Days of Noah

Mat 24:37  But as the days of Noah, so also will be the coming of the Son of Man.
Mat 24:38  For as they were in the days before the flood: eating, and drinking, marrying, and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah went into the ark.
Mat 24:39  And they did not know until the flood came and took all away. So also will be the coming of the Son of Man.

Luk 17:26  And as it was in the days of Noah, so also it will be in the days of the Son of Man.
Luk 17:27  They were eating, drinking, marrying, giving in marriage, until the day Noah went into the ark. And the flood came and destroyed all.
Luk 17:28  And likewise, as it was in the days of Lot, they were eating, drinking, buying, selling, planting, building;
Luk 17:29  but on the day Lot went out from Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from the heaven and destroyed all.
Luk 17:30  According to those things, it will be in the day the Son of Man is revealed.

The above Scriptures indicate that the world system is going to continue up until the day Messiah returns and it will all come to an end in the blink of an eye.

The above Scriptures also indicate that the days of Noah, the days of Lot are the main reference points to understanding the times before the return of the Messiah through the Scriptures.  The other main reference to look at is the Egyptian Exodus (Mic 7:15; Jer 16:14; 23:7).  The greater Exodus will be discussed in a future study, Yah willing.

Jude connects the days of Noah and the days of Lot via the fallen angels.

Jud 1:6  And those angels not having kept their first place, but having deserted their dwelling-place, He has kept in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of a great Day;
Jud 1:7  as (Ara. just as…connecting sins of angels with Sodom an Gomorroah) Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them, in like manner to these, committing fornication, and going away after other flesh, laid down an example before-times, undergoing vengeance of everlasting fire.

What occurred in the Days of Noach?

• Not helping poor and needy, idleness, pride, fullness of bread

Population Increase

In the writings of the Sumerians it is said that “the Flood was sent by the ‘gods’ in order to reduce overpopulation, a situation which as been compared with an early Greek poem, the Cypria (loosely attributed to Homer in antiquity and known mainly from allusions and quotations), in which Zeus planned to reduce overpopulation by war.  The Flood is also important for Mesopotamian tradition because it marks the end of the period when true sages lived on earth and brought to mankind the arts of civilization from the gods.” Myths from Mesopotamia pg 5

Gen 6:1  And it came about that men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born to them.

Corruption of the earth

Rev 11:18  And the nations were full of wrath; and Your wrath came, and the time of the judging of the dead, and to give the reward to Your slaves, to the prophets, and to the saints, and to the ones fearing Your name, to the small and to the great, and to destroy those destroying the earth.
Gen 6:12  And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

The book of Jasher defines this corruption as mixing of genetics

The biblical definition of corruption is turning away from Torah.

Deu 31:29  For I know that after my death you shall utterly corrupt (shachat shachat) yourselves, and will turn aside from the way which I have commanded you. And evil shall happen to you in the latter end of the days because you shall do evil in the eyes of YHWH, to make Him angry with the work of your hands.

The two hundred angels choose animals on which to perform unnatural acts, including, presumably, humans.

Genesis Rabbah 28:8
Rabbi Azaryah said in Rabbi Y’hudah’s name, ‘All acted corruptly in the generation of the Flood; the dog had intercourse with the wolf, and the fowl with the peacock; hence it is written, for all (flesh) on the earth had corrupted their way (Gen 6:12).’  Rabbi Julian ben Tiberius said in Rabbi Yitzchak’s name, ‘Even the earth debauched itself; wheat was sown and it produced zunim, for the zunim we find now came from the age of the Flood.’

Enoch 9:10 Restore the earth, which the angels have corrupted; and announce life to it, that I may revive it.

Enoch 10:6 Uriel is told to “heal the earth which the angels have corrupted, and proclaim the healing of the earth, that they may heal the plague, and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the Watchers have disclosed and have taught their sons.  And the whole earth has been corrupted through the works that were taught by Azazel: to him ascribe all sin.”

So too in the days of Lot there was sexual immorality in abundance.  Even the English word Sodomy comes from Sodom and Gomorrah.

fountain (eye) great deep (abyss) split open, windows(ambush) of heaven were opened. A deeper meaning of Genesis 7:11 and application which matches Revelation is that the abyss will be opened as well as the heavens resulting in destruction and judgment.

“Rabbi Jose says, following a tradition, that these [Nephilim] were Uzza and Azazel, whom, God deprived of their supernal sanctity. How, it may be asked, can they exist in this world? Rabbi Hiya answers, that they were of a class of spirits referred to in the words, ‘and birds which fly on the earth’ (Gen 1:20), and these, as we have said, appear to men in the form of human beings. If it is asked, how can they transform themselves? The answer is, that they do, in fact, transform themselves into all kinds of shapes, because when they come down from heaven they become as concrete as air and take human shape. These are Uzza and Azazel, who rebelled in heaven, and were cast down by God, and became corporeal on the earth and remained on it, not being able to divest themselves of their earthly form.

Tower of Babel

In the book of Jasher, it is written that the people thought to build the tower in order to war against The Lord and ascend into heaven.  1/3 wanted to ascend and fight him, 1/3 wanted to ascend to heaven and place their own gods there and serve them, and 1/3 wanted to ascend to heaven and smite Him with bows and spears…this is reminiscient of the battle of Armageddon spoken of in Revelation 16:16

Abraham was alive during the days of Noah.  According to Jasher 13:9 Abraham was 53 years old when Noah died.  Abraham was 50 years old when he was first called to leave Babylon.  The call to come out of Babylon is thematically connected to Abraham’s call to come out of Mesopotamia.

In the book of Jasher, Abraham is put into a fiery furnace but is not killed, just as Hananiah, Mishael, Azariah.  Therefore, according to ancient tradition…Nimrod=Nebuchadnezzar.  The reason Nebuchadnezzar put the 3 Hebrew men into the fire is because they wouldn’t bow down to an image, just as it is seen in Revelation.

Enoch 15: 9 The spirits of the giants shall be like clouds, N25  which shall oppress, corrupt, fall, content, and bruise upon earth. (25) The Greek word for “clouds” here, nephelas, may disguise a more ancient reading, Napheleim (Nephilim).

Christ Jesus comes riding on the clouds (Malakim/angels/cherbubim)  the adversary comes riding on the clouds (demons)

Iron and Clay kingdom

Dan 2:43  And as you saw the iron mixed with the clay of the clay, they shall be mixed with the seed of men. But they shall not adhere to one another, even as iron does not mix with clay.

The word MIXED in the previous verse is the Hebrew word ARAB..the same word for swarms/locusts…is this a connection to the opening of the bottomless pit in Revelation 9 and the locusts who come forth from it?
The word MIRY is the Aramaic word teet.  The pictograph of this word is two baskets…a reference to the teaching that Fallen Angels/Annunaki created man in clay jars/baskets???

What is the connection between sweeping away and demons?

What is the word for CLAY? Chasaph from the root chaspas=flake-like, scale-like….is this reference to the supposed reptilian “gods” ancestry of the kings, presidents etc. of this world? Seems to be far-fetched but it is interesting that the deeper meaning of miry clay could be ‘men mixed with scale like demons.’

Dan 2:44  And in the days of these kings, the God of Heaven shall set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed. And the kingdom shall not be left to other people. It shall break in pieces and destroy all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

Dan 7:23  And he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom on earth, which shall be different (changed, diverse) from all kingdoms, and shall devour all the earth, and shall trample it down and crush it.

Aliens

There is an interesting allusion to ‘alien greys’ in the book of 3 Enoch.  This is not Scripture, but it was written in ancient times…long before Roswell.

by the hands of two angels of destruction: ZA’APHIEL and SIMKIEL

Another connection to look at is Aleister Crowley.  Crowley was known as the most wicked man on the planet and proclaimed himself as the beast 666.  Crowley stated that he met a being named Aiwass who dictated to him the Book of the Law on April 8-10 1904.

The influence that Crowley has made on our society is staggering, especially popular culture.  Since the 1960’s much of Crowley’s teachings have become mainstream in our society.   In can be summed up in the following:

Plato in Critias also supports this concept, that a group of divine beings in ancient times, “the gods of the nations,” had divided up rule over the earth amongst themselves, a rule that continues today:
In the days of old the gods had the whole earth distributed among them by allotment. There was no quarrelling; for you cannot rightly suppose that the gods did not know what was proper for each of them to have, or, knowing this, that they would seek to procure for themselves by contention that which more properly belonged to others. They all of them by just apportionment obtained what they wanted, and peopled their own districts; and when they had peopled them they tended us, their nurselings and possessions, as shepherds tend their flocks, excepting only that they did not use blows or bodily force, as shepherds do, but governed us like pilots from the stern of the vessel, which is an easy way of guiding animals, holding our souls by the rudder of persuasion according to their own pleasure;-thus did they guide all mortal creatures.

Atlantis

The Beast government of Revelation has many connections to the ‘myths’ about Atlantis.  Looking at the ‘myths’ about Atlantis leads one back to the ‘Golden Age of Saturn’ before the flood.

Rev 13:1  And I stood on the sand of the sea. And I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns, and on his horns ten diadems, and on its heads names of blasphemy.
Rev 11:7  And when they complete their witness, the beast coming up out of the abyss will make war with them, and will overcome them, and will kill them.

Atlantis divided into 10
Point for point the story of Atlantis matches with Moses and Enoch’s accounts of the antediluvian world, and how divine beings had intermarried with humans, giving birth to semi-divine giants. Poseidon is said here to have married a human woman, and her name is even given: Cleito. Cleito bore him 10 sons, and he arranged and populated the island of Atlantis with such florae and faunae that their every need was met.

He also begat and brought up five pairs of twin male children; and dividing the island of Atlantis into ten portions, he gave to the first-born of the eldest pair his mother’s dwelling and the surrounding allotment, which was the largest and best, and made him king over the rest; the others he made princes, and gave them rule over many men, and a large territory. And he named them all; the eldest, who was the first king, he named Atlas, and after him the whole island and the ocean were called Atlantic. To his twin brother, who was born after him, and obtained as his lot the extremity of the island towards the Pillars of Heracles, facing the country which is now called the region of Gades in that part of the world, he gave the name which in the Hellenic language is Eumelus, in the language of the country which is named after him, Gadeirus. Of the second pair of twins he called one Ampheres, and the other Evaemon. To the elder of the third pair of twins he gave the name Mneseus, and Autochthon to the one who followed him. Of the fourth pair of twins he called the elder Elasippus, and the younger Mestor. And of the fifth pair he gave to the elder the name of Azaes, and to the younger that of Diaprepes. All these and their descendants for many generations were the inhabitants and rulers of divers islands in the open sea; and also, as has been already said, they held sway in our direction over the country within the Pillars as far as Egypt and Tyrrhenia.8
Atlas, in the Greek myths, was actually a titan, one of the original deities who ruled over Earth before the Olympic gods (Zeus, Hera, Poseidon, etc.) overthrew them and took supremacy over Earth. The titans of the Greek myths were giants of great stature that ruled over a “golden age” of mankind: “The Golden Age of mankind lived during the rule of Kronos and the Titanes. This race of man was created by Prometheus and lived in peace and harmony, blessed with the fruits of the earth which grew freely in a garden of Eden-like paradise.” However, all was not well in Paradise, as the titans did not share their power freely: “The Titanes were jealous of their privileges and refused to devolve any power to the younger generations of gods. Zeus led these in rebellion and after a violent ten year war the Titanes were overthrown and cast into Tartaros.” Tartaros is the Greek word for “hell” or “abyss”, the same place where the archangels threw the fallen angels after they had intermarried with women and brought such violence and corruption to Earth. (1 Enoch 10:1-16, cf. also 2 Peter 2:5)

So Plato’s account of Atlantis so far matches Moses and Enoch’s descriptions of the antediluvian world point for point: divine beings were given rule over various parts of Earth, and they intermarried with human females, who gave birth to giants. Up to this point, however, the account is different on one important point. In the Critias, Atlantis was a place of earthly paradise, set up by Poseidon to be an ideal place for his progeny to live. However, at the end of the narrative, Plato’s account of the rise of Atlantis then turns to its fall, and our next point of collusion is matched perfectly:

For many generations, as long as the divine nature lasted in them, they were obedient to the laws, and well-affectioned towards the god, whose seed they were; for they possessed true and in every way great spirits, uniting gentleness with wisdom in the various chances of life, and in their intercourse with one another. They despised everything but virtue, caring little for their present state of life, and thinking lightly of the possession of gold and other property, which seemed only a burden to them; neither were they intoxicated by luxury; nor did wealth deprive them of their self-control; but they were sober, and saw clearly that all these goods are increased by virtue and friendship with one another, whereas by too great regard and respect for them, they are lost and friendship with them. By such reflections and by the continuance in them of a divine nature, the qualities which we have described grew and increased among them; but when the divine portion began to fade away, and became diluted too often and too much with the mortal admixture, and the human nature got the upper hand, they then, being unable to bear their fortune, behaved unseemly, and to him who had an eye to see grew visibly debased, for they were losing the fairest of their precious gifts; but to those who had no eye to see the true happiness, they appeared glorious and blessed at the very time when they were full of avarice and unrighteous power.
Just like the Nephilim, the titans grew more and more abased as they continued to intermarry with humans, becoming twisted, abhorrent travesties of their formerly glorious selves. Just as good as they were in the beginning, they became irretrievably evil, with an unbridled lust for power and wealth that led to a mighty thirst for conquest. The “gods” of Atlantis wished to extend their power beyond their divinely mandated boundaries, and thus risked the judgment of God. Their decision to wage war on Europe and Asia in order to dominate the world, causing great corruption and disorder in the process, was an indicator that these deities had gone too far and were in need of chastisement. The final point of collusion in the two accounts, the biblical and the Platonic, now comes to the fore, as Zeus, leader of the Greek gods, convenes a council in heaven and decides to punish the Atlanteans for their unbridled hubris.

An allusion to the kingdom of Atlantis can be seen in the book of Ezekiel when the prophet is speaking of the prince and king of Tyre

Eze 28:2  Son of man, say to the ruler of Tyre, So says the Lord YHWH, Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, in the heart of the seas; yet you are a man, and not God, though you give your heart as the heart of gods.
Eze 28:3  Behold, you are wiser than Daniel. Every one of the secret things are not hidden to you.
Eze 28:4  With your wisdom and with your understanding you have made riches for yourself, and have worked gold and silver into your treasuries.
Eze 28:5  By your great wisdom, by your trade you have multiplied your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches.
Eze 28:6  So the Lord YHWH says this: Because you have given your heart as the heart of gods,
Eze 28:7  behold, so I will bring on you awesome strangers of the nations. And they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom and will defile your splendor.
Eze 28:8  They will cause you to go down to the Pit, and you shall die the deaths of the slain in the heart of the seas.
Eze 28:9  Saying, do you say, I am of the gods before him who strikes you? But you are a man, and not God, in the hands of him who pierces you.
Eze 28:10  You shall die the deaths of the uncircumcised, by the hand of strangers. For I have spoken, says the Lord YHWH.

Eze 28:18  By the host of your iniquities, by the iniquity of your trade, you have defiled your holy places. So I brought a fire from your midst and it shall devour you, and I will give you for ashes on the earth in the sight of all who see you.
Eze 28:19  All who know you among the peoples shall be appalled at you. You shall be terrors, and you will not be forever.

Yam-the Beast from the Sea

In Genesis 36 verse 24 and odd addition of information is given about Anah.  He is said to have found mules (yam) in the wilderness.  The word for mules is yam which is translated in the Targum as terror.  In the book of Jasher chapter 36 verse 29-35 it is told of 120 great and terrible animals that came out from the wilderness at the other side of the sea and came to the place where the mules were.  These animals were in the shape of men from the middle down and in the shape of different beasts from the middle up.  The animals attacked Anah so he fled to the city and related to his sons and brothers what happened to him.

Isa 51:9  Awake! Awake! Arm of YHWH, put on strength. Awake, as in days of old, everlasting generations. Was it not You cutting in pieces Rahab, and

The Rephaim are under the waters writhing until the appointed time of their release {Rev 13:1}

Job 26:5  Dead

“is it possible that the mighty men (or giants) should be created (that is, recreated or regenerated; that is, raised from the dead); seeing they are under the waters, and their armies?”

Antichrist

Dan 11:39  And he shall act in the strongholds of the fortresses with a foreign (strange, alien) god (Eloha), whom he shall acknowledge. He shall multiply in glory, and he shall cause them to rule over many and shall divide the land for a price.

Who is the “them” in the previous verse…the foreign god eloha?

Dan 11:31  And forces will stand away from him, and they will profane the sanctuary, the fortress. And they shall remove the regular sacrifice, and they will place the abomination that desolates.
Dan 11:32  And he will defile by flatteries those who do evil against the covenant. But the people who know their God will be strong and will work.
Dan 11:33  And those who understand among the people will instruct many, yet they will stumble by the sword and by flame, by exile and spoil for days.
Dan 11:34  And when they shall stumble, they will be helped with a little help. But many will join them with hypocrisy.
Dan 11:35  And many of those who understand shall stumble, to refine and to purge them, and to make white to the time of the end. (This seems to indicate that there will be some believers who will be deceived by the antichrist/beast but in the end will see the truth) For it is yet for the appointed time.
Dan 11:36  And the king shall do according to his will. And he shall exalt and magnify himself above every god; he shall even speak marvelous things against the God of gods and shall prosper until the fury is completed. For that which is decreed shall be done.
Dan 11:37  He shall not regard the God of his fathers, nor the desire of women; yea, he will not come to any god. For he shall magnify himself above all.
Dan 11:38  But in his place he shall honor the god of forces (*mahuzzim-angels), and he shall honor a god whom his fathers did not know, with gold and silver and with precious stones, and desirable things.
forces:  or, munitions, Heb. Mauzzim or, gods protectors, Saints and angels, who were invoked as intercessors and protectors, had miracles ascribed to them, their relics worshipped, and their shrines and images adorned with costly offerings.

Dan 11:38 – But in his estate shall he honour the god of forces,…. Or god Mahuzzim (q); departed saints and their images, whom the Papists make their protectors, defenders, and guardians: the word signifies towers, strong holds, fortresses; and by these titles the martyrs, saints departed, are called by the ancient fathers, who first introduced the worship of them: So Basil (r), speaking of the forty martyrs, says,

“these are they, who obtaining our country, like certain towers, afford us a refuge against the incursion of enemies:”

and a little after thus addresses them,

“O ye common keepers of mankind, the best companions of our cares, the suffragans of our prayers and wishes, “most powerful” ambassadors with God, &c.:”

and elsewhere (s) he prays,

“that God would keep the church unmoved, and fortified with the great towers of the martyrs;”

so Chrysostom (t) calls them patrons and protectors. Or, “with God he shall honour” (u); these along with him, or besides him; these shall be the objects of religious worship and honour, as they are: and that “in his estate”; or in his room and stead, that is, of the true God, our Lord Jesus Christ, the only Mediator between God and man; and yet angels and departed saints are set up as mediators in his stead:

The Hebrew word מעוז  mâ‛ôz means, properly, a strong or fortified place, a fortress; and Gesenius (Lexicon) supposes that the reference here is to “the god of fortresses, a deity of the Syrians obtruded upon the Jews, perhaps Mars.”  So also Grotius, C. B. Michaelis, Staudlin, Bertholdt, and Winer. Dereser, Havernick, and Lengerke explain it as referring to the Jupiter Capitolinus that Antiochus had learned to worship by his long residence in Rome, and whose worship he transferred to his own country.
while Hitzig, by changing מָעֻזִּים into יָם מָעֹז, fortress of the sea, thinks that Melkart, or the Phoenician Hercules, is referred to.

Mahuzzim then refers to angels or ‘gods’.

The term “Novus Ordo Seclorum,” A New Order of the Ages, was adapted by Charles Thomson in 1782 who, while designing the Great Seal of the United States, was inspired by a line in Virgil’s Ecologue IV from the first century:

The figure of Lilith first appeared in a class of wind and storm demons or spirits as Lilitu, in Sumer, circa 4000 BC.

The Seductress (4Q184). The first and irrefutable Lilith reference in the Song occurs in 4Q510, fragment 1:
And I, the Instructor, proclaim His glorious splendour so as to frighten and to te[rrify] all the spirits of the destroying angels, spirits of the bastards, demons, Lilith, howlers, and [desert dwellers…] and those which fall upon men without warning to lead them astray from a spirit of understanding and to make their heart and their […] desolate during the present dominion of wickedness and predetermined time of humiliations for the sons of lig[ht], by the guilt of the ages of [those] smitten by iniquity – not for eternal destruction, [bu]t for an era of humiliation for transgression.

Cockatrices

1.a legendary monster with a deadly glance, supposedly hatched by a serpent from the egg of a cock, and commonly represented with the head, legs, and wings of a cock and the body and tail of a serpent. compare basilisk (def. 1).
1.classical mythology. a creature, variously described as a serpent, lizard, or dragon, said to kill by its breath or look.

In the Egyptian Exodus the Targum equates the rod that was turned into a serpent as a basilisk.

1. A fabulous serpent, called a cockatrice, and said to be produced from a cock’s egg brooded by a serpent. The ancients alledged that its hissing would drive away all other serpents, and that its breath and even its look was fatal. Some writers suppose that a real serpent exists under this name.

The word for serpent in Exodus 7 is not the normal word for serpent, the word is tanniym which is usually translated as a dragon

Angels of evil

Angels of evils during the plagues of Exodus.  This lines with the fallen angels of Genesis 6.

Wis 17:4  For neither might the corner that held them keep them from fear: but noises as of waters falling down sounded about them, and sad visions appeared unto them with heavy countenances.
Wis 17:5  No power of the fire might give them light: neither could the bright flames of the stars endure to lighten that horrible night.
Wis 17:6  Only there appeared unto them a fire kindled of itself, very dreadful: for being much terrified, they thought the things which they saw to be worse than the sight they saw not.
Wis 17:8  For they, that promised to drive away terrors and troubles from a sick soul, were sick themselves of fear, worthy to be laughed at.
Wis 17:9  For though no terrible thing did fear them; yet being scared with beasts that passed by, and hissing of serpents,
Wis 17:10  They died for fear, denying that they saw the air, which could of no side be avoided.

Exodus 8:21
Exo 8:21  Else, if thou wilt not let my people go, behold, I will send swarms of flies upon thee, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people, and into thy houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shall be full of swarms of flies, and also the ground whereon they are.
Swarms=arob=mixed as in Daniel 2:43…Targum renders the word WILD BEASTS…

Tribulation

Psalm 91 is teaching about the tribulation.

Psa 91:1  He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide in the shade of the Almighty.
Psa 91:2  I will say to YHWH: My Refuge and my Fortress, my God; I will trust in Him.
Psa 91:3  For He delivers you from the fowler’s snare, from destruction’s plague.
Psa 91:4  With His feathers He will cover you, and under His wings you shall seek refuge {This is referring back to the Egyptian Exodus and the greater Exodus spoken of in Revelation 12 both of which allude to the fallen angel deception}; His truth is a shield and buckler.

Deu 32:10  He found him in a desert land, and in the waste, a howling wilderness. He encircled him and cared for him; He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.
Deu 32:11  As the eagle stirs up its nest; it hovers over its young; it spreads out its wings and takes it, and bears it on its wing.  {Exodus 19:4; Revelation 12:14}
Deu 32:12  YHWH alone led him, and there was no strange god (El nekar…referring back to Dan 2 and the strange/alien Eloha) with him.

Psa 91:5  You shall not fear the terror of night, nor of the arrow that flies by day;
Psa 91:6  of the plague (dever) that walks in darkness nor of the destruction laying waste (shud) at noonday.
Psa 91:10  no evil shall happen to You, nor shall any plague come near Your tent.

The ancients interpreted these verses of supernatural attacks of the enemy.

5. Be not afraid of the terror of demons who walk at night, of the arrow of the angel of death that he looses during the day;

6.     Of the death that walks in darkness, of the band of demons that attacks at noon.
10.  The lord of the world responded and thus he said: “No harm shall happen to you; and no plague or demon shall come near to your tents.”

John Gill’s commentary
Psa 91:5  Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night,…. The terrible things that happen in the night; as fire, storms and tempests, invasion of enemies, murders, thefts, and, robberies: a good man, when he has committed himself and his family to the care and protection of God by prayer, has no reason to be anxiously careful of these things, or to indulge a slavish fear about them; see Psa_3:5, the Targum is,

“thou shall not be afraid for the fear of devils that walk in the night:”

so Jarchi interprets this, and the next verse, of such; as do others of the Jewish writers: a man that trusts in the Lord need not be afraid of men or devils: a fear of evil spirits is natural to men, and very early appeared; perhaps it took its rise from the fatal affair of the fall of our first parents, through an intercourse with an evil spirit; and ever since has been imprinted on human nature an aversion to evil spirits, and a dread of them, and even of all spirits in general; see Job_4:13,

nor for the arrow that flieth by day; the judgments of God, such as the sword, famine, and pestilence; these are called the arrows of God, Deu_32:23 (q), because they move swiftly, come suddenly, and strike surely, and are open and visible; they are sent by the Lord, and are ordered and directed by him, and hit and hurt whom he pleases, and none else; and therefore such who dwell in the secret of the Lord, and under his shadow, need not be distressed about them: the Targum interprets it of the arrow of the angel of death, which he sends out in the day; see Heb_2:14, so Jarchi understands it of a demon that flies like an arrow.

Psa 91:6  Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness,…. Some think, and not without cause, that what is figuratively expressed in the preceding verse is here explained; and, indeed, the “pestilence” may well be called the “terror by night”: the name of the plague, at a distance, is terrible; the near approach of it is more so; when it enters a country, city, or town, what fleeing is there from it? and in the night season it is more dreadful than in the day; not only to think of it in the gloomy watches of the night, but to see the vast numbers carried out to be interred, and to hear the dismal cry, Bring out your dead: and so it is here said to “walk in darkness”; in the darkness of the night, or to arise from dark and unknown causes; when it moves and walks through cities, towns, and villages, and there is no stopping it: and this also may be the “arrow that flieth by day”; which flies as swift as an arrow, and that flies as swift as a bird (r); this is taken out of the Lord’s quiver, has its commission and direction from him, and does execution by night and by day: the plague that smote the firstborn in Egypt was in the night; and that which was in David’s time, and might be the occasion of penning this psalm, began in the day, Exo_12:29,

nor for the destruction that wasteth at noon day; as the pestilence, which may be increased, and rage the more, through the heat of the day; and which destroys great numbers wherever it comes: seventy thousand were taken off in three days by the plague occasioned by David’s numbering of the people: the Targum is,

“of a company of devils that destroy at noon day;”

that is, thou shall not be afraid: some think respect is had to a pestilential hot wind, common in the eastern countries, which begins to blow about eight o’clock in a morning, and is hottest at noon; which instantly suffocates persons, burns them, and reduces them to ashes presently, which the Arabs call “sammiel”, or a poison wind (s).

Sammiel (poison wind) = Samael?
Samael (also Sammael) is an important archangel in Talmudic and post-Talmudic lore, as well as Christian tradition and demonology, a figure who is accuser, seducer, and destroyer. He has been regarded as both good and evil. In rabbinic lore he is identified as the chief of Satan’s and the Angel of death. In the Secrets of Enoch (Enoch II) he is a prince of demons and a magician. He was a guardian angel of Esau and a patron of the sinful empire of Rome. Samael is usually considered to be the true angelic name of Satan. The etymology of his name is sometimes thought to be a combination of “sam,” and in some combinations ‘poison’,[clarify] and “el,” meaning ‘God’; thus he is the poison of God.

DNA & ‘ alien creators’

“Aliens” (Fallen Angels) may teach they are the creators of man.  Annunaki said they genetically engineered cro-magnum man to create a slave race “adam” in clay jars. This lines up with the ‘science’ of today and the theory of evolution.
In Genesis 1 it says Let Us make man in Our Image. This can be twisted an manipulated to mean angels/annunaki created man in their image.  Elohim can refer to angels as it is seen Shaul’s interpretation of Psalm 8:5 in Hebrews 1:6 and could be used when the fallen angels return to earth to ‘recreate’ mankind or to help them to ‘evolve’ in their next step of evolution.

Gen 1:26  And God said, let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over all the creepers creeping on the earth.
Gen 1:27  And God created the man in His own image; in the image of God He created him. He created them male and female.

Is this why YHWH spoke through Jeremiah saying the following:?
Jer 10:11  So you shall say to them, The gods who have not made the heavens and the earth, they shall perish from the earth and from under these heavens.
