This evening begins the 12th month of the Biblical calendar. The twelfth month has come to be known as אדר ‘adar’ (Esther 3:7, 13; Ezra 6:15) which means a wide robe worn by those who are in positions of honor and majesty.
This word is linked to the Most High, especially in reference to when He came to earth.
Exo 15:6 Your right hand, O YHWH, is glorious in power; O YHWH, Your right hand dashes the enemy to pieces.
Exo 15:11 Who is like You among the gods, O YHWH? Who is like You, glorified in holiness, fearful in praises, O Worker of wonders?
Exo 15:2 The LORD is my strength and song, and he is become my salvation {Literally YHWH has become my ‘Yeshua’}: he is my God, and I will prepare him an habitation; my father’s God, and I will exalt him.
Isa 42:21 YHWH is delighted for His righteousness’ sake; He will magnify the Law and make it honorable.
This is what Jesus came to do, to bring honor to the Torah and show its true intent...Love.
Mat 22:36 Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?
Mat 22:37 And Jesus said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.” Deut. 6:5
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like it: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Lev. 19:18
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments all the Law and the Prophets hang.
אדר ‘adar’ is pointing to the ultimate display of love, Messiah’s sacrifice.
Zec 11:13 And YHWH said to Me, Throw it to the potter, the magnificent (אדר ‘adar’) price at which I was valued by them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw it to the potter in the house of YHWH.
Joh 15:13 Greater love than this has no one, that anyone should lay down his soul for his friends.
The root of the word אדר ‘adar’ is דר ‘dar’ which is translated as ‘pearl.’
The 12th month is linked to the 12 pearls/gates of New Jerusalem.
Rev 21:21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls; respectively each one of the gates was of one pearl. And the street of the city was pure gold, as transparent glass.
The Greek word for pearl is μαργαρίτης ‘margaritēs’ and is linked to the Word.
Mat 13:45 Again, the kingdom of Heaven is compared to a man, a merchant seeking excellent pearls;
Mat 13:46 who finding one very precious pearl, going away has sold all things, as many as he had, and bought it.
The Hebrew word for ‘word’ is דבר ‘davar’ means order and arrangement as in the arrangement of letters to form words. דבר ‘davar’ comes from the root דר ‘dar’ which means a ‘circle.’ Amazingly, when man speaks the sound that comes forth is in the shape of a circle or ‘pearl.’
The studies of John Stuart Reid reveal that the shape of sound coming from our mouths when we speak is likened unto a ‘pearl.’
The word for pearl in Matthew 7:6 comes from the Greek word ‘margarites’ which literally means a proverb or word of great value.
The Greek word ‘margaros/margaron’ meaning a pearl comes from the Hebrew word is גרעין ‘gariyn’ which means grain, or a seed.
Luk 8:11 And this is the parable: The seed is the Word of God.
The Pearl further connects to the Word in that the word translated as pearl in Ester 1:6 is the Hebrew word דר ‘dar’ which is the root of the word דבר ‘davar’ which means ‘word’ in Hebrew. Here we see a deeper meaning of the word דבר ‘davar.’ דר ‘dar’ is a pearl or circle. The letter ב means a house or body. דבר ‘davar’ then can mean the pearls that come forth from the house…this is exactly what our words are…
The English word dark traces back to the Akkadian word ‘adaru’ which means to be dark which traces back further to the Hebrew word אדר ‘adar.’
This is interesting as the garments or robe of majesty of Yah is Light.
Psa 104:2 covering Yourself with light like a cloak, and stretching out the heavens like a curtain;
Yet, He also covers Himself in darkness.
Psa 18:11 He made darkness His covering, His pavilion all around Him, darkness of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
Psa 97:2 Clouds and darkness are all around Him; righteousness and judgment are the foundation of His throne.
2Ch 6:1 Then Solomon spoke, YHWH has said that He would dwell in the thick darkness.
2Sa 22:12 And He made darkness pavilions all around Him, the gathering of waters, thick clouds of the skies.
2Sa 22:13 From the brightness before Him were brands of fire kindled!
This is what His Word is likened unto, both Light and Darkness.
Psa 139:12 Even the darkness will not be dark from You, but the night shines as the day; as is the darkness, so is the light.
Psa 78:1 A Lesson of Asaph. O my people, listen to my law; bow your ears to the words of my mouth.
Psa 78:2 I will open my mouth in a parable; I will pour forth dark sayings of old,
Pro 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my
The Pillar of Cloud & Fire (darkness and light)
Psa 105:39 He spread a cloud for a covering; and fire to give light in the night.
Psa 78:14 And He led them by a cloud in the day, and all the night with a light of fire.
Exo 13:21 And YHWH was going before them by day in a pillar of cloud, to lead them in the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give light to them, to go by day and by night.
The pillar of cloud is equivalent with His Glory
Eze 10:4 Then the glory of the LORD went up from the cherub, and stood over the threshold of the house; and the house was filled with the cloud, and the court was full of the brightness of the LORD’S glory.
Who is His Glory? Messiah Jesus.
Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.
