“Biblical ‘peace’ (Hebrew: Shalom שָׁלוֹם / Greek: Eirēnē εἰρήνη) is far more than the absence of conflict. It means wholeness, completeness, well-being, and harmony with God. True peace is a gift from the Prince of Peace — reconciliation with God that brings inner rest, right relationships, and order to life. ‘And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus’ (Philippians 4:7).”

There is no peace unto the wicked

Isa 48:22 There is no peace, saith the LORD, unto the wicked.

Why? They have forsaken His Word

Psa 119:53 Horror hath taken hold upon me because of the wicked that forsake thy law.

Psa 119:155 Salvation {H3444} is far from the wicked: for they seek not thy statutes.

Seek Peace w/ others

Rom 12:18 If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men.

This is the keeping of the Torah

Gal 5:14 For the whole Law is fulfilled in one word, in this: “You shall love your neighbor as yourself.” Lev. 19:18

Mat 5:9 Blessed are the peacemakers! For they shall be called sons of God.

Peace comes from the Hebrew word שלם ‘shalom’ which means completeness or wholeness through restoration or making something right through payment. There is NO PEACE without forgiveness through Messiah. When people say shalom what they are literally saying (although they may not know it) is “may you be made complete through restitution of Messiah unto the Father.”
