The Iowa caucus is today (1/3/12) which will begin the voting for the Presidential nomination in the Republican party against the incumbent President Barack Obama.
To vote in Hebrew is בחר ‘bachar’ which means to choose or elect. The noun ‘vote’ is used to translate three Hebrew words קול ‘qol’ which means voice, דעה ‘deah’ which means to know and הצבעה ‘hatseba’ah’ which has the meaning of dipping of the finger into dye to color something. All of these words have fascinating connections to Messiah.

Being born again=chosen/elect. We are born again by the Word being implanted into our hearts and watered until it brings forth life, fruit.
1Pe 2:9 But you are “an elect race,” “a royal priesthood,” “a holy nation,” “a people for possession,” so that “you may openly speak of the virtues” of the One who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;
Elect/chosen comes from the Greek word ἐκλεκτός ‘eklektos’ which traces back to the words ἐκ ‘ek’ meaning out from and λέγω ‘lego’ meaning a word. “From the Word”.
Notice the connection in 1 Peter 2:9 to the priesthood. It is interesting to note that the English word ‘government’ comes from the Hebrew word כון ‘kun’ which means to direct or put in the right place and is pictured by a pillar. The Hebrew word for priest כהן ‘kahan’ comes from this root as the priests were ‘pillars’ of the community who were to direct people in the right direction via the Word. This is the duty of elected representatives in American government. To direct the people via the ‘word’ ie the Constitution.
Faith in Messiah is what makes us chosen
Gal 3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.
Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
Gal 3:29 And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.
The Promise with Abraham’s seed
Eph 2:19 Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellowcitizens with the saints, and of the household of God;
Act 13:26 Men and brethren, children of the stock of Abraham, and whosoever among you feareth God, to you is the word of this salvation sent.
The English word for faith is traces back to the Hebrew word בטח ‘batach’ which is also one of the sources of the English word ‘vote.’ בטח ‘batach’ means to cling to someone or something. It is pictured in the natural realm in a melon which clings to the vine.
Joh 15:1 I am the True Vine, and My Father is the Vinedresser.
Joh 15:2 Every branch in Me not bearing fruit, He takes it away; and each one bearing fruit, He prunes, so that it may bear more fruit.

It is interesting to note that being born again is likened unto being grafted into this vine.

The Nazarenes/Christians are from the tree of Israel, but a different sprout
Job 14:7 For there is hope of a tree, if it is cut down, that it will sprout (חלף ‘chalaph’) again, and its shoot will not cease.
Job 14:8 Though its root becomes old in the earth, and its stump dies in the dust,
Job 14:9 at the scent of water it will bud and bring forth branches like a plant.
Isa 11:1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
The word for branch here is נצר ‘netser’ …the meaning of the word נצר ‘netser’ is one who watches over or guards in order to preserve. This is what believers in Jesus are. They are His watchmen, whose purpose is to preserve Israel (Isaiah 49:6).
The Olive tree of Israel was cut down/died. It was ‘born again’ through Messiah Jesus.
Jer 11:16 The LORD called thy name, A green olive tree, fair, and of goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he hath kindled fire upon it, and the branches of it are broken.
Jer 11:17 For the LORD of hosts, that planted thee, hath pronounced evil against thee, for the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have done against themselves to provoke me to anger in offering incense unto Baal.

The noun ‘vote’ is used to translate three Hebrew words one of which is קול ‘qol.’ קול ‘qol’ means voice, literally the voice of the Shepherd.
The English word ‘republic’ which is the form of government of United States of America, not democracy as is commonly espoused comes from the French word ‘republique’ which traces back to the Latin word ‘republica’ which literally means ‘res’ affair or matter and ‘publica’ meaning the people. This is represented in the Hebrew as קהל ‘qahal’ which means an assembly of people from the root קל ‘qol.’
Joh 10:16 And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.
Christ unifies His flock by the Word. It is amazing to note that the English word ‘constitution’ which represents the Word in the natural realm of American government comes from the Hebrew word כנס ‘kanas’ which means a gathering of people into one place.
The word for correct כון ‘kun’ in Hebrew means established. It is pictured in the natural realm in the pillar of a house or root of a plant.
This is strongly linked to faith אמונה ‘emunah’ & truth אמת ‘emet’ and אב ‘av’ meaning father.
The word for priest, כהן ‘kohen,’ and community/congregation כנס ‘kanas’ comes from כן ‘kan’ meaning correct. Ephesians 4:13 states that the unity of faith comes through the full knowledge of Messiah. The Greek word for ‘full knowledge’ is ἐπιγνωσις ‘epignōsis’ which means precise and correct knowledge.
The second word translated into ‘vote’ is דעה ‘deah’ means to know. It pictographically means to ‘see the door.’ Who is the door? Messiah (John 10:7), again linking to John 10 and the choice of whose voice men will choose.
The word science means knowledge. Today the word science connotes the idea of the study of nature. All of science points to Messiah Jesus, the tree of Life. Everything we experience in our existence is a shadow picture of Him
In Hebrew, the word for nature is טבע ‘teva’:
This word pictographically can represent ‘to see, good’. The letter ע-ayin is a pictograph of the eye which means to see and the letters ט-tet ב-bet spell טב ‘tov’ which means good.

This is interesting to note as the English word ‘vote’ traces back to the Hebrew word/letter ב ‘bet.’
The English word ‘vote’ traces back to the Hebrew word בית ‘bayit’ which means a house. There are two ‘houses’ or parties in the political system of America which is no surprise as Israel was divided into two houses (Israel/Ephraim & Judah).
American history is strongly linked to Israel and the political system is strongly linked to the Scriptures. It is interesting to note that Jews in America are predominantly Liberal Democrats and Christians tend to be Conservative Republicans.
כנס ‘kanas’ is also seen in the gathering of waters into one place which is also the meaning of the Hebrew word(s) for baptism which is a picture of being born again. Recall that being born again is equivalent with being chosen or ‘voted.’
Psa 33:7 The waters of the sea were gathered (כנס ‘kanas’) like a heap, setting the depths in storehouses.
1Co 12:12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
1Co 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.

This links into the third word for vote הצבעה ‘hatseba’ah’ which has the meaning of dipping of the finger into dye to color something.
The word for color in Hebrew is צבע ‘tseva’ which has a similar meaning as טבל ‘tebel,’ which means to baptise. צבע ‘tseva’ means to dip the finger (especially in blood) to color something.
Biblically, race is not defined by color. Race is defined by what nature you are. You are either in Christ or you are not. You are either for Him or against Him. You are either the seed of the woman or the seed of the serpent. As seen above, the word for color in Hebrew has the same meaning as being baptized and becoming anew. You are either sprinkled by the blood of Messiah (Isaiah 52:15; Hebrew 10:22) or you are still covered in the garments of sinful flesh.

נצר ‘netser’ is the origin of the name ‘Christian’.
The following prophecy is speaking of the Messiah and the 7 Spirits which rest upon Him (Revelation 4:5; 5:6), corresponding to the 7 Branches of the Menorah.
Isa 11:2 And the Spirit of Jehovah shall rest on Him; He will have the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and power, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Jehovah.

The other root spoken of in Scripture is the root of the serpent
Isa 14:29 Do not rejoice, O Philistia, all of you, for the rod of your striking is broken, because a viper comes forth from the root of a snake, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.
Notice that from the root of a snake comes for the fruit of a serpent. Above, from the root of Jesse comes forth the fruit of the Spirit. This is the true meaning of race. The seed of the woman or the seed of the serpent. Ye shall know them by their fruits.
The English word ‘caucus’ traces back to the Algonquian dialect and the word ‘caucauasu’ which means a counselor, advisor or elder. In Hebrew this is the word עצה ‘etsah’ which comes fromt the root עץ meaning a tree. Which tree is the politician one with? What fruit is he offering? The fruit of the Tree of Life which is the Word, represented in the natural as the Constitution or the fruit of the tree of knowledge where man decides what is right or wrong represented in the natural as un-constitutional legislation such as the Patriot Act and the NDAA {National Defense Authorization Act}.

This Hebrew word links both sheep (fleece) and grass. Again, it is only by the fruit (words and actions) that you can know what is within.
It is interesting to note that the priesthood of believers is described as the נצרים ‘netsarim’ which literally means watchmen. What do unfaithful corrupt watchmen do? They fleece the sheep.
Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind; they all do not know; they are all dumb dogs; they cannot bark, dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber {It is interesting to note that the word Iowa comes from an Indian word meaning ‘sleepy ones.’ In years past, the mainstream media and politicians have touted the Iowa caucus as one of the most important and pivotal parts of the election process but this year it is being made into an insignificant event. Why? Because Ron Paul, who represents the watchmen who preach the Word, is waking people up to the truth. He is not of the ‘sleeping ones.’}
Isa 56:11 yea, dogs greedy of soul; they do not know satisfaction. And they are shepherds; they do not know to discern; they all look to their own way, each one for his own gain, from his own end, saying:

One of the words for grass is לח ‘lach’ which further connects this concept of birth & resurrection. Specifically, this is referring to fresh green grass.
This word is translated as green/moist but also as ‘natural force’ as seen in Deuteronomy 34:7
Deu 34:7 And Moses was a son of a hundred and twenty years at his death; his eye had not become dim, nor had his natural force abated.
As seen in the study on Nature, this natural force (לח ‘lach’) is related to the nature (φύσις ‘phusis’) of Messiah. This again connects to the above concept of race in that the word for race above is the Greek word γένος ‘genos’ which means kind/nature. The Hebrew word for nature is טבע ‘teva,’ which traces back to the root word טב ‘tov.’

The word in Hebrew for tablet is לוח ‘luach’ which comes from the above word לח ‘lach’.
Exo 31:18 And when He finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, He gave to Moses the two tablets (לוח ‘luach’) of the testimony, tablets of stone, written by the finger of God.
The word for finger is from the root for the word ‘color’ as seen above, once again linking this to baptism & resurrection. Recall that the hawk (as in the Iowa Hawkeyes) is linked to the finger via the ‘spectral fingerprint.’
