Matter is at the core of all the sciences. Chemistry is the study of the properties/characteristics and behavior of matter. Physics deals with the motion and energy of matter. Astronomy is the study of matter in the whole universe, Biology deals with the matter of living organisms and Geology deals with the matter on earth. Hence, science is the study of, in various forms, matter. The English word science comes from the Latin word ‘scientia’ which means “to know”. This corresponds to the Hebrew word דע ‘dah,’ from whence both ידע ‘yada’ and דעת ‘daat’ come, both of which mean knowledge.
In Hebrew, knowledge literally means the door of the eye, or to “see the door”. Who is the Door? The Messiah.
Joh 10:7 Then Jesus again said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you that I am the door of the sheep.
The shadows of the Word and His Creation are there to lead us to the Door/His Eye, that we might know Him intimately, as the little guy in His Eye, abiding under the SHADOW of His Wings. This loving call of our Creator is seen in all of matter.
When we seek His Face, who is Messiah (Hebrews 1:3; 2 Corinthians 4:4; Colossians 1:15), we will find Him.
Jer 29:13 And you shall seek and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.
Notice that Messiah Jesus links seeking Him with knocking on a door.
Mat 7:7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
Mat 7:8 For each one that asks receives, and the one that seeks finds; and to the one knocking, it will be opened.
All the treasures of science/knowledge, and consequently matter, are in Messiah:
Col 2:3 in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and of knowledge.
In the Scriptures, the word matter is translated from the Hebrew word דבר ‘davar’ which means ‘Word‘, who is Messiah (John 1:1-2).
The English word matter traces back to the Latin word ‘mater.’ ‘Mater’ in Latin means the source/mother. In Hebrew, the word for mother is אם ‘em’ which means ‘glue’. This is what physical matter is, elements that are ‘glued’ together to form compounds.
“Matter comes via Anglo-Norman matere from Latin materia ‘matter.’ This was originally applied to the ‘hard inner wood of a tree,’ and etymologically denoted the ‘matrix’ or ‘mother’ from which the tree’s new growth came (it was derived of Latin mater ‘mother’).”
Matrix of Water in the Beginning
These basic elements were originally created (Gen. 1:1) as the fundamental components of matter in the space-matter-time cosmos (‘heavens’ – ‘earth’ – ‘beginning’) called into existence by the omnipotent Word of God (John 1:1-3). This basic ‘unformed’ earth material (Gen. 1:2) was then ‘made ‘ or ‘formed’ by God into complex systems. Originally suspended and dispersed in a vast matrix of water (Gen. 1:2; 2 Pet 3:5), all other elements were built up into a vast array of terrestrial and celestial bodies (1 Cor. 15:40) and, on the earth, both inorganic and living systems.” {Biblical Basis of Modern Science pg 217}
It is interesting that in Maidu Indian the word ‘mom’ means water. In Chinese, ‘mu yu’ means bath. In Japanese ‘umi’ means sea. In Ancient Egyptian water was ‘aman’ and ‘nun.’ The relation between ‘mom’ and water is also seen in Hebrew through the word מים ‘mayim’ which means water.
The origin of the word matrix, comes from ‘madrigal.’
“Etymologically, madrigal denotes ‘a simple song, such as might just have sprung from the mother’s womb.’ It comes ultimately from medieval Latin matricalis ‘simple, primitive,’ a derivative of Latin matrix ‘womb.’ “ {Dictionary of Word Origins pg 332 ‘Madrigal’}
Amazingly, all matter comes forth from a matrix of water in the beginning and was manifested through sound/a song.
“Matter is composed of atoms, which in turn are made from quarks and electrons. According to string theory, all such particles are actually tiny loops of vibrating string.” {Elegant Universe pg 14}
“String theory proclaims, for instance, that the observed particle properties, are a reflection of the various ways in which a string can vibrate. Just as the strings on a violin or on a piano have resonant frequencies at which they prefer to vibrate – patterns that our ears sense as various musical notes and their higher harmonics – the same holds true for the loops of string theory….each of the preferred patterns of vibration of a string in string theory appears as a particle whose mass and force changes are determined by the string’s oscillatory pattern.” {Elegant Universe pg 15}
It is no surprise that pipe, as in a musical instrument, comes from אבוב ‘aboob’ which is referring to the breasts of a mother whose ‘pipes’ feeds her child with milk. אבוב ‘aboob’ is also the source of the word in Hebrew for reed of which flutes/pipes for music were made and papyrus which the Word was written upon.
Music/sound is linked with the waters in the beginning. It makes sense that the matter that came forth would also emit music.
Psa 50:1 A Psalm of Asaph God, YHWH God, has spoken, and calls to the earth from the rising of the sun to its going in.
The word translated as ‘spoken’ is the Hebrew word דבר ‘davar’ which is traditionally translated as ‘word’. Hence, the ancients understood the Word (דבר ‘davar’) as being a song. This is seen in Scriptures where YHWH is spoken of as our strength and our song (Exodus 15:1; Psalm 118:14; Isaiah 12:2). Notice in those verses that it is speaking of YHWH becoming our salvation (ישעוה ‘yeshuah’). The Word of YHWH is seen as the physical manifestation of YHWH on the earth. The Psalms speak of the Word being a song (Psalm 119:54; 138:5; 71:22), Paul also speaks of this concept in Colossians 3:16. The Glory of YHWH (who is Messiah – Hebrews 1:3; 2 Corinthians 4:6; Revelation 21:23; 1:15; Ezekiel 43:2-7) is associated with music/praise (Luke 2:32; 2 Chronicles 5:11-14; Psalm 57:8; 108:1-3).
Aramaic Targum
Psalm 50:1 A hymn composed by Asaph. Mighty is God; the Lord spoke at the Creation a song; and he carved out [62] the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Isa 12:2 Behold, God is my salvation
Notice the connection to Yah being our song and the living waters.
This phrase, ‘YHWH is my strength and song and has become my Yeshua’ is found in two other Scriptures. Exodus 15:2 speaking of the redemption after the 1st Passover and in Psalm 118:14 which is a Psalm connecting to the ’2nd Passover’ in which Messiah/Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice for our atonement.
The Hebrew word for Song comes from:
The root of this word means ‘strings’:
In short, all of creation comes forth from music. Just as the Holy Scriptures spoke of thousands of years ago.
Strings – Music – Light
The Hebrew words associated with music, singing, and praise are linked to Light and His
“The central triune reality of the physical creation has been described as consisting of the events that take place in space and time. Such events occur in great variety, including all the phenomena of matter, of light, heat, sound, radiation, electricity, and even of life itself. Greatly diverse though these and all other phenomena of nature may appear to be, there is a single underlying unity pervading all of them. Each is essentially some form of motion (and of course motion necessarily takes place in space and time), and further, each is basically a manifestation of some form of energy. Thus energy is the basic cause of every particular event and its associated motion. The phenomena which proceed from it (heat, sound , materiality, etc.) are the effects, or consequences. Energy may be defined as the capacity for accomplishing work. Matter is essentially a form of energy, and can under the proper conditions be converted into other forms of energy. But undoubtedly the most basic form of energy is light. Matter is related to other forms of energy in terms of the famous equation of Einstein, the conversion factor involving the square of the velocity of light. That is, E=mc2.” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science- Henry Morris pg 67-68}
“…the third great reality of the universe, which we have described under the comprehensive term of the events taking place in space and time, can finally be described simply as energy, and energy in turn ultimately as light.” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science page 68}
כנר ‘kinor’ means a harp and also comes from the root word נר ‘nar.’ נגן ‘nagan’ means melody, instrument and music and comes from the root word נג ‘nag’ which means to shine as in the sun rising in the morning. This is from the same concept of the bright sound of music.
Matter of Love
אם ‘em’ (mother) is the source of the Latin ‘amare,’ the French ‘amitie’ and the English ‘amity’ which mean love. One of the Hebrew words for love is דד ‘dud/dad’ which means both love and breasts/bosom. Interestingly, the English word ‘baby’ comes from the Hebrew בבה ‘baba’ which is related to the word אבוב ‘aboob’ the root of which is אב ‘ab’ which means father but also means a pipe, as in the breast of the mother whose milk flows to give sustenance to the baby. בבה ‘baba’ in Hebrew means the pupil, the apple of one’s eyes. As any parent has held their baby in their arms against their bosom they recognize this is the epitome of love and intimate relationship (apple of the eye/”little guy in the eye“).
The love of a mother, holding her child in her arms was designed to reveal God’s love. Scripture declares that Messiah came from the bosom of the Father (John 1:18) who gathers (John 12:32) and then carries mankind to His bosom (Isaiah 40:10-11).
This love seen in a mother holding a child to her bosom, which was personified in Messiah gathering mankind to His bosom through the crucifixion, displays on a deeper level that all of creation is infused with God’s love. All matter came forth from God’s voice in the beginning. His voice brings forth His light & love.
The Voice of Messiah is likened unto a shofar (Revelation 1:10) which gathers in the exiles (Isaiah 27:13). It is the Voice of the Good Shepherd calling the lost sheep home (John 10:3, 16, 27-28; Jeremiah 31:10). It is the Voice of Love that reconciles mankind back to the Father, not the voice of condemnation (John 3:15-18).
The Hebrew word for voice is קל ‘qol’ which literally means the voice of a shepherd that gathers his sheep. The Good Shepherd calls to His sheep in love (Isaiah 40:11), even when they are filthy and defiled, He still calls them home (Ezekiel 37:23-24). False shepherds scatter his sheep by their voices of condemnation and division and seek not to restore the lost to the fold (Jeremiah 23:2-4; Ezekiel 34:4-6; John 10:10; Isaiah 56:11; 2 Peter 2:1-3).
The Hebrew word for mother (אם ’em’) pictures “strong glue” or that which holds things together. All of matter is held together by a “mysterious force” which scientists have yet to define. Some speak of this force as the God particle or Higgs boson, others speak of ‘atomic glue.’
All mass in the universe is made up of atoms. The atomic nuclei of these atoms are made up of protons which are positively charged. According to Coulomb’s law, positive charged things repel each other. Therefore, each atom would ‘fall apart’ if it wasn’t for a force that holds them together. This ‘force’ is known as ‘atomic glue’ or otherwise theorized as the Higgs Boson (God particle). The Scriptures define this force as Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:17; Hebrews 1:3).
There is yet another force predicted in quantum physics described by the Higgs Mechanism, a theory that states the Universe is filled with a type of electromagnetic field which induces the appearance of mass in particles as they pass through it. Scientists are working as we speak to find the “God particle”, the Higgs boson, which will validate that the field of the Higgs mechanism does indeed exist. All of this leading up to the ultimate goal – the Theory of Everything.
Will this “Theory of Everything” lead mankind to their Creator, and the manifestation of His love on earth…Yahshua Messiah/Jesus Christ?
“All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force which brings the particles of the atom to vibration. I must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.” – Max Planck
This vibration comes forth from the Voice of God in the beginning.
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
Gen 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
Gen 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
Everything in the universe is based on math. Language is math because sound is electromagnetic frequencies which is math. Language and sounds are heard because they vibrate at certain rates called Hertz frequencies, or cycles per second. Your brain perceives these energized vibrations and interprets the messages according to your programming or neurology and memory circuits formed from life experiences. In essence, frequencies = sound = the Word. All things were created through the Word, so it seen all throughout nature the image of Word embedded in creation.
Hence, all things can be traced back to frequencies. This is what science has found as well through string theory. String theory proposes that all matter derives from vibrating strings. Interestingly, the Holy Scriptures also allude to this. Creation came forth from the Word (Psalm 33:6) which is sound (frequencies). Sound/music comes from the Hebrew word שיר ‘shir’ which has a concrete meaning of vibrating strings.
This connection between frequencies and the Word is further seen in the study of cymatics. Cymatics is the study of how sound effects matter and manifests itself visibly. This effect of sound upon matter is especially seen in water which connects back to Genesis 1:2 where the Word of God moved upon the waters and brought forth light/matter.
Light – Origin of Matter
Scientists state that matter is essentially light. This corresponds with the Scriptures which speak of the voice of God causing matter/light to come forth.
Einstein described gravity as the warping of space and time. Brian Green, in his book Elegant Universe describes the fabric of space as flat until mass is entered which causes ‘ripples in a pond.’ Matter is essentially a form of energy which in its most basic form is light. The Light in the beginning points to Messiah. In the expanse of the heavens man sees this in the natural in the sun. The Light of the World is pictured by the physical light of our galaxy, the sun (Malachi 4:2; Psalm 84:11; 27:1).
Einstein’s E = mc2 states that energy and mass/matter are interchangeable, they are different forms of the same thing. Matter is essentially a form of energy which in its most basic form is light.
“The central triune reality of the physical creation has been described as consisting of the events that take place in space and time. Such events occur in great variety, including all the phenomena of matter, of light, heat, sound, radiation, electricity, and even of life itself. Greatly diverse though these and all other phenomena of nature may appear to be, there is a single underlying unity pervading all of them. Each is essentially some form of motion (and of course motion necessarily takes place in space and time), and further, each is basically a manifestation of some form of energy. Thus energy is the basic cause of every particular event and its associated motion. The phenomena which proceed from it (heat, sound , materiality, etc.) are the effects, or consequences. Energy may be defined as the capacity for accomplishing work. Matter is essentially a form of energy, and can under the proper conditions be converted into other forms of energy. But undoubtedly the most basic form of energy is light. Matter is related to other forms of energy in terms of the famous equation of Einstein, the conversion factor involving the square of the velocity of light. That is, E=mc2.” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science- Henry Morris pg 67-68}
“…the third great reality of the universe, which we have described under the comprehensive term of the events taking place in space and time, can finally be described simply as energy, and energy in turn ultimately as light.” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science page 68}
The Energy of Light
“The most basic of all forms of energy is light energy, including not only visible light but all forms of radiant energy, from the very short wavelength such as X-rays and cosmic rays at one extreme, to the long wave length rays manifested by heat and the electromagnetic rays used in radio and television communications. All these forms of light move in waves at tremendous rate of speed known as the velocity of light. Furthermore, the energy of radioactivity – whereby matter is disintegrating – and even the energy of the atom itself are also associated with light energy. The Einstein equation relates matter and energy by a simple constant, and that constant is the velocity of light.
Light energy is thus the primal form of energy, and the spiritual analogy is that, through the Word of God, the sin-darkened soul must first of all be enlightened before he can manifest any other form of spiritual energy in his life. Psalm 119:130 says, “The entrance of thy words giveth light.” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science pg 225}
Atomic Energy
“We have mentioned that atomic energy itself is intimately related to the energy of light. All the matter of the universe is basically energy and therefore in one sense is light energy. However, it normally appears not as light at all but as physical matter, characterized by weight, hardness, etc. This form of energy likewise was created and is sustained by the Word of God:” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science pg 227-228}
Psa 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.
Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
“The Energy of Sound and Heat:
Sound is another form of energy, moving out as a wave from its source…’So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. But I say, Have they not heard? Yes verily, their sound went into all the earth, and their words unto the ends of the world’ (Rom. 10:17-18)
This passage is quoted by Paul from Psalm 19:4. The latter part of the verse refers to the sun and calls attention to the heat energy radiated from the sun to all the earth, providing the warmth necessary for life to be sustained. The same energy source also produces the thunder associated with the rains. Thus the heat energy from the sun is almost as important as the light energy therefrom and, of course, we have already noted that heat is really a form of light….Therefore, heat energy, like sound energy, is pictured to us as analogous to the process whereby the Word of God through the testimony of Christians, both individually and corporately, is used to witness and convert.”
“Furthermore, as has been noted, all energy is fundamentally manifested in motion. The various forms of energy basically are exhibiting different kinds and rates of motion. The most obvious form is the mechanical energy just mentioned, but even the primal form of energy, light, is associated with the ultimate in motion, that of the velocity of light, over 186,000 miles per second.
It is significant, then, that the origin of God’s Word is associated with motion. Prior to the first spoken command in creation, When the Word of God was first heard, the Scriptures say that “…the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.” The process by which God inspired His written Word, mysterious and diversified though it may have been, was likewise fundamentally characterized by motion. “For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved [literally “carried along}] by the Holy Ghost” (II Peter 1:21).” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science pg 230}
Complementarity
The relationship between energy and matter can be considered complementary. These two basic entities are apparently completely distinct in nature, and yet are fully equivalent to each other in essence.
Col 1:16 For all things were created in Him, the things in the heavens, and the things on the earth, the visible and the invisible; whether thrones, or lordships, or rulers, or authorities, all things have been created through Him and for Him.
Col 1:17 And He is before all things, and all things have subsisted in Him.
“One of the most profound discoveries of modern science has been that physical light ( and, therefore, also matter, in its basic atomic structure) has two natures, apparently contradictory and yet perfectly real and harmonious! Under certain conditions light manifests all the characteristics of wave motion; in other situations it seems to behave as a stream of particles. Light sometimes behaves as an electromagnetic wave, and other times as an assemblage of particles.”
“This dual nature of light (and of the atomic structure of matter) has been the greatest paradox of modern science. Some physicists maintain that this is a contradiction and are hoping that further study will eventually be able to determine whether light is really propagated as waves or as particles. But most scientists are convinced that this duality – they call it ‘complementarity’ – of light is real, even though beyond understanding.”
“The principle of indeterminacy says that it is forever impossible to determine completely the behavior of the subatomic particles which constitute the ultimate basis of matter. The powerful tools of mathematical physics know, as wave mechanics (wave motions) and quantum mechanics (motions of particles or quanta) are the study of this science.”
“Thus, both the wave nature of light and the particle nature of light are accepted as scientifically valid descriptions of the basic nature of light (and therefore of all matter). Now one, and now the other, is manifest, but both are real….He who is the spiritual Light of the world manifest, in perfect union and complementarity, characteristics of both the perfect man and the infinite God!” {Biblical Basis for Modern Science- Henry Morris}
Niels Bohr defined this concept as the ‘Principle of Complementarity’: Wave and particles represent complementary aspects of the same phenomenon. This discovery led physicists to discover that in wave mechanics, Newton’s equation of F=ma (Force = mass x acceleration), which describes the motion of an object needs to be replaced by a different equation to describe the ‘wave function.’ This is called the Schrodinger equation and is denoted by the Greek letter ψ ‘psi.’ However, ψ ‘psi’ can be observed directly it can only be represented as a probability of being found at a particle time. This points back to the Heisenberg principle and the fact that man will never know everything.
“Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle: It is impossible to measure both the position and momentum of a particle with arbitrary precision.” {Instant Physics pg 182}
Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle came about after the discovery that light (photons) and latter all matter acts as both particles and waves. It became known as the Principle of Complementarity where waves and particles represent complementary aspects of the same phenomenon.
“The Heisenberg uncertainty principle and the probabilistic nature of wave mechanics are supremely important because they place on us limits to knowledge. It’s a sobering thought that we cannot know everything about the universe, but that’s the way it is.” {Instant Physics pg 184}
Heisenberg’s Uncertainty Principle gave rise to Chaos theory which states that the universe is infinitely complex and essentially unpredictable.
“The discovery of chaos has shed new wisdom on physics and philosophy. The universe is not a giant clockwork after all. Left to its own devices, it will start ticking erratically, maybe pop a string. One can’t tell exactly because the rules governing chaotic behavior, like the Heisenberg uncertainty principle, put an absolute limit on knowledge.” {Instant Physics pg 233-234}

Waters at Creation
In the beginning, the Word/Voice of the Most High acted upon the waters and brought forth Light. Sound frequencies based on physics and mathematics were applied to water.
Everything of mass and matter is vibrating, everything makes a sound (frequency). Everything is reSONating.
Heb 11:3 By faith we understand the ages to have been framed by the Word of God, so that the things seen should not come into being out of things that appear.
Heb 1:2 in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages;
Psa 33:6 Through the Word of YHWH the heavens were made; and all their host were made by the breath of His mouth.
2Pe 3:5 For this is hidden from them by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, having subsisted by the Word of God,
In the beginning sound was on the waters. The English word sound comes from:
SOUND, n. [L. sonus, from sonom to sound, sing, rattle, beat, &c. This may be a dialectical variation of L. tonus, tono, which seems to be allied to L. teneo.]
Notice the link between sound and a bird/swan. In the Scriptures a link is also seen.
Evening and morning were the first day…at the going down of the sun and the rising of the sun is when the birds are heard singing.
Psa 65:8 And those living in the uttermost parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and the evening to rejoice.
Morning and evening our Creator is calling us to Him. Calling us to the shadow of His wings. Calling us back to Him through the Messiah under His outstretched arms. This is also seen in the Temple/Tabernacles services.
Every morning and every evening (Exodus 29:38-42), they would sacrifice a lamb, with its compliment oblation (grain offering), and libation (wine offering). These sacrifices allowed them twice a day to remember or to ‘re-experience’ the salvation of God. At the ‘Last Supper’ Messiah brought forth the bread & the wine and then offered Himself as the lamb of the New Covenant. Passover occurs at the beginning of the year, it is a picture of being reborn in Messiah, pointing back to the beginning/creation of the world. The Flood of Noah was a type of rebirth (1 Peter 3:20) where the dry land appeared in the first month (Genesis 8:13). So too, at the Passover in Egypt during the Exodus, Israel passed through the Red Sea and were baptized (1 Corithians 10:2) Baptism is a picture of being born again, into the body of Messiah (1 Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 3:11; Galatians 3:27-28).
Interestingly the word for unison traces back to ‘son’ the root of sound:
If one takes two violins that are tuned the same (in harmony) and one plucks the string of one violin, the other violin’s string will vibrate and produce same sound.
Joh 10:16 And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.
Is it just coincidence that ‘consonant’ comes from the same root ‘son’ in English? Could it also be coincidence that the Hebrew alphabet is made up of all consonants? This same Hebrew alphabet that makes up the Word. The Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Is this why Zephaniah prophesied that the clear lip of Hebrew would be returned to us (Zephaniah 3:9)?
Rom 15:6 that with one accord and with one mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The English word ‘accord’ traces back to the Italian word ‘accordare’ which means “to attune an instrument” and the Latin ‘accordare’ which means to “make agree,” literally to “be of one heart. This points to being born again or circumcision of the heart. How is the heart circumcised? Through the Word (Hebrew 4:12; Luke 24:31-32; Acts 2:37; Jeremiah 32:39-40). It is through this circumcision/entering of the Word that Light comes forth (Psalm 119:130).
Sound resonating on the waters
Going back to the Hebrew word רחף ‘rachaph’ (hovering/moving), this word is also translated as ‘shake’ in the Scriptures (Jeremiah 23:9) This describes perfectly Genesis 1:2-3.
Sound operates in waves. Light operates in particles & waves. Light can travel through a vacuum whereas sound can’t. Sound needs a medium in order to travel. The Light in the beginning is the medium by which sounds resonates through the universe.
Light can be seen, sound can’t (for the most part).
The Light came out of darkness and waters (or that which can’t be seen). In Hebrew the word for what is מה ‘mah.’
The picture being painted here is Light coming out of darknessr the physical manifestation of God coming out of the unknown. The Scriptures define Messiah Jesus as the Light (Isaiah 9:2; John 1:9; 8:2; 9:5; 12:46), yet it is clear that Messiah Jesus is the Creator (Ephesians 3:9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Colossians 1:16) who was in the beginning with the Father (John 17:5) so the Light coming forth from the darkness isn’t speaking of the ‘creation’ of Messiah. It is a picture of Him physically manifesting in His creation.
Here in the beginning we see two manifestations of Jesus in His glorified form. The first as the Word/Voice of God which can be heard but not seen and as the Light which can be seen but not heard.
Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Joh 1:6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
Joh 1:8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 1:10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
Joh 1:11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Joh 1:13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Joh 1:14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
Sound moving on the waters brought forth Light. Light (carried/bore) ‘children’ (sound/words/atoms).
Joh 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Rom_8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
Isa 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
Heb 2:13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.
Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;
Hebrew words (the Word) break down to 3 letter conSONental root. Each word has a Parent root of 2 letters with 3rd letter making the root ‘usable’. This is how atoms and molecules work. Multiple elements join together to form molecules which make up matter. The electron of the atom is constantly spinning and moving, just as in Hebrew every word comes from a root word which is a verb .
The English word ‘sound’ traces back to the following Hebrew word:
Notice again the connection to water, and thunder as in Psalm 29.
Isa 66:6 A roaring sound from the city! A sound from the temple! It is the sound of YHWH repaying retribution to His enemies.
Isa 66:6 קול שׁאון מעיר קול מהיכל קול יהוה משׁלם גמול לאיביו׃
קול שאון ‘qol sha`on’ (Roaring voice). This portion of text then speaks of the birth of Zion (Isaiah 66:7-8). Again a connection between the Voice/Sound of God and birth/rebirth (Psalm 29:9; 89:15; John 5:25, 28-29). This concept is further seen in the voice/Spirit of God moving on the waters and bringing forth Light. Light is seen as life (John 1:4) whereas darkness is seen as death (Psalm 107:10; Job 10:21). Furthermore, man is given life through the Spirit/Breathe of God, without which we perish (Ecclesiastes 12:7). The connection between breathe/Spirit, His Voice/Word and Light is seen in the organs human body…{Body Codes}.
Not surprisingly, sound is related to water in the English language as well.
State of Matter
Matter exists in three states: solid, liquid and gas. These three states of matter point to the “Tri-unity” of God.
THE PHILOSOPHICAL MEASURING ROD: The Explanation of the Unity of the Spirit or the So-called Trinity – Lee Warren
“Matter is created from Spirit or is Spirit materialized into its lowest state. Physical matter must reflect the characteristics of Spirit, the parent source and substance, just as man or any other life form inherits or reflects the characteristics or traits genetically of his parents. Thus matter must be three-fold to reflect the three states of Spirit. The three states of matter are:
1. Gas
2. Liquid
3. Solid
And all matter is composed of atoms which are also three-fold:
1. Proton
2. Neutron
3. Electron.
By comparing the characteristics of each state of matter with the Godhead, one is able to understand or conceptualize the three states of spirit. For example, the gaseous state of matter is invisible, likened unto Yahweh Pure Spirit, who is also invisible, incomprehensible, and inscrutable, the source and substance of all things visible (Physical realm) and invisible (Angelic Realm). The next state of matter is liquid that is visible, and takes on the form of its container. Liquid can be likened unto Elohim that takes on shape and form of a man in visions and revelations within the confines of man’s mind (Exo. 24:9-10; Ezek. 1:26). The lowest state of matter is solid that is concrete and has a definite shape and volume, likened unto Elohim or the Word made flesh (who the world calls Jesus Christ), who can be observed with the physical senses (I Tim. 3:16). These analogies and comparisons of the three states of matter with the three states of spirit prove the nature and operation of Spirit and enables one to have the correct image of it.
From the above comparative analysis, the tabernacle pattern, or the “Philosophical Measuring Rod,” proves that there are three manifestations or states and conditions of the One Spirit (Deut. 6:4) as compared with the states of matter:
1. Yahweh, The Pure Spirit -Abstract State, (Most Holy Place by the Pattern) the invisible, inscrutable principle has no shape and form and often depicts Himself as a cloud. This correlates with the gaseous state of matter. (Lev. 16:2; Deut. 4:12; Matt. 17:5)
2. Elohim, the Word or Son -Intermediate State, (Holy Place by the Pattern) is visible only in visions and revelations. Elohim is Spirit or the Father, in part not totality, in shape and form of a man (Ex. 24:9-10; Jn. 1:1-4; 5:37). This is correlated with the liquid state of matter.
3. Yahshua the Messiah-Concrete State, (Court Round About by the Pattern) or Jesus Christ is Elohim in a physical body, the visible manifestation of Spirit (Col. 1:15-17; Jn. 1:14). This is correlated with the solid state of matter.
Now there are also three states of time: 1. Future; 2. Present; 3. Past. (See diagram 4 for the comparison by the three-fold pattern). We can make the same comparison about “time”, being three-fold, as are the three states of matter and the three states of Spirit. For example very little is known about the future for a certainty (the Most Holy Place by the pattern). Likewise nothing can be understood about the Pure Spirit State of Yahweh the Father. He is Inscrutable and Incomprehensible or an Abstraction in this state and condition to man’s finite mind. An understanding of the future can be obtained by understanding the present (the Holy Place by the pattern) and the past (the Court Round About by the pattern). Likewise it is Elohim or the Son and the Messiah in the flesh that reveals the Father to us. We have an understanding of the present by having a understanding of the past. It is the past which we understand the most, just as we have the most understanding of Elohim while he was made flesh as the Messiah (Jn. 1:14; 1 Tim. 3:16).”
Plasma
Some consider plasma as the ‘fourth state’ of matter but more properly plasma could be called the ‘fundamental state’ of matter.
Matter (solid, liquid and gas) is equated with light, light which came forth from the ‘waters’ in the beginning. Are these ‘waters’ in the beginning what is now known as plasma?
Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
The word for heaven here is שמים ‘shamayim,’ which according to the ancients, means a mixture fire and water. They believed שמים ‘shamayim’ to be a combination of the Hebrew words אש ‘esh’ meaning fire and מים ‘mayim’ meaning water.
“The roots of the word shamayim are אש (esh, fire) and מים (mim, water) The beginning letter א (aleph) is a silent stand-in for a beginning consonant, nothing more. Dropping it does not change the meaning of the two-letter word. So the Hebrew שמים literally means fire in water.” {Summary of Creation Day Two}
“God called the expanse “heaven” because it was made from fire and water. There was evening and there was morning, a second day.” {Rashi translation of Genesis 1:8}
“And God called the expanse heaven: Heb. שָׁמַיִם [This is a combination of the words מַיִם שָׂא, bear water (Gen. Rabbah 4:7); שָׁם מַיִם, there is water; אֵשׁ וּמַיִם, fire and water. He mingled them with one another and made the heavens from them (Chag. 12a).” {Rashi}
Is this “fire-water” speaking of plasma, which is said to make up 99.99% of the visible universe?
Gen. 1:1—In the beginning [Concurrently with the absolute instant time began] God [the eternal, Self-Existent One Who is the Ultimate Reality and First Cause] created [H#1254—bara’ (i.e., commanded into being ex nihilo, out of nothing)] the heaven[s] [H#8064—shamayim = “lofty” + “waters”/ “there, waters”/ “fire” + “waters” universal, superheated water plasma] and the [liquid-water] earth [H#776—‘erets = the planet Earth (Gen. 1:25a) as opposed to the ground (H#127—‘adamah = earth, as in Gen. 1:25b)]. {The Scriptural Universe Model}
“We have no argument with the possibility that God did everything in Creation Week via miracles. That may be what happened. On the other hand, after the initial act of creation from nothing of time, space and mass (definitely a miracle), He may well have used the very processes He created to form the rest of the physical universe. If He used gravity, then yes, it must have taken billions of years and there are many, many problems which would require miracles. But if He used electromagnetic energy along with the enormously faster atomic processes which data indicate existed in the past, then the formation of the universe in a few literal days, in exactly the manner the Bible indicates, is not only possible, but highly probably.”
“We are all familiar with the everyday three states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Most things can exist in all three states, given the right conditions. Water is the easiest to use as a demonstration. As a solid, it is ice; as a liquid, it is water; as a gas, it is steam. The difference is heat. The more heat there is, the faster the molecules move and the more they drive each other apart. Conversely, the colder it is, the less the molecules move, so the closer they are to each other. Most, but not all, elements and compounds react in the same way: the more heat the more they can become liquid and then gas.
But there is a fourth state of matter. When the heat or electrical energy becomes high enough, one or more electrons are stripped off the atom. The free electrons have a negative charge and the atom without them now has a positive charge. This is a plasma. When these positive atoms or negative electrons are in movement, they form an electric current. Every electric current is surrounded by a circling magnetic field (which keeps it as a current and not dissipitating in every direction). This is why it is called electromagnetism. Electromagnetism is an extremely strong force…”
“We live in a plasma system…Regardless of what model is being put forward — gravitational, Big Bang, plasma, Creation — in whatever combination, the consensus is that the earliest universe was a plasma. This, at least, is not argued. “
“Remember, everyone seems to agree the earliest universe started as plasma.
So now let’s look again back at Genesis 1:2. This beginning ‘firm stuff’ had no form and was void. The Holy Spirit was driving it.
Plasma has no form. It is void.
The Big Bang model says the first element, and the only element was hydrogen. They can get helium from hydrogen in the original hot mix. But after that they have a problem: how to get the other elements. The only way they have theorized it possible to get other elements from hydrogen is to have it happen via fusion in stars, so that when these first stars burst, or became novas, they spread these newly formed elements throughout space.
But there is a major problem with trying to theorize star formation from just hydrogen and helium. This is because as the theoretical gas cloud of these elements condenses, the heat of the condensation would cause the cloud to re-expand, forbidding star formation. It is not until you have the heavier elements you need to make in the first place that you can get heat transferred out of this theoretical condensing cloud to form the other elements themselves.
Thus gravitational collapse with just hydrogen and helium is impossible.
What about ‘waters?’ The word for heavens is ‘shamayim’ which incorporates the word for waters. The Holy Spirit was driving this surging mass that had no form and was void across the face of or in the face of ‘waters.’
We think of water as liquid. But if we think of it, rather, as H20, or two hydrogen for every oxygen, then we have the clue that we need. The first creation was not simply of hydrogen nuclei, but of oxygen as well. They would have been created in a two to one ratio — exactly what we find in water.
How do we get the other elements out of a water plasma? There are two options, and maybe both are applicable together. First, Dr. Ed Boudreaux, Professor emeritus in chemistry, has worked with this concept and mathematically shown that all the elements in their known abundances can be produced from a very hot water plasma in a short amount of time – something like half an hour! Second, fusion reactions occur where there are high voltage differences in plasmas. These fusion reactions can form any or all of the elements very quickly. So what we see in the Bible is probably not been a reference to a nice round little blue ball in the beginning, but to a violent surging water plasma from which the entire universe was formed.”
