that are Mine, and I am known by the ones that are Mine.
Joh 10:15 Even as the Father knows Me, I also know the Father; and I lay down My life for the sheep.
Joh 10:16 And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.
Joh 10:17 For this reason My Father loves Me, because I lay down My life, that I may take it again.
Joh 10:18 No one takes it from Me, but I lay it down from Myself. I have authority to lay it down, and I have authority to take it again. I received this commandment from My Father.
The constellation of Hercules depicts the work of Messiah on the cross. Hercules is seen bending on one knee with his right heel wounded while his left foot is set over the head of the great dragon (Genesis 3:15).
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
There are two words in the New Testament translated as lamb, ἀμνος ‘amnos’ & ἀρνιον ‘arnion.’ The first word, ἀμνόςis used four times, all four times speaking of the Lamb that would be slayed for the salvation of the world (John 1:29, 36; Acts 8:32-35; 1 Peter 1:17-25).
The second word for lamb in the New Testament is ἀρνίον ‘arnion.’ This word is used 30 times in Scripture, all but one time in the book of Revelation. This usage of this word is referring to the victorious Lamb who has lifted up His people. ἀμνός ‘amnos’ speaking of His death & ἀρνίον ‘arnion’ speaking of His resurrection & victory. It is interesting to note that two of the numerous Hebrew words for lamb is כבש ‘keves’ and כשב ‘kesev’ which displays this concept. כשב ‘kesev’ is speaking of a docile lamb while כבש ‘keves’ means to dominate.
Isaac Mozeson describes this submission, conquering connection in the Hebrew words for lamb/sheep.
“The giving of animals to the altar is far more than sacrificing one’s desired wealth. A penitent wishes to conqure his character flaws, to grow from willful, animalistic sinner to obedient lamb…only in the language of the Bible is the gentle lamb and the theme of conquest linked by an identical root.” {The Origin of Speeches: Intelligent Design in Language Pg 191-192}
Rev 5:6 And I saw, and behold, in the midst of the throne, and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, was a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God, having been sent out into all the earth.
Rev 5:7 And He came and took the scroll out of the right hand of Him sitting on the throne.
Rev 5:8 And when He took the scroll, the four living creatures and the twenty four elders fell down before the Lamb, each one having harps, and golden bowls full of incenses, which are the prayers of the saints.
Rev 5:9 And they sing a new song, saying, Worthy are You to receive the scroll, and to open its seals, because You were slain, and by Your blood purchased us to God out of every tribe and tongue and people and nation,
Rev 5:10 and made us kings and priests to our God; and we shall reign over the earth.
Rev 5:11 And I saw, and I heard a sound of many angels around the throne, and the living creatures, and the elders, and their number was myriads of myriads, and thousands of thousands,
Rev 5:12 saying with a great voice, Worthy is the Lamb having been slain to receive the power and riches and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and blessing.
Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in Heaven, and in the earth, and underneath the earth, and the things that are on the sea, and the things in all of them, I heard saying: To Him sitting on the throne, and to the Lamb be the blessing and the honor and the glory and the might forever and ever.
Rev 5:14 And the four living creatures said, Amen. And the twenty four elders fell down and worshiped the One living forever and ever.
The English word ‘courage’ comes from the Old French word ‘corage’ which means the heart, tracing back to the Latin word ‘cor’ which also means heart. A lion is associated with one who has great courage, a ‘braveheart or ‘lionheart.’
גבור ‘giybor’ means one of great strength, a valiant one, a hero. The Hebrew word אראל ‘er`el’ has an identical meaning.
אראל
‘er’êl
BDB Definition:
1) (CLBL) hero, valiant one
2) (BDB) form and meaning dubious
3) (TWOT) Ariel or hearth
Part of Speech: noun masculine
A Related Word by BDB/Strong’s Number: probably for H739
Isa 33:7 Behold, their valiant {אראל ‘er`el} ones shall cry without: the ambassadors of peace shall weep bitterly.
אראל ‘er`el’ is connected to the word אריאל ‘ariy`el’ which means lion of God.
H739
אראל אריאל
‘ărı̂y’êl ‘ări’êl

From H738 and H410; lion of God, that is, heroic: – lionlike men.
Hercules is often depicted wearing a lion skin, in reference to the myth of him slaying the ‘Nemean Lion.’
אריה ‘aryeh/aryah’ is the Hebrew word for lion, it is a combination of the words אר ‘ar’ which means light or order and יה ‘Yah’ which is the name of God. This points directly to Messiah Jesus.
Messiah Jesus is the Light.
Isa 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.
Messiah Jesus is the name/character of God. His Name is the Word (Revelation 19:13; Matthew 12:18-21 – Isaiah 42:1-4)…Jesus is the Word (John 1:14).

Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Further connecting גבור ‘gibor’ with the lion is the number 211. גבור ‘gibor’ has the numerical value of 211 as does the word ארי ‘ariy’ (lion). Interestingly, the word הדבר ‘ha`davar’ which means “the Word” also has the numerical value of 211. Messiah Jesus, of course, is the Word of God made flesh (John 1:1-14).
Messiah Jesus is the Glory of YHWH.

Exo 33:23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.
In this portion of Scripture, YHWH God proclaims to Moses that no man can see His Face and live. Yet, one of the promises to Abraham is that He would be seen (Genesis 22:14).
Messiah Jesus declared that no man has seen or heard God at any time (John 5:37), the presence/face of God is revealed to mankind through Himself (John 14:7-9). In Deuteronomy 34:10 and Exodus 33:11, Moses is described as knowing YHWH face to face and in Numbers 12:8 it is said Moses looked upon the similitude or form {תּמנה ‘temunah’} of YHWH. The only way to reconcile these Scriptures with Exodus 33:19-23 is the fact that the Scriptures describe Jesus as the image/similitude of the Father.

Hercules is seen bending on one knee with his right heel wounded while his left foot is set over the head of the great dragon/Draco (Genesis 3:15).
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Hercules is a decan constellation of Scorpio which also depicts this scene in Genesis 3:15. The word for scorpion is עקרב ‘akrav’ which comes from the root עקב ‘aqev’ which means the heel, as in the heel which is wounded by the serpent but crushes its head at the same time.
In the Egyptian Denderah, the constellation of Hercules is called ‘Bau’ which means the One who comes from the Hebrew word בוא ‘bo’ (Psalm 96:13; 98:1-2, 9; 118:26). The Arabic name is ‘Al Giscale’ which means the Strong One.
Psa 80:15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch {בן ‘ben’ – Son} that thou madest strong for thyself.
Psa 80:17 Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

The brightest star in the constellation of Hercules is ‘Ras al Gethi’ which means the “head of him who bruises” pointing to the Promised Seed.
Gen 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
Scripture declares this was fulfilled in Jesus of Nazareth.
Luk 1:35 And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
Mat 1:18 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a publick example, was minded to put her away privily.
Mat 1:20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost.
Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.
Psalm 89 links this prophecy in Genesis 3:15 with the Messiah.
Psa 89:19 Then You spoke in a vision to Your holy one; and You said, I have laid help on a mighty one. I have exalted a chosen one from the people.
Psa 89:20 I have found My servant David; I have anointed him with My holy oil.
David was a picture of Messiah (1 Chronicles 17:17) whose name became a prophetic reference to the Messiah (Jeremiah 23:5; 30:9; 33:15; Ezekiel 34:23-24; 37:24-25; Hosea 3:5; Matthew 1:1; 12:23; 22:42; Acts 2:25-34).
Psa 89:22 An enemy will not exact against him; nor the son of iniquity afflict him.
Psa 89:23 And I will beat down his foes before him, and plague those hating him.
Psa 89:24 But My faithfulness and My mercy is with him; and his horn shall be exalted in My name.
Psa 89:25 And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Psa 89:26 He shall cry to Me, My Father, You are my God, and the rock of my salvation.
Psa 89:27 And I will make Him My first-born, higher than the kings of the earth.
Psa 89:28 I will keep My mercy for him forever, and My covenant shall hold fast with him.
Psa 89:29 And I have established his Seed forever, and His throne as the days of the heavens.
Psa 89:35 Once I have sworn by My holiness; I will not lie to David.
Psa 89:36 His Seed shall be forever, and his throne as the sun before Me.
Psa 89:37 Like the moon, it shall be forever; and a faithful witness in the sky. Selah.
Psa 89:50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of Your servants, my bearing in my bosom the insults of the many peoples (This is in reference to Messiah carrying the sins of mankind Isaiah 53; Romans 15:3)
Psa 89:51 with which Your enemies have cursed (חרף ‘chareph’), O YHWH; with which they have cursed (חרף ‘chareph’ – pierced) the footsteps (עקב ‘aqev’– heel) of Your anointed ( משיח ‘mashiyach’).
The word translated ‘cursed’ above is from the Hebrew חרף ‘charaph’ which means to pierce, referring back to Genesis 3:15 and the piercing of the heel of the Seed of the woman.
The word חרף ‘charaph’ comes from the root word חל ‘chul’ which means a twisting in pain. This word is used in reference to the piercing of Messiah in Isaiah 53.
Isa 53:5 But He was wounded ( חלל ‘chalal’) for our transgressions; He was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him; and with His wounds we ourselves are healed.
The word translated as ‘footsteps’ in Psalm 89:51 refers to the heel.
Another name for this star is ‘Al Kalb al Ra’i’ which means the “Shepherd’s Dog. The Hebrew word for dog is כלב ‘kelev’ which is a combination of two words. כל ‘kol’ meaning ‘all’ and לב ‘lev’ meaning ‘heart.’ This is the exact nature of a dog as it an animal of emotion full of love, loyalty and courage. This point back to the theme of Hercules being the “Glorious Hero.”

In Biblical times, the dog was the companion of the shepherd who clung to him in love, whose job was to help guard the sheep (Job 30:1). Who is the Shepherd? Messiah (Psalm 23:1; 80:1; Ezekiel 34:11; 37:24; John 10:11-14) . The name of the Messiah יהושוע ‘Yehoshua’ comes from the root meaning to keep watch over the flock. The root of יהושוע ‘Yehoshua’ is שע.
The next star in the right arm-pit of Hercules is ‘Kornephorus’ which means the branch or kneeling. Messiah is the BRANCH. The Branch is YHWH our Righteousness (Jeremiah 23:5; 33:15). In Zechariah 3:8, the Branch is the Servant from whence iniquity would be removed in one day. This is speaking of the Servant of Isaiah 53, the fulfillment of the prophecy of Genesis 3:15. In Zechariah 6:12 the name of the BRANCH is Jesus who would be king & priest (Psalm 110).
Isa 4:2 In that day shall the branch of the LORD be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth shall be excellent and comely for them that are escaped of Israel.
Jer 23:5 Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth.
Jer 33:15 In those days, and at that time, will I cause the Branch of righteousness to grow up unto David; and he shall execute judgment and righteousness in the land.
Zec 3:8 Hear now, O Joshua the high priest, thou, and thy fellows that sit before thee: for they are men wondered at: for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH.
Zec 6:12 And speak unto him, saying, Thus speaketh the LORD of hosts, saying, Behold the man whose name is The BRANCH; and he shall grow up out of his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD:
Psa 80:15 And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch {בן ‘ben’ – Son} that thou madest strong for thyself.
The Aramaic Targum renderes בן ‘ben’ as “King Messiah”. This Son would be born of woman but also God. The myth of Hercules retains this aspect of the Promised Messiah, albeit in corrupted form.
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.
Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.
This Son would leave His place in heaven, humbling or kneeling Himself to the death of the cross that He might be exalted once again.
Php 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
Php 2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
Php 2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
Php 2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.
Php 2:9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:
Php 2:10 That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;
Php 2:11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
In the right elbow of Hercules is the star ‘Marsik’ which means the wounding, again pointing to Genesis 3:15. In the upper left arm is ‘Ma`asyn’ which means the sin offering which points to prophecy of Isaiah which gives detail of how the “bruising” of the Promised Seed would occur. In the lower part of the right arm is ‘Caiam/Guiam’ which means the punishing.
Isa 53:10 Yet it pleased the LORD to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of the LORD shall prosper in his hand.
In the left hand of Hercules is a 3 headed serpent (Revelation 20:10) along with the apples/fruit of the Garden of Hesperides. This depicts Messiah Jesus’ victory of the works of the devil (1 John 3:8), over sin and death (Hebrews 2:14; Colossians 2:15) which came about when Adam and Eve partook of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil (Romans 5:12).
Rom 6:23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
The image of Hercules kneeling displays this promise of Romans 6:23 as kneeling in Hebrew is ברך ‘barakh’ which also means to bring a gift or blessing.
Notice that the Hebrew word for blessing ברך ‘berekh’ comes from the root בר ‘bar’ which means ‘my son’ (Psalm 2:12; Proverbs 30:4)
Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
Eph 1:3 Blessed is the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies with Christ,
2Co 9:15 But thanks be to God for His unspeakable free gift.
Psa 133:3 like the dew of Hermon coming down on the mountains of Zion; for there YHWH commanded the blessing: life till everlasting.
The Promise to Abraham, which was a continuation of the promise of Genesis 3:15, was for all the earth to be blessed in His Seed (Genesis 12:2-3; 22:18; 26:4) who is Messiah (Psalm 72:17; Galatians 3:16, 29).
Act 3:19 Therefore, repent, and convert, for the blotting out of your sins, so that times of refreshing may come from the face of the Lord,
Act 3:20 and that He may send forth the One before proclaimed to you, Jesus Christ,
Act 3:21 whom Heaven truly needs to receive until the times of restoration of all things, of which God spoke through the mouth of all His holy prophets from the age past.
Act 3:22 For Moses indeed said to the fathers, “The Lord your God will raise up to you a Prophet from among your brothers, One like me; you shall hear Him according to all things,” whatever He may speak to you. See Deut. 18:15-16, 19
Act 3:23 And it shall be that of every soul, whoever should not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people.
Act 3:24 And also all the prophets, from Samuel and those following after, as many as spoke, also before announced these days.
Act 3:25 You are sons of the prophets and of the covenant which God appointed to our fathers, saying to Abraham, “Even in your Seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.“ Gen. 22:18
Act 3:26 Having raised up His child Jesus, God sent Him first to you, blessing you in turning away each one from your iniquities.
Psa 32:1 A Psalm of David. A Contemplation. Blessed is he whose transgression is lifted, whose sin is covered.
Psa 32:2 Blessed is the man to whom YHWH does not charge iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.
Rom 4:7 “Blessed are those whose lawlessnesses are forgiven, and whose sins are covered;
Rom 4:8 blessed the man to whom the Lord will in no way charge sin.” LXX-Psa. 31:1, 2; MT-Psa. 32:1, 2
The blessing of forgiveness of sins is the essence of the New Covenant.
Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will cut with the house of Israel: After those days, declares YHWH, I will put My Law in their inward parts, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
Jer 31:34 And they shall no longer each man teach his neighbor, and each man his brother, saying, Know YHWH. For they shall all know Me, from the least of them even to the greatest of them, declares YHWH. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sins no more.
This gift of the Father of His Son, is the definition of love.
Num 6:22 And YHWH spoke to Moses, saying,
Num 6:23 Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, In this way you shall bless the sons of Israel, saying to them:
Num 6:24 YHWH bless you and keep you;
Num 6:25 YHWH cause His face to shine on you, and be gracious to you;
Num 6:26 YHWH lift up His face to you, and give you peace.
Num 6:27 So they shall put My name on the sons of Israel, and I Myself will bless them.
The blessing = His Name. His Name = His Word.
Rev 19:13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
This is interesting to note as Hercules is linked to the Word.
Recall that the name Hercules comes from the Greek word Ἡρακλῆς ‘Herakles’ which means “Glory of Hera,” a combination of Hρα ‘Hera’ and κλέος ‘kleos.’ It is believed by some that κλέος ‘kleos’ traces back to the Proto-Indo-European root word ‘kleu’ which means to hear or listen. The connection is that one who is famous or glorious is ‘heard of’ or ‘listened to.’
Isaac Mozeson connects this hear/listen – ‘kleu’ concept back to the Hebrew word צלע ‘tsela’ which means the side as one ‘turns to the head to the side’ to hear another. This word צלע ‘tsela’ is used in reference to Adam’s rib/side from whence came his bride (Genesis 2:21). This was a prophetic picture of Messiah’s bride coming forth from His side at Calvary.
Joh 19:34 But one of the soldiers with a spear pierced his side, and forthwith came there out blood and water.
1Jn 5:4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
1Jn 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?
1Jn 5:6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.
1Jn 5:7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
1Jn 5:8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.
1Jn 5:9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.
1Jn 5:10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son.
1Jn 5:11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
1Jn 5:12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
1Jn 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
The club which Hercules carries in his hand is called ‘clava’ in Latin which means a club or staff/branch and is related to the word ‘clavus’ which means a nail. Etymologists say ‘clava’ comes from the Indo-European root word ‘klau’ which means a hook or peg. This points to Messiah, who holds the key of David.
Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open.
Isa 22:23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father’s house.
Isa 22:24 And they shall hang upon him all the glory of his father’s house, the offspring and the issue, all vessels of small quantity, from the vessels of cups, even to all the vessels of flagons.
Isa 22:25 In that day, saith the LORD of hosts, shall the nail that is fastened in the sure place be removed, and be cut down, and fall; and the burden that was upon it shall be cut off: for the LORD hath spoken it.
Rev 3:7 And to the angel of the church in Philadelphia write; These things saith he that is holy, he that is true, he that hath the key of David, he that openeth, and no man shutteth; and shutteth, and no man openeth;
Messiah holds the keys of hell and death.
Rev 1:18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
Rev 1:19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
Interestingly, the ancients believed that the clavicle was the first bone formed in the fetus (life) and the last to ‘die’ in the cadaver (death). The word ‘clavicle’ means “little key” as the bone rotates along its axis like a key.
In the days of Messiah, keys were shaped like the modern day letter F.
F is the 6th letter in the English alphabet corresponding to the Hebrew letter ו ‘vav’. ו ‘vav’ is the nail.
Isa 22:22 And the key of the house of David I will lay on his shoulder, so that he opens, and no one shuts; and he shuts, and no one opens.
Isa 22:23 And I will drive him as a nail in a sure place; and he shall be for a throne of glory to his father’s house.
The Hebrew word for shoulder is שכם ‘shekhem’ which is also linked to the resurrection as the word literally means to rise early and place a load on the shoulders in order to depart.
Gen 22:3 And Abraham started up early {שכם ‘shekhem’} in the morning and saddled his ass, and he took two of his youths with him, and his son Isaac. And he split wood for a burnt offering, and rose up and went to the place which God had said to him.
It was here that the Lamb of God was promised:
Gen 22:8 And Abraham said, My son, God will provide himself a lamb for a burnt offering: so they went both of them together.
It was here that Abraham “saw His day“:
Gen 22:14 And Abraham called the name of that place YHWH Will See; so that it is said until this day, In the mount of YHWH it will be seen.
Jesus declared that Abraham saw His day. This was a declaration that He was God who would provide Himself a lamb for the sacrifice.
Joh 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
Joh 8:57 Then said the Jews unto him, Thou art not yet fifty years old, and hast thou seen Abraham?
Joh 8:58 Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.
Gen 22:14 ויקרא אברהם שׁם־המקום ההוא יהוה יראה אשׁר יאמר היום בהר יהוה יראה׃
Literally, in/on the mountain YHWH will be seen.
Abraham calls the place YHWH Yireh (YHWH will be seen) Yireh is in the Kal stem, 3rd person masculine singular future tense.
It is here on this mount that the Glory of the Lord was revealed.
Joh 12:35 Then Jesus said unto them, Yet a little while is the light with you. Walk while ye have the light, lest darkness come upon you: for he that walketh in darkness knoweth not whither he goeth.
Joh 12:36 While ye have light, believe in the light, that ye may be the children of light. These things spake Jesus, and departed, and did hide himself from them.
Joh 12:37 But though he had done so many miracles before them, yet they believed not on him:
Joh 12:38 That the saying of Esaias the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spake, Lord, who hath believed our report? and to whom hath the arm of the Lord been revealed?
Joh 12:39 Therefore they could not believe, because that Esaias said again,
Joh 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should not see with their eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
Joh 12:41 These things said Esaias, when he saw his glory, and spake of him.
Jesus is the glory of YHWH God
Rev 1:15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
Messiah is the Lamb of God (John 1:29, 36; Revelation 5:6; 7:17; 14:10; 15:3; 19:9; 21:23; 22:1,3)
Isa 42:6 I, YHWH, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand, and will keep You, and give You for a covenant of the people, for a Light of the nations;
Luk 2:32 a Light for revelation to the nations, and the Glory of Your people Israel.
Isa 40:5 And the glory of YHWH shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together, for the mouth of YHWH has spoken.
How was His glory revealed?
Joh 8:28 Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM; and from Myself I do nothing; but as My Father taught Me, these things I speak.
Joh 19:19 And Pilate also wrote a title and put it on the cross. And having been written, it was: JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.
Joh 12:32 And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to Myself (John 8:28 Messiah states this is how they will know He is ‘I AM’).
Joh 12:33 But He said this, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die.
Joh 12:34 The crowd answered Him, We heard out of the Law that The Christ remains to the age. And how do You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?
Joh 12:35 Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.
Joh 12:36 While you have the Light, believe into the Light, that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things, and going away He was hidden from them.
Joh 12:37 But though He had done so many miraculous signs before them, they did not believe into Him,
Joh 12:38 so that the Word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said, “Lord, who has believed our report? And the arm of the Lord, to whom was it revealed?” Isa. 53:1
Joh 12:39 Because of this they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,
Joh 12:40 “He has blinded their eyes” and “has hardened their heart,” “that they might not see with the eyes” and “understand with the heart,” “and be converted,” “and I should heal them.” Isa. 6:10
Joh 12:41 Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory, and spoke about Him.
The pictographs of יהוה speak of Him being revealed through the nails in His Hands

Joh 20:27 Then He said to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and thrust into My side, and be not unbelieving, but believing.
Joh 20:28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God.
The Cross (ת ‘tav’) is linked with His Name
Eze 9:4 And YHWH said to him, Pass through in the midst of the city, in the midst of Jerusalem, and mark (תוה ‘tavah’) a mark (תו ‘tav’) on the foreheads of the men who are groaning and are mourning over all the abominations that are done in her midst.
Rev 14:1 And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion! And with Him were a hundred and forty four thousands, with the name of His Father having been written on their foreheads.
Rev 22:4 And they will see His face; and His name will be on their foreheads.
His Name is the Word
Rev 19:13 and having been clothed in a garment which had been dipped in blood. And His name is called The Word of God.
