Messiah in the Torah – Genesis 1:20-23

Gen 1:20  And God said, Let the waters swarm with swarmers having a soul of life; and let the birds fly over the earth, on the face of the expanse of the heavens.

Gen 1:21  And God created the great sea animals, and all that creeps, having a living soul, which swarmed the waters, according to its kind; and every bird with wing according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.

Gen 1:22  And God blessed them, saying, Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas; and let the birds multiply in the earth.

Gen 1:23  And there was evening, and there was morning the fifth day.

On day 5, life was created.

As seen in the Shadows of Messiah study on Biologyclick here, all life is a shadow picture pointing to Messiah.

Joh 14:6  Jesus said to him, I am the Wayclick here, and the Truthclick here, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.

YHWH IS OUR LIFE

Deu 30:20  That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.

THE WORD OF LIFE

1Jn 1:1  What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld, and what our hands touched, as regards the Word of Life.

1Jn 1:2  And the Life was revealed, and we have seen, and we bear witness, and we announce to you the everlasting Life which was with the Father, and was revealed to us.

Joh 8:12  Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

The Word is our life…we are given two choices.  Life or Death/Good or evil.
Deu 30:15  See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
Deu 30:16  In that I command thee this day to love the LORD thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the LORD thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it.
Deu 32:45  And Moses made an end of speaking all these words to all Israel:
Deu 32:46  And he said unto them, Set your hearts unto all the words which I testify among you this day, which ye shall command your children to observe to do, all the words of this law.
Deu 32:47  For it is not a vain thing for you; because it is your life: and through this thing ye shall prolong your days in the land, whither ye go over Jordan to possess it.

The Apocryphal book of Sirach speaks of the Word as life as well.

Sir 17:11  Beside this he gave them knowledge, and the law of life for an heritage.
Sir 19:19  The knowledge of the commandments of the Lord is the doctrine of life: and they that do things that please him shall receive the fruit of the tree of immortality.
Sir 45:5  He made him to hear his voice, and brought him into the dark cloud, and gave him commandments before his face, even the law of life and knowledge, that he might teach Jacob his covenants, and Israel his judgments.
Joh 20:31  But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Rev 19:13  And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.

Joh 1:14  And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.

Grace is linked to the number 5 (day 5) and will be discussed in more detail below.

Joh 6:68  Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.

Phi 2:16  Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.

Joh 5:39  Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Joh 5:40  And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life.

WISDOM

Pro 3:18  She is a tree of life to them that lay hold upon her: and happy is every one that retaineth her.
Pro 3:22  So shall they be life unto thy soul, and grace to thy neck.

JESUS IS THE LIFE
Joh 11:25  Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
1Jo 5:20  And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.
1Jo 5:12  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Life is in messiah

SPIRIT
Joh 6:63  It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Rom 8:11  But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Rom 8:12  Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh.
Rom 8:13  For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.
Rom 8:14  For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

The subject of the Sons of God will be discussed further as this study progresses.  It goes back to the choice of life or death, good or evil.  The Tree of Life or the tree of knowledge.

Ancient Hebrew definition of Life

Man does not live by bread (lechem-food, sustenance) alone but by every WORD that proceeds from the mouth of YHWH (Deuteronomy 8:3).  Bread comes forth from grain (dagan) which comes from the same Hebrew root word for fish (dag).

The Scriptures liken the Word to bread/food.  When our bellies are full of Word/Jesus we have life.  When our bellies are empty of the Word/Messiah we are dead, we are walking in darkness.

Psa 102:4  My heart is stricken and dried like grass, so that I forget to eat my bread.

TARGUM
5.     My heart is smitten like grass and will dry up; for I have forgotten the Torah of my instruction.

Manna

Psa 78:23  And He commanded the fine clouds above; and He opened the doors of the heavens;
Psa 78:24  and He rained on them manna to eat; yea, He gave the grain (dagan) of the heavens to them.
Psa 78:25  Man ate the bread of the mighty (KJV angels); He sent them food (KJV meat tsedah=provision) to the full.

Messiah is the bread from Heaven that gives Life

Joh 6:30  Then they said to Him, Then what miraculous sign do You do that we may see and may believe You? What do You work?
Joh 6:31  Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written “He gave them bread out of Heaven to eat.” LXX-Psa. 77:24; MT-Psa. 78:24
Joh 6:32  Then Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Moses has not given you the bread out of Heaven, but My Father gives you the true bread out of Heaven.
Joh 6:33  For the bread of God is He coming down out of Heaven and giving life to the world.

Joh 6:48  I am the Bread of life.
Joh 6:49  Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness and died.
Joh 6:50  This is the Bread coming down out of Heaven, that anyone may eat of it and not die.
Joh 6:51  I am the Living Bread that came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever. And indeed the bread which I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Bread=His Flesh=Gospel

Basar Gospel Flesh

Man was made in the image of God (Genesis1:26)…Messiah is the image of God (Hebrews 1:3; 2 Corinthians 4:4), hence when we look at the human body it points to Messiah.  The body as a whole, and each individual body part speaks the Gospel.

The Gospel is connected w/flesh. Where is the first reference to flesh? The union of Adam and Eve…a picture of Jesus and His Bride becoming one is  the fulfillment of the Good News.

Gen 2:21  And YHWH God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept. And He took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh underneath.
Gen 2:22  And YHWH God formed
the rib which He had taken from the man into a woman, and brought her to the man.
Gen 2:23  And the man said, This now at last is bone from my bones, and flesh from my flesh. For this shall be called Woman, because this has been taken out of man.
Gen 2:24  Therefore, a man shall leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave to his wife and they shall become one fleshEph 5:30  For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones.
Eph 5:31  “For this, a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall be one flesh.”
Gen. 2:24
Eph 5:32  The mystery is great, but I speak as to Christ and as to the assembly.

The rib of Adam from whence his bride came out is linked to the number 5 which connects to the 5th day of creation and life.

‘Chamesh’ is used to translate multiple terms in Hebrew.  It is used for the number five/fifty, the hand, to be armed and the side of the body (fifth rib).

The ‘fifth rib’

H2570
חמשׁ
chômesh

This word is used in the following verses:

fifth, 4
2Sa_2:23, 2Sa_3:27, 2Sa_4:6, 2Sa_20:10

Messiah was wounded in the side (‘the fifth rib’).

Joh 19:34  But one of the soldiers pierced His side with a lance, and at once blood and water came out.

Adam’s bride came forth from his rib/side (Genesis 2:22) which is a picture of Messiah’s bride ‘coming forth’ when He offered Himself as an atonement to bring us back to God.  Interestingly, the year of Jubilee, which occurs every 50 (chamashim) years (Leviticus 25:10-13) began on the Day of Atonementclick here.  The great trumpet (Isaiah 27:13) will be blown and those resurrected in the 1st resurrection will receive their inheritance in the land.  This is interesting because the shofar is in the Fibonacci sequence which the pattern the Most High uses in His creation of life.  The Fibonacci sequence is encoded with the number 5.

Our ears are based upon the Fibonacci pattern:

The Hebrew word for ears is ‘ozen’ which is linked to the current study as the word for flesh/meat is ‘mazan’ which comes from the same root זנ.

Rom 10:16  But not all obeyed the gospel, for Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our report?” Isa. 53:1
Rom 10:17  Then faith is of hearing, and hearing through the Word of God.
Rom 10:18  But I say, Did they not hear? Yes, rather, “into all the earth their voice went out, and to the ends of the world their words.”
LXX-Psa. 18:5; MT-Psa. 19:4

Their voice went out.  What is the voice of the Word/Jesus likened to?  A Shofar (Revelation 1:10-11).  Which is in the Fibonacci pattern.

It is His Voice/Word that brings Life.

Isa 27:13  And it shall be in that day, the great ram’s horn shall be blown; and those perishing in the land of Assyria and the outcasts in the land of Egypt shall come and shall worship YHWH in the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
Joh 5:25  Truly, truly, I say to you that an hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones hearing will live.
Joh 5:28  Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming in which all those in the tombs will hear His voice.
Joh 5:29  And they will come out, the ones having done good into a resurrection of life; and the ones having practiced evil into a resurrection of judgment.
Joh 11:43  And saying these things, He cried out with a loud voice, Lazarus! Here! Outside!

1Th 4:16  Because the Lord Himself shall come down from Heaven with a commanding shout of an archangel’s voice, and with God’s trumpet. And the dead in Christ will rise again first.
Mat 24:31  And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to their ends.
1Co 15:52  In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.

The Voice of Jesus brings back the exiles.  This is significant as it will be seen that the message of the Gospel given to the Apostles is likened to bread from the Table of showbread, as they are made ‘fishers’ of men.

Joh 10:3  The doorkeeper opens to him, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name, and leads them out.
Joh 10:16  And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.
Joh 10:27  My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
Joh 10:28  And I give eternal life to them, and they shall not perish to the age, never! And not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.

Jer 31:6  For there shall be a day when the watchmen on Ephraim’s hills shall call out, Arise and let us go up to Zion, to YHWH our God.
Jer 31:7  For so says YHWH, Sing with gladness for Jacob, and shout among the head of the nations. Cry out, give praise and say, O YHWH save Your people, the remnant of Israel.
Jer 31:8  Behold! I will bring them from the north country, and gather them from the recesses of the earth. Among them the blind, and the lame, the pregnant one, and the travailing one together, a great company shall return here.
Jer 31:9  They shall come with weeping, and I will lead them with prayers. I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a right way; they will not stumble in it. For I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is My first-born.
Jer 31:10  Hear the Word of YHWH, O nations, and declare in the coastlands far away, and say, He who scattered Israel will gather him and keep him, as a shepherd his flock.

Bread of His presence, the Showbread

Jesus is His paniym (presence, face)

Psa 42:5  O my soul, why are you cast down and moan within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet thank Him for the salvation of His presence.

Yeshua face

Psa 44:3  For they did not inherit the land with their own sword; yea, their own arm did not save them. But it was Your right hand (Messiah- Exo 15) and Your arm (Messiah Isa 53) and the light of Your face, because You favored them.

Interestingly the arm and hand are in the Fibonacci pattern.

The Light of His Face is linked with the sound of the Shofar

Psa 89:15  Blessed is the people knowing the joyful sound; O YHWH, they shall walk in the light of Your face.

What is the joyful sound?  The sound of the Shofar & Trumpets.

Psa 98:5  Sing praise to YHWH with the lyre; with the lyre and the voice of a song.
Psa 98:6  With trumpets and the sound of a horn, make a joyful noise before YHWH the King.

The sound of the trumpets = the sound of His Word.

Num 10:2  Make two trumpets of silver for yourself. You shall make them of hammered work, and they shall be to you for the calling of the congregation, and for causing the camps to pull up stakes.
Psa 12:6  The Words of YHWH are pure Words, like silver refined in an earthen furnace, purified seven times.

The bread of the Presence sat upon a table.  The Hebrew word for table is Shulchan coming from the root shalach meaning to send out, as in one sending out his hand to the table to receive food (life).  This is the concept of an Apostle (sholiach), one who sends forth a message of good news (basar – meat/gospel).

The first use of the word ‘shalach’ is seen in Genesis 3:23 where Adam was expelled from the Garden due to the sin of eating from the tree of knowledge.
Gen 3:23 YHWH God sent him out of the garden of Eden to till the ground out of which he was taken.

Adam was to work the ground from whence he was taken. Adam, who partook of the tree of knowledge which brings death, sent forth ‘shalach’ his message to the world (1 Corinthians 15:22). The bread that comes forth from the earth brings temporal life but cannot deliver from death. The message of Messiah comes forth from the Tree of Life. It is the bread from heaven that brings life to the world.

Apostles take for the Bread of Life to the world

Isa 52:7  How beautiful on the mountains are the feet* of him proclaiming good news, making peace heard, bearing tidings of good (basar), making heard salvation (Heb. yeshua), saying to Zion, Your God reigns.

*The feet are in the pattern of the Fibonacci sequence.

Joh 4:32  But He said to them, I have food to eat which you do not know.
Joh 4:33  Then the disciples said to one another, No one brought Him food to eat?
Joh 4:34  Jesus said to them, My food is that I should do the will of Him who sent Me, and that I may finish His work.
Joh 6:51  I am the Living Bread that came down from Heaven. If anyone eats of this Bread, he will live forever. And indeed the bread which I will give is My flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.

Going back to the connection between the gospel (basar) and Adam & Eve…

The word for bride is:

This comes from the root ‘kol’ which is related to the belly (chay-life):

The Hebrew word for food comes from this same root:

The English word cell comes from this Hebrew root.  The human cell is designed just as the Tabernacle/Temple.  DNA, in the nucleus of the cell is the blueprint for life & the flesh.  It corresponds to the 10 commandments and the Torah in the Holy of Holies of the Tabernacle.  DNA is formed in the Fibonacci pattern.

Cell -early 12c., “small room,” from L. cella “small room, store room, hut,” related to L. celare “to hide, conceal,” from PIE base *kel- “conceal”

http://www.icr.org/article/shapes-numbers-patterns-divine-proportion-gods-cre/

When we realize that the information to produce these spirals and numbers in living things is stored in the DNA, should we then be surprised to find that the DNA molecule is 21 angstroms in width and the length of one full turn in its spiral is 34 angstroms, both Fibonacci numbers? The DNA molecule is literally one long stack of golden rectangles.

The DNA spiral is a Golden Section

The DNA molecule, the program for all life, is based on the golden section.  It measures 34 angstroms long by 21 angstroms wide for each full cycle of its double helix spiral.

34 and 21, of course, are numbers in the Fibonacci series and their ratio, 1.6190476 closely approximates phi, 1.6180339.

B-DNA has spirals in phi proportions

DNA in the cell appears as a double-stranded helix referred to as B-DNA.

This form of DNA has a two groove in its spirals, with a ratio of phi in the proportion of the major groove to the minor groove, or roughly 21 angstroms to 13 angstroms.

The Hebrew word for Temple (Heykal) comes from the same root as cell, food and bride (kol).

This corresponds perfectly to the Temple/Tabernacle of God and the word cell means hidden.

Eze 7:22  I also will turn My face from them, and they shall defile My hidden place. And violent ones shall enter into it and defile it.

Our bodies are His Temple (Ephesians 2:21-22; 5:30; 1 Corinthians 6:19) which are intimately linked to the Fibonacci sequence & the number 5 (the 5th day).

http://goldennumber.net/five%285%29.htm

“The number 5 is intrinsically related to Phi and the Fibonacci series

Phi can be derived from several formulas based on the number 5.  The most traditional, based on the geometric construction of phi is this:

This formula for phi can also be expressed all in fives as:

And, as pointed out by W. Nathan Saunders, the terms in above representation of phi can be expressed in yet another way that involves four 5′s:

Phi appears in the geometry of the 5-sided pentagon

Take a pentagon with 5 equal sides and connect all the points to form a 5-pointed star.  The ratios of the lengths of the resulting line segments are all based on phi.

5 is the 5th Fibonacci number

5 is also the 5th of the Fibonacci numbers, including 0, 1, 2, 3, and 5.

5 appears in the human body, which has proportions based on phi

Another interesting aspect of phi and five is in relation to the design of the human body, which in addition to being based on phi relationships in its proportions, has:

* 5 appendages from the torso, in the two arms, two legs and a head,

* 5 appendages on each of legs and arms in the five fingers and five toes,

* 5 openings on the face, and

* 5 senses in sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.

The Divine Proportion in the Body

The white line is the body’s height.

The blue line, a golden section of the white line, defines the distance from the head to the finger tips.

The yellow line, a golden section of the blue line, defines the distance from the head to the navel and the elbows.

The green line, a golden section of the yellow line, defines the distance from the head to the pectorals and inside top of the arms, the width of the shoulders, the length of the forearm and the shin bone.

The magenta line, a golden section of the green line, defines the distance from the head to the base of the skull and the width of the abdomen. The sectioned portions of the magenta line determine the position of the nose and the hairline.

Although not shown, the golden section of the magenta line (also the short section of the green line) defines the width of the head and half the width of the chest and the hips.”

The Human face, ears, and teeth are based upon Phi

The human hand and foot are based on Phi

The human heartbeat is based upon Phi

In His Shadow/Image

Gen 1:26  And God said, let Us make man in Our image*, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth.Gen 1:27  And God created the man in His own image*; in the image* of God He created him. He created them male and female.

Psa 61:4  I will dwell in Your tabernacle* forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.

*The Tabernacle/His House = the abiding in His Wings

The word for wings in the above verse is kanaph which is linked to the word ‘oph’ which is the word for birds/fowl which were created on day 5.

This concept of dwelling under His Wings is the fulfillment of the Gospel.

Psa 61:4  I will dwell in Your tabernacle* forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.

2Co 6:16  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Rev 7:15  Because of this they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary. And He sitting on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.

Rev 21:3  And I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God with men! And He will tabernacle with them, and they will be His people, and God Himself will be with them as their God.

Preaching the Gospel

In the Scriptures, men are likened to fish.

Hab 1:14  For You make man like the fish of the sea, like creeping things with no ruler over him.

The prophet Hosea links the above concepts of man, beasts, grain/food and the Gospel/marriage supper.

Hos 2:16  And at that day, says YHWH, you shall call Me, My husband; and you shall no more call Me, My Baal.
Hos 2:17  For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth; and they shall no more be remembered by their name.
Hos 2:18  And in that day I will cut a covenant for them with the beasts of the field, and with the birds of the heavens, and the creepers of the ground. And I will break the bow and the sword, and the battle out of the earth, and I will make them to lie down safely.
Hos 2:19  And I will betroth you to Me forever. Yes, I will betroth you to Me in righteousness, and in judgment, and in mercy, and in compassions.
Hos 2:20  I will even betroth you to Me in faithfulness. And you shall know YHWH. {What is life?  To know Him. John 17:3; Habakkuk 2:14)
Hos 2:21  And it shall be in that day, I will answer, says YHWH. I will answer the heavens, and they shall answer the earth.
Hos 2:22  And the earth shall hear the grain, and the wine, and the oil; and they shall hear Jezreel.
Hos 2:23  And I will sow her to Me in the earth. And I will have mercy on No Mercy. And I will say to Not My People, You are My people! And they shall say, My God!

This above concept of ‘lo-ammi’, not my people, is speaking of the Northern Tribes of Israel.  The Northern tribes of Israel, in specific Ephraim & Manasseh were likened unto fish.

Gen 48:14  And Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid it upon Ephraim’s head, who was the younger, and his left hand upon Manasseh’s head, guiding his hands wittingly; for Manasseh was the firstborn.
Gen 48:15  And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day,
Gen 48:16  The Angel which redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named on them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the earth.

The word ‘grow’ comes from the Hebrew ‘dagah.’

Gen 48:17  And when Joseph saw that his father laid his right hand upon the head of Ephraim, it displeased him: and he held up his father’s hand, to remove it from Ephraim’s head unto Manasseh’s head.
Gen 48:18  And Joseph said unto his father, Not so, my father: for this is the firstborn; put thy right hand upon his head.
Gen 48:19  And his father refused, and said, I know it, my son, I know it: he also shall become a people, and he also shall be great: but truly his younger brother shall be greater than he, and his seed shall become a multitude of nations.

This phrase ‘multitude of nations’ comes from the Hebrew ‘melo hagoyim.’ This links Ephraim to the ‘lo-ammi’ mentioned above by the prophet Hosea.

Rom 11:25  For I do not want you to be ignorant of this mystery, brothers, so that you may not be wise within yourselves, that hardness in part has happened to Israel until the fullness of the nations (melo hagoyim) comes in;

Rom 11:26  and so all Israel (both houses) will be saved, even as it has been written, “The Deliverer will come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.
Rom 11:27  And this is My covenant with them, when I take away their sins.” (Jeremiah 31:33-34)

Paul & Peter link the nations/gentiles that are returning to the Most High through faith in Messiah Jesus with the ‘lo ammi.’

Rom 9:22  But if God, desiring to demonstrate His wrath, and to make His power known, endured in much long-suffering vessels of wrath having been fitted out for destruction,
Rom 9:23  and that He make known the riches of His glory on vessels of mercy which He before prepared for glory,
Rom 9:24  whom He also called, not only us, of Jews, but also out of nations.
Rom 9:25  As also He says in Hosea, I will call those Not My people, My people! And those not beloved, Beloved! Hosea 2:23
Rom 9:26  “And it shall be, in the place where it was said to them, You are not My people, there they will be called, “Sons of the Living God.” Hos. 2:23
Rom 9:27  But Isaiah cries on behalf of Israel, “If the number of the sons of Israel be as the sand of the sea, the remnant will be saved.”

1Pe 2:9  But you are “an elect race,” “a royal priesthood,” “a holy nation,” “a people for possession,” so that “you may openly speak of the virtues” of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; LXX-Ex. 23:22; MT-Ex. 19:5, 6
1Pe 2:10  you who then were “not a people, but now are the people” of God; “the one not pitied then but now pitied.” Hos. 1:6-10;  2:1, 23

Hos 1:6  And she conceived again and bore a daughter. And He said to him, Call her name No Mercy, for I will not again still have mercy on the house of Israel; but I will completely take them away.
Hos 1:7  And I will have mercy on the house of Judah and will save them by YHWH their God. And I will not save them by bow or by sword, or by battle, by horses, or by horsemen.
Hos 1:8  And she having weaned No Mercy, she conceived and bore a son.
Hos 1:9  Then He said, Call his name Not My People, for you are not My people, and I will not be for you.
Hos 1:10  Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, which is not measured nor numbered. And it shall be, in the place where it is said to them, You are not My people, it shall be said to them, Sons of the Living God.
Hos 1:11  And the sons of Judah and the sons of Israel shall be gathered together, and shall set over themselves one head. And they shall go up out of the land; for great shall be the day of Jezreel.

The Apostles (who take the bread of life to the world) were made fishers of men.

Mat 4:19  And He says to them, Come after Me, and I will make you fishers of men.

Winning souls is likened to ‘catching’ fish.

Pro 11:30  The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

The word ‘winneth’ is translated from the Hebrew word ‘laqach’ which means to take or catch.  Laqach makes an interesting to the current study.  The concepts mentioned above all link to the word laqach and the various words translated from it.

Mat 28:19  Then having gone, disciple all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20  teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.

As seen above, life is linked with being taught of YHWH.

Isaiah prophecies of the time where we will be ‘taught of YHWH.’  It is an amazing connection to the current study in regards to fish of the sea and the gospel of the Kingdom.

Isa 54:5  For your Maker is your husband; YHWH of Hosts is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He is called the God of all the earth. He is our ‘Ishi’ as the prophet Hosea says, we came from His ‘fifth rib’…
Isa 54:8  In a flood of wrath {links to lake of fire} I hid My face from you for a moment; but I will have pity on you with everlasting kindness, says YHWH your Redeemer.
Isa 54:9  For this is the waters of Noah to Me; for as I swore to refrain from passing over the waters of Noah over the earth again, so I have sworn from being angry with you and rebuking you.
Isa 54:10  For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My mercy shall not depart from you; nor shall the covenant of My peace be removed, says YHWH who has pity on you. This links to the covenant mentioned by the prophet Hosea with the ‘beasts’ of the field.
Isa 54:11  Afflicted one, storm tossed and not comforted! Behold, I am laying your stones with antimony, and have founded you with sapphires.
Isa 54:12  And I will make your battlements of ruby, and your gates carbuncle stones, and all your borders pleasing stones; This links to the time where the Most High will dwell among us, as mentioned above in Revelation 21.
Isa 54:13  and all your sons will be taught of YHWH; and the peace of your sons will be great.

Why do we have great peace? Because we are discipled in the Word
Psa 119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Schools of fish are linked to schools of men where men are made ‘disciples’.

Being discipled of the Most High is likened to being a little guy in His Eye.

A look at the English word pupil connects this concept of the apple of the eye to study (of the Torah).

Webster’s 1828 Dictionary – Pupil

PU’PIL, n. [L. pupilla, dim. of pupa, pupus. See Pup.]

The apple of the eye; a little aperture in the middle of the iris and uvea of the eye, through which the rays of light pass to the crystalline humor, to be painted on the retina.

PU’PIL, n. [L. pupillus, dim. of pupa, pupus. See Pup.]

1. A youth or scholar of either sex under the care of an instructor or tutor.

Walking as His disciples/students is seeking His Face as the apple of His eye/little guy in His eye.  The word ‘seek’ comes from d’rash which means to study.

Messiah commanded His followers to disciple all nations

Mat 28:19  Then having gone, disciple* all nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
Mat 28:20  teaching them to observe all things, whatever I commanded you. And, behold, I am with you all the days until the completion of the age. Amen.

1) to be a disciple of one
1a) to follow his precepts and instructions
2) to make a disciple
2a) to teach, instruct

The root of this Greek word is:

G3129
μανθάνω
manthanō

This word was used in the Septuagint to translate the following Hebrew words:

G3129 manthano

H502    alaph {This means to be yoked to an older ox – Matthew 11:29.  This is what a disciple is, one yoked to an older oxen in order to learn}
manthano     H3045    yada {This means to know, which is an intimate word used for relations between a man and wife…ie the seed being planted.   What is the seed?  The Word – Mark 4:14}

manthano     H3925    lamad qal,pi {This means to goad one in the right directionYoke}
manthano     H3286    yaga {This word means to weary oneself and goes back to the root word of ‘aph’ meaning the wings of a bird…}

The Apostles were sent forth to every creature, further linking the concept of man (in specific unbelieving man) to fish (beasts).

Mar 16:15  And He said to them, Going into all the world, preach the gospel to all the creation (KJV creature).

Under the Shadow of His Wings

As seen above, the fullness of the nations is linked to the Northern Tribes of Israel.  This is shown in Romans 11 in reference to a Tree.  This connects the nations to birds as well.

Mar 4:30  And He said, To what shall we compare the kingdom of God? Or with what parable shall we compare it?
Mar 4:31  It is like a grain of mustard, which, when it is sown on the earth, it is lesser than all the seeds of those on the earth.
Mar 4:32  And when it is sown, it comes up and becomes greater than all the plants, and produces great branches, so as to enable the birds of the heaven to roost under its shade.

This links to the Temple

Psa 91:1  He who dwells in the secret place (The Temple – Ezekiel 7:22) of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty.

The Tabernacle/His House = the abiding under His Wings

Psa 61:4  I will dwell in Your tabernacle forever; I will trust in the shelter of Your wings. Selah.

Psa 132:13  For the LORD hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.
2Co 6:16  And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people.

Just as fish travel in schools, birds travel in flocks.  The English word flock is used to translate multiple Hebrew words which connect to Israel/the body of Messiah.

The most common word used as flock is ‘tson.’  It is also translated as sheep.

Psa 100:3  Know that YHWH, He is God; He has made us, and not we ourselves, His people and the sheep of His pasture.

‘Eder’ is also translated as flock.  This word refers back to ‘order’ which points to the Wordclick here.

This word links to the parables that Messiah speaks of in regards to the Kingdom and the removal of the bad (the tares, and the bad fish).

The parables of the Messiah link grain (dagan) with fish (dag).

Fish

Mat 13:47  Again, the kingdom of Heaven is compared to a drag net thrown into the sea, and gathering together of every kind;
Mat 13:48  which, when it was filled, drawing it up on the shore, and sitting down, they gathered the good into containers, and they threw out the rotten.
Mat 13:49  So it will be in the completion of the age: the angels will go out and will separate the evil from the midst of the righteous,
Mat 13:50  and will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

This is equivalent to Grain

Mat 13:37  And answering, He said to them, The One sowing the good seed is the Son of Man.
Mat 13:38  And the field is the world; and the good seed, these are the sons of the kingdom; but the darnel are the sons of the evil one.
Mat 13:39  And the hostile one who sowed them is the Devil, and the harvest is the end of the age, and the angels are the reapers.
Mat 13:40  Then as the darnel is gathered and is consumed in the fire, so it will be in the completion of this age.
Mat 13:41  The Son of Man will send forth His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all the offenses, and those who practice lawlessness.
Mat 13:42  And they will throw them into the furnace of fire; there will be weeping and gnashing of the teeth.

Schools of fish and flocks of birds describe the concept of Genesis 1:20 and the ‘swarmers.’ Swarmers are a mass of beings moving together.  The Scriptures describe this as wisdom.  Wisdom = the Word (Jeremiah 8:9; Deuteronomy 4:5-6; Psalm 1119:98; Ezra 7:14-15; 1 Corinthians 1:24,30)

Pro 30:24  Four things are little on the earth, but they are the wise ones of those made wise:

Pro 30:27  the locusts have no king, yet they go out in a swarm, all of them;

This links to the body of Messiah.  The locusts move together as one, as if led by an invisible king.  So too, we have no earthly king to guide us, our King is in Heaven.  Yet, we all move together in a ‘swarm’ as the Spirit leads and guides us (John 16:13).  This same Spirit makes us ‘taught of YHWH.’

1Jn 2:27  And the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you. But as His anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and as He taught you, abide in Him.

It is interesting to note that locusts are among the only insects that can be eaten by man(Leviticus 11:21-22).  The fish that swim in schools are typically the fish that have fins and scales and are clean (Leviticus 11:9), the fish that swim by themselves are many times unclean.  The birds that fly in flocks are usually the clean animals whereas those who don’t, tend to be the birds of prey which are unclean.

This concept was described in the Pseudepigraphical book of Aristeas.

The letter of Aristeas
128 It is worth while to mention briefly the information which he gave in reply to our questions. For I suppose that most people feel a curiosity with regard to some of the enactments in the law, 129 especially those about meats and drinks and animals recognized as unclean. When we asked why, since there is but one form of creation, some animals are regarded as unclean for eating, and others unclean even to the touch (for though the law is scrupulous on most points, it is specially scrupulous on such 130 matters as these)…142Therefore lest we should be corrupted by any abomination, or our lives be perverted by evil communications, he hedged us round on all sides by 143 rules of purity, affecting alike what we eat, or drink, or touch, or hear, or see. For though, speaking generally, all things are alike in their natural constitution, since they are all governed by one and the same power, yet there is a deep reason in each individual case why we abstain from the use of certain things and enjoy the common use of others. For the sake of illustration I will run over one or two 144 points and explain them to you. For you must not fall into the degrading idea that it was out of regard to mice and weasels and other such things that Moses drew up his laws with such exceeding care. All these ordinances were made for the sake of righteousness to aid the quest for virtue and 145 the perfecting of character. For all the birds that we use are tame and distinguished by their cleanliness, feeding on various kinds of grain and pulse, such as for instance pigeons, turtle-doves, 146 locusts, partridges, geese also, and all other birds of this class. But the birds which are forbidden you will find to be wild and carnivorous, tyrannizing over the others by the strength which they possess, and cruelly obtaining food by preying on the tame birds enumerated above and not only so, but 147 they seize lambs and kids, and injure human beings too, whether dead or alive, and so by naming them unclean, he gave a sign by means of them that those, for whom the legislation was ordained, must practice righteousness in their hearts and not tyrannize over any one in reliance upon their own strength nor rob them of anything, but steer their course of life in accordance with justice, just as the tame birds, already mentioned, consume the different kinds of pulse that grow upon the earth 148 and do not tyrannize to the destruction of their own kindred. Our legislator taught us therefore that it is by such methods as these that indications are given to the wise, that they must be just and effect nothing by violence, and refrain from tyrannizing over others in reliance upon their own 149 strength. For since it is considered unseemly even to touch such unclean animals, as have been mentioned, on account of their particular habits, ought we not to take every precaution lest our own 150 characters should be destroyed to the same extent ? Wherefore all the rules which he has laid down with regard to what is permitted in the case of these birds and other animals, he has enacted with the object of teaching us a moral lesson. For the division of the hoof and the separation of the claws are intended to teach us that we must discriminate between our individual actions with a view 151 to the practice of virtue. For the strength of our whole body and its activity depend upon our shoulders and limbs. Therefore he compels us to recognize that we must perform all our actions with discrimination according to the standard of righteousness -more especially because we have 152 been distinctly separated from the rest of mankind. For most other men defile themselves by promiscuous intercourse, thereby working great iniquity, and whole countries and cities pride themselves upon such vices. For they not only have intercourse with men but they defile their own 153 mothers and even their daughters. But we have been kept separate from such sins. And the people who have been separated in the aforementioned way are also characterized by the Lawgiver as possessing the gift of memory. For all animals ” which are cloven-footed and chew the cud ” 154 represent to the initiated the symbol of memory. For the act of chewing the cud is nothing else than the reminiscence of life and existence. For life is wont to be sustained by means of food 155 wherefore he exhorts us in the Scripture also in these words: ‘ Thou shalt surely remember the Lord that wrought in thee those great and wonderful things”…167My brief account of these matters ought to have convinced you, that all our regulations have been drawn up with a view to righteousness, and that nothing has been enacted in the Scripture thoughtlessly or without due reason, but its purpose is to enable us throughout our whole life and in all our actions 169 to practice righteousness before all men, being mindful of Almighty God. And so concerning meats and things unclean, creeping things, and wild beasts, the whole system aims at righteousness and righteous relationships between man and man.

‘You are what you eat’

Ephraim prophesied to be cast into the nations and eat unclean food.  As seen above, Ephraim became the ‘fullness of the nations’ or ‘gentiles.’click here
Hos 9:3  They shall not live in the land of YHWH. But Ephraim shall return to Egypt, and they shall eat unclean things in Assyria.

Peter was shown a vision where the nations were described as unclean beasts.

Act 10:9  On the morrow, as they went on their journey, and drew nigh unto the city, Peter went up upon the housetop to pray about the sixth hour:
Act 10:10  And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
Act 10:11  And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Act 10:12  Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
Act 10:13  And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
Act 10:14  But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
Act 10:15  And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
Act 10:16  This was done thrice: and the vessel was received up again into heaven.

MAN IS NOT COMMON OR UNCLEAN
Act 10:28  And he said unto them, Ye know how that it is an unlawful thing for a man that is a Jew to keep company, or come unto one of another nation; but God hath shewed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.
Act 10:34  Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons:
Act 10:35  But in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him.

Man is sanctified through the Word.  So too is food.

Joh 17:17  Sanctify them in Your Truth; Your Word is Truth.

1Ti 4:4  Because every creature of God is good, and nothing to be thrust away, but having been received with thanksgiving;
1Ti 4:5  for through God’s Word and supplication it is sanctified.

Life is linked with food as seen above.  The first commandment given to man dealt with food and life.

Gen 2:17  but of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil you may not eat, for in the day that you eat of it, dying you shall die.

Isaiah prophecies of a time where this may be replayed.

Isa 66:17  They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine’s flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

153 Fish & the Sons of God

Joh 21:5  Then Jesus said to them, Children, do you not have anything to eat? They answered Him, No.
Joh 21:6  And He said to them, Cast the net into the right side of the boat and you will find.
Joh 21:7  Then they cast, and they no longer had the strength to draw, from the multitude of the fish. Then the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, It is the Lord. Then hearing that it is the Lord, Simon Peter girded on his coat (for he was naked) and threw himself into the sea.
Joh 21:8  And the other disciples came in the little boat, for they were not far from the land, only about two hundred cubits, dragging the net of the fish.
Joh 21:9  Then when they went up on the land, they saw a coal fire lying, and a fish lying on it, and bread.
Joh 21:10  Jesus said to them, Bring from the little fish which you caught now.
Joh 21:11  Simon Peter went up and dragged the net onto the land, full of big fish, a
hundred and fifty three. And though being so many, the net was not torn.

Sons of God ‘Bnai Elohim’ is 153

This is what it all comes down to.  Being sons of God through faith in Messiah.  Being ‘reborn’ into His image.  Or being ‘sons of god’ through the tree of knowledge.  Being ‘reborn’ into the image of the beast.

As seen above, the job of the fishers of men is to pull ‘laqach’ the nations out of the lake of fire.  The word in Greek here is harpazo which is the word used in 1 Thessalonians 4:17 as ‘caught up’ to meet the Lord in the air at His return.  We can be translated into the Kingdom of His Son (Colossians 1:13) or we can stay in the kingdom of darkness which leads to the lake of fire.

The 153 fish were caught in a net.  The word net comes from the Greek ‘dikruon’ which traces back to the Hebrew word ‘reshet.’  ‘Reshet’ comes from the root רש which is also the root word for ‘erosh’ which means betroth.  Here we see a deep connection to the 153 fish being the bride of Messiah.

Going back to the word ‘laqach’

‘Mlaqach’ is a cognate of ‘laqach’ and makes an interesting connection to the concept of fishing.

We are to ‘fish’ the nations out of the lake of fire.

Jud 1:23  But save others with fear, snatching (Greek harpazo) them out of the fire, hating even the garment being stained from the flesh.

Warfare

The number 5 is linked to warfare.  The word for five in Hebrew is chamesh which means the hand, or arming for battle.

The word for army, commonly translated as hosts, in Hebrew is ‘tseva’ which connects to stars.  The stars are described as hosts and are a picture of Yisrael, YHWH’s army/host.  The adversary seeks to counterfeit this with his own army and his own star which is pictured by the hexagramclick here and pentagramclick here.

Further displaying this concept of war and the truth of Messiah versus the counterfeit of satan is seen in that the word Christ is used 555 times in the King James Bible.  Satan is used 55 times and devils 55 times.

Israel is likened to fish as seen above.  What is the counterfeit?  The fish god Dagon and his priests.

Dagon represents the beast from the sea (Revelation 13:1).  The beast from the sea is a counterfeit savior who seeks to establish a counterfeit kingdom of God.

Dagon is linked to the mark of the beast (on the head and hand), which is a counterfeit of the Mark of YHWHclick here.

1Sa 5:4 And they rose early in the morning on the next day; and, behold! Dagon had fallen on its face to the earth before the ark of YHWH, and the head of Dagon, and the two palms of its hands, were cut off at the threshold. Only the flat part had been left to him.

The beast is equivalent to the dragon Leviathan (Genesis 1:21 – tanniyn).

Eze 29:3 Speak, and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, Pharaoh king of Egypt, the great dragon (tanniyn) that lieth in the midst of his rivers, which hath said, My river is mine own, and I have made it for myself.
Eze 32:2 Son of man, lift up a lament over Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and say to him, You were like a young lion of the nations, and you were like the monster (tanniyn) in the seas. And you burst forth in your rivers and stirred up the waters with your feet and fouled their rivers.

Messiah comes to destroy this beast

Our war is against this beast kingdom

Eph 6:10 For the rest, my brothers, be made powerful in the Lord and in the might of His strength.

The War is over through the resurrection in Messiah.  His people become the Sons of God by overcoming the fallen angels (sons of God of Genesis 6).

Warfare & bread

Gen 3:19 By the sweat of your face you shall eat bread until your return to the ground. For you have been taken out of it; for you are dust, and to dust you shall return.

Bread is linked to warfare

War is over through the resurrection in Messiah
Job 14:14 If a man dies, will he revive? All the days of my warfare I will wait, until my change comes. Isa 40:2 Speak lovingly to the heart of Jerusalem; yea, cry to her that her warfare is done, that her iniquity is pardoned; for she has taken from the hand of YHWH double for all her sins.

He gives us the bread that comes without toil
Rev 2:17 The one who has an ear, hear what the Spirit says to the assemblies. To the one overcoming, I will give him to eat from the hidden manna. And I will give to him a white stone, and on the stone a new name having been written, which no one knows except the one receiving it.

The battle between His people and the dragon(tanniyn) is illustrated in the book of Jonah.  Jonah overcame the great fish through the resurrection after 3 days.

Jon 1:17 And YHWH had appointed a great fish to swallow Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.

The belly of the great fish is likened unto hell

Jon 2:1  And Jonah prayed to YHWH his God out of the belly of the fish.
Jon 2:2  And he said, I cried out to YHWH from my distress. And He answered me. Out of the belly of Sheol I cried for help, and You heard my voice.

Jonah was a picture of Messiah (Matthew 12:39), and also His body.

Heb 2:14  Since, then, the children have partaken of flesh and blood, in like manner He Himself also shared the same things, that through death He might cause to cease the one having the power of death, that is, the devil;

Hos 6:1 Come and let us return to YHWH. For He has torn, and He will heal us. He has stricken, and He will bind us up.

Blue

Life began in the waters (fish) and the sky (birds) both of which are the color blue.

The word blue is from two Hebrew words.  כחל & תכלת.  Both words come from the root:

As seen above, this word ‘kol’ links to the bride and bread.

The word that is used predominantly in the Bible is ‘tekhelet.’  ‘Khachol’ is used only once and is translated as paint in the Scriptures (Ezekiel 23:40).

Interestingly, the eye is connected with the color blue and water

The word ‘eye’ comes from the Hebrew ‘ayin’.

The root of ayin is:

This root ‘an’ is also the root word for abode/home.

The root of the two Hebrew words for blue, ‘Kol’ is also the root of the word Temple (Hekhel).  Where is His throne?  In Heaven, which is intimately connected to the word blue which is also on the waters (Psalm 29:3). Ayin/eye is also the word for a spring.  Above, it is seen that the Hebrew word for well/spring is maqor which connects water and blood.  On a deeper level, the throne of Elohim is pictured in our bodies by the heart.

Psa 36:9  For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

Lev 12:7  And he shall bring it near before YHWH, and shall atone for her; and she shall be cleansed from the fountain of her blood; this is the law of her who bears, whether a male or a female.

1Jn 5:5  Who is the one overcoming the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
1Jn 5:6  This is the One coming through water and blood, Jesus Christ; not by the water only, but by the water and the blood. And the Spirit is the One witnessing, because the Spirit is the truth.
1Jn 5:7  For there are three bearing witness in Heaven: the Father, the Word, and the Holy Spirit; and these three are one.
1Jn 5:8  And there are three who bear witness on the earth: The Spirit, and the water, and the blood; and the three are to the one.

The Spirit, the water, and the blood are one.  The Spirit is likened to the living waters (John 7:37-39), the living waters come forth from His throne (Revelation 21:6; 22:1-2, 14)  How does the blood connect to this?  Our bodies are a picture of His Temple.  His throne = the human heart from whence flows the river of life (blood)…

The eternal organs in our bodies are a shadow picture of the Kingdom click here.  Our bodies are His Temple (Ephesians 2:21-22; 5:30; 1 Corinthians 6:19).   In the book of Revelation (Chapter 4) John is shown a vision of the Throne of God.  Around the throne and the 4 living creatures are 24 elders (Revelation 4:4) representing the 24 ribs surrounding the human heart.  From the heart blood is pumped to the Lungs.  As seen in Genesis 1:2-5click here , the etymology of the English word ‘Lung’ traces back to the meaning of Light.  In our bodies our lungs have 7 vascular bundles called nodes.  These represent the 7 Spirits of God (Revelation 4:5; Isaiah 11:1-3).  These 7 Spirits/Ruach/Breathe are pictured in the earthly Tabernacle/Temple by the Menorah.  The Menorah is a picture of the Tree of Life.  The Light of the world.

Rev 4:5  And out of the throne come forth lightnings and thunders and voices. And seven lamps of fire are burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God;

The lightning corresponds to the electrical activity of the heart.  The thunderings are the ‘Lub Dub‘ of the heart.  This imagery connects with storms and whirlwinds which is discussed in more detail above.

As seen above, the throne of God is in heaven.  The color blue, connects blood to heaven.  Blood is blue until it receives oxygen from the lungs.  The sky is blue except for the times of dawn and dusk.

Gen 3:8  And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool* of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden.
*This word in Hebrew is ‘Ruach’ which means wind/breath/spirit.

The eyes and the heart are connected in Scripture.

Opening of the eyes is linked with a ‘burning heart’

Luk 24:31  And their eyes were opened, and they knew Him. And He became invisible from them.
Luk 24:32  And they said to one another, Was not our heart burning in us as He spoke to us in the highway, and as He opened up to us the Scriptures?

Mat 6:20  But treasure up for you treasures in Heaven, where neither moth nor rust cause to perish, and where thieves do not dig through and steal.
Mat 6:21  For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Mat 6:22  The lamp of the body is the eye. Then if your eye is sound, all your body is light.
Mat 6:23  But if your eye is evil, all your body is dark. If, then, the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Messiah spoke of the living waters coming out of the belly in John 7:37-39, in Greek the word for belly is ‘kardia’.  This Greek word is also used to translate the Hebrew word for heart, which is lev.

Linking the ‘eye’ to heaven

Helix Nebula

Notice the color combination of this nebula.  Red and blue.  Linking the waters and the blood to the ‘eye’ in the heavens.  Interestingly, this nebula is found in the constellation of Aquarius, the water bearer.  The Helix Nebula is actually coil shaped (the Fibonacci pattern) but appears round because we are only seeing one end of it.  This is the image I have used to express the concept of the ‘little guy in the eye’ of YHWH.  In that study it is shown that being the apple of His eye is linked to dwelling under the shadow of His wings/ under His canopy or the 4 corners of His ‘garment’.  On the four corners of our garments are to be the ‘tzitzit.’  What color was to be used in these tzitzit?  Blue/tekhelet.

Lapis Lazuli/Sapphire

of a sapphire stone: The Hebrew sappir, is without doubt the sapphire; which is a most beautiful precious stone of a fine blue colour, second only to the diamond in lustre, hardness, and value. The ancient oriental sapphire is supposed to have been the same as the lapis lazuli. It glitters with golden spots; and is of an azure or sky-blue colour, but rarely intermixed with purple. The ruby and topaz are considered of the same genus. Eze_1:26-27, Eze_10:1; Rev_4:3, Rev_21:19-23

Sapphire comes from the following root, linking the color blue with the Word:

Exo 24:9  And Moses and Aaron went up with Nadab and Abihu, and seventy from the elders of Israel.
Exo 24:10  And they saw the God of Israel. And under His feet was as the work of a pavement of sapphire, and the same as the essence of the heavens for clearness.
Exo 24:11  And He did not stretch out His hand to the nobles of the sons of Israel. And they saw God, and they ate and drank.

Eze 1:26  And from above the expanse that was over their heads was an appearance like a stone of lapis lazuli azure blue, the likeness of a throne. And on the likeness of the throne was a likeness in appearance like a man on it from above.

Moshe & Sapphire

In Rabbinic tradition, the Stone of the Ten Commandments as well as the Rod of Moses was made of sapphire.  Whether or not this was true or not can be argued, this information is provided to further link the concept of the color blue and the Word.

From the Jewish Encyclopedia

“Moses had in his tent a block of sapphire, created for the very purpose, from which he hewed the second set of tables (Pirḳe R. El, l.c.).  This sapphire was of a nature that admitted of the tables being rolled up (Ex. R. viii.; Cant. R. v. 14).  The sapphire from which Moses hewed the tables had been quarried from the solar disk (Cant. R. v. 14).”

Star Sapphires

Star sapphires contain needles of the mineral rutile that reflect light in six star like rays.

A star sapphire is a type of sapphire that exhibits a star-like phenomenon known as asterism. Star sapphires contain intersecting needle-like inclusions (often the mineral rutile, a mineral composed primarily of titanium dioxide that cause the appearance of a six-rayed ‘star’-shaped pattern when viewed with a single overhead light source.

Remember above, in the definition of the word sapphire, it is traced back to Saturnclick here.  Saturn is linked to Dagon, the beast mentioned above.  Again the concept of warfare between the Truth/Word and the counterfeit.

http://www.betemunah.org/staff.html

Greg Killian has a very in depth study on the Rod of Moses which I recommend at the above link.

The points I want to bring out from his study are as follows:

“The Throne of Glory was also seen as made of sapphire (Ezekiel 1:26, 10:1). This stone is related to wisdom (Bachya on Exodus 28:18), and the Hebrew word sappir  is related to sefer, a book (Tzioni). It is also related to vision (Bachya loc. cit.). Some say that this “sapphire” is like a “third eye,” through which mystical vision is attained (Raavad on Sefer Yetzirah 1:1), and indeed, this third eye is associated with a sapphire blue color.”

Notice that sapphire is related to sefer/book and mystically is seen as being related to opening of the third eye.  This is linked to the mark of the beast.  In the garden there were two trees of which man could choose in regards to eternal life.  The tree of Life, who is Messiah or the tree of knowledge which points to the serpent.  Wisdom from above or carnal ‘wisdom.’  The ultimate goal of both was life.  Eternal life through Messiah, or ‘ye shall not die’ that comes forth from the tree of knowledge.

Partaking of the tree of knowledge is the mark of the beastclick here.  It is not the purpose of this study to go into depth on this concept, but it is important to bring forth a few important concepts in relation to this.  Hexagonal shapes are related to water, and sapphire (blue), both of which point to the Word/Messiah.  However, the hexagram shape points to the adversary, the mark of the beast/Saturn.  Why is this?  The adversary seeks to counterfeit the Messiahclick here .  Jesus is the image of the Father (Hebrews 1:3).  The adversary seeks to counterfeit that image so instead of the living waters pointing to Jesus , mankind is led to make images of the hexagram which point to satan.  The pentagram is linked with the mark of the beast as well, yet the Fibonacci pattern which points to Messiah is intimately connected with the pentagon.  In short, creation, the handiwork of YHWH points to Messiah Jesus .  The handiwork of man, ‘images engraven by man’s device’, point to the adversary.  One is living, the other dead.  Choose ye this day, life or death…

Tzitzit

“One of the threads, of the tzitzith, should be the color of tekhelet, which is a blue-green dye made from a specific aquatic animal, the Chalizon.

The commentators call the Chalizon a `fish’ since it lives in the water. It appears, though, that the Chalizon is not a normal `fish,’ but has a shell and is actually a type of snail.”

“Menachoth 43b It was taught: R. Meir used to say, Why is blue specified from all the other colours [for this precept]? Because blue resembles the color of the sea, and the sea resembles the color of the sky, and the sky resembles the color of [a sapphire, and a sapphire resembles the color of] the Throne of Glory, as it is said, And there was under his feet as it were a paved work of sapphire stone, and it is also written, The likeness of a throne as the appearance of a sapphire stone.

Menachoth 44a ‘The Chalizon resembles the sea in its color, and in shape it resembles a fish; it appears once in seventy years, and with its blood one dyes the blue thread; and therefore it is so expensive.

The Torah tells us that the tzitzith are to be on the four corners:

Devarim (Deuteronomy) 22:12 Thou shalt make thee fringes upon the four corners of thy vesture, wherewith thou coverest [thyself].

What is interesting is that the Hebrew word for corners, (kanfot), is the same Hebrew word translated as wings in:

Shemot (Exodus) 19:4 Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and [how] I bare you on eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.

Malachi 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.”

Grabbing the tzitzit of Messiah’s garment completes us/perfects us.  The four corners of the earth/four corners of His garment…

The above word is spelled exactly the same as tekhelet/tzitzit with the addition of a yod.  The letter yod represents the hand, so it can be seen that the hand grabbing the tzitzit of His garment brings perfection/completion.  This connects again to the cross.  On the cross, the last words of Messiah were ‘it is finished’.  In Hebrew, the word for finished/complete is also the same as the word for bride.  Where does the bride dwell?  Under the shadow of the wings of her husband (Ruth 3:9).

Zec 8:23  So says YHWH of Hosts: In those days ten men out of all languages of the nations shall take hold, and will seize the skirt of a man, a Jew, saying, Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.

We are to take a hold of Messiah’s garments.  Not Judaism.  The above verse is not a prophecy of the gentiles turning to Judaism, but a prophecy linking back to Malachi 4 and the Sun of Righteousness.

Tzitzit, Lamb, Dew,  Heavens connection

The four corners of the heavens from which YHWH will gather all Yisrael (Isaiah 11:12; Jeremiah 49:36; Matthew 24:31) are pictured by the corners of the Tallit.  The word Tallit is not used in the Scriptures but traces back to the word ‘tal’ which means a covering.

Notice the connection to the heavens, which is described as a garment.

Tayil has the exact same meaning as raqiya (expanse/firmament)

Rev 7:14  And I said to him, Sir, you know. And he said to me, These are those coming out of the great tribulation; and they washed their robes and whitened them in the blood of the Lamb.
Rev 7:15  Because of this they are before the throne of God, and serve Him day and night in His sanctuary. And He sitting on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them.

Notice the above connection between the garments of the righteous being washed in the blood of the Lamb and being those who dwell under the shadow of His wings.

What is the word for Lamb?  Taleh which means to be covered (in spots), which links to the Tallit (covered).

Looking at the spotted hide of the lamb connects to the stars of the ‘garment’ of heaven and the spots of light inside the ancient nomad’s tent.  The four corners of the heavens that link to the four corners of our garments and the tzitzit that hang therefrom, connect to the four corners of the tent.  The nails in the four corners of the tent connect to the nails that pierced the hands and feet of the Messiah where the blood came forth linking to the living waters as seen above in the Hebrew word ‘kar’.  Amazingly, the word kar, from whence the word for wellspring/fountain derives, means a ‘hollow hand’ which is also another word for lamb.

Furthermore, the hands of Messiah are linked to the four corners of the heavens through the walls of New Jerusalem.  Isaiah 49:15-16 says that Yisrael is carved on the palms of his hands which links to the 12 walls of New Jerusalem, Revelation 21:12-27.  The lines of the human hands where the fingers bend show these 12 walls.  In the Temple during Solomon’s days, flowers were carved into the walls of the Temple.  The Hebrew word for these flowers is ‘tsuts’ which is the root of tzitzit (1Kings 6:18).

The Letter ה

The Hebrew letter ‘heh’ is equivalent to the number 5 and links to the current study.

Outstretched Arms

Joh 8:28  Then Jesus said to them, When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I AM; and from Myself I do nothing; but as My Father taught Me, these things I speak.

Joh 19:19  And Pilate also wrote a title and put it on the cross. And having been written, it was: JESUS THE NAZARENE, THE KING OF THE JEWS.

Joh 12:32  And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all to Myself (John 8:28 Messiah states this is how they will know He is ‘I AM’).
Joh 12:33  But He said this, signifying by what kind of death He was about to die.
Joh 12:34  The crowd answered Him, We heard out of the Law that The Christ remains to the age. And how do You say that the Son of Man must be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?
Joh 12:35  Then Jesus said to them, Yet a little while the Light is with you. Walk while you have the Light, that darkness not overtake you. And the one walking in the darkness does not know where he is going.
Joh 12:36  While you have the Light, believe into the Light, that you may become sons of Light. Jesus spoke these things, and going away He was hidden from them.
Joh 12:37  But though He had done so many miraculous signs before them, they did not believe into Him,
Joh 12:38  so that the Word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he said, “Lord, who has believed our report? And the arm of the Lord, to whom was it revealed?”
Isa. 53:1 (the Arm of YHWH = the Malak of YHWH…)
Joh 12:39  Because of this they could not believe, because Isaiah said again,
Joh 12:40  “He has blinded their eyes” and “has hardened their heart,” “that they might not see with the eyes” and “understand with the heart,” “and be converted,” “and I should heal them.”
Isa. 6:10
Joh 12:41  Isaiah said these things when he saw His glory, and spoke about Him.

Albert Barnes commentary Joh 12:41 –
When he saw his glory – Isa_6:1-10. Isaiah saw the Lord (in Hebrew, יהוה  Yahweh) sitting on a throne and surrounded with the seraphim. This is perhaps the only instance in the Bible in which Yahweh is said to have been seen by man, and for this the Jews affirm that Isaiah was put to death. God had said Exo_33:20, “No man shall see me and live;” and as Isaiah affirmed that he had seen Yahweh, the Jews, for that and other reasons, put him to death by sawing him asunder. See Introduction to Isaiah, Section 2.
By his glory is meant the manifestation of him – the Shechinah, or visible cloud that was a representation of God, and that rested over the mercy-seat. This was regarded as equivalent to seeing God, and John here expressly applies this to the Lord Jesus Christ

John affirms that it was the glory of the Messiah that Isaiah saw, and yet Isaiah affirms that it was Yahweh; and from this the inference is irresistible that John regarded Jesus as the Yahweh whom Isaiah saw.”

The pictographs of יהוה speak of Him being revealed through the nails in His Hands

Joh 20:27  Then He said to Thomas, Bring your finger here and see My hands, and bring your hand and thrust into My side, and be not unbelieving, but believing.
Joh 20:28  And Thomas answered and said to Him, My Lord and my God!

Mal 3:1  Behold, I am sending My messenger, and He will clear the way before Me. And the Lord whom you are seeking shall suddenly come to His temple, even the Angel of the Covenant, in whom you delight. Behold, He comes, says YHWH of Hosts.

Isa 63:9  In all their affliction, He was not a foe; and the Angel of his Face saved them. In His love and in His pity He redeemed them. And He bore them up, and lifted them up all the days of old.

Psa 42:5  O my soul, why are you cast down and moan within me? Hope in God, for I shall yet thank Him for the salvation of His presence(yeshua of His Face).

Psa 42:5 (42:6) מה־תשׁתוחחי נפשׁי ותהמי עלי הוחילי לאלהים כי־עוד אודנו ישׁועות פניו׃

Number 5 & Grace

E.W. Bullinger – Number in Scripture
“Five is four plus one (4+1). We have had hitherto the three persons of the Godhead, and their manifestation in creation. Now we have a further revelation of a People called out from mankind, redeemed and saved, to walk with God from earth to heaven. Hence, Redemption follows creation. Inasmuch as in consequence of the fall of man creation came under the curse and was “made subject to vanity,” therefore man and creation must be redeemed. Thus we have:

1. Father
2. Son
3. Spirit
4. Creation
5. RedemptionThese are the five great mysteries, and five is therefore the number of GRACE”

ה – Life

The Letter ‘heh’ is linked to breath, and therefore to life. The pronunciation of the letter heh is the exhaling of breath. This is where life comes from (Genesis 2:7; 7:22).

This breath comes from Messiah.

Psa 33:6 Through the Word of YHWH the heavens were made; and all their host were made by the breath of His mouth.

Literally =Messiah YHWH

This is further seen by examining the Septuagint and cross referencing it to the New Testament.

Camp – Grace connection
Gen 9:27  God shall enlarge Japheth, and He* shall live in the tents of Shem, and Canaan shall be their slave.
*Grammatically, ‘He’ is speaking of God.  God shall dwell in the tents of Shem, this is the meaning of the word grace

Grace chenGrace literally means the camp of the family.  Yisrael in the wilderness, dwelling in camps with the Glory of YHWH in their midst is the perfect definition of Grace.

Grace – Freedom connection

H2600  חנּם chinnâm
BDB Definition:
1) freely, for nothing, without cause

Chinnam comes from the root Chen/grace.

Another word for Freedom/Liberty in Hebrew comes from da’rar.  The root of this word is:

dor freedomfree darar

It is interesting that one of the words for freedom in Hebrew means free flowing.  This is the meaning of the word Jubilee (50 years).  It is in the Jubilee that we are brought back to our family and our possessions.  This was the task of the Messiah, to bring mankind back to the House.   The first letter of the Scriptures is a bet.  In Torah scrolls that Bet is enlarged to draw our attention to the importance of the Houseclick here.  Creation started as a House for YHWH to dwell with His creation and in the end the New Jerusalem be established on earth so that YHWH can dwell with His creation.  This is the meaning of grace.
