On this date, 6/17/1972, the Watergate break-in at the Democratic National Committee occurred. This led to the resignation of Richard Nixon from the Presidency. In the Presidents Code, Nixon’s Presidency points to Joshua who led Israel into victory over the Canaanite nations, albeit not in totality as commanded by the Lord. The parable of his Presidency portrays this time period of Joshua through the period of Judges. Nixon’s resignation and Inauguration of Gerald Ford points to time period of Samuel and the Kingship of Saul.
Corruption was a primary theme in Nixon’s second term as President. In October 1973, Spiro Agnew resigned due to being under investigation for bribery, tax evasion and extortion. Agnew became the only Vice President in United States history to resign because of criminal charges. Agnew’s resignation began the theme of corruption in the Nixon Presidency leading up to the Watergate scandal. This corresponds to the time period in which Israel is corrupted by mixing religious beliefs with the people of the land (Deuteronomy 4:9-19; 31:29; Judges 2:13-23).
Gerald Ford was appointed by Nixon as the Vice Presidential replacement for Agnew. Ford’s name meaning is speaking of the transition from the period of Judges to Kings. Just as corruption was a primary theme of Nixon’s second term in office, so too corruption was an ongoing problem for Israel during this time. (Judges 2:19; Ezekiel 16:47; 20:44; 23:11; Hosea 9:9).
The resignation of Spiro Agnew from the Vice Presidency, and Richard Nixon from the Presidency was the first and only time this had happened in American history. The Hebrew word for resign is עזב ‘azav’ which means to forsake or leave, literally the leaving of one’s family when purchased as a bride. This points to the ‘forsaking’ of God by Israel when they mixed amongst the peoples of the land (Deuteronomy 28:20; 29:24-28; 31:16; Judges 10:6, 10-13; Isaiah 62:4; Jeremiah 1:16; 2:11-13, 17-23; 5:7, 19; 9:13-16; 16:11-12).
Judges 2:12 And they forsook the LORD God of their fathers, which brought them out of the land of Egypt, and followed other gods, of the gods of the people that were round about them, and bowed themselves unto them, and provoked the LORD to anger.
Judges 2:13 And they forsook the LORD, and served Baal and Ashtaroth.
A further connection between the resignation of Nixon and Agnew and the days of the Judges is seen in the etymology of the word ‘resignation.’ Resignation comes from the Latin word ‘resignare’ which means to ‘check off,’ or ‘give up.’ In Hebrew, this would be rendered as תנה ‘tanah’ which means to give, or to hire for money. Scripture likens the spiritual whoredom that Israel committed throughout its history as ‘hiring’ themselves out (Hosea 8:10; Ezekiel 23:1-49).
The ‘religious’ state of the country during Nixon’s administration reflects the same state of the Israel’s government during the days of the judges and kings (Ezekiel 8:12; 9:9; Psalm 73:11; 94:7-10; Isaiah 29:15). Richard Nixon spoke of this in his book ‘In the Arena.’
“Many of the Europeans who came to the New World were fleeing repressive religious authority, so it is no surprise that the Founders called for a strict separation of church and state. It was not that they were irreligious but rather that memories of a tyrannical church made them see the wisdom of a separate civil authority. Hundreds of years later, many in our intellectual elite mistakenly interpret the Constitution as requiring our society to be totally secular.”
This ‘secularist’ movement in America dominated the 1970s, corresponding with the time period in which Israel lived under the rule of the Judges. A time period in which Israel alternated living in rebellion against God with restoration unto faith, only to repeat the cycle over and over again.
Nixon’s downfall came as a result of the Watergate scandal. Watergate began when five men were arrested for breaking into the Watergate complex which was the location of the Democratic National Committee headquarters.
A ‘water gate’ is a channel for water. In Hebrew this would correspond with the word פלג ‘palag’ which literally means a division, as in the divisions of a land by rivers. This points to the days of Joshua and the Judges when the land was divided out to Israel (Joshua 13:7; 14:5; 18:5, 10). This word פלג ‘palag’ is also used in reference to the ‘rivers’ of water by which a good tree is planted mentioned in Psalm 1:3. This Psalm describes a righteous person who is likened to a tree which bears good fruit, versus a wicked man who is likened to chaff which the wind drives away. Herein is the theme of Nixon’s Presidency.
Another word in Hebrew for channel is נחל ‘nachal’ which means a river or stream but also an inheritance as something that is passed from one generation to another. It is during the days of Joshua that Israel obtained their inheritance that was promised to their fathers, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob (Joshua 11:23).
The etymology of the English word channel further connects this to the concept of inheritance. ‘Channel’ traces back to the Hebrew word קנה ‘qaneh’ which is the source of the name Canaan. קנה ‘qaneh’ means an acquisition or possession. Here we see a connection to the land of Canaan which became a possession of Israel during the days of Joshua.
As a result of the Watergate investigation, it was found that Nixon had installed a tape-recording system in the White house. It was these tapes which led to his downfall as they made it possible to implicate Nixon in the cover-up. Gerald Ford became President as a result of Nixon’s resignation. Ford’s Presidency points to the time period of Samuel, Saul and David. Samuel, the ‘last judge’ of Israel, means God hears. Here we see a connection to the ‘hearing’ of the conversations recorded on the aforementioned tape-recording system. Samuel then anointed Saul as king of Israel due to the rebellious desire of the nation (1 Samuel 8:5). Saul’s name means to ask or inquire. This points to the ‘asking or desiring’ of Congress to obtain the White house tapes of which ultimately led to Nixon’s downfall.
John Dean was a part of the White House Counsel to Richard Nixon from 1970-1973 and was deeply involved in the cover-up of the Watergate burglaries. He was referred to as the ‘master manipulator of the cover up’ by the FBI. Dean believed that he was being set up by Nixon as the ‘fall guy’ for the cover up and decided to co-operate with the FBI investigation into the matter. He became the key witness for the prosecution. His name displays an interesting connection to the days of which Nixon’s Presidency displays in the Biblical narrative, particularly the end of Nixon’s Presidency which points to the days of the High Priest Eli and Samuel. Eli’s sons were very corrupt (1 Samuel 2:22-25) whose sins led to the days of Samuel as the last judge of Israel and the establishment of the kings of Israel.
John means camp of Yah. Wesley is from a surname which means ‘west meadow’ in Old English. There is only one ‘meadow’ mentioned in Scripture which is in the Western part of the land of Israel. The meadows of Gibeah (Judges 20:33). Gibeah is first mentioned in Judges 19 in the account of the Levite who had his concubine raped and murdered. This led to the near extinction of the tribe of Benjamin which occurred at the end of the book of Judges (Judges 20-21). This was a perfect example of the depravity of which Israel had sunken to as a result of their mixture with the Canaanite nations.
Gibeah was also the home of Saul, the first king of Israel (1 Samuel 10:26). Here we see the transition from the period of Judges, to the time period of Kings in Israel. So too, a transition from Nixon to Gerald Ford is seen due in large part to John Dean.
The word for meadow in the Biblical text is ערה ‘arah’ which also means to uncover or bare one’s nakedness as a meadow is a place of ‘barren trees.’ Here again we see a connection to John Dean who ‘uncovered’ the cover-up of Watergate.
Dean comes from the occupational surname ‘dean’ which refers to a person who was a dean. A dean is one who is given authority over a specific area of concern, such as Dean’s description as the ‘master manipulator’ of the Watergate coverup. ‘Dean’ comes from the Middle English ‘deen’ which traces back further to the Latin word ‘decanus’ which means ten. Amazingly, due to the release of the White House tapes, the ten congressman who initially voted against impeachment of Nixon declared they would support the move after it was revealed that Nixon lied about not being a part of the cover-up. The Middle English word ‘deen’ means a valley. This points to the Hebrew word נחל ‘nachal’ which means river and inheritance as mentioned previously.
Due to the Watergate scandal and an impending impeachment, Nixon resigned on August 9th, 1974. Nixon left the White House on an helicopter which ties into the Presidents Code parable.
The word ‘helicopter’ comes from the French word ‘hélicoptère’ which has the meaning of a device which rises perpendicularly. This word traces back to the Greek word ἕλιξ ‘helix’ which means “spiral” and πτερον ‘pteron’ which means wing.
A “spiral” in Hebrew is צפירה ‘tsephirah’ which is translated as ‘diadem’ in the Scriptures (Isaiah 28:5) which points to the transition in the Biblical narrative from the time of the Judges to the time period of Kings. This time period is displayed in the Presidency of Gerald Ford, who took over the office of Presidency when Nixon resigned.
צפירה ‘tsephirah’ is also translated as the morning (Ezekiel 7:7, 10), linking back to the πτερον ‘pteron’ (wing) aspect of the helicopter etymology. The early morning rising of the sun is associated with “wings” in the Bible (Malachi 4:2).
Mal 4:2 But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.
It is interesting to note that the Gerald Ford was known as the “healing” President. Samuel anointed Saul as Captain over Israel to save the nation (1 Samuel 9:16). The Hebrew word for save, ישע ‘yasha,’ also means to ‘heal’ (Psalm 67:2).

The Presidents Code
The Presidents Code is a parable based upon the name meanings of the U.S. Presidents. Amazingly, their name meanings tell the story of the Biblical text, from the beginning of creation unto the days of Christ. In and of itself this is an incredible display of the Hand of God directing the course of history in America.
However, this is just the start. Based upon the premise of this code, it is seen that the very characters of the Presidents, from their personal characters to the events that occurred during their Presidencies reveal in parable form the exact same events of the Biblical narrative of which their name meanings describe. In other words, the history of the United States is displaying a giant parable of the Word of God.
Here’s a quick example. George Washington’s name meaning is speaking of God planting of the Garden of Eden. Washington’s character is that of the Father of the nation, pointing to THE Father who planted the aforementioned Garden. Today, Donald Trump is President who is in a major conflict with establishment (“deep state”). In the code, Trump’s Presidency is a parable of the time of Christ Jesus and His conflict with the establishment of His day.
Additionally, the wars which have occurred, the changes in the monetary system, the ‘party systems’ and political realignments which have occurred in this country’s history follow this ‘code’ as well.
Furthermore, the name meanings of the heads of the other two branches of government line up with perfect precision to the name meanings of the Presidents they serve with. The Vice Presidents, Speakers of the House, Chief Justices, President Pro Tempores and more recently the Senate and House Majority Leaders as well as the Chiefs of Staffs all fit into this code.
