
My opposition to Zionism is not equivalent with hatred for the Jewish people. I stand against Zionism because I love Jewish people as does the Most High (Romans 11:28). I stand against Zionism because my desire is to see Israel saved (Romans 10:1). Zionism is a deterrent to the Gospel and is in opposition to Christ Jesus. As a disciple of Jesus, I am called to stand against that which is opposed against Him.
2Co 10:3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
2Co 10:4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2Co 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Most of this study is going to come from Jewish sources on the subject to show that it is not anti-semitic to oppose Zionism. You don’t have to worry about the Almighty cursing you for cursing the ‘Jews’ because Orthodox Jews have stood against Zionism for many many years.
Unfortunately, the majority of what is shown in this article is not going to come from Scripture due to the need to address this subject historically in order to understand that it is not Biblical.

This is the view of most Zionists and many many Christians but is it true? How many people, who support the state of Israel, have ever really studied its history? How many have taken the time to look at both sides of the subject? I will give you the negative side of Zionism in this study so you can compare it to the mainstream view and see which one is true.
At the bottom of the article is a link to a video where John Hagee is peddling a new book where he says he proves that Jesus did not come to earth be the Messiah so the Jews could not have denied him. He says that Jesus did not claim to be Messiah in word or deed…?!?!? This is Zionism exemplified. Praising and defending Jews/Judaism no matter what they do or teach.
Definition of Zionism:
“An international movement originally for the establishment of a Jewish national or religious community in Palestine and later for the support of modern Israel.” (“Zionism,” Webster’s 11th Collegiate Dictionary). See also “Zionism”, Encyclopedia Britannica, which describes it as a “Jewish nationalist movement that has had as its goal the creation and support of a Jewish national state in Palestine, the ancient homeland of the Jews,” and The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, which defines it as “A Jewish movement that arose in the late 19th century in response to growing anti-Semitism and sought to reestablish a Jewish homeland in Palestine. Modern Zionism is concerned with the support and development of the state of Israel.”
Among most, Zionism is looked up as a positive thing that was brought forth by the Almighty. Is this the case? Many believe it is a fulfillment of prophecy spoken of in Scripture. It is true, the Zionist movement is fulfilling prophecy…but not the prophecy that most of us are taught. In this study I intend to show evidence that Zionism is not a tool of YHWH to bring the chosen people back to the land, but a tool of the adversary to bring about a counterfeit regathering to prepare the way for the antichrist.
Dan 11:14 And in those times many shall stand up against the king of the south. And the sons of the violent ones (KJV robbers Heb.ben periytz)* of your people shall rise up to establish the vision, but they shall stumble.
*Periytz in Hebrew comes from peretz which means a breach. The literal meaning of the word is “A thief or robber as a vicious beast in the sense of escaping out and spreading out wildly”.
This gives new meaning to the ‘repairers of the breach’ spoken of by Isaiah the prophet (Isaiah 58:12)
Eze 11:1 And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me to the eastern gate of the house of YHWH, the gate which faces eastward. And, behold, at the opening of the gate were twenty five men. And I saw among them Jaazaniah the son of Azzur, and Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, leaders of the people.
Eze 11:2 And He said to me, Son of man, these are the men who plot evil and advise wicked advice in this city,
Eze 11:3 who say, It is not near, let us build houses; she is the pot, and we are the flesh.
Eze 11:4 So prophesy against them, prophesy, son of man!
Eze 11:5 And the Spirit of YHWH fell on me and said to me, Speak, So says YHWH: So you have said, house of Israel, for I Myself know the elevations of your spirit.
Eze 11:6 You have multiplied your dying ones in this city, and you have filled her streets with the dying.
Eze 11:7 So the Lord YHWH says this: Your dying ones whom you have laid in her midst, they are the flesh, and she is the pot. But I will bring you forth out of her midst.
Eze 11:8 You have feared the sword, but I will bring a sword on you, says the Lord YHWH.
Eze 11:9 And I will bring you out of her midst and will give you into the hand of strangers. And I will execute judgments against you.
Eze 11:10 You shall fall by the sword. I will judge you to the border of Israel, and you shall know that I am YHWH.
Eze 11:11 This city shall not be for a pot to you, nor shall you be in its midst for flesh. But I will judge you in the border of Israel,
Eze 11:12 and you shall know that I am YHWH in whose statutes you have not walked. Yea, you have not done My judgments. Yea, as the judgments of the nations who are around you, you have done.
Eze 11:13 And it happened when I prophesied, Pelatiah, the son of Benaiah, died. Then I fell on my face and cried with a loud voice and said, Ah, Lord YHWH! Will you make a full end of the remnant of Israel?
Eze 11:14 And the Word of YHWH came to me, saying,
Eze 11:15 Son of man, your brothers, your brothers, the men of your kindred, and all the house of Israel, all of them who have said to those living in Jerusalem, Go far away from YHWH, this land is given to us for a possession.
Here we see “Jews” who rebel against YHWH telling Ezekiel, a faithful believer, to leave the land because it belongs to them. This is what we see today. The Zionist movement was brought about by anti-Torah men who want the land of Israel and do not want to let true believers live therein.
Eze 11:16 Therefore, say, So says the Lord YHWH: Though I have sent them far off among the nations, and though I scattered them among the lands, yet I was to them as a little sanctuary in the countries there where they had gone.
Eze 11:17 So the Lord YHWH says this: I shall gather you from the peoples, and assemble you out of the lands, in those where you were scattered, and I shall give to you the land of Israel.
YHWH is the one who regathers Israel. Until that time He is our dwelling place.
Eze 11:18 And they will come there, and they will remove all its hateful things and all its abominations from it.
Eze 11:19 And I shall give to them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you. And I will remove the stony heart out of their flesh, and I will give them a heart of flesh,
Eze 11:20 so that they may walk in My statutes and keep My judgments, and do them. And they shall be to Me for a people, and I will be to them for God.
Eze 11:21 And as to those whose heart is going after their hateful things, and also their heart is after their disgusting idols, I will give their way on their heads, declares the Lord YHWH.
Eze 11:22 Then the cherubs lifted up their wings, and the wheels were beside them. And the glory of the God of Israel was over them from above.
Eze 11:23 And the glory of YHWH went up from the midst of the city and stood on the mountain which is on the east of the city.
Eze 11:24 And the Spirit lifted me up and brought me into Chaldea, to the exiles, in a vision by the Spirit of God. And the vision that I had seen went up from me.
Eze 11:25 And I spoke to the exiles all the things which YHWH had made me see.
The promise of the Land is conditional
The promise of dwelling in the Land is based upon the obedience of the people. The Holy Scriptures are clear that returning to the land is based upon repentance and obedience, not political rhetoric. It will be shown conclusively that the leaders of Zionism where not repentant as Daniel, Ezra & Nehemiah but were antichrist, anti-Torah men who’s desire for the land comes not because they wish to worship and serve YHWH God but the adversary (Isaiah 14:12-14)
Jos 23:15 And it shall be, as every good thing which YHWH your God has spoken to you comes to you, so shall YHWH bring on you every evil thing, until He destroys you from off this good land which YHWH your God has given to you,
Jos 23:16 when you transgress the covenant of YHWH your God which He commanded you, and when you have gone and served other gods, and have bowed yourselves to them, then the anger of YHWH shall glow against you; and you shall perish quickly from off the good land which He has given to you.
Lev 26:14 And if you will not listen to Me, and do not do all these commands;
Lev 26:15 and if you reject My statutes, and if your soul hates My judgments, so as not to do all My commands, to the breaking of My covenant;
Lev 26:16 I will also do this to you, and I shall appoint terror over you, the wasting, and the burning fever, destroying the eyes, and consuming the soul; and you shall sow your seed in vain, and your enemies will eat it……
Lev 26:31 And I shall make your cities a waste, and shall make your sanctuaries desolate; and I shall not smell your sweet fragrances.
Lev 26:32 And I shall make the land desolate, and your enemies who are living in it shall be astonished at it.
Lev 26:33 And I will scatter you among nations, and shall draw out the sword after you, and your land shall become a waste, and your cities shall be a desolation.
Lev 26:34 Then the land shall enjoy its sabbaths, all the days of the desolation. And you shall be in the land of your enemies; then the land shall enjoy rest, and shall enjoy its sabbaths.
Lev 26:35 It shall rest all the days of the desolation, that which it has not rested in your sabbaths while you lived on it.
Lev 26:36 And those who are left of you, I shall also bring a faintness into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; and the sound of a driven leaf shall chase them; and they shall flee, as one flees from the sword; and they shall fall when no one pursues.
Lev 26:37 And they shall stumble upon one another, as if it were before the sword, when no one pursues. And you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.
Lev 26:38 And you shall perish among the nations, and the land of your enemies shall devour you.
Lev 26:39 And of those who are left of you, they shall putrefy in their iniquity, in the lands of your enemies; and also in the iniquities of their fathers, they shall putrefy with them.
Lev 26:40 And if they shall confess their iniquity, and the iniquity of their fathers, in their trespass with which they have trespassed against Me; and, also, that they have walked contrary to Me,
Lev 26:41 that I also have walked contrary to them, and I have brought them into the land of their enemies; if their uncircumcised hearts are then humbled, and they then have accepted punishment for their iniquity;
Lev 26:42 then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and also My covenant with Isaac, and I shall also remember My covenant with Abraham, and I shall remember the land.
It is not until we repent that we YHWH remembers the Land. The full repentance of Israel will occur in the tribulation period according to Revelation 7.
Lev 26:43 For the land shall be forsaken by them, and shall satisfy for its sabbaths, in the desolation without them. And they shall satisfy for their iniquity, because, even because, they have kicked against My judgments, and their soul has loathed My statutes.
Lev 26:44 And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I hate them, to consume them, to break My covenant with them; for I am YHWH their God.
Lev 26:45 Then I shall remember for them the covenant of the first fathers, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God; I am YHWH.
Lev 26:46 These are the statutes and the judgments and the laws which YHWH has given between Him and the sons of Israel, in Mount Sinai, by the hand of Moses.
OBEDIENCE IS A REQUISITE TO DWELLING IN THE LAND
Deu 30:1 And it shall come to pass, when all these things are come upon thee, the blessing and the curse, which I have set before thee, and thou shalt call them to mind among all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath driven thee,
Deu 30:2 And shalt return unto the LORD thy God, and shalt obey his voice according to all that I command thee this day, thou and thy children, with all thine heart, and with all thy soul;
Deu 30:3 That then the LORD thy God will turn thy captivity, and have compassion upon thee, and will return and gather thee from all the nations, whither the LORD thy God hath scattered thee.
Deu 30:8 And thou shalt return and obey the voice of the LORD, and do all his commandments which I command thee this day.
Deu 30:17 But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shalt be drawn away, and worship other gods, and serve them;
Deu 30:18 I denounce unto you this day, that ye shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whither thou passest over Jordan to go to possess it.
Deu 30:20 That thou mayest love the LORD thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him: for he is thy life, and the length of thy days: that thou mayest dwell in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them.
UNBELIEF=NOT DWELLING IN THE LAND
The 10 spies brought back an evil report causing the congregation to lose faith. Because of that lack of faith they did not go into the Land.
Num 13:25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.
Num 13:26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.
Num 13:27 And they told him, and said, We came unto the land whither thou sentest us, and surely it floweth with milk and honey; and this is the fruit of it.
Num 13:28 Nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land, and the cities are walled, and very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.
Num 13:29 The Amalekites dwell in the land of the south: and the Hittites, and the Jebusites, and the Amorites, dwell in the mountains: and the Canaanites dwell by the sea, and by the coast of Jordan.
Num 13:30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Num 13:31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.
Num 13:32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.
Num 13:33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.
Num 14:1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice and cried; and the people wept during that night.
Num 14:2 And all the sons of Israel murmured against Moses, and against Aaron. And all the congregation said to them, Oh that we had died in the land of Egypt, or in this wilderness, oh that we had died!
Num 14:3 And why is YHWH bringing us into this land to fall by the sword? Our wives and our infants have become a prey. Is it not good for us to return to Egypt?
Num 14:4 And they said each to his brother, Let us give a leader and return to Egypt.
Num 14:22 for all the men who are seeing My glory, and My miracles which I have done in Egypt and in the wilderness, and have tried Me these ten times, and have not listened to My voice,
Num 14:23 they shall not see the land which I have sworn to their fathers. Yea, not one of those scorning Me shall see it.
Num 14:24 And My servant Caleb, because there is another spirit in him, and he is fully following Me, I shall bring him into the land into which he has gone, and his seed shall possess it.
Those who walk in faith will inherit the Land. But they must patiently wait for the appointed time, just as Caleb and Joshua did.
Num 14:25 And the Amalekite and the Canaanite were living in the valley. Tomorrow turn and pull up stakes for yourselves; going into the wilderness, the way of the Sea of Reeds.
Num 14:26 And YHWH spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying,
Num 14:27 Until when shall I bear with this evil company who are murmuring against Me? I have heard the murmurings of the sons of Israel which they are murmuring against Me.
Num 14:28 Say to them, As I live, says YHWH, as surely as you have spoken in My ears, so I will do to you.
Num 14:29 Your dead bodies shall fall in this wilderness, even all your numbered sons, as to your whole number, from twenty years old and upward, in that you have murmured against Me.
Num 14:30 You shall certainly not come into the land which I lifted up My hand to cause you to live in it, except Caleb the son of Jephunneh and Joshua the son of Nun.
Num 14:31 As for your infants, of whom you have said, They shall be a prey, I shall bring them in, and they shall know the land which you have rejected.
Num 14:32 As for you, your carcases shall fall in this wilderness.
Num 14:33 And your sons shall be shepherds in the wilderness forty years, and shall bear your fornications until your carcases are wasted in the wilderness;
Num 14:34 by the number of the days in which you spied out the land, forty days, a day for a year, a day for a year; you shall bear your iniquities forty years; you shall know My alienation from you.
Num 14:35 I am YHWH; I have spoken. I shall do this to all this evil company who are gathered together against Me. They shall be brought to an end in this wilderness, and there they shall die.
Num 14:36 And the men whom Moses had sent to spy out the land, and who, when they returned, made all the congregation to murmur against him, by bringing up an evil report against the land,
Num 14:37 even those men bringing up an evil report of the land died by the plague before YHWH.
Num 14:38 But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, remained alive of those men that went to spy out the land.
Num 14:39 And Moses told these words to all the sons of Israel; and the people mourned deeply.
Israel then decided to go into the Land by their own power and failed. The state of Israel is doomed to fail. There will be no peace there without the Prince of Peace ruling.
Num 14:40 And they rose up early in the morning and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, Behold, we are here, and we will go up to the place which YHWH has said, for we have sinned.
Num 14:41 And Moses said, Why do you now transgress the mouth of YHWH, since it will not prosper?
Num 14:42 Do not go up, for YHWH is not in your midst, and you will be defeated by your enemies.
Num 14:43 For the Amalekite and the Canaanite are there before you; and you shall fall by the sword because you have turned back from following YHWH; and YHWH is not with you.
Num 14:44 And they presumed to go up to the top of the mountain, but the ark of the covenant of YHWH and Moses did not leave the middle of the camp.
Num 14:45 And the Amalekite and the Canaanite living in that mountain came down and struck them, and beat them down, to Hormah.
Heb 4:1 Therefore, let us fear lest perhaps a promise having been left to enter into His rest, that any of you may seem to come short.
Heb 4:2 For, indeed, we have had the gospel preached to us, even as they also; but the Word did not profit those hearing it, not having been mixed with faith in the ones who heard.
Heb 4:3 For we, the ones believing, enter into the rest, even as He said, “As I swore in My wrath, they shall not enter into My rest,” though the works had come into being from the foundation of the world. LXX-Psa. 94:11; MT-Psa. 95:11
Heb 4:4 For He has spoken somewhere about the seventh day this way, “And God rested from all His works in the seventh day.” Gen. 2:2
Heb 4:5 And in this again, “They shall not enter into My rest.” MT-Psalm 95:11
Heb 4:6 Therefore, since it remains for some to enter into it, and those who formerly had the gospel preached did not enter in on account of disobedience,
Heb 4:7 He again marks out a certain day, saying in David, Today (after so long a time, according as He has said), “Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts.” MT-Psalm 95:7, 8
It is the Right Hand of YHWH that brings us into the Land
Psa 44:1 To the chief musician. A Contemplation for the Sons of Korah. We have heard with our ears, O God; our fathers have told us the work You did in their days, in the days of old.
Psa 44:2 You drove out nations with Your hand and planted them. You brought evil on peoples and sent them out.
Psa 44:3 For they did not inherit the land with their own sword; yea, their own arm did not save them. But it was Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your face, because You favored them.
Jesus is the Right Hand of YHWH and the Light of His Face. Not Theodore Herzl or the U.N. Nations or Arthur James Balfour or Mayer Amschel Rothschild.
Messiah Jesus said that the kingdom has been taken away from Jews that don’t believe in Him.
Luk 19:11 But as they were hearing these things, He spoke, adding a parable, because He was near to Jerusalem, and they thought that the kingdom of God was immediately to be revealed.
Luk 19:12 Then He said: A certain wellborn man went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and to return.
Luk 19:13 And calling ten of his slaves, he gave to them ten minas and said to them, Trade until I come.
Luk 19:14 But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, We do not desire this one to reign over us.
Luk 19:15 And it happened as he returned, having received the kingdom, he even said for those slaves to be called to him, those to whom he gave the silver, that he might know what each had gained by trading.
Luk 19:16 And the first came, saying, Lord, your mina has gained ten minas.
Luk 19:17 And he said to him, Well done, good slave! Because you were faithful in a least thing, have authority over ten cities.
Luk 19:18 And the second came, saying, Lord, your mina has made five minas.
Luk 19:19 And he said to this one also, And you be over five cities.
Luk 19:20 And another came, saying, Lord, behold your mina which I have stored up in a face-cloth.
Luk 19:21 For I feared you, because you are an exacting man, taking what you did not lay down, and reaping what you did not sow.
Luk 19:22 But he said to him, I will judge you out of your own mouth, wicked slave. You knew that I am an exacting man, taking what I did not lay down, and reaping what I did not sow.
Luk 19:23 And why did you not give my silver on the bank table? And coming, I might have exacted it with interest.
Luk 19:24 And to those standing by, he said, Take the mina from him, and give it to him who has ten minas.
Luk 19:25 And they said to him, Lord, he has ten minas.
Luk 19:26 For I say to you, To everyone who has, it will be given. And from the one who does not have, even what he has will be taken from him.
Luk 19:27 But these hostile to me, those not desiring me to reign over them, bring them here and execute them before me.
Luke 19:27 is the message that believers in Messiah need to be speaking to Jews. Not telling them that they are the chosen people and giving them a false sense of salvation. NOBODY is saved through genealogy. NOBODY goes to the Father without the Son (John 14:6; 2 John 1:9). This is the testimony of the Holy Scriptures.
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Joh 15:23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also.
1Jn 2:22 Who is the liar, except the one denying, saying that Jesus is not the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one denying the Father and the Son.
1Jn 2:23 Everyone denying the Son does not have the Father. The one confessing the Son also has the Father.
Those who deny the Son do not have the Father. This is the testimony of Scripture. It does not matter how many hours a day they study the Torah and the Talmud. It doesn’t matter how many good works they do. Knowing about the Father does not equate with knowing the Father.
2Jn 1:9 Everyone transgressing and not abiding in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. The one abiding in the doctrine of Christ, this one has the Father and the Son.
2Jn 1:10 If anyone comes to you and does not bear this doctrine, do not receive him into the house, and do not speak a greeting to him.
2Jn 1:11 For the one speaking a greeting shares in his evil works.
The unbelieving Jews of Jesus’ day sought to cast Him away.
Psa 2:1 Why have the nations raged and the peoples are meditating on vanity?
Psa 2:2 The kings of the earth set themselves; yea, the rulers have plotted together against YHWH and His Anointed, saying,
Psa 2:3 We will break their bands in two, and throw off their cords from us.
The Scriptures define these kings and rulers as those that crucified the Lord Jesus
Act 4:25 who through the mouth of Your servant David said, “Why did the nations rage, and the peoples meditate foolish things?
Act 4:26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were assembled on the same day against the Lord, yea, against His Christ.” Psa. 2:1, 2
Act 4:27 For truly both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the nations and the peoples of Israel, were assembled against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed,
Act 4:28 to do whatever Your hand and Your counsel before-determined to be done.
Psa 2:4 He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; the Lord shall mock at them.
Psa 2:5 Then He will speak to them in His anger, and He will terrify them in His wrath;
Psa 2:6 Yea, I have set My king on My holy mount on Zion.
For those who understand about the conspiracy behind the scenes to set up the antichrist as king over the earth, Psalm 2 is the Scriptural support for this understanding. YHWH our God laughs at their attempts of ‘defeating’ Him and enthroning Lucifer as king. Jesus will sit as King over the whole earth. It matters not what people call themselves, whether Jews, Israelites, Buddhists, Muslims or Hare Krishna, they will suffer the same fate if they do not bow down and kiss the Son. They will be broken and perish.
Psa 2:7 I will declare concerning the statute of YHWH: He said to Me, You are My Son. Today I have begotten You.
Psa 2:8 Ask of Me, and I will give the nations as Your inheritance; and the uttermost parts of the earth as Your possession.
Psa 2:9 You shall break them with a rod of iron; You shall dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
Psa 2:10 Now, then, be wise, O kings; be taught, O judges of the earth:
Psa 2:11 Serve YHWH with fear; yea, rejoice with trembling.
Psa 2:12 Kiss the Son, lest He be angry, and you perish from the way, when His wrath is kindled but a little. Oh the blessings of all those who flee to Him for refuge!
Zechariah 11 speaks of the people of Israel (specifically followers of 3 shepherds ie. Pharisees, Sadducees, Essenes) hating Jesus and He hating them, this is also the chapter which speaks of the false shepherd known as antichrist who the 3 shepherds will follow because they have rejected the True Shepherd.
Zec 11:8 I also cut off three shepherds in one month. And My soul loathed them, and their soul also detested Me.
Zec 11:9 Then I said, I will not feed you; that which dies, let it die; and that which is to be cut off, let it be cut off. And let the ones remaining, each woman, eat the flesh of her neighbor. {This prophecy was fulfilled when Jerusalem was sieged by Titus of Rome}
Zec 11:10 And I took My staff Kindness and broke it apart, to break My covenant which I had cut with all the peoples.

Messiah’s chosen are His believers
Joh 15:16 You have not chosen Me, but I chose you out and planted you, that you should go and should bear fruit, and your fruit remain, that whatever you should ask the Father in My name, He may give you.

Messiah said that those who hate Him, hate the Father as well.

Not stirring up the regathering before it’s time
This prophecy of Jeremiah was literally fulfilled during the exile in Babylon but applies perfectly to the Zionist situation in our days.
Jer 29:4 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all who are carried away captives, from Jerusalem to Babylon:
Jer 29:5 Build houses and live in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them;
Jer 29:6 Take wives and beget sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons and give your daughters to husbands that they may bear sons and daughters; and multiply there, and not decrease.
Jer 29:7 And seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captives, and pray to the LORD for it; for in the peace thereof shall you have peace.
Jer 29:8 For thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Do not let your prophets and your diviners who are among you deceive you, neither listen to your dreams which you dream.
Jer 29:9 For they prophesy falsely to you in my name; I have not sent them, says the LORD.
YHWH brings back Israel at the set time. At the Babylonian captivity it was 70 years. The end of this exile will be brought about when Messiah gathers Israel from the 4 corners of the earth.
Jer 29:10 For thus says the LORD: After seventy years are completed at Babylon I will deliver you and perform my good word toward you in bringing you back to this country.
Jer 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a good hope at the end.
First Israel must repent and seek YHWH, then the captivity will end.
Jer 29:12 Then you shall call upon me and pray to me.
Jer 29:13 And when you shall seek me with all your heart, you shall find me, says the LORD.
Jer 29:14 And I will bring back your exiles, and I will gather you from all the nations and from all the lands where I have driven you, says the LORD, and I will bring you back to the place from which I caused you to be carried away captive.
False prophets arose in the days of Jeremiah claiming to speak on behalf of the Most High. So too today, those who don’t believe in Messiah claim to speak for the Father and represent Him.
Jer 29:15 Because you have said, The LORD has raised us up prophets in Babylon;
Jer 29:16 Therefore, thus says the LORD concerning the king who sits on the throne of David and concerning all the people who dwell in this city and your brethren who did not go out with you into captivity;
Jer 29:17 Thus says the LORD of hosts: Behold, I will send upon them the sword, famine, and pestilence, and I will make them like bad figs which are so bad that they cannot be eaten.
Jer 29:18 And I will pursue them with the sword, with famine, and with pestilence, and I will make them a horror to all the kingdoms of the earth, to be an astonishment, a curse, a reproach, and a hissing among all the nations where I have driven them,
Jer 29:19 Because they did not hearken to my words, and I sent to them all my servants the prophets, warning them in advance, but they did not listen to them, says the LORD.

Jer 29:23 Because they have done wickedness in Israel and have committed adultery with their neighbors’ wives and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know and I am a witness, says the LORD.
Shemaiah angers YHWH because he speaks revolt against the Holy One telling the people that Jeremiah is wrong…Jeremiah told the people to stay in the captivity until YHWH brings them to repentance and the set time has come.
Jer 29:24 And to Shemaiah the Nehelamite, you shall say,
Jer 29:25 Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel: Because you have sent a letter in his name to all the people who are in Jerusalem and to Zephaniah the son of Maasiah the priest and to all the priests, saying,
Jer 29:26 The LORD has made you priest instead of Jehoiadah the priest, to be an officer in the house of the LORD over every man who acts foolishly and prophesies falsehood, to put him in prison and in the stocks.
Jer 29:27 Now, therefore, why have you not rebuked Jeremiah of Anathoth, who prophesies to you?
Jer 29:28 For he has sent to us in Babylon, saying, You shall remain there for a long time; therefore, build houses and dwell in them; and plant gardens and eat the fruit of them.
Jer 29:29 And Zephaniah the priest read this letter in the ears of Jeremiah the prophet.

3 Strong Oaths

This is the anti-Zionist Orthodox Jewish perspective on the movement of Zionism.

The true Jewish position on Zionism and the state called Israel is found in the Scriptures in the Talmud and in the oral traditions transmitted to us by our parents and teachers.
At the outset of the Jews’ exile to Babylonia, the Prophet Jeremiah, in chapter 29 of his book proclaimed G-d’s message to all the exiled…Verse seven reads, “Seek out the welfare of the city to which I have exiled you and pray for it to the Almighty, for through its welfare will you have welfare.” This has been a cornerstone of Jewish “foreign policy” how to behave in the lands of the nations throughout our ensuing exiles till this very day.
There Jeremiah adds in the name of G-d (verses 8 and 9), “Do not let your false prophets among you and your sorcerers seduce you, do not head your dreamers which you cause them to dream. For they speak falsely to you in My name. I did not send them.” This too has applied to all the would-be misleaders of Jewry whether they presented themselves as prophets or as sorcerers or as dreamers of national aspirations.
King Solomon in Song of Songs thrice adjured the “daughters of Jerusalem” not to arouse or bestir the love until it is ready.” The Talmud explains That we have been foresworn, by three strong oaths, not to ascend to the Holy Land as a group using force, not to rebel against the governments of countries in which we live, and not by our sins, to prolong the coming of moshiach; as is written in Tractate Kesubos 111a .
Throughout the seventy years of the Babylonian exile, throughout the 200 years of the Hellenic exile and throughout the 1917 since the destruction of G-d’s Holy House, we have steadfastly maintained our loyalty to G-d and have not transgressed His oaths. And we have prayed for the welfare of the cities and the countries of our host nations that did not oppress us, and in their welfare we indeed always found ours.
Whoever violates Jeremiah’s principles or Solomon’s oaths immediately imperils the welfare of Jews locally and elsewhere in the world.
Ketuboth 111a
They shall be carried to Babylon, and there shall they be, until the day that I remember
them, saith the Lord.(1) And R. Zera?(2) — That text(1) refers(3) to the vessels of

Rab Judah said: Whoever lives in Babylon is accounted as though he lived in the Land of
Israel; for it is said in Scripture,Ho, Zion, escape, thou that dwellest with the daughter of

that ye stir not up, nor awaken the love, until it
shall please.
King Messiah will say : I adjure you, O my
people of the House of Israel, why do ye war

rise, the Mount of Olives shall be rent asunder,
and all Israel’s dead will issue from beneath it ;
and even those righteous ones who have died in
exile, will come from under the earth by way of
caverns and issue forth from beneath the Mountain
of Olives. As regards the wicked who shall have
died and been buried in the land of Israel, these
shall be cast up as a man throws up a stone with
a club. Then shall all the inhabitants of the earth
say, and enquire : What was the merit of this
people, myriads upon myriads of whom have come
up out of the earth, as on the day when they came
up out of the wilderness unto the land of Israel,
and who delight themselves with the love of their
Lord, as on the day when they were seen at the
foot of Mount Sinai to receive the Law? At that
hour Zion the mother of Israel shall bear her
children, and Jerusalem shall receive her captive
sons.
More ancient Rabbinic teachings on the exile and the regathering
Rabbi Zera remained out of sight of Rabbi
Yehuda because Rabbi Zera desired to emigrate
from Babylonia to the Holy Land, and because
Rabbi Yehuda had warned: “Anyone who
emigrates from Babylonia to the Holy Land
transgresses a positive commandment, as it is
written (Book of Jeremiah 27:22): ‘To Babylonia
they should be brought and there they should
stay, until the day that I will remember them,
these are the words of G-d’.
And Rabbi Zera
interprets that scriptural source to refer to the
service vessels [of the First Holy Temple], and
not to human beings. Rabbi Yehuda stated: “In
another scriptural verse (Song of Songs 2:7) we
find: ‘I adjured you, O daughters of Jerusalem,
that if you violate your oath, you shall become
as vulnerable as the gazelle or deer of the
field, [if you dare to provoke and awaken G-d’s
desire for the redemption before He initiates
it]’”. And Rabbi Zera interpreted that verse to
mean that Jews must not immigrate en masse to
the Holy Land. Rabbi Yehuda replied: “There
is another oath contained in the scriptural
verses” (Song of Songs 3:5, 8:4). Rabbi Zera stated: “another scriptural source is needed for
what Rabbi Yossi, the son of Rabbi Chanina,
who states: ‘Why are these three oaths written?
The first oath is that the Jewish People must
not emigrate en masse to the Holy Land; the
second oath is that the Holy One, Blessed be
He, forbade us from rebelling against the
nations of the world; and the third oath is
that the Holy One, Blessed be He, forbade the
nations of the world from unduly oppressing
the Jewish People’. Rabbi Yehuda replied:
“[in the above verses of the oaths] it is written
‘[I adjure you…] Do not dare “to provoke and
to awake”’ [so there are two oaths contained
in each verse, for a total of six]. Rabbi Zera
interprets this concerning Rabbi Levy says:
“Why are there these six oaths? Three represent
the ones stated above. The other three are: 1)
that the Jewish People must not reveal the end
time [of exile]; 2) that they must not force the
arrival of the End [of exile]; and 3) that they
must not reveal the secret meanings of the
Torah to idolators.
Any Jewish sovereignty during the
time of the Exile delays the arrival of
the Messiah
Rabbi Chama Bar Chanina said: The son
of David (Messiah) will not come until even
the most insignificant form of government no
longer exists among the Jewish People. Rashi
explains this as follows: “That there absolutely
no sovereign governmental body of the Jewish
People shall exist, even the most minor or
trivial type of regime”. (Talmud Sanhedrin
98a).
This teaches us that any kind of regime or
government controlled by Jews in the time of
exile impedes the arrival of the Messiah.
It is also explained in the Holy Zohar (part
III p. 221a) that the building of the future
Temple will be only through G d Himself:
“And up to now the first building of the Holy
One, Blessed be He did not exist in the world.
In a future time it is written: “The Builder of
Jerusalem is G d,” He and no one else. This
is the building that we are awaiting, not the
building of a human being, which has no
permanence at all… because even the city
of Jerusalem will not be built by a human
being… all the more so the house that is His
residence.
If so the Holy Zohar explicitly states that
we must only wait and hope for the Holy One,
Blessed be He, who will reveal Himself to us,
will build the Holy Temple, and then redeem
our exiles, to fulfill what is written:
The future Redemption will not be
through any human intermediary as
was the case in past redemptions. Only
G-d Himself will redeem us with an
everlasting redemption
Note that in whatever exile the Jews found
themselves, G-d designated a specific time
and its ultimate end. In all cases of exile, the
Jews returned in in repentance to the Holy
One, Blessed be He, (and He had mercy on
them though their penance), and then also the
‘maiden of Israel’ [a reference to the Jewish
Nation] returned by herself to her place, in that
time that was decreed on her. Now, however,
in this last exile, circumstances are different,
because she will not return by herself, like in the
time of the other exiles. This verse proves and
teaches that, as it is written (Amos 5:2): “She
fell and will not rise again, maiden of Israel
(this means that she will not rise by herself,
because) it is not written ‘she fell, I will not
raise her again’, (that then would mean that,
G-d forbid, she shall not rise whatsoever), [but
it is written that “she fell and will not rise by
herself”, meaning, only through G-d himself.]
This is analogous to a king who was
angry with his queen, and he expelled her
and banished her from his chamber for a
specific time. When the specified time finally
arrived, the queen immediately came back to
the king. It happened the same way once, and
then another time, and yet a third time. The
third and final time, the queen stayed away
from the chamber of the king, and he expelled
and banished her for a far longer time. The
king said that this time is not like the other
times where she returned to me on her own,
rather I will go with all the people who are in
my chamber, and I will seek her [and bring her
back].
When the king came to the queen, he found
her lying on the ground.
How great is the honor of the queen this
time, and the petitions and the compliments
the king lavished upon her! Then the king took
her by the hand and raised her up, and took
her to his chamber. He swore that he would
never again separate himself from her or keep
away from her ever again.
(The moral of the story is that) this is the
case with the Holy One, Blessed be He while
the Jews were in their previous exiles. When
the end of the exile arrived, she came and
returned by herself before the king, Blessed be
He. But now in this exile it is not so. Instead,
the Holy One, Blessed be He, will grasp her
hands, raise her up, appease her, and return
her to His chamber.
Come and see that this is so, because it is
written (Amos 5:2): ‘[She has fallen, and] she
will not rise again’ (that means that she will
not rise again by herself). Concerning this is
said (ibid. 9:11): ‘in that day (of the redemption
of the Jews through the Messiah) I will raise
the falling booth of David’. She will no longer
stand by herself like in former times, but I
shall raise her up. Concerning this it is said:
‘On that day I shall raise the falling booth of
David.’ This means that I Myself shall raise it.
(The Holy Zohar explains) that the ‘booth of
David’ refers to the ‘maiden of Israel’. What is
the meaning of ‘ falling’? As it is stated [in the
above verse in Amos 5]: ‘She has fallen’. And
this is the honor of the ‘maiden of Israel’ and
her praise. [Zohar part 3 p. 6]”.
Redemption through human means
has no permanence, but in the future
we will be redeemed by G-d Himself,
and therefore it will be an everlasting
redemption
“G-d will save the Jewish People will in
an everlasting salvation” (Isaiah 45:7). In the
past exiles salvation was not an everlasting
redemption since it was by the hand of flesh
and blood. In the future, however, “The Jewish
People [will be] redeemed by G-d” – He Himself
will redeem them. And it will therefore be “an
everlasting salvation”. (Midrash Tanchuma
Torah Portion Acharei, chapter 12).
The Exile and the Redemption only
belongs to G d Himself, and He assured
us that He Himself shall redeem us at
the time he deems appropriate
“And G-d said to Abraham: ‘You should
know that your descendants will be foreigners
[in a land not their own]’” (Genesis 15:12)’.
Know that I will disperse them; know that
I will ingather them. Know that I will make
them serve as collateral, and know that I will
release them. Know that I will enslave them
and know that I will redeem them. (Midrash
Raba, Genesis 42:18)”.
The great virtue of The Jewish
People when they wait patiently for the
Redemption
Rabbi Osheia teaches: The Holy One,
blessed be He, said to the Jewish People, “Wait
for Me! (This is interpreted to mean, that even
though the exile period will last a long time, do
not try to end it prematurely. – just wait for Me,
and I shall make you as the hosts of heaven!”
Rabbi Yudan teaches in the name of Rabbi
Meir: The Holy One, blessed be He, said to the
Jewish People, “If you keep My oaths, I shall
make you as the hosts of heaven, but if not,
I shall make you like the hosts of the lowliest
world”. (Midrash Rabba, Song of Songs, Torah
Portion 3).
If the Redemption of The Jewish
People takes place at its prescribed
time it will be very good, but if takes
place prematurely, this will be a great
evil and cannot succeed at all.
The greatness of the Jewish People is
compared to four things: a) the grain harvest;
b) the grape harvest; c) spices, and d) a birth.
The redemption is compared to harvest –
just like a field, if harvested before its season,
it does not even yield cattle fodder. But when
it is harvested in its season, its yield is good. As
the verse states (Joel 4:13): “Extend the sickle,
because the harvest is ripe.”
The Redemption is compared to the reaping
of grapes: just as a vinyard, if reaped before its
time, will not yield even good vinegar. But when
it is reaped in its season, its yield is good. As
the verse states (Isaiah 27:2): “On that day [at
the time of the Divine salvation – Rashi], the
nations will sing praise to the Jewish People;
‘You are a vineyard yielding excellent wine!’”
The Redemption is compared to spices:
just as spices, if plucked when still soft, will
not produce a fragrance, but if plucked when
they are dried, they will release their full
fragrance.
The Redemption is compared to a birth:
if a woman gives birth before term, the baby
will not survive, but if she gives birth at the
right time, her child will survive. As the verse
states (Michah 5:2): “Therefore He will give
them over, until the time arrives when she is to
give birth”. Rashi explains this verse to mean
that G d will hand over the Jewish People to
their enemies until it is time for Zion to “give
birth” to her sons [i.e., the final Redemption].
(Midrash Rabba, Song of Songs, Torah Portion
8).
On this passage, the commentary, Matnas
Kehunah, explains: The common denominator
among these four comparisons is that if the
Jewish People try to hasten their ultimate
redemption, they will not succeed. But in its
proper time, the Redemption will be successful,
and their redemption will be successful in the
name of the Everlasting G-d.
A parable from the Midrash
concerning the above point
“Arise and shine, for Your light has arrived!”
(Isaiah 60:1). Rabbi Yochanan explains this as
follows: This can be compared to a man who
was on a journey. Twilight came and someone
gave him a candle and lit it for him, But the
candle blew out. Another person came and lit
the candle again for him, but it too blew out.
The man exclaimed: “From now on, I am only
going to wait for the light of dawn!” Thus did
The Jewish People declare before G-d: “We
made a Menorah for You in the days of Moshe,
and it was extinguished. We did so again in the
days of Solomon, but that too was extinguished.
From now on, we are only going to wait only
for Your light!” as the verse says (Psalms 36:10),
“For the source of life is with You – we shall see
light through Your light”. (Midrash Yalkut,
Isaiah #499).
The ingathering of the exiles is only
permitted for Messiah to do, and we
are under oath not to attempt this on
our own.
Rabbi Chelbo teaches: We are speaking of
four oaths of the Jewish People: a) that they are
not to rebel against the nations; b) that they
are not to try to hasten the Redemption; c) that
they are not to reveal their Torah secrets to the
nations of the world; and d) that they are not
to emigrate en masse to the Holy Land from
exile. If so, what is the Messiah to do? He shall
gather the Jewish People from exile. (Midrash
Rabba, Song of Songs 2).
This teaches us that it is only the Messiah
who will gather in and bring the Jewish People
from exile. (Perush Maharza”v on Midrash
Raba).
The harsh enslavement of the Jews
in Egypt did not start until the Children
of the Tribe of Ephraim left Egyptian
exile prematurely.
Rabbi Eliezer says: “All the years that the
Jews lived in Egypt they resided with security,
confidence and rest, until Nun, who was a
descedant of Ephraim and father of Joshua,
came and said to them: ‘The Holy One Blessed
Be He revealed Himself to me to take you out
of Egypt’. The sons of Ephraim, with pride
in their hearts because of their descent from
royalty and heroism in war, took their women
and children and left Egypt. The Egyptians
pursued them and killed 200,000, all of whom
were strong men, as it is written (Psalms
78:9):
‘The sons of Ephraim, armed archers,
retreated on the day of battle. They did not
keep the covenant of G d and they refused to
follow His Torah’”. [Pirkei DeRabbi Eliezer
chapter 47].
It is explained in our sacred writings that
all the Jews suffered afterwards the great
and terrible enslavement with hard decrees
because they did not protest against the Sons
of Ephraim although they did not join them.

Before the Redemption the Jewish
People will repent from their sins
The Jewish People will be redeemed only
through repentance. The Torah assures us
that eventually, at the very end of the exile,
the Jewish People will repent, and then will
be redeemed immediately, as the verse states
(Deuteronomy 30:1-3), “And it shall come to
pass when all these things come upon you…
then you will return to G-d your Lord… and
G-d your Lord will bring back your captivity.
He will return and gather you from among all
the Nations”. (Rambam, Laws of Repentance,
Chapter 7).
Isaiah 26:1
Open the gates, so the righteous nation, keeper of the faith, may enter! (Rashi explains: those people who awaited in exile for many years that should be fulfilled Hashem’s promise thru our prophets to redeem them).
Isaiah 35:3
הStrengthen weak hands and give support to failing knees [Metzudois explains: it is a saying of Hashem to the prophets and means: announce the redemption to whom his hands weaken and is discouraged of the redemption]. Say to those of impatient heart, ‘Be strong; do not fear [Rashi explains: “For those of impatient heart, meaning that they hasten the redemption and suffer for its delay]. Behold, your God will come with revenge, with Divine retribution; He will come and save you. Then the eyes of the blind will be opened and the ears of the deaf will be unstopped.
Habakkuk 2:3
For there is yet another vision about the appointed time; it will speak of the End and it will not deceive [Metzudois Dovid explains: the vision will speak about the End of the future redemption that will not deceive, meaning that will not be after it any subjugation, and “will not deceive” is an expression to mean that will not finish, like (Isaiah 58:11) “its waters will deceive”]. Though it may tarry, await it, for it will surely come; it will not delay.
Isaiah 49:14
Zion said, ‘Hashem has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.’ Can a women forget her baby, or not feel compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget, but I would not forget you. Behold, I have engraved you upon My palms [Metzudois explains: You are remembered before me as if you were engraved upon my palms]; your walls are before Me always [Metzudois explains: to remember them to establish them]. Your children will hasten [Rashi explains: to return], and your ruiners and your destroyers will leave you [Mahari Karoh explains: these evildoers that lived among the righteous will leave when G-d will gather all of the dispersed Jews].
Isaiah 52:12
You will not leave in chaos, nor will you go in flight; for Hashem will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your Gatherer [meaning the one that gathers you from the exile].
Jeremiah 8:2
Is there no balm in Gilead? Is there no healer there? Why has the health of the daughter of my people not recovered? [Yirmiyah 8:22] On this scriptural verse explained the righteous genius Mahari”t according to what is written in the Targum Yonoson: “Is there no balm in Gilead?” the intention is about Eliyohu the prophet that comes from Gilead and according to this, this is the intention of the verse: “It is not in Gilead”, if the people don’t wait for Eliyohu that comes from Gilead, if there’s not a doctor there, if we don’t wait for the soul-doctor that is Eliyohu as it is written: “And will return the hearts of the fathers to their children”. And instead they take redemption before the time that the Holy One, Blessed be Him will send us Eliyohu, there’s no question why didn’t the remedy of our people didn’t work and therefore we were not saved, because this lengthens the exile and if not for this we would be saved already.
Daniel 11:14
In those times, many will rise up against the king of the South; and sons of the lawless men of your people [Metzudois explain: this means: the wicked among the Jews] will exalt themselves [Metzudois explain: they will rise themselves to establish a vision but they will stumble because they will die and will be lost because of this] to establish a vision, but they will stumble [Daniel 11:14].

Maimonides, Iggeres Teiman – Letter to Yemen
[Maimonides wrote this Letter to the Jewish Community of Yemen almost 1,000 years ago]
And as King Solomon knew with divine inspiration that the Jewish People would face the consequences of this and that suffering would come upon them, and warned the Jewish People not to do this (i.e. violate the Three Oaths), and in a metaphorical way made them swear not to commit these acts, as it is written in Song of Songs, 3,5: I made you swear Daughters of Jerusalem by the deer and gazelles of the field should you arouse or awaken love until it is so desired.
Therefore, you, dear brethren, must accept the Oath and do not attempt to arouse the love until the proper time when the Alm-ghty shall remember us and you with his trait of mercy to gather his portion from Exile to behold his glory at his holy Temple and redeem us from the Valley of the shadow of Death where he has placed us, thereby removing the darkness from our eyes and the fog from our hearts. He will then fulfill in our days and in yours the verse from Isaiah 9:1 The nation wandering in darkness shall see a great Light, and a Light shall shine on those residing in the land of the shadow of death. At that time G-d shall darken the eyes of all those who rise up against us, and fulfill the verse from Isaiah 60:2 Verily darkness shall cover the land and fog shall cover nations, but the light of G-d shall shine upon you, and you shall display his honor.
Rabbi Yitzchak Aramah
Rabbi Yitzchak Aramah was a great scholar in Spain prior to the expulsion. He was born there in 1420 and served as the chief rabbi of the city of Catalayud. He later passed aware in the Italian city of Naples in 1494 after the expulsion. He was renown for his works on Jewish philosophical matters, and one of his most famous works was called “Akeidas Yitzchak”, a commentary on the Torah.
In this book, in chapter 26, Rabbi Yitchak Aramah states that the Decree of Exile for the Jewish People is so serious that even if the Jewish People were to terminate the Exile from the Holy land ONE DAY before the willing of G-D, the entire People would be in great danger by virtue of having violated the prohibition of ending the Exile as discussed in the Talmudic Tractate Kesuboth 111.
Rabbi Nachman, the Breslover Rebbe
The following is from the book, Sichos Haran (Conversations with Rabbi Nachman) written by Rabbi Nathan of Nemerov (1780-1845), in which he quotes many statements he heard from the Breslover Rebbe, Rabbi Nachman (1772-1810). The following is from chapter 220, and hints at the test of living in the generation of Zionist heresy.
Once Rebbe Nachman said to someone: “I will now reveal a secret to you. There will be great disbelief in the world. The disbelief will come from Above as a test. Now I know that my people will truly strengthen themselves in faith and remain firm in their belief even without this. However, I reveal this to you now so that they will strengthen themselves even more, knowing that this has been foreseen and discussed.” Words like these were heard from his holy mouth several times. He would heave many sighs about this matter and would say: “Oh, how will a few people be able to stand up against the whole world?”
And since he already made known that this would be the Test, a person should most certainly be able to withstand it. Nevertheless, it will be such a great Test to the point where many will not be able to withstand it. Nevertheless, I am writing about it so that those who seek holy Truth and Faith know that our Rebbe of blessed memory informed us about it in advance, and so that they will be able to console themselves and strengthen themselves in G-d and his holy Torah in the manner we received from our Sages of blessed memory in the Talmud and Jewish legal codes.
The Maharal of Prague, Rabbi Betzalel Lowy

The Maharal of Prague (Rabbi Betzalel Lowy who lived in the 17th century) explained that the prohibition of violating the Three Oaths applies even if the other nations force the Jewish People to do so.
In addition, he wrote in his book Netzach Yisroel (Chapter 24) that these Oaths may not be modified so as to affect the decree of Exile, and he expanded on the description in the Midrashic text on Song of Songs 2:18.
“Even if the nations wanted to kill the Jews with terrible torture, the Jews are forbidden to change the applicability of the Oaths. This is relevant to every one of these oaths and must be understood.” Therefore, not only is it forbidden to leave the Exile even with the permission of the nations, but even if they force the Jewish People to do so under pain of death, it is forbidden to violate these Oaths in the same way it is required to give up one’s life rather than accept another religion
Rabbi Avraham Galanti
Rabbi Avraham Galanti, who other rabbis described as outstanding in his level of holiness, and who was a student of the great kabbalist Rabbi Moshe Cordovero in the 16th century, explained aspects of the Three Oaths in his book Zechus Avos [Merit of the Patriarchs] where he recounts how some Jews in Portugal wanted to revolt against the kingdom rather than submit to forced conversion. A rabbi quoted the verses from Song of Songs to the people who wanted to revolt, and pointed to the Talmudic tractate Ketuboth p. 111 which states that G-d made the Jewish People take three Oaths – one was that they should not rebel against G-d by rebelling against the nations. Thereafter the Jews submitted to death rather than forced conversion. Although the description in Ketuboth does not say that the Oaths involve directly rebelling against G-d, it is clear that the very violation of these Oaths is rebellion against G-d himself.

It is our duty to preserve ourselves from being captured and mingled with the unstable utterances of Herzl and Nordau and with their conspiracy, and I am astonished that the Mizrachi rabbis, venture to dispute the words of our teachers and, instead of doing their duty, by uniting with all those who have taken upon themselves, the task of weakening the traitorous Zionists, they uphold them and will finally pursue and revile all those opposed to this abominable movement as if in truth—Heaven forbid—the only hope remaining to Israel springs from the Zionists who reject our Holy Torah.

To those who share these Zionist views but profess to be believers, whose lips drip with Torah and piety, I have this to say: Do you not know that Zionism and self-rule are VANITY AND PURSUIT OF EMPTINESS AND IMITATION? Why do you despise the Torah and stretch out your hand to transgressors tainted with HERESY, and why do you not consider in whose company you go?
How long will the Zionists be permitted to lead into a trap? One need not fear contention and discord with them, since they have already brought it about. In the book, Gates of Repentance, paragraph 59, we find ‘HE WHO DOES NOT ENTER INTO CONFLICT WITH THOSE WHO STAND ON A BAD PATH IS PUNISHED FOR THEIR TRANSGRESSIONS AND FOR ALL THEIR SINS.
I have already written letters to those who ask whether there is any substance in the books of the Mizrachi rabbis Rabinovitz and Reines. I have replied that according to Jewish Law the two works of the above-mentioned rabbis are an abomination and desolation, according to the Torah.

“I have already received a number of letters on this subject from rabbis and communal workers seeking the good of Israel and I have replied to them. These wicked men offend the angels of God, distort the promises of the prophets and despise the warnings of our teachers not to hasten the end and to wait for the coming of the Righteous Redeemer.
They turn after their hearts and after their eyes. In vain do they profess to burn with the love of Israel and love of the Holy Land. They think that they can be wiser than their predecessors. The whole movement is in the hands of unstable and empty men and slaves delighting in lawlessness. They raise their head against all the Gedoilei Hadoir seeing that they have defied a weighty prohibition against this conduct.
There is a sacred duty incumbent upon us to keep our eyes open and to understand what can emerge from their denunciations and libels. Terror seized us on hearing the report that Dr. Herzl and his fellow conspirators had appeared before the German Emperor and his princes and had bowed before them in entreaty that they should influence the Sultan to sell the land of our foregathers to Jews and that, in this way, Jews should receive the favor and protection of the Germans.
They, the Zionists, pretend to be unaware of the grave calamities exceeding all the evils in the history of our exile in the Amalekite state in which the bitter poison of the hatred of Israel has forever prevailed and where the blood of our ancestors has been spilt in thousands and tens of thousands. Trespass and treachery are to be found in this boast that the mightiest, the noblest, the wisest and the most moral of all the peoples has consented to take the Zionist state beneath her wings and to protect her.
Whoever has been favoured with a little sense will understand that—Heaven forbid—in our days will be fulfilled the curse “and he who flees from the sound of fear will fall into the pit and he who rises from the midst of the pit will fall into the trap.” Do not the Zionists claim that they are forced to flee from the anti-Semites? There is a great danger that if the Germans obtain a foothold in the Zionists state, they will set the inhabitants of the country against its Jewish inhabitants. One cannot compare a people helpless and downcast with other people who are in apposition to make alliances with one another. According to what is reported, the German Emperor is not reckoned as an enemy of Israel, but the heart of a king is bound up with the heart of his people and whatever they desire will sway him. The conversation with Dr. Herzl with our Count Plehve was contemptible and abominable. According to what has been published, he told the count that if our Emperor—may his majesty be exalted—will stretch out a helping hand to the Zionists, his country will be freed from enemies, revolutionaries and rebels. In this way, Dr. Herzl has exceeded through his wickedness the efforts of all our enemies and persecutors and we should moan, lament and rend our garments that a sharp sword has been placed in the hands of our foes.
How can we arouse kindness and seek compassion among the nations if we are tainted with revolt? Yet all this is aimed at making Dr. Herzl king of Israel and his associates princes.
Heaven forbid that we should throw off the yoke of exile from upon our necks through violence, intrigue and entreaties. We must take it to heart and seek to realize the extend of the folly of these men who are wise in evil because it has not occurred to them that, if the land is conquered before the coming of the King of Peace, grievous wars will follow and one people will gore another.
Let them know that one soul in Israel is equal in worth to the earth and anyone who destroys one soul in Israel is as if he had destroyed the whole world.
I will therefore take my life in my hand and proclaim that until the promised Messiah comes and the Holy One, blessed be He, blows the great trumpet to proclaim our freedom, we have no right to rule in the Holy Land, and that the Zionist aspiration for governmental power is a rebellion against the peoples who dwell in it.

Similarly, should he see an evil man oppress his fellow man and mislead him, he is bound to exert all his efforts to deliver the victim from his trouble. How much more can this be applied to a matter relating to the whole people seeing that through the Zionists the Exile will be prolonged and many calamities—Heaven forbid—revived. There can be no harm greater than to arouse conflicts with the nations and to make Israel feared as a source of revolt on the plea that the sould of the whole people is bitter on account of the Exile.
In my humble opinion it is seemly to collect and assemble delegations of our brethren from every state in order to consult together as to what should be done. How long will the Zionists be permitted to lead us into a trap? One need not fear contention and discord because they have already brought it about. In Shaarei Teshuvoh, paragraph 59, we find: “He who does not enter into conflict with those who stand upon a path which is not good, is punished for their transgressions and for all their sins!”
I am therefore compelled to go forth from my enclosure and have written at some length although I have not gone into the details of Dinim but have dealt only with simple matters that are easy for every man to understand, because I see Knesses Yisroel in danger as if a sword were lying on our necks and I would repeat my warning that only G-d can give rest to His people and that no man has this in his power.

Once before the Neila prayer on Yom Kippur Rabbi Avraham Yoshe Freund of Nasod said:

Rabbi Chaim Soloveichik of Brisk
Rabbi Chaim Soloveichik of Brisk (1853-1918), the founder of the “yeshiva approach to Talmudic study,” was frequently quoted by his disciples as saying:
“The Zionists do not make Jews heretics in order to have a state, they want a state in order to make Jews into heretics!”
Or, as he once wrote:
“The Jewish people have suffered many (spiritual) plagues — the Sadducees, Karaites, Hellenisers, Shabbatai Zvi, Enlightenment, Reform and many others. But the strongest of them all is Zionism.”
This hideous strength was later explained by his son, the Brisker Rav, Rabbi Velvel Soloveichik (1886-1960) as being due to the Zionists having “attacked the center point of Judaism.
The following is a letter written by Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik, one of the greatest rabbis in Lithuania in the early part of the century:
Dear Rabbi Moshe Carpas:
I have also read your words in connection with the sect of the Zionists who are now powerfully banded together. I do not blush to admit that I do not know how to find paths to oppose them.
Seeing that these men are known as evil in their localities, and have already proclaimed their purpose, which is to uproot the fundamentals of our faith, and to take over all Jewish communities to aid them in their plan.
It is hardly credible that after the revelations of their arrogant hearts there should still be found right-minded men willing to ally themselves with them. It is greatly astonishing throughout the whole Jewish People that they should be given a place and a voice in public affairs, since it is known they are causing others to sin.
Let the people guard their souls lest they join them in the destruction of our religion and become an obstacle to the House of Israel.
Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik of Brisk said:
“If you intend to give a coin to the Jewish National Fund, give it to another idolatry, but not to the Zionists, since this idolatry is worse then any other.”
Rabbi Yisrael Meir Hakohen, the Chofetz Chaim
The Torah teaches us not to resist the nations even when they fight against us. We must follow in the footsteps of Yaakov Avinu in his encounter with his brother Esav. As the Ramban writes in Vayishlach, all that happened between Yaakov and Esav happens to us constantly with Esav’s children. We must adopt the methods of that tzaddik, to make the three preparations that he made: prayer, a gift, and escape through war, that is, to flee to safety. As long as we walked on that well- tread path, G-d saved us from their hands. But since we have strayed from the path and new leaders have arisen who chose new methods, leaving behind our ancestors’ weapons and adopting the methods of our enemies, we have fared worse and worse, and great travails have befallen us.
Rabbi Shaul Brach
The following was written by the eminent late Rabbi Shaul Brach, one of the great anti-Zionist rabbis in Hungary before World War II, in the introduction to a religious text called Avos Al Banim. His words, just like the words of Rabbi Teitelbaum ring clearer than ever today.
“Since the dawn of the Zionist movement, suffering has not ceased to exist in the world. All the warnings of the Torah have been fulfilled in their details among our People all over the world. For a believer it is no surprise that the Zionists are the same as the heretics at the time of the Destruction of the Temple. Thus, divine judgment has been unleashed on the entire world.
It is, however, surprising how they can continue in their ways unless they have rejected the entire Torah and the Prophets, inasmuch as they support Zionism, they must surely hope they are successful. But the Torah states, “..lest the Land vomit you out because of how you defiled it.”
It is amazing that the leaders of the Agudah movement want many Jews to live in the Holy Land. Don’t they fear for the lives of their children given the fact that there is nowhere else on earth where there is so much heresy and sectarianism as in the Holy Land today?
As far as our brethren in America who support the Zionist heresy in the Holy Land are concerned, if they don’t face up to the truth, in liberal AMERICA they will quickly feel the effects of the verse, “With anger poured out will I rule over you.” May G-d have mercy.”
Satmar Grand Rebbe Joel Teitelbaum
Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum of blessed memory was Grand Rabbi and spiritual leader of the Satmar Hasidic group (which in his lifetime became one of the biggest Hasidic groups in the world today). Rabbi Teitelbaum in his lifetime authored many scholarly works in all fields of Torah but aside from this and his vehement condemnation of the Zionist movement (both verbally and in writing) Rabbi Teitelbaum is best known in the Orthodox Jewish world for his scholarly work “Vayoel Moshe”, VYOEL-MOSHE

A lecture, or rather a WARNING, delivered at a large meeting of American Orthodox Rabbis in Brooklyn, NY in 1961 by Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum (1890-1979)
Rabbi Teitelbaum was in the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp during the holocaust. Read an account by Dr. Ferenze who was with Rabbi Teitelbaum in the death camp.
Due to our many sins we see today that there is fear of public opinion, and this is a tremendous test and a misfortune both spiritually and physically. We should open our eyes and should not pay attention to the forces of impurity of the Evil Inclination. There is no doubt that the death of the six million Jews was due to the concept of having a State! Apart from the punishment itself this was a certain fact, and can be verified in many books. I do not want to speak too much on issues related to politics, but every person knows this. I can remember that some fifty or sixty years ago our greatest rabbis of the generation said it would take a miracle for a catastrophe not to occur because of the Zionists, and the slander they said to the non-Jews. It has been verified that those types of slander led to the catastrophe, coming from as far back as the impure originator of Zionism himself (Theodor Herzl) who wrote slanderous things in his book that he called Der Judenstadt. It is unnecessary to retell a number of events that have been verified, and in Hungary in a court case it was also verified.
The Zionists and their actions are responsible for the fate of the Moroccan Jews, whose voices still cry out to us today. Many letters have been written about the fact that their lives could have been good in their country of origin, a merciful country; however the Zionists are always stirring up trouble and placing the Jews in terrible danger. The Torah says that we must not ignore the blood of our brother! And yet people are silent! Even in the United States the Zionists struggle to bring about anti-Semitism, just as they did in Europe. We need tremendous mercy from G-d to prevent them from succeeding, because with their slander and arrogance they could bring it about. If a person looks closely he can see this.
I said I do not want to go into political issues, and there is nothing to say about talk about. If there were not any heretical movements in the United States because they would have already assimilated, but Zionism is the source of ongoing heresy, it’s a factory of heresy, and this is a fact that no one can deny, for tens and hundreds of thousands of people, who the Zionists worked tirelessly to bring into utter heresy. Everyone knows this, and yet it is tolerated, accepted, and it is raised up in the air! Due to our many sins the leaders should be shouting out against the abomination against G-d, against this true form of heresy! Instead they support it and raise it high! They give it power and strength!
The danger for the Jewish People is because those who are irreligious and who are heretics are the leaders of the Jewish People. Therefore because of them the nations of the world are misled into hating Jews, so one of the greatest things to do would be to selflessly proclaim to the nations that the Zionists are not the representatives of the Jewish People, and that religious Jews have no connection with them. We should have had self-sacrifice to do this, but because of our many sins, people are frightened of public opinion, and if anyone should say these things about the Zionists, there will be religious leaders who will fight against them with all sorts of excuses.

The very act of engaging in this war [the Six Day War] was forbidden according to Jewish law, including the coercion of the Jewish People to engage in war with other nations and thereby placing the Jewish People in danger, which is a violation of the Torah. Anyone who violates the Torah and coerces the Jewish People to engage in war and cheapens the blood of thousands upon thousands of Jews by endangering their lives in a forbidden manner and in opposition to the Torah is considered a murderer and sheds innocent blood. Such people are held liable for the blood they cause to be shed. I heard that there were announcements during the war that stated that it was a necessary and positive war according to the Torah!
However, it is clear as day to anyone who can perceive truth that the source of all suffering, including the dangers of war, is the outcome of the existence of that Zionist state, that is of no value or benefit either to G-d or to the Jewish People. On the contrary, that State is the cause of all suffering and destruction, uprooting of religion and the Torah. The Zionist government is the one who ignited the anger of the Arabs by provoking them in various ways, and were it not for the stubbornness of these wicked rulers there would not be the danger of war. Even now, if they were to give up their State and government, they would doubtless remove the anger of G-d from the Jewish People, and these dangers and deaths would not befall the Jewish People.
Every single moment that they hold on to their State and government they are reviling G-d in their violation of the Three Oaths through their provocation and rebellion against the Nations, which is prohibited by the Torah, and which brings about the severe punishment for violating the Oaths, as it is written in the Talmud in the tractate Ketuboth, p. 111: … All the more by virtue of this wicked heretical regime that is bringing down the immeasurable anger of G-d against the Jewish People.
Even according to the natural order, were they to yield their government and Zionist State, there is no doubt that the United Nations could make arrangements to prevent war and bloodshed. How could anyone think that our holy Torah approves of shedding the blood of Jews because of this impure State? There is no doubt whatsoever that it is absolutely forbidden to shed the blood of a single Jewish soul to maintain the entire Zionist State.
However, most people err, and carry the vain belief and wanting to retain the State that is destroying the nature of the Jewish People. Thus, most Jews have fallen into heresy thereby. The view of our Torah has never changed, however, and rejects their State and government. Anyone who as much as believes that the State is necessary is accepting idolatry without a doubt, and such person considers Jewish blood to be valueless. This is totally in opposition to the teachings of our Torah that seeks to preserve life.

A statement from the Satmar Rav, Grand Rabbi Joel Teitelbaum concerning the so called “Yom Ha’Atzmau’t” (Zionist “Israel Independence Day”)
We must not minimize the seriousness of the grave sin of rejoicing or appearing to rejoice and making a festival on the terrible Day of Blasphemy that they call “Yom Ha’Atzmau’t. The day that the members of the conspiracy against G-d and his Messiah, established their Kingdom of Atheism over the Jewish People, by uprooting the Holy Torah and the Faith, at that time the shedding of blood of myriads upon myriads of Jews began.
This is much worse than accepting idolatry because they not only accept it but celebrate and rejoice in the terrible rebellion against G-d and His Holy Torah.
There are many sinners and even deniers of the Faith whose hearts trouble them because they are not serving G-d, but they are unable to stand up against temptation and against deceitful ideologies that confuse them. However, those who rejoice in this sin are guilty of much worse blasphemy.
May the Merciful save us from them and from their followers, and strengthen our hearts and enlighten our eyes in His Torah and in His Service.

When in mid November of 1947, it became evident that through zionist and Communist pressure the United Nations would vote for the partition of Palestine into Jewish and Arab states, Rav Dushinsky appealed, in the name of 60,000 Jewish Orthodox residents, to the United Nations by cable and a memorandum following, that Jerusalem should not be included in the Jewish state and should be given international status.

STATEMENT TO THE U.N. SPECIAL COMMITTEE ON PALESTINE by Chief Rabbi Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky

The ancient right of the People of Israel to the land of Israel.
In approaching what is commonly called the Palestine problem and in trying to find a just and suitable solution it is imperative that the history of the Holy Land and its correlation with the Jewish people be viewed in their proper perspective. Indeed from the day onwards on which the L-rd said to Abraham: “Arise, walk through the Land, in the length of it and in the breadth, for I will give it unto thee “(Genesis, 13, 17), this country was predestined to be the land of domicile for the People of Israel. However, this predestination, this divine promise, has its basis but in religion, for only loyalty to HIS laws and teachings and fundamental application of that Law in Israel’s public and private life will entitle them to the name “People of Israel” and only then can the term “Land of Israel” apply to this land as it is aid: “And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests and a holy nation” (Exodus 19, 6) and further: “For thou art a holy people under the L-rd, thy G-d.” (Deuteronomy 7, 6). The interrelation between the land of Israel and the people of Israel rise and falls with the degree and intensity with which they fulfill the Holy Law. Past experience proves that Israel fell easy prey to their enemies whenever they deviated from the path prescribed in the Holy Bible, a fact to which the chapters of the Bible bear eloquent evidence.

Unbroken settlement by Jews throughout the ages.
Hence, even after the dispersion, when Israel were scattered to the four corners of the world to atone for their sins and prepare themselves for the great task of being a holy nation and of being fit once again to live in the land of their promise, Jews loyal to the tradition of their forefathers have not severed the connection with the land even for short intervals. Though unable to fulfill all the commandments while residing abroad, particularly those relating to the soil of this land, they have constantly directed and arranged their prayers with their faces towards the Holy Land in accordance with I King 8, 48: “And pray unto thee towards their land.”
Some Jews endeavoured to visit the Holy Land at least once in their lives and at later periods, when transport and traffic connections became easier, these loyal Jews began to return to the Holy Land to live permanently therein in holiness and purity and literally applied the verse (Psalms 102, 14): “For thy servants take pleasure in her stones and favour the dust thereof.”
The relation between the people of Israel and the land of Israel being an ancient and permanent religious tie, Providence has seen to it that throughout the long history of this land, Jews were never to abandon it entirely. . . .

Good neighbourly relations with other sections of the population.
During no period of the immigration of such orthodox European Jews was any opposition offered by the Arab population. On the contrary, these Jews were welcomed on account of economic benefits and general progress that accrued to the local inhabitants who had no fear whatsoever of being subjugated. It was common knowledge that these Jews came but for the purpose of fulfilling certain religious requirements and they had no difficulty in establishing a mutual trust, and real friendship developed with all sections of the community. That was the time when good neighborly relations existed between Jews and Arabs and in particular Rabbis and eminent scholars who then lead the Jewish Community were greatly esteemed and honoured by all inhabitants.

Palestine under the Mandate.
With the occupation of Palestine by His Britannic Majesty’s Forces and after the confirmation of the Mandate over Palestine by the League of Nations, which incorporated the Balfour Declaration of 1917 a new era opened in the history of the Holy Land. We Orthodox Jews whose forefathers promoted the development of the Jewish Yishuv throughout the generations, who for many centuries constituted the most important element of the Yishuv in the Holy Land, were always on the very best of terms with all sections of the Community. We had hoped that the real purpose of the Mandate would be the promotion of a “Home” to which Jews who lived in the Diaspora might be able to return as their Home Land in order to live here in accordance with the Commandments of the Almighty. It was upon the first appearance of the Zionist organization as a political entity, created in and by the spirit of reform, a spirit to which Orthodox Jewry is so utterly opposed that the idea of the foundation of a Jewish state in the Holy Land was first advanced.
Much trouble and endless bloodshed might have been avoided if the Mandate were to have been applied in the manner hoped for by Orthodox Jewry.
In addition the various Jewish Communities in the country had been organized along traditional lines of truly Jewish Law, by actively applying the Laws of Moses to the public affairs of the Holy Land, we are convinced that the country would have remained at peace and the dangers inherent in prevailing conditions might never have arisen. Moreover, the colossal massacre of millions of our brethren at the hands of Nazism during the second World War might have been averted to a very substantial degree for many of them might have been able to live peacefully in the Holy Land as there would have been not the slightest justification for the limitations of Jewish immigration as have in fact been enforced during the last decade.
However, it is a regrettable fact that a serious blunder was committed at the time by recognising first the leaders of Zionism and then the Jewish Agency as official representation of the Jewish population and by handing the keys of immigration to that body which consists of zionists and non-zionists who are united in the opposition to the application of religion to public life and they have succeeded in bringing to this country free-thinking people like themselves who blocked the way of immigration to myriads of Orthodox Jews. Only after prolonged and forceful representations supported by the Government of Palestine did they agree to issue small numbers of certificates for immigration also to Orthodox Jews. They have thus succeeded in strengthening their position by bringing in elements of the population who were faithful to their aims and ideals and have founded Jewish Communities throughout the country whose very spirit is contrary to the requirements of Jewish Law and have thereby furthered their hold in the country, by insisting on the creation of a Jewish state therein. This aroused the fear of our Arab neighbors in connection with further Jewish immigration and thus started the determined opposition on the part of the Arabs against Jewish immigration.

Palestine as a State.
From the time of King Solomon to our very days the Holy Land was either united with Trans-Jordan or attached to Syria or Turkey. Western Palestine was never a single and independent entity and certainly a part of that cannot possibly constitute an independent state, as envisaged in the various plans that are discussed from time to time.
However, the basic reason for our opposition to an Independent Jewish state as that in prevailing circumstances the officially recognised representation of the Jewish people does not consider the authority of the Holy Law as binding in the public affairs of the Jewish people. . . .
. . . .and it is contrary to the wishes of G-d to create a Jewish State. . .

Summary of Part I
Orthodox Jewry has not the slightest intention of subjugating any section of the population of the Holy Land. We merely demand that the gates of Palestine be opened to all those Jews who have no home and enable them to live here Jewish lives in accordance with the commandments of the L-rd. However in order to avoid the continuation of the untenable position as set out in the last paragraph of section 4 we suggest that the keys of Jewish immigration be placed into the hands of the Government of this country.
We furthermore wish to express our definite opposition to a Jewish state in any part of Palestine.

Reb Yitzchok Zev Soloveitchik (the Brisker Rav)
At an assembly of various rabbis in Jerusalem in the 1950s, a proposal was raised from the ranks of rabbis serving in Jewish religious schools (yeshivas) as to whether it was permissable and desirable for those schools to accept funding from the Zionist government. One of the greatest rabbis of the generation, Rabbi Yitzchak Zev Soleveitchik, pronounced his opposition to the proposal, and later wrote a letter in which he made the following statement:

A letter written by the late Rabbi Yitzchak Ze’ev Soloveitchik in 1948 regarding accepting money from the Zionists for education.
Dear Rabbi Meir Karelitz:
I became angry to hear that at the meeting of heads of yeshiva schools held last week in Jerusalem it was decided to agree to the proposal that those schools accept funding from the United Fund administered by the Zionists, meaning that the keys to all the yeshiva schools should be transmitted to the Zionists, and that they will rule over the schools – which is what the Zionists have sought for many years.
In my opinion we must resist this proposal with self-sacrifice in all ways possible, because it is a proposal to violate the Torah, against which we must engage in self-sacrifice.
We must not worry about the possible loss of funding for our schools, which might only be for a short time. I contacted Rabbi Yehuda Finkel, and today he gave me his answer since I did not attend. He told me that the majority of the rabbis decided to accept the proposal.
However, no attention should be paid to this!
This is because the Torah does not belong to the heads of the yeshivas, and it is requirement to protest, struggle and resist their decision. Therefore, I am asking you to correct the distortion as soon as possible, because I heard that there is supposed to be a decision about this in Tel Aviv today.
G-d forbid this should occur among the Jewish People to transfer the keys of the Torah to those who violate it and fight against it!
I hope you do all you can to make sure the proposal is not implemented, and I will remain your friend.

Yitzchak Ze’ev, son of Rabbi Chaim Halevi Soloveitchik
After Reb Velvel learned that at the convention in Mariband they had discussed the Jewish state he was very disturbed and said:
“How can these small rabbis and heads of yeshivas take upon themselves the determination of things dealing with life and death? It is obvious that the partition will bring with it the anger and hostility of the Arabs and other nations of the world. This whole thing touches on the shedding of blood. HOW DO THEY HAVE THE ARROGANCE TO MAKE JUDGEMENTS DEALING WITH LIFE AND DEATH?”
When asked: aren’t we to pray for them, in order they should repent from their evil ways? He replied: three times a day in the prayer against the atheists we pray that they should be destroyed.
He also said: “The Agudah is nothing, just money.”
REB AVRAHAM YESHAYE KARELITZ(CHAZON ISH)
In 1946 a disciple of the Chazon Ish, very distressed, mentioned that a day does not go by without a Jew being killed by an Arab; the Chazon Ish, admonished him and said, “Why aren’t you at all worried that tens of thousands of Jewish children receive an education on non-belief, which is as burning the soul and the body. Is not this mass murder worse than the killings of the Arabs? our sages have clearly expressed that he who makes someone sin is worse than he who kills him.”
Thus said the Holy “Chozon Ish” of blessed memory, regarding the Atheistic State, the Atheistic Parliament and the religious parties participating in it.
Regarding the Atheistic State
The Chozon Ish said: Who keeps mitzvohs in our time and is still considered a non believer? Anyone who claims that it is the fault of the rabbis that 6 million Jews were murdered in Europe, and anyone who celebrates Independence Day (Reb Aharon Roter)
The Zionist Chief Rabbi of Tel Aviv, Rabbi Unterman, showed the Chozon Ish a proposal to allow marriages on the 5th of lyar (Zionist Independence Day) and because he was afraid to explain the true reason, he claimed that on that day the soldiers are on vacation and can get married. The Chozon Ish said to him: “If this is so, then I am inclined to allow marriages from Rosh Chodesh lyar until Lag B’Omer.” The Rabbi of Tel Aviv argued that this is very lenient. The Chozon Ish then asked: “How is it that I am lenient and you are strict?” Rabbi Unterman was finally forced to admit that he wished to bypass the laws of mourning of Sefira on Independence Day. The Chozon Ish replied forcefully: “Perhaps it is more fitting to declare it a fast day!” (Reb Moshe Shonfeld)
In 5701, the Chozon Ish commanded to announce on the 5th of lyar in his Bais Medrah that Tachanun would not be said because he was being honored with being Sandek (so no one would think he was celebrating Independence Day). However, in the last year of his life on the 5th of lyar, even though the Chozon Ish as honored with being Sandek three times, he still commanded that Tachanun be said in his Bais Medrash, explaining that he is doing this so no one will be able to testify in the future that Tachanun was not said in his Bais Medrash on the 5th of lyar and hide the reason of the Bris Milah. When war broke out between the Zionists and the Arabs, the “Haganah” began extension target practice next to the house of the Chozon Ish. One of the officers came to him and said: “The Rov should not be afraid of the shots; they are coming from our boys.” To this the Chozon Ish replied immediately, “I am more afraid of your shooting on Shabbos than the explosions of the Arabs all week long.” (Reb. Moshe Shonfeld)
The Rosh Yeshiva of Chadera once spoke to the Chozon Ish about a certain problem which he thought would cause him persecution and asked, “What can we do, now they have kings and officers (the upper hand)?” The Chozon Ish answered him: “Don’t even use this expression again. The only difference is that before this, the secularists fought us with pens and now they do so with rifles.” (Reb Yachov Galinsky)
The only actual difference with the formation of the Zionists State is, that before this they were hoodlums without arms, and now the hoodlums have arm. (Reb A. Y. Weintraub)
He would say: “Moshieach will not take over from them, something will happen in the interim.” (ibid)
So, he once said: “One clear day they will open the windows and they will see ‘no more State’.”(ibid)
In 1950 or 1951, I visited him to clarify certain matters regarding life in the State of Israel. I spoke of the spiritual situation very worriedly. He stopped me and coldly analyzed all the problems and concluded that one should not talk in an exaggerated fashion. He also told me that he doesn’t refrain from giving political advice to people that seek it since he usually answers each person in accordance with his manner, yet for him there exists only one means against any troubles and that is: prayer. I as nervous and frustrated and my questions were asked with obvious tension. I reviewed several problems of the state which I felt.
The Chozon Ish said: “If there would be peace and security in the boundaries of the state, its leaders would now be occupied with persecuting observant Jews, and of this is said ‘there is no peace – says Hashem – for the wicked.'” (Reb Shmuel Wosner)
He didn’t make a State Identification Card. And when the regime made a census, he refused to register, saying “I am from the people of Yerusholoyim” (meaning the observant people of Yerusholoyim who refused to be counted). (Reb Y. A. Weintraub)
At the beginning of the State, the municipality of Bnei Brak wanted to hang a Zionist flag on his house and he refused and when he was told he would have to pay a fine because of his refusal, he answered, “It’s worth it, it’s worth it.” (Ibid)
On the Knesset of Atheists
Even though the Zionist State has no judge who will judge according to Torah law, and they must appoint someone who is learned in human morality; they are not permitted to accept statutes of the gentiles or to make their own laws. For one who judges a case according to his own logic, is at least compromising, and it is not so obvious that he has left the true source of the Torah law to adopt false ones. But if laws are agreed upon, the Torah is being desecrated. And of this it is written, ‘which you shall put before them and not ordinary courts” as will be learned in para. 26. There is no difference between going to non-Jews or a Jew who is judging according to man-made laws. It is even worse, for they have exchanged the laws of the Torah for laws that are worthless. If the people of the city agree to this – there is nothing binding in the agreement; and if they will enforce this, their law is thievery and they are rebelling against the Torah of Moshe (Chozon Ish, Sanhedrin, note 15)
The laws passed in the Zionist Knesset are like those of any group of thieves and robbers who organize themselves and make their own rules. (Reb Y. A. Weintraub)
When Mr. M. D. Lewinstein, a member of the Zionist Parliament of the Agudah complained about a few proposed laws to be passed by the government, the Chozon Ish explained that a few days before a chief Rabbi of one of the cities visited him and complained that the laws of the Government don’t allow Rabbis to judge according to Torah law in matters such as a daughter’s inheritance. The Chozon Ish answered him: “Did you really expect that this secular government would agree to and support judges and also allow them to rule according to the Torah’s truths? I’m surprised!” (Reb Moshe Shonfeld)
He once asked one of the representatives of Agudas’ Yisroel in the Zionist Parliament when the recess would begin for the members of the Parliament. To this person’s question of what difference it is to him when they recess, our Rov (z’tl) answered him: “When the Parliament recesses I, too, have a little peace knowing that at this time there is no danger of new decrees.”
On the Political Parties
When I once complained that one of the people coming to the Chozon Ish’s house was not too particular in his fulfillment of mitzvohs, he told that one should not estrange even those who are on the ‘in between’ level. I found the opportunity to argue: “Why then the strong opposition to Misrachi? Aren’t they also ‘in between’ and why all this great anger? He explained to me that the difference is that the term of ‘in between’ cannot include a specific ideology in itself, and even one who is ‘in between’ realized and knows that it is better to be completely righteous and that every must aspire to complete righteousness, but that he (the individual) does not have the ability to withstand temptation and trial. But on the other hand, Mizrachi comprises an ideology of ‘inbetweeness’ that preaches that all Jews be ‘in between’ and nothing more. They have also based their educational theories on this, and they relate to a completely righteous person negatively, without seeing him as a complete (perfect) person, and in this is hidden a great danger. (Reb Shlomo Cohen)
It is difficult to decide on these matters from isolated saying from Chazal, and the judge in these matters is the inner feeling which flows from the love and fear of the Almighty to which each one is worthy according to his level. It seems to me that regarding this feeling, there are no differences of opinion, and all who are really religious intuitively feel what to accept and what to keep away from, as if a spirit from above is anointing them. In our time, all are alike in their views of Zionism and Mizrachi and all that happens through them. I know of almost no divergent opinions between religious people on these matters, to the point where anyone who wishes to embrace what we feel should be alienated is judged by this religious intuitive feeling as one who is suspect. He once reacted with anger regarding those religious members of the Zionist Parliament who sit there and take part in its proceedings, “Why do they sit there? If they would ask me, I would tell them to stay at home.” (Reb. Y. Weintraub)
At the beginning of the State, one of the Agudah’s Members of Knesset passed away, and an announcement of the funeral was hung in the study hall of the Chozon Ish. He signed and mourned the fact that he was entitled “Member of Knesset”, even after his death and expressed himself: “When he will come above and present himself as a member of Knesset, they will call the Malach Gavriel and ask if he know what this is, and he will say, ‘we don’t know’. Then they will render the verdict and say – ‘If it is Torah and mitzvohs – good, and if not, etc.’ (Reb. Y. Meisels)
Just as simplicity and truth are separate entities, so are extremism and greatness separate entities: Extremism is the perfection of the topic. One who waves the banner of moderation and hates extremism, is in the same camp as liars or imbeciles. If there is no extremism there is no perfection and without perfection there is no beginning. For the beginning is with constant questioning and doubts, and perfection is the sharp reply which puts each statement in the right and truthful place.
We are used to hearing certain circles declare that they are not extremists, and yet still consider themselves faithful Jews with enough faith in Torah and Torah opinion. From an arbitrary point of view, we say that just as there are among the lovers of wisdom none who love just a little wisdom and hate a lot of wisdom, so among the lovers of Torah and its commandments there is no love of mediocrity and hatred for extremism (from a letter to a Rosh Yeshiva, Yalkeit Daas Torah).

TORAH THOUGHTS
The medrash Rabba states, “You shall oppress the Midianites – because they oppressed you. From here our Sages derive that one may kill someone who attempts to kill you. Rabbi Shimon explained: Why is one who causes another to sin worse than one who kills a person? One who kills another, removes only from this world but he does not take away the other’s share in the next world; whereas one who causes another to sin, causes him to lose both worlds. Two nations met Israel with the sword, – and two caused them to sin. Concerning the Egyptians and Edomites who fought us with the sword – the Torah commands not to despise them. Concerning the Moabites and Ammonites who caused us to sin, that they may not enter into our midst even after ten generations.”
We hear terrible news that Jews are being killed (may Hashem spare us) and this is certainly bitter.
Yet I have never seen anyone recite a chapter of Tehilim for the thousands and tens of thousands of Jews who were led away from the Torah by those wicked people (the Zionist government -ED.)
Daily, over there good Jews are led astray. When a Jew comes from Russia or Spain or wherever else Jews were scattered, his last spark of Jewishness is immediately extinguished. Those evil ones have established a factory to do away with religion, unparalleled since we became a people. Although missionaries rose against us in Spain, they were not successful. There were Jews who died to sanctify the Holy Name and those who keep their religion secretly and, as is well known, the rest left their land and birthplace. In every generation there are those who wish to destroy us and the Almighty delivers us from their hands. But these wicked people have been successful in causing millions of Jews to leave their religion. The Medrash cries out that he who causes another to sin is worse than one who kills another person, but no one pays attention. The main thing is (people believe Zionists) that they have been successful in the military field. The Tehilims are left to rot – until these people set their accursed minds on doing battle again. No one cries out concerning the Jewish souls who have been sullied by these evil people: “They are murdering Jews! They are murdering Jews!” In fact, the crime is worse than murder, for he who causes another to sin is worse than a murderer.
We would think that these “missionaries” must be gentiles, must stem from a nation that hates Jews. But no, they call themselves Jews. Although completely assimilated, they pretend to be Jews – and this is why they are successful.
As we said, it is tragic that Jews are being killed. But truth to tell, we are (may Hashem spare us) used to this, as happened during the pogroms of 1648-49, and in our times, when because of our sins millions of Jews were murdered. These tragedies never caused the Jewish nation to become “bankrupt”. But the deeds of these wicked people who have declared war on G-d’s Torah have left our people on the threshold of “bankruptcy” (may Hashem spare us), and if not for the Almighty’s vow never to destroy the children of Avraham who knows what would be left of the Jewish people today.
In Kings (Melochim 1, Chapter 18) it states that the prophet Eliyohu asked the people, “How long will you step over both thresholds if G-d be the true G-d, follow Him and if Baal, follow him”.
Was the prophet in doubt what the people were doing? And why did he give them a choice whether or not to follow Hashem?
I have seen an explanation from a Torah leader in our generation that Eliyohu addressed those who were sometimes sitting in the study halls of Torah and sometimes worshipped Baal. He told them, “If you think there is something to Baal, follow him–but do not site together with us for we have nothing to do with you!” Eliyoju’s words were meant for Jews who kept the Torah and its laws but had been influenced by the Baal worshippers; while sitting in the Bais Hamedrash, they mingled the impure ideas with those of our Holy Torah.
This has been happening to the elite of our religious Jewry: They rejoice in the success of these wicked people, benefit from their impure table and dirty money, and honor them and their leaders – and in turn are respected for their cooperation. We say to them: “How long will you step over both thresholds?! If Hashem be the true G-d, follow Him and if the Baal – then do not return to our study hall, but follow him and his trends.”
We can learn the way to serve Hashem properly from the words of the Ohr HaChaim HaKodosh on this week’s sedra:
Why does the Torah tell us twice to hate the Midianites. Our Sages explain that this teaches us that even through the Torah usually does not allow to destroy the trees of an enemy city, this lowly and despised nation’s trees should not be spared. We must understand why the Torah considers this action vengeance on Midyan more than, for example, eating of their booty. Wouldn’t our consuming their booty cause them to suffer more, just as we find in the curses that the Torah mentions “and your enemies will consume it (your land).”
The Ohr HaChaim, in answer, writes: “Hashem advises to hate even what is sweet and good from them, destroy every tree, every sweet fountain and all that is good of theirs because they caused you to sin. Similarly, it says in Tehilim those who hate you, I will hate! “Those who hate you” can also be read, “who cause hatred”.
By hating evil doers, sin will not lure us; we will keep them away from it, and we will be endowed with G-dliness. The trait of abhorring even what is good in sinners is helpful to those who want to live. It atones for the former sin in thinking wrong thoughts and shields from punishment. “Thus, the words “oppress the Midianites” tell us that by hating them and all that is good in them, by destroying their trees and wells, we atone for the sin of having desired them. This is one of the ways of rectifying the damage and repenting. “Hate them” is said in the present tense because this hatred must be constantly reinforced, until it is rooted in us”. Until here the Ohr HaChaim, In other words, he, of blessed memory, tells us that our only hope is to hate those who incite others to sin and any good thing of theirs – and if we have anything of theirs we must destroy it. Further, we must arouse in ourselves great hatred of those who cause Jews to go astray. This is a righteous hatred, as King David said; “With absolute hatred do I hate them”. It is hatred for its own sake, the deepest kind of hatred (since they have declared war on the Torah). We may have nothing to do with those sinners; we may not, G-d forbid, flatter them or appear friendly to them. There is no need to say that we may not benefit from them, and as the Ohr HaChaim HaKodosh wrote, this is beneficial for he who wants life.
The Torah states in this weeks sedra, “The name of the tribe’s leader was Zimri ben Salu of the family of Shimon”. Rashi z”l writes: This tells us Pinchas’ praise, that he did not refrain from avenging a desecration of G-d’s Name, even though the other was the prince of his tribe; therefore the Torah informs us who was killed.
This teaches that in matters involving desecration of G-d’s Name one does not respect even an important person.
And in truth their prime minister, (Begin) is no leader. Where did he learn? Where are his tefilin? He is really from the worst of the worst; He was educated among criminals and murderers (the terrorist movement in the time of the British mandate-Ed.) and it is unbelievable that religious Jews flatter him and are friendly to him. He is responsible for the thousands and tens of thousands of Jewish souls lost to Torah. Who is responsible if not the prime minister? Thus, he resembles the wicked Titus; he is worse than the wicked Haman, because Haman attempted only physical annihilation, whereas he has caused thousands and tens of thousands to forsake their religion.
Some of those who flatter him justify themselves under the mantle of “loving each fellow Jews”. They claim that one may not hate any other Jew and hence attack those who take an unequivocal stand in this issue and will not be influenced by falsifiers. Their attitude is the exact opposite of the Torah view, for there could be no worse hatred of fellow Jews than to flatter and love those evil people who have caused thousands and tens of thousands to forsake their religion (may Hashem spare us). If they had out rightly murdered them there would be no debate as to whether one may hate them. Since one who causes another to sin is worse than one who murders another person, and these people have caused such a rift in the entire Jewish people, one who loves them, hates all those unfortunate souls who have been murdered in this world and the next by these sinners. There is no greater hatred of Israel than this. Of a murderer it is written, “The congregation shall judge him and save him” – the judges should try to find some defense for him. On the other hand, of one who incites others to idol worship it is written, “You shall not have pity on him nor cover up for him.” Since these people are worse than murderers, we must hate them, as Dovid HaMelech wrote, “The very essence of hatred, do I hate them”.
Certainly, the Almighty will help so that the truth will be revealed quickly and all will see that the truth is with those who hate these wicked people. What will become of these sinners is not known, for we are too little to know this. One cannot imagine that they will deserve anything. People who have for 40, 50, 60 years caused Jewish souls to go astray, who have fought full strength against the Torah, who have destroyed an entire generation – who knows what will be their end. But we must strengthen ourselves to realize the truth – not to exhibit false zealousness, but rather to strive to see the real truth – until it will be fully revealed to us; may it be soon.

TEN QUESTIONS TO THE ZIONISTS
1. IS IT TRUE that in 1941 and again in 1942, the German Gestapo offered all European Jews transit to Spain, if they would relinquish all their property in Germany and Occupied France; on condition that:
a) none of the deportees travel from Spain to Palestine; and
b) all the deportees be transported from Spain to the USA or British colonies, and there to remain; with entry visas to be arranged by the Jews living there; and
c) $1000.00 ransom for each family to be furnished by the Agency, payable upon the arrival of the family at the Spanish border at the rate of 1000 families daily.
2. IS IT TRUE that the Zionist leaders in Switzerland and Turkey received this offer with the clear understanding that the exclusion of Palestine as a destination for the deportees was based on an agreement between the Gestapo and the Mufti.
3. IS IT TRUE that the answer of the Zionist leaders was negative, with the following comments:
a) ONLY Palestine would be considered as a destination for the deportees.
b) The European Jews must accede to suffering and death greater in measure than the other nations, in order that the victorious allies agree to a “Jewish State” at the end of the war.
c) No ransom will be paid
4. IS IT TRUE that this response to the Gestapo’s offer was made with the full knowledge that the alternative to this offer was the gas chamber.
5. IS IT TRUE that in 1944, at the time of the Hungarian deportations, a similar offer was made, whereby all Hungarian Jewry could be saved.
6. IS IT TRUE that the same Zionist hierarchy again refused this offer (after the gas chambers had already taken a toll of millions).
7. IS IT TRUE that during the height of the killings in the war, 270 Members of the British Parliament proposed to evacuate 500,000 Jews from Europe, and resettle them in British colonies, as a part of diplomatic negotiations with Germany.
8. IS IT TRUE that this offer was rejected by the Zionist leaders with the observation “Only to Palestine!”
9. IS IT TRUE that the British government granted visas to 300 rabbis and their families to the Colony of Mauritius, with passage for the evacuees through Turkey. The “Jewish Agency” leaders sabotaged this plan with the observation that the plan was disloyal to Palestine, and the 300 rabbis and their families should be gassed.
10. IS IT TRUE that during the course of the negotiations mentioned above, Chaim Weitzman, the first “Jewish statesman” stated: “The most valuable part of the Jewish nation is already in Palestine, and those Jews living outside Palestine are not too important”. Weitzman’s cohort, Greenbaum, amplified this statement with the observation “One cow in Palestine is worth more than all the Jews in Europe”.
There are additional similar questions to be asked of these atheist degenerates known as “Jewish statesmen”, but for the time being let them respond to the ten questions.
These Zionist “statesmen” with their great foresight, sought to bring an end two two-thousand years of Divinely ordained Jewish subservience and political tractability. With their offensive militancy, they fanned the fires of anti-Semitism in Europe, and succeeded in forging a bond of Jew-hatred between Nazi-Germany and the surrounding countries.
These are the “statesmen” who organized the irresponsible boycott against Germany in 1933. This boycott hurt Germany like a fly attacking an elephant – but it brought calamity upon the Jews of Europe. At a time when America and England were at peace with the mad-dog Hitler, the Zionist “statesmen” forsook the only plausible method of political amenability; and with their boycott incensed the leader of Germany to a frenzy. And then, after the bitterest episode in Jewish history, these Zionist “statesmen” lured the broken refugees in the DP camps to remain in hunger and deprivation, and to refuse relocation to any place but Palestine; only for the purpose of building their State.
The Zionist “statesmen” have incited and continue to incite an embittered Jewish youth to futile wars against world powers like England, and against masses of hundreds of millions of Arabs.

A look into history reveals that this very same type of “statesmen” opposed the call of Jeremiah the prophet to yield to the minions of Nebuchadnezzar at the destruction of the first Temple. Five centuries later, Rabbi Yochonon Ben Zakai appealed to the people to surrender to Titus the Roman to avoid bloodshed. One should not entreat the Creator to provide a banquet on Yom Kippur, and one can not perform a ritual ablution with a dead bug in his hand. Similarly, we should avoid the untenable position of the robber who prays for Divine help in carrying out his crime. We should pray that Zionism and its fruits vanish from the Earth, and that we be redeemed by the Messiah with dispatch.
A prisoner is released only when he has served his time, or if he is pardoned by the President for good behavior. If he attempts escape and is apprehended, his term is lengthened, besides the beating he receives when he is caught.

To begin with, a few definitions: Who is a Jew? A Jew is anyone who has a Jewish mother or who converted to Judaism in conformity with Halacha, Jewish religious law. This definition alone excludes racism. Judaism does not seek converts, but those who do convert are accepted on a basis of equality. Let us see how far this goes. Some of the most eminent and respected rabbis were converts to Judaism. Jewish parents throughout the world bless their children every Sabbath and holiday eve, and they have done it in the same way for millennia. If the children are girls, the blessing is, “May G-d let you be like Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah.” Not one of these matriarchs was born a Jewess; they were all converts to Judaism. If the children are boys, the blessing is, “May G-d let you be like Ephraim and Menashe.” The mother of these two was an Egyptian woman who became Jewish and had married Joseph. Moses himself, the greatest Jew who ever lived, married a Midianite woman who became Jewish. Finally, the Tenach, the holy writings of the Jew, contains the book of Ruth. This woman was not only not Jewish by birth, but she came from the Moabites, traditional enemies of the Jewish people. This book describes Ruth’s conversion to Judaism and is read annually on the holiday commemorating the giving of the Torah, the “Law,” i.e. the Pentateuch. At its very end, the book of Ruth traces the ancestry of King David, the greatest king the Jews ever had, to Ruth, his great-grandmother.
Apart from the Zionists, the only ones who consistently considered the Jews a race were the Nazis. And they only served to prove the stupidity and irrationality of racism. There was no way to prove racially whether a Mrs. Muller or a Mr. Meyer were Jews or Aryans (the Nazi term for non-Jewish Germans. The only way to decide whether a person was Jewish was to trace the religious affiliation of the parents or grandparents. So much for the this racial nonsense.

Judaism is a Religion – Not a Race

During the Middle Ages, the Jewish people suffered many a time from fanatically religious governments who expelled or killed whoever refused to adhere to their religious belief. In the modern era, the Jewish people suffer due to the world’s misunderstanding of the distinction between Judaism and Zionism.
Judaism is a religion, not a race. Throughout history, whoever joined the Jewish religion was called a Jew, no matter what his race, and whoever abandoned the Holy Torah was not considered a Jew. In fact, the biggest names in Jewish history were converts or descendants of converts: King David, Zipporah, Rabbi Akiva, Rabbi Meir, Shmaya and Avtalyon.
The proponents of Zionism, for their own political and financial advantage, have transformed the Jewish religion into a race. Similarly, they have taken the Torah, a book of Divine law which teaches fairness, peace and piety, and transformed it into a vehicle for their political goals, a source for their claims to a piece of land. These claims took their latest form this week, when, to our sorrow, the Zionist falsification was brought to the world’s eyes by the media.
President Bush is visiting the State of Israel, and several rabbis of the extremist Zionist settler community have penned a letter to the President, asking him to stop putting pressure on the Israeli leadership to make land concessions to the Palestinian Authority.
The letter read in part:
“It is totally presumptuous that while the US fights terror, it pressures Israel to make concessions to terrorists! In the name of the people of Israel, the Land of Israel, the Torah of Israel and the G-d of Israel, we demand that his honor the president cease the pressure on the State to hand lands to the Arab’s¦ Honorable President, you must not be remembered in history as Nebuchadnezzar and Titus who destroyed Jerusalem. You must surely remember that American does not benefit from causing damage, Heaven forbid, to the Jewish people and its land. If you help the wholeness of our holy land, we promise you and your country endless blessings.”

The writers of this letter call themselves rabbis and speak in the name of the Jewish religion, but the world must not allow itself to be fooled. They are radical politicians and militants advancing their own agenda, for which they are distorting the Holy Torah and by doing so they are jeopardizing the Jewish people in the entire world as the Zionists did in the Second World War.
We look forward to the Messianic Era, when Jerusalem will be “a house of prayer for all nations” (Isaiah 56:7)

Through all the years of exile, pious Jews as individuals were attracted to reside in the Holy Land because of its innate holy character and the opportunity it offered for the observance of various precepts bound in the land. Jews as a whole continue to pray that the Al-mighty return his Divine presence to the Land of Israel, by the coming of the Messiah, who will build His Temple, from whence will emanate Divine Wisdom and ultimate spiritual fulfillment of the entire human race.
Through the many years that Jews resided in the Holy Land for this purpose, they enjoyed tranquil and cordial relations with the non-Jewish population there.
The Zionist movement which was formed at the latter part of the last century, sought to endow the Jews with a nationalistic character which was heretofore strange to them. It sought to deprive them of their historically religious character and offered in substitution of faith in G-d and adherence to the Torah, and belief in their ultimate redemption by the coming of the Messiah, a nationalistic ideology and the possibility of establishing through political media, a Jewish national homeland.
During the period of the British Mandate, the Balfour Declaration, which recognized the eventual possibility of founding a Jewish national homeland, in Palestine, was affirmed to be the British government. The Jewish Agency, who then was the Chief representative of Zionist interests in the Holy Land, was entrusted with the issuance of visas to the Holy Land, thus resulting in an increased Zionist immigration from various parts of the world, which ultimately succeeded in superceding in numbers, the veteran Orthodox dwellers.
Orthodox Jewry all over the world and the Orthodox Community in the Holy Land in particular, immediately sensed in this stage of Zionist success, the threat of grave danger for the religious future of Jews. The Arab inhabitants began to exhibit open hostility to their Jewish neighbors. The British government failed to distinguish between the Orthodox community, who for generations in habited the Holy Land, and the newly arrived Zionist immigrants.
With the acquisition by the Zionist nationalists of the power to organize communities in Palestine, they formed the Vaad Haleumi Leknesset Yisroel (National Jewish Council Committee). This committee ignored the rights of the Orthodox veteran dwellers who did not recognize this validity of Jewish nationality, and whose identification as Jews was solely with their loyalty to their religious heritage. The religious inhabitants, on the other hand, shuddered at the prospects of spiritual disintegration of World Jewry, with the new rise to power of the Zionist nationalists.
The Orthodox inhabitants actively objected to being subject to the authority of the secularists. They appealed their cause to the League of Nations, who consequently granted them a “Right of exclusion” to the subjugation to the Vaad Haleumi, which rights provided that any Jew wishing not to be incorporated into the Vaad Haleumi, may remain lawfully independent if he so stated his wish in writing. Thousands of Jews did so.
Such was the case until November 1948, when the United Nations finally sanctioned the establishment of a Zionist State. We do not doubt that their success in finally realizing their goal was due in great measure to their having misled the world into viewing the Zionist cause as the Jewish cause. The formation of the Zionist state resulted in the automatic deprivation of the autonomy heretofore possessed by the Orthodox inhabitants of the Holy Land.
The Zionists grasped in the acquisition of their new powers, the opportunity to openly disassociate themselves from any identification with Jews as a religion. They systematically began to orient the minds of their generations according to the tenets of Zionist nationalism. Through the Ministry of Religions they employed part of the Rabbinate to assist them in their aims.
The religious Jews who by virtue of their faith, clearly contradicted Zionist nationalism, and who had lived peacefully with their Arab neighbors for generations, became unwillingly identified with the Zionist cause and their struggle with the Arabs. They requested the United Nations that Jerusalem be designated as a defacto international city. They appealed to the diplocatic corps assigned to Jerusalem — but to no avail. They were hence confronted with the choice of either becoming a part of the Zionist State, which diametrically opposed the interests of Jews as a religion, or abandoning the land of which their forefathers were the first Jewish settlers.
We find it of supreme importance to emphasize that we are fearful of the consequences of the Zionist rebellion against the Creator, as stated expressly in Jeremich, “For it is bad and bitter your renunciation of G-d…” We wish not to be affected by the behavior of this government who in the name of Israel, persist in their renunciation and utter disregard of religious Judaism such as is clearly attested by their laws expressly permitting wanton autopsies (Law of Anatomy and Pathology, 1953), forcible desecration of the Sabbath (Law of Emergency Labor Draft 1967: PPS 1, 19; 27, 36), profanation of Holy Sites by retaining non-religious custodians, desecration of Holy Cemetaries by Safed, Beth Shearim and elsewhere, and countless more examples, proof of which is readily available.
Insofar as all human being find necessary the protection of their rights as human beings, we hereby request all those that find it within their power, to aid us in reacquiring the rights we possessed prior to the formation of the Zionist State*, to remain lawfully independent of the Zionist authority.

1881: Pogroms of Russia result in heavy emigration to USA. Some few Jews even emigrates to Palestine, as they are motivated by religious ideas of Palestine as Jewish homeland.
1891 – Cecil Rhodes drew up his fourth will with Lionel Rothschild the trustee of his fortune; Arthur Balfour, a Jew, in Circle of Initiates.
“The secret society, after so much preliminary talk, took form in 1891, the same year in which Rhodes drew up his fourth will and made Stead as well as Lord Rothschild the trustee of his fortune. It is perfectly clear from the evidence that he expected Lord Rothschild to handle the financial investments associated with the trust, while Stead was to have full charge of the methods by which the funds were used. About the same time, in February 1891, Stead and Rhodes had another long discussion about the secret society. First they discussed their goals and agreed that, if necessary in order to achieve Anglo-American unity, Britain should join the United States. {i.e. the capital should be in the U. S.} Then they discussed the organization of the secret society and divided it into two circles: an inner circle ‘The Society of the Elect’, and an outer circle to include ‘The Association of Helpers and The Review of Reviews (Stead’s magazine founded 1890). Rhodes said that he had already revealed the plan for ‘The Society of the Elect’ to Rothschild and ‘little Johnston.’…

1891, March 5 – Seven years before Theodore Herzl’s First Zionist Congress, William Blackstone petitioned Pres. Benjamin Harrison to authorize homeland for the Jews in Palestine. Groundwork laid for Judaized Christianity; Blackstone ‘father of Zionism’.
“On March 5, 1891, the Chicago businessman and Methodist Episcopal lay worker William E. Blackstone was introduced by Secretary of State James G. Blaine to President Benjamin Harrison in order to present a petition Blackstone authored, ‘Palestine for the Jews.’ ‘What shall be done for the Russian Jews?’ the petition asked, and Blackstone boldly answered:

1893: Nathan Birnbaum introduces the term ‘Zionism’.
1896: The Austrian Jew Theodor Herzl publishes the book The Jewish State, where he declares that the cure for anti-semitism was the establishment of a Jewish state. As he saw it, the best place to establish this state was in Palestine, but this geography was no precondition.
1897: The 1st Zionist Congress is held in Basel in Switzerland. 200 delegates participates. The Basel Program is formulated, which calls for the creation of a Jewish homeland in Palestine, where Jews could live safely under public law. The World Zionist organization is also established, and establishes its head quarters in Vienna, Austria.
1903: Britain offers an area of 15,500 km² in Uganda in Africa, an area of virgin land to the Jews of the world, where a Jewish homeland could be established.
1905: 7th Zionist Congress refuses Britain’s Uganda proposal. Israel Zangwill forms the Jewish Territorial organization, which sought to find territory for a Jewish state, no matter where this would be. His organization got only few supporters. — After the Russian revolution is defeated, many young Jews emigrate from Russia.

1909 – C.I. Scofield [Scofeld], a member of the Niagara Prophecy Conference with William Blackstone, published his Scofield Reference Bible.

Virtually all of the prophecy that is being preached in the church buildings today has come from a scheme of Bible interpretation propagated by C.I. Scofield early in the 1900’s.
Let’s examine what Scofield says about Matthew 24 in his reference notes and I will show you how he intentionally has mislead those individuals who have chosen to adopt his schemes. In verse 34, Christ tells His disciples, Verily I say unto you. This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled. Scofield says in his notes that we know that Christ could not have possibly been referring to that generation in which the disciples were living because of the definitions of the Greek words for generation. He says that generation here comes from the Greek word GENEA. Well, it does. It is number 1074 in the Greek dictionary of Strong’s Concordance. But, the deceiver does not give you the definition of GENEA, he instead goes down to 1085 – GENOS – and gives you that definition, all the while telling you that he is giving you the definition for GENEA.
He uses the definition GENOS, which says, “off-spring, stock, nation, et.al.” and tells you that it means that the word generation in Matthew 24:34 can mean A FUTURE GENERATION and NOT the one that Christ was talking to 2,000 years ago! Not only that but he also says that we KNOW that He was talking about a future generation because “NONE OF THESE THINGS, I.E. THE WORLD-WIDE PREACHING OF THE KINGDOM HAS EVER TAKEN PLACE”.
If that were true, then I would have no choice but to concede that as the truth, and stop writing this booklet immediately. But, somehow this great Bible scholar seems to be missing some passages of Scripture that are in my Bible, but simply must not have been in his or any other ‘preacher’s’ in this country.
LOOK at Colossians 1:23!
COLOSSIANS 1:23 – READ THIS VERSE!!! Paul says TO THE COLOSSIANS – 2,000 years ago!!! –
If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away from the hope of the gospel, which ye HAVE HEARD, AND WHICH WAS PREACHED TO EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN; whereof I Paul am made a minister;
WHAT???? Paul said that the gospel was preached to every creature which is under heaven! Did the apostle Paul make the same kind of ‘mistakes’ that the Lord Jesus made when He taught? Was Paul misleading these people? Was he lying to them? Paul also told them earlier in verses five and six that the gospel had come unto them as it IS IN ALL THE WORLD! How could Scofield say that WE KNOW that the word generation of Matthew 24:34 could not have meant that generation because the gospel had never been preached to the whole world?
My friends, the gospel not only filled the Roman Empire, which is all it had to do to fulfill the Bible prophecy, but it was preached to EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN!
Why is it so hard to just believe what the Bible says? Do you have any idea how many times people have said to me, “Well, I never saw those verses in COLOSSIANS.”? Well, why haven’t you? Why don’t you know those verses? If you don’t know such incredibly powerful verses as those, then what else don’t you know? How could people supposedly interested in truth not know that Paul said that the gospel had been preached to EVERY CREATURE WHICH IS UNDER HEAVEN?
How could someone like the supposed great C.I. Scofield say emphatically that Matthew 24:14 has never been fulfilled? Men’s lives have depended on the fact that Matthew 24:14 has supposedly never been fulfilled. The entire scheme of modern day religious Bible teaching on the “end of the world” must come crashing down because of this awesome lie that all of the religious world has swallowed.
There is something else that is amazing to me when reading Scofield’s notes of Matthew 24. He says that we are seeing wonderful fulfillments of God’s promises to Israel taking place right before our eyes. Promises of land, blessings, etc., fulfilled right before our eyes.
TAKE A LOOK at JOSHUA 21:43 – 45.
Verse 43: And the Lord gave unto Israel all the land which he sware to give unto their fathers; and they possessed it, and dwelt therein.
Verse 44: And the Lord gave them rest round about, according to all that he sware unto their fathers: and there stood not a man of all their enemies before them; the Lord delivered all their enemies into their hand.
Verse 45: There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.
How many notes do you think Scofield makes concerning this passage? Not one. Scofield does not place one single margin note on what his ideas are concerning this passage of Scripture. Somehow it isn’t amazing to me by now that the same people that didn’t know COLOSSIANS 1:6 and 23 were in the Bible, don’t know that Joshua 21:43 – 45 are in their either. [So much for running the Palestinians out of their homes and off their land by the force of ‘assault weapons’, to deliver the ‘Jews’ to their ‘promised land’

1916 – Blackstone Memorial finally accepted by Rothschild pawn, Woodrow Wilson.

1917 – As Foreign Secretary / Secretary of State in the administration of Lloyd George, Arthur Balfour issued the Balfour Declaration to Lord Rothschild. The Declaration had been drafted by Lord Milner of Cecil Rhodes’ Circle of Intimates.

Cornwallis went on to explain that what would seem to be a seem to be a contradiction:

The Canadian Intelligence Service – Excerpt from September 1952 issue – submitted by James Moorhouse. – The following speech was given by Rabbi Emanuel Rabinovich before a special meeting of the Emergency Council of European Rabbis in Budapest, Hungary, January 12, 1952

This next is an excerpt from the same speech, found in the book, The World’s Troublemakers. [See resources ] “THE STRUGGLE AGAINST THE GENTILES” Speaking of the Third World War, Rabbi Rabinovich is publicly reported to have addressed a special meeting of Rabbis in Budapest on January 12, 1952 thus:
“… This war will end for all time the struggle against the Gentiles… Our race will rule undisputed over the world… And so, with vision of world victory before you, go back to your countries and intensify your good work, until that approaching day when Israel will reveal herself in all her glorious destiny as the Light of the World”.
1922: Britain gives The World Zionist organization the mandate to administer Jewish immigration and settlement in Palestine. This immigration and settlement was funded by American Jews.
1939: The British ‘White Paper’ gives the Arabs of Palestine de facto control over Jewish immigration.
1942: A call is issued from Zionist leaders for the establishment of a Jewish state in all of western Palestine, when World War II ends.
1948 May 14: The State of Israel is founded. The World Zionist organization continues to back Jewish immigration to Israel.
Theodore Herzl

The term “Zionism” was first introduced in 1893 by Nathan Birmbaum, but Theodor Herzl, an Austrian Jew born to a prosperous, emancipated Budapest family, is recognized as the founder of the Zionist idealogy when he published his book in 1896, “The Jewish State”, where he declared that the cure for anti-semitism was the establishment of a Jewish state. As he saw it, the best place to establish this state was in Palestine.
While Herzl claimed that the establishment of a “Jewish” state would cure anti-Semitism, he also promoted anti-Semitism to further his cause.
Herzl stated in his diary:
“It is essential that the sufferings of Jews.. . become worse. . . this will assist in realization of our plans. . .I have an excellent idea. . . I shall induce anti-Semites to liquidate Jewish wealth. . . The anti-Semites will assist us thereby in that they will strengthen the persecution and oppression of Jews. The anti-Semites shall be our best friends”. (From his Diary, Part I, pp. 16)
Benny Morris (the Israeli Historian), described how Herzl foresaw how anti-Semitism could be “HARNESSED” for the realization of Zionism. He stated:
“Herzl regarded Zionism’s triumph as inevitable, not only because life in Europe was ever more untenable for Jews, but also because it was in Europe’s interests to rid the Jews and relieved of anti-Semitism: The European political establishment would eventually be persuaded to promote Zionism. Herzl recognized that anti-Semitism would be HARNESSED to his own–Zionist-purposes.” (Righteous Victims, p. 21)
In the diary of Hertzel, page 14, he writes a way to solve the problem of anti-Semitism was to speak to the head priest of Vienna to get an appointment with the Pope, to make a mass conversion of all the Jews of Austria to Catholicism. He continues: “It should be done on a Sunday, in the middle of the day, with music, and pride, publicly. We are the last generation that held on to the faith of our for-fathers. The conversion would be in St. Stephen’s Cathedral.”
In the bi-weekly diary, “Temurah”, no.2, pg. 12-13, “I didn’t circumsize my son Hans, and this will bring the Geula closer.”

# Holphany Heartglass, who later became the minister of interior under Ben Gurion writes in 1956 guidelines for the counselors, on how to deal with the Yemenites who came and were religious. “It’s understood that our intention is to bring them to the realization that their faith in hashem is without sense, etc…and it does not have a right to exist.” He writes further: “it’s better to save 10,000 that can build a country, even though we can save a million, but it won’t benefit the country. We have to let them go and not to save those who are not Zionists, we causes demoralizatoin and not to save the harmful element.”
# A former Sachnut worker, Yigal ben dovid, witness and testifies: “a special agent from the Zionists in the land of Israel came to Europe to see that only their people were saved. # Uri Avnari, present Israeli journalist, went through all the writings of Hertzel, and he brings down that Hertzel endorsed “mass intermarriage”, was against democracy, but rather a republic, where a prince is elected for life, and he appoints the government. # Hertzel was not a good father, did not have a close relationship with his children, or anyone, except his mother (his son Hanz committed suicide). His daughter Polina died from drugs in those years. His daughter, Trudy, went out of her mind. His only grandchild jumped off the Washington bridge, suicide. Nothing is left from Hertzel. His daughters were sent to learn by the Christians, Hertzel was haughty, filthy, hated himself and his Jewishness. This is all written by an American reporter by the name of Powell.

Statement issued by the British government in 1917, which is often seen as the initiation of the process leading to the establishment of the State of Israel.
Issuing of the statement is believed to have been motivated just as much by British interests, as by the sympathy for the Zionist cause. At the eve of the World War I Britain needed the support from the World Jewry, which had been neutral, and which represented a large part of the population of Germany and Austria-Hungary. The declaration was drafted with the help of US President, Woodrow Wilson, who was a strong supporter of Zionism.
Secondly, Britain saw the need to protect the sea route to India, which passed through the Suez Canal, upon which much of Britain’s economy relied. In accordance with the spirit of the time which emphasized the “self-determination of small nations”, supporting Zionism would be the easiest way to secure lasting British influence in the region east of the Canal, especially because the Levant had been Ottoman until 1917.
Lord Rothschild, to whom the following letter was addressed, was a leading British Zionist.

Quigley also alluded to the dark machinations surrounding the piece of paper supposedly coming from the office of the British Foreign Secretary and former Prime Minister Arthur James Balfour: the infamous “Balfour Declaration” the Zionist Mandate for Palestine:

It has been used as an “international charter” by the Zionist Movement as a pretext and justification for its colonisation of ancient Arab lands by an alien people calling themselves “the Jews.” And, gentle reader, that was the sole intention of its authors: the agentur of the Dark Empire of the Secret Societies.
It is the way of the world that the bulk of people fall hook line and sinker for the lies vouchsafed to them by the Power Elite as “history.” Hence, on the weighty matter of the establishment of the Zionist State of Israel on ancient Arab lands the Power Elite foist the lie upon world opinion that Arthur James Balfour made this public declaration of British policy almost by himself. That one man had took it upon himself to gift to “the Jews” a “National home” on ancient Arab lands. But the Proper Student of History understands that what is passed off as official history is invariably a smoke screen for the powerbrokers making their power moves. And so too with the events surrounding the “Balfour Declaration.”
Most investigators of the conspiracy to establish the Zionist State of Israel on ancient Arab lands stop at the point when they discover that Arthur James Balfour was a scion of the Cecil family and was a leading force in The Cecil Bloc. They do not, for various reasons, look further into the man and see that his youthful enthusiasm for secret societies, spiritualism and psychical research hint at his inner private life: that of an occultist, a leader in the Nineteenth Century Occult Revival, of a One World Schemer instrumental in the first League of Nations, and a very efficient agentur of the Illuminati.
In his early years, Balfour was a friend of two men, the Jesuit agents Westcott and Hort, who fundamentally changed the English Bible. He was also a member of Hort’s secret society called the “Apostles,” Westcott’s secret society called “Eranus” as well as president of The Society for Psychical Research. Hence, his entry in The Dictionary of National Biography quoting him saying that he wanted to “bring metaphysics back” and cites his love for contacting “the dead” and “in our power to communicate with them.” Moreover, like any man aspiring to political power in Britain he was perforce a Freemason.
The infamous document, the “brief statement of less than eleven lines,” which condemned the Middle East to perpetual torment was a devilishly conceived device operating upon four levels. They are:
* Practical politics: delivering America on the British side guaranteeing victory over Imperial Germany in the First World War
* Pay-back: repaying the Zionist intriguers who manoeuvred America into the war on Britain’s side
* Romantic and sentimental religion: giving back to “the Jews” their “ancient homeland”: for, after all, ask Christian Zionists and others of their ilk, in all these years since the destruction of the Temple by the Romans was it not the case that Palestine was “a country without a people” and “the Jews” still “a people without a country”?
* Judaeo-Freemasonry: the establishment of a Zionist State on ancient Arab lands founded on Freemasonic principles not only inflicted a running sore upon the world but also a festering enmity that would be used to precipitate the long-planned Third World War that would finally establish the Luciferian New World Order.

The Zionist War on Nazi Germany
Most people are not aware that in March, 1933, long before Hitler became the undisputed leader of Germany and began restricting the rights of German Jews, the American Jewish Congress announced a massive protest at Madison Square Garden and called for an American boycott of German goods.

The Daily Express (London) published an article on March 24, 1933 announcing that the Jews had already launched their boycott against Germany and described a forthcoming “holy war”. The Express urged Jews everywhere to boycott German goods and demonstrate against German economic interests.
The Express said that Germany was “now confronted with an international boycott of its trade, its finances, and its industry….In London, New York, Paris and Warsaw, Jewish businessmen are united to go on an economic crusade.”
The article went on, “worldwide preparations are being made to organize protest demonstrations.”
On March 27, 1933 the planned protest at Madison Square Garden was attended by 40,000 protestors (New York Daily News headlines: “40,000 Roar Protest Here Against Hitler”).
Similar rallies and protest marches were also held in other cities. The intensity of the Jewish campaign against Germany was such that the Hitler government vowed that if the campaign did not stop there would be a one-day boycott in Germany of Jewish-owned stores.
Hitler’s March 28, 1933 speech ordering a boycott against Jewish stores and goods was in direct response to the declaration of war on Germany by the worldwide Jewish leadership.
That same spring of 1933 there began a period of private cooperation between the German government and the Zionist movement in Germany and worldwide to increase the flow of German-Jewish immigrants and capital to Palestine.
Growing anti-Semitism in Germany and by the German government in response to the boycott played into the hands of the Zionist leaders. Prior to the escalation of anti-Semitism as a result of the boycott the majority of German Jews had little sympathy for the Zionist cause of promoting the immigration of world Jewry to Palestine. Making the situation in Germany as uncomfortable for the Jews as possible, in cooperation with German National Socialism, was part of the Zionist plan to achieve their goal of populating Palestine with a Jewish majority.
“For all intents and purposes, the National Socialist government was the best thing to happen to Zionism in its history, for it “proved” to many Jews that Europeans were irredeemably anti-Jewish and that Palestine was the only answer: Zionism came to represent the overwhelming mjaority of Jews solely by trickery and cooperation with Adolf Hitler.” [1]

It’s no secret that Zionism embraced political expediency to advance the cause of carving Eretz-Israel from the land of its native inhabitants. In his 1983 book, Zionism in the Age of the Dictators, Lenni Brenner shows that 20th century Zionists observed shockingly few limits to that expediency. Not surprisingly, the book received little coverage in the American media. Now, in 51 Documents, Brenner has compiled a wide variety of letters, statements, articles, and judgements-some of which appeared in his earlier book-by a broad array of activists and authors, that documents Zionist cooperation with the Nazis. On the face of it, the notion seems absurd. However, Brenner presents the case-made in many Zionists’ own words-that the Nazi agenda of expelling the Jews from Germany fit nicely with the Zionist plan for enticing those Jews into settling in Palestine and creating a new Jewish nation
51 Documents assumes a certain knowledge of Zionist history, and requires a close reading and some deconstructive efforts on the part of the reader. Those willing to commit the time and effort, however, are rewarded with some stunning revelations. The reason some Zionists eschewed the boycott against Hitler’s Germany, for instance, is that they had a financial deal-Ha’avara-with Germany allowing Jews to exchange their wealth for goods to be exported to Palestine at less of a loss, as an incentive to emigrate. Those wondering why Zionists today are so organized and experienced in their public relations efforts discover that these battles have been fought before. Moreover, the section on Nazi and Zionist understandings of “nationality” versus citizenship reveals how German and Israeli practices are based on the same concept.
51 Documents also sheds a whole new light on the term “Holocaust guilt,” frequently understood to mean Western, non-Jewish guilt for not acting against the Holocaust earlier. However, these documents make it clear that Holocaust guilt began with those Zionists who made the undoubtedly difficult, but politically expedient choice to place Eretz-Israel at the top of their priorities, above the lives of their threatened European brethren.
However difficult it may be, the reader must confront some rather disturbing conclusions. The most unsettling realization for this reviewer is that pre-Holocaust Zionists were able to politically align themselves with the Nazis because both groups fundamentally saw race as an important dividing line-and, moreover, were determined to keep it that way. From Vladimir Jabotinsky to Albert Einstein, “assimilation” of Jews into the societies in which they lived was not an acceptable option. Rather, Jewish nationalism required equality on a national level, not a personal one. As Jabotinsky explained, “It is impossible for a man to become assimilated with people whose blood is different from his own” (p. 10); in Einstein’s words, “Palestine is first and foremost not a refuge for East European Jews, but the incarnation of a reawakening sense of national solidarity” (p. 29). Finally, David Yisraeli, a member of the Stern Gang, wrote the following in late 1940, as part of a proposal to Hitler. It was delivered in 1941 to two German diplomats in Lebanon.
3. The establishment of the historic Jewish state on a national and totalitarian basis, bound by a treaty with the German Reich, would be in the interest of a maintained and strengthened future German position of power in the Near East (p. 301).
Such beliefs, of course, were not limited to Nazis and Zionists. Scientific and philosophical constructs of the day considered such differentiation legitimate, and ideas of racial difference-and, therefore, racial supremacy-were practiced around the world.
Another disturbing conclusion a reader must inevitably face is that Zionists learned both tactical and political lessons from the Nazis and that, even today, these lessons are applied to further the Zionist cause. Although most likely known to potential readers of this book, another disturbing element is the cover-up of the less than savory roles of current Israeli leaders, including former prime ministers, in the terrorist Irgun and Stern Gang just before, during, and after the Holocaust. Likewise, the succumbing of various U.S. officials to Zionist pressure is a familiar, but distressing, story.
51 Documents seems to represent a renewed attempt by Brenner to bring information regarding Zionist collaboration with the Nazis to U.S. supporters of Israel, as well as to Jews and Muslims, in order to expand dialogue with knowledge, and save lives-both Palestinian and Israeli-in the process. Readers of 51 Documents will find it difficult not to remove the rose colored glasses that so many seem to wear when examining Zionism.
Here’s Lenni Brenner who:
related how Kurt Tuchler, a member of the German Zionist Federation Executive, “persuaded Baron Leopold Itz Edler von Mildenstein of the SS to write a pro-Zionist piece for the Nazi press. The Baron agreed on the condition that he visited Palestine first, and two months after Hitler came to power the two men and their wives went to Palestine; von Mildenstein stayed there for six months before he returned….Von Mildenstein… wrote favorably about what he saw in the Zionist colonies in Palestine; he also persuaded Goebbels to run the report as a massive twelve-part series in his own Der Angriff (The Assault), the leading Nazi propaganda organ (9/26-10/9/34)…. To commemorate the Baron’s expedition, Goebbels had a medal struck: on one side the swastika, on the other the Zionist star.”

Theodor Herzl (1860-1904), the founder of modern Zionism, recognized that anti-Semitism would further his cause, the creation of a separate state for Jews. To solve the Jewish Question, he maintained “we must, above all, make it an international political issue.”[1]Herzl wrote that Zionism offered the world a welcome “final solution of the Jewish question.”[2]In his “Diaries”, page 19, Herzl stated “Anti-Semites will become our surest friends, anti-Semitic countries our allies.”

Zionist Collaboration
with the Nazis
Zionism was supported by the German SS and Gestapo.[3] [4] [5] [6] Hitler himself personally supported Zionism.[7] [8] During the 1930’s, in cooperation with the German authorities, Zionist groups organized a network of some 40 camps throughout Germany where prospective settlers were trained for their new lives in Palestine. As late as 1942 Zionists operated at least one of these officially authorized “Kibbutz” training camps[9] over which flew the blue and white banner which would one day be adopted as the national flag of “Israel”.[10]
The Transfer Agreement (which promoted the emigration of German Jews to Palestine) implemented in 1933 and abandoned at the beginning of WWII is an important example of the cooperation between Hitler’s Germany and international Zionism. [11] Through this agreement, Hitler’s Third Reich did more than any other government during the 1930’s to support Jewish development in Palestine and further the Zionist goals.
Hitler and the Zionists had a common goal: to create a world Jewish Ghetto as a solution to the Jewish Question.
The Transfer Agreement
The Zionist so-called “World Jewish Congress” declared war on the country of Germany,[12] [13] knowing that it would affect their Jewish brothers residing in that country who would be left without protection. When others tried to help them escape to other countries, the Zionist movement took actions which caused those countries to lock their doors to Jewish immigration (read more in the books, “Perfidy” and “Min Hametzer”). As a result of the Zionist influence five ships of Jewish refugees from Germany arriving in the United States were turned back to the gas chambers.
The fundamental aim of the Zionist movement has been not to save Jewish lives but to create a “Jewish state” in Palestine.
On December 7, 1938, Ben Gurion, the first head of the Zionist ‘state of Israel’ declared “If I knew it was possible to save all the children in Germany by taking them to England, and only half of the children by taking them to Eretz Israel, I would choose the second solution. For we must take into account not only the lives of these children but also the history of the people of Israel.”[14]
On August 31, 1949, Ben Gurion stated: “Although we have realized our dream of creating a Jewish State, we are only at the beginning. There are still only 900,000 Jews in Israel, whereas the majority of the Jewish people still remains abroad. Our future task is to bring all the Jews to Israel.”
Of the two and a half million Jews seeking refuge from the Nazis between 1935 and 1943, less than 9% went to settle in Palestine. The vast majority, 75%, went to the Soviet Union. In the mid-70’s, more people emigrated out of ‘Israel’ than came in. The only surges of immigration to the Zionist state have occurred during anti-Semitic threats and persecution in foreign countries.[15]
It follows that for the Zionist state to achieve its goal of a Jewish world ghetto anti-Semitism must be promoted and encouraged, and as we have seen, by acts of violence if necessary.
“To attain its practical objectives, Zionism hopes it will be able to collaborate with a government that is fundamentally hostile to the Jews”.[16]
The use of anti-Semitism as a tool to coerce immigration to the Zionist state continues to the present day:
Prime Minister Sharon has stated that anti-Semitism is on the rise and that the only hope for the safety of Jews is to move to Israel under the protection of the Zionist state. “The best solution to anti-Semitism is immigration to Israel. It is the only place on Earth where Jews can live as Jews,” he said.[17]
Those who continue to call the so-called “state of Israel” the “Jewish State” are not only promoting Zionism which is contrary to the beliefs of true Judaism, but also endorsing the promotion of worldwide anti-Semitism. In doing so they are endangering the lives of traditional Jews and denying their civil liberties and human rights.
When the British foreign secretary, Arthur Balfour (sponsor of the 1905 Aliens Act to restrict Jewish immigration to the UK), wanted the British government to commit itself to a Jewish homeland in Palestine, his declaration was delayed – not by anti-Semites but by leading figures in the British Jewish community. They included a Jewish member of the cabinet who called Balfour’s pro-Zionism “anti-Semitic in result”. In contrast, a great statesman like Secretary of State Colin Powell, a supporter of traditional Judaism, has the courage to separate Judaism from Zionism and to acknowledge that speaking out against the actions of the Zionist state is not “anti-Semitism”.
We call upon our leaders in Washington to disassociate the actions of the Zionist state from traditional Judaism by no longer referring to “Israel” as the “Jewish State” but as “the Zionist State” and to speak out against the Zionist actions which promote anti-Semitism.

Baron Edmond James (Avrahim Binyamin) de Rothschild (1845-1934) is the known as the “Father of the Settlement” (Avi ha-Yishuv). The Independence Day coin 1982/5742 is dedicated to the memory of Edmond de Rothschild and marks the centenary of his first projects in Israel.

Born in Paris, Edmond de Rothschild did not enter the family banking empire, but devoted himself instead to art and culture. In 1877, he married Adelaide, the daughter of Wilhelm Karl Rothschild. His most outstanding achievements were involved in responding to the threats facing the Jewish people in Europe in the late 19th century by supporting massive land purchases and underwriting Jewish settlement in Eretz Yisrael.
Although he visited Eretz Yisrael numerous times, his home was in Paris. His generosity and interest in Jewish settlement in Eretz Yisrael completely changed the possibilities for Jews. During his lifetime, his work on behalf of the yishuv was highly praised by Zionist leaders representing the entire spectrum of opinion. In recognition of his work, he was named honorary president of the Jewish Agency in 1929.
He died in Paris in 1934. In 1954 his remains and those of his wife were brought to Ramat HaNadiv in Zikhron Ya’akov.
Edmond de Rothschild first became involved in Jewish affairs after the pogroms in Russia in the 1880s. Almost immediately, he also became interested in settlers in Eretz Yisrael. When early settlements faced financial ruin, Rothschild was approached by Rabbi Samuel Mohilever and the leaders of Rishon LeZion. He lent his assistance to both Rishon LeZion and Zikhron Ya’akov and then helped found Ekron. An early supporter of quiet settlement initiatives, after World War I, he joined the political activity of the Zionist Organization by aiding Chaim Weizmann and Nahum Sokolow.
Before 1900, Rothschild’s visits to Eretz Yisrael were largely meant as settlement tours. He became known as the “Father of the Yishuv” because of his full and partial involvement in so many young settlements. In the 1890s, he clashed with Theodore Herzl on the interpretation of political Zionism. In the early 1900s he had a similar disagreement with Ahad Ha’am and members of the Hovevei Zion. The result was a group of 12 settlements under the auspices of Rothschild’s Jewish Colonization Association (ICA).
By 1914, Rothschild was able to visit expanded settlements as well as a number of his major and minor investments. He was also growing closer to the Zionist Organization.
This cooperation increased during World War I as preparations were made for the Balfour Declaration. Toward the end of the war, his son, James, arrived in Eretz Yisrael with the British army and was among the recruiters for the Jewish battalions in the yishuv. In 1923, James took the helm of the newly-organized Palestine Jewish Colonization Association (PICA). Its first settlement was Binyamina (his father’s Hebrew name was Avraham Binyamin). By 1925, the Rothschild name had become synonymous with settlement activity which included cultural, spiritual and political features. His work was recognized and praised everywhere in the yishuv and among the members of the Zionist Organization.
Rothschild became honorary president of the expanded Jewish Agency in 1929. When he died in Paris in 1934, he left a legacy which included the reclamation of nearly 500,000 dunams of land and almost 30 settlements.
Anka Muhlstein wrote in her book Baron James: The Rise of the French Rothschilds,
“The success of the five brothers, who seemed to share Europe among themselves without ever dividing their forces, fired the imagination. The best writers of the time gave credence to the notion of the all-powerful bankers. ‘The Jewish banker says: ‘[God] has given me the royalty of wealth and the understanding of opulence, which is the scepter of society. . . . ‘A Jew now reigns over the Pope and Christianity. He pays monarchs and buys nations,’ stated Alfred de Vigny.12 Jewish polemists joined in and declared: ‘There is only one power in Europe, and that is Rothschild. . . and speculation is his sword. . . . Rothschild needed states in order to become Rothschild. . . . However, today he no longer needs the state, but the state needs him.’13 Heine put it more humorously, recalling olden times when the King would have had the teeth of M. de Rothschild pulled out had he refused a loan. Today, ‘Rothschild, Baron and Knight of the Order of Isabella the Catholic, may stroll over to the Tuileries whenever it strikes his fancy, without fear of losing even one tooth to a cash-hungry King.’14 Metternich’s spies took the same line and in their reports feigned surprise at the presence in James’ office of General Rumigny, whom Louis-Philippe had put in charge of everything related to the Bourse. Rothschild, wrote a certain Klindworth to Count Apponyi, the Austrian Ambassador, ‘places in each ministry, in every department at all levels, his own creatures who feed him the greatest variety of information.’15
While the European press devoted long articles to the Rothschild triumphs, American newspapers, often influenced by a group of German Jews to whom the image of an all-powerful Court Jew was familiar, portrayed Rothschild as fabulous and fantastical: ‘The Rothschilds govern a Christian world. Not a cabinet moves without their advice. They stretch their hand, with equal ease, from Petersburg to Vienna, from Vienna to Paris, from Paris to London, from London to Washington. Baron Rothschild, the head of the house, is the true king of Judah, the prince of the captivity, the Messiah so long looked for by this extraordinary people. . . . The lion of the tribe of Judah, Baron Rothschild, possesses more real force than David—more wisdom than Solomon.’16 Even the wildest rumors came to seem credible. In 1830 an American weekly reported on its front page that the Rothschilds had purchased Jerusalem: ‘We see nothing improbable that in the pecuniary distress of the sultan, he should sell some parts of his dominions to preserve the rest; or that the Rothschilds should purchase the old capital of their nation. They are wealthy beyond desire, perhaps even avarice; and so situated, it is quite reasonable to suppose that they may seek something else to gratify their ambition, that shall produce most important effects. If secured in the possession, which may be brought about by money, they might instantly, as it were, gather a large nation together, soon to become capable of defending itself, and having a wonderful influence over the commerce and condition of the east—rendering Judah again the place of deposit of a large portion of the wealth of the ‘ancient world.’ To the sultan the country is of no great value; but, in the hands of the Jews, directed by such men as the Rothschilds, what might it not become, and in a short period of time?’17″—A.
