Messiah in the Torah – Genesis 1:2-5

Gen 1:2 and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters,

‘The Spirit of God hovered over/moving over the waters’

The word translated as hovered comes from the following:

Here we see imagery of a bird hovering over its nest. YHWH/Jesus are described in this same imagery.

Deu 32:10 He found him in a desert land, and in the waste, a howling wilderness. He encircled him and cared for him; He guarded him as the pupil of His eye.

Mat 23:37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one killing the prophets and stoning those sent to her. How often I desired to gather your children in the way a bird gathers her chicks under her wings! And you did not desire it.

רחף comes from the root:

Messiah is the door that we enter in order to abide in His ‘House’ (John10:7) it is through Him that we are covered/hidden. This is the definition of who the Israel of God is (Galatians 6:16)…His hidden ones (Psalm 83:3). It is by the covenant cut in Messiah (Daniel 9:26; Isaiah 42:6) by His sacrifice on the tree that we are covered (1 John 1:7). It is through His Outstretched Arms (wings) that Messiah is calling us (John 3:14; 12:32) and gathering us together as a Shepherd does His flock (John 10:14-16). This is how we enter the Door into the House, this is how we are declared innocent and pure in His eyes. חפ is the root for the word ‘Chuppah’/wedding canopy

Abiding under the shadow of His wings and being in ‘marriage covenant’ with Him through Messiah is one and the same thing.

Zec 2:8 For so says YHWH of Hosts: He has sent Me after glory, to the nations who plundered you; for he who touches you touches the pupil of His eye.

Isa 4:2 In that day the Branch of YHWH will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth for pride and for glory for the survivors of Israel.
Isa 4:3 And it shall be, he remaining in Zion, and he who is left in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, every one who is written among the living in Jerusalem;
Isa 4:4 when the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem shall have been rinsed away from its midst by a spirit of judgment, and by a spirit of burning.
Isa 4:5 Then YHWH will create a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night, over all the site of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies; for on all the glory will be a canopy (chuppah).
Isa 4:6 And there shall be a booth for a shade from the heat, and for a refuge, and for a hiding place from storm and rain.

Under His wings = under His skirt/kanaph.

This is a term of intimacy between a man and His wife.

Deu 22:30 A man shall not take his father’s wife, and shall not uncover his father’s skirt.

Rth 3:9 And he said, Who are you? And she said, I am your handmaid Ruth, and you shall spread your skirt over your handmaid, for you are a kinsman redeemer.

Eze 16:8 And I passed by you, and I looked on you, and, behold, your time was the time of love. And I spread My skirt over you and covered your nakedness. And I swore to you and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Lord YHWH. And you became Mine.

Kerubim

Cherubim overshadowed the ark of the covenant with their wings…abiding under His wings=abiding in His Word/Jesus . The Kerubim were those who guarded the Tree of Life. When we are abiding under the shadow of His wings we are entering back spiritually in the Garden. See PaRDeSclick here studies.

Exo 25:20 And the cherubs shall be spreading out wings above, covering the mercyseat with their wings, and their faces each toward its brother; the faces of the cherubs shall be toward the mercyseat.

Abiding in the Shadow of His wings means we are protected from adversity. This can also be seen by walking in the Torah.

Psa 94:12 Blessed is the man You chasten, O YHWH, You teach him out of Your Law;

Psa 94:13 to give him rest from troubled days, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

Psa 94:14 For YHWH will not leave His people; nor will He forsake His inheritance.

Abiding under the shadow of His wings again goes back to the imagery in the Temple of the Kerubim. Abiding in His Word = abiding under the shadow of His wings = abiding in Messiah (John 15)

Interestingly, going back to the root of the word rachaph רחף (hovering/under wings of bird) also connects to the Temple in that the word for barefoot comes from the same root (חף). According to history, the Kohanim would always walk barefoot in the Temple due to it being holy ground as in Exodus 3:5 & Joshua 5:15.

Abiding under the shadow of His wings and walking in His Light

Psa 36:7 How precious is Your mercy, O God! And the sons of men take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. {Under the shadow of His wings refers back to the Spirit hovering over the waters}
Psa 36:8 They shall be satisfied from the abundance of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures (Eden).
Psa 36:9 For with You is the fountain of life; in Your light we see light.

Who abides in His shadow? Zion
Psa 36:8 They shall be satisfied (watered) from the abundance of Your house; and You make them drink the torrent of Your pleasures.

Psalm 29 connection

Psalm 29 connects back to Genesis 1:2

Psa 29:3 The voice of YHWH is on the waters; the God of glory thunders; YHWH is above many waters.

This Psalm was said to be sung in ancient times during Shavuot and Sukkot at ‘the pouring out of the Spirit’ (thunderstorms).

Psalms 29 – INTRODUCTION TO PSALM 29

A Psalm of David. In the Vulgate Latin version is added, “at the finishing of the tabernacle”; suggesting that this psalm was composed at that time, and on that occasion; not at the finishing of the tabernacle by Moses, but at the finishing of the tent or tabernacle which David made for the ark in Zion, 2Sa_6:17. The title in the Arabic version is,

“a prophecy concerning the incarnation, ark, and tabernacle.”

In the Septuagint version, from whence the Vulgate seems to have taken the clause, it is, at the “exodion”, “exit”, or “going out of the tabernacle”; that is, of the feast of tabernacles; and which was the eighth day of the feast, and was called צצרת, which word the Septuagint renders εξοδιον, the word here used, Lev_23:36; though it was on the first of the common days of this feast that this psalm was sung, as Maimonides (w) says. Some think it was composed when the psalmist was in a thunder storm, or had lately been in one, which he in a very beautiful manner describes. Kimchi thinks it refers to the times of the Messiah; and it may indeed be very well interpreted of the Gospel, and is very suitable to Gospel times.

The Voice of Elohim

The Hebrew word translated as ‘voice’ comes from:

The Spirit is likened to a dove at the Baptism of Messiah. Baptism is a symbol of rebirth, hence the Spirit/Dove is linked to rebirth and resurrection.
Luk 3:21 And it happened, in the baptizing of all the people, Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened;
Luk 3:22 and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily form as a dove upon Him. And there was a voice out of Heaven, saying, You are My Son, the Beloved; in You I have been delighting. Psa. 2:7; Gen 22:2; Isa. 42:1

The Creation

Gen 1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth;
Gen 1:2 and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters,

A replay of this was seen when the virgin Mary conceived and brought forth the Messiah…the Light of the world. The Spirit hovered over her ‘waters/womb’, the Seed (the Word) was implanted and she brought forth the Tree of Life.

Luk 1:35 And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

Psa 139:13 For You have possessed my inward parts; You wove me in the womb of my mother.
Psa 139:14 I will thank You, for with awesome ways I am distinguished; Your works are marvelous, and my soul knows it very well.
Psa 139:15 My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret; when I was woven in the depths of the earth.
Here we seen that the womb is likened to the earth. In Hebraic thought, the womb is also likened to waters.

Water
In ancient Hebrew thought, the letter Mem symbolizes water. In fact, its name is derived from the Hebrew word for water, mayim. The connection of Mem to water is very significant given the other concepts with which the letter is interconnected.

The Number 40
Each Hebrew letter has a numerical value. The value of Mem is 40. This is significant in several ways:

1. The number 40 appears numerous times in both the Old and New Testaments connected to the concepts cleansing or refining. Two such examples are the flood of Noah and the temptation of Jesus. Furthermore, many of these accounts that mention 40 are closely associated with water. Noah’s flood was a massive cleansing by water, and Jesus’ temptation took place immediately after he was baptized in the Jordan river.

2. The Mikvah, or Hebrew ritual immersion must contain at least 40 sa’ahs of water (about 200 gallons) to be a mikvah. Thus the number 40 and the concept of water again connect the idea of cleansing intimately to the letter Mem.

A Womb and a Tomb
Mem is already associated with water and cleansing, but the depth of symbolism goes even further. In both Jewish and Christian understanding, immersion/baptism is a place of death and rebirth. Our old self dies, and our we are born again, clean and renewed. As if this simple symbolism were not enough, the letter Mem literally illustrates this concept.

There are two forms of the letter Mem, one used at the beginning or middle of words (open), and one only used to end a word (closed).

This concept of the letter Mem being a picture of the womb, reveals an important mystery of the Messiah being born from a virgin (closed womb/mem).

Isa 7:14 So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.
Isa 9:6 For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7 There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of YHWH of Hosts will do this.

In the Hebrew text an amazing mystery is revealed showing that the Prince of peace will come from the closed womb. The closed mem should only occur at the end of a word, but in the text it occurs in the middle. This is the only time in Scripture that this happens.

In Genesis 8, Noah sends forth a dove to when the waters had subsided enough for the earth to be seen. This too, is a symbol of rebirth. All throughout Scripture, the number 3 is associated with resurrection as can be seen in the Book of Jonah and the resurrection of Messiah for examples. On the third day, the earth came forth out of the waters and brought forth life.

Gen 1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected to one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so.
Gen 1:10 And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the collection of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:11 And God said, Let the earth sprout tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed, the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it on the earth. And it was so.
Gen 1:12 And the earth bore tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed according to its kind, and the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:13 And there was evening, and there was morning the third day.

The Spirit is linked with rebirth

1Pe 3:18 Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you.

Jonah’s name, who was ‘resurrected’ after 3 days and nights in the belly of the fish, means a dove. Again the link between the Spirit and rebirth.

Bat Qol

“Bath Kol (Hebrew בּת קול: daughter of the voice or daughter of a voice) is a “heavenly or divine voice which proclaims God’s will or judgment, His deeds and His commandments to individuals or to a number of persons, to rulers, communities, and even to whole nations.”

The Bat Kol is represented in Jewish tradition by the symbol of the dove. Again linking Psalm 29 with Genesis 1:2

bath´kol, bath kōl (בּת קול, bath ḳōl, “the daughter of the voice”): Originally signifying no more than “sound,” “tone,” “call” (e.g. water in pouring gives forth a “sound,” bath ḳōl, while oil does not), sometimes also “echo.” The expression acquired among the rabbis a special use, signifying the Divine voice, audible to man and unaccompanied by a visible Divine manifestation. Waters at Creation

In the beginning, the Word/Voice of the Most High acted upon the waters and brought forth Light. Sound frequencies based on physics and mathematics were applied to water.

Everything of mass and matter is vibrating, everything makes a sound (frequency). Everything is reSONating.

Heb 11:3 By faith we understand the ages to have been framed by the Word of God, so that the things seen should not come into being out of things that appear.
Heb 1:2 in these last days He spoke to us in the Son, whom He appointed heir of all; through whom He indeed made the ages;
Psa 33:6 Through the Word of YHWH the heavens were made; and all their host were made by the breath of His mouth.
2Pe 3:5 For this is hidden from them by their willing it so, that heavens were of old, and earth by water, and through water, having subsisted by the Word of God,

In the beginning sound was on the waters. The English word sound comes from:

SOUND, n. [L. sonus, from sonom to sound, sing, rattle, beat, &c. This may be a dialectical variation of L. tonus, tono, which seems to be allied to L. teneo.]

Notice the link between sound and a bird/swan. In the Scriptures a link is also seen.

Evening and morning were the first day…at the going down of the sun and the rising of the sun is when the birds are heard singing.

Psa 65:8 And those living in the uttermost parts are afraid of Your signs; You make the outgoings of the morning and the evening to rejoice.

Morning and evening our Creator is calling us to Him. Calling us to the shadow of His wings. Calling us back to Him through the Messiah under His outstretched arms.

This is also seen in the Temple/Tabernacles services.

Every morning and every evening (Exodus 29:38-42), they would sacrifice a lamb, with its compliment oblation (grain offering), and libation (wine offering). These sacrifices allowed them twice a day to remember or to ‘re-experience’ the salvation of YHWH. At the ‘Last Supper’ Messiah brought forth the bread & the wine and then offered Himself as the lamb of the New Covenant. Passover occurs at the beginning of the year, it is a picture of being reborn in Messiah, pointing back to the beginning/creation of the world. The Flood of Noah was a type of rebirth (1 Peter 3:20) where the dry land appeared in the first month (Genesis 8:13). So too, at the Passover in Egypt during the Exodus, Yisrael passed through the Yam Suf and were baptized (1 Corithians 10:2) Baptism is a picture of being born again, into the body of Messiah (1 Corinthians 12:13; Colossians 3:11; Galatians 3:27-28). Interestingly the word for unison traces back to ‘son’ the root of sound

If one takes Two violins that are tuned the same (in harmony) and one plucks the string of one violin, the other violin’s string will vibrate and produce same sound.

Joh 10:16 And I have other sheep which are not of this fold. I must also lead those, and they will hear My voice; and there will be one flock, one Shepherd.

Is it just coincidence that ‘consonant’ comes from the same root ‘son’ in English? Could it also be coincidence that the Hebrew alphabet is made up of all consonants? This same Hebrew alphabet that makes up the Word. The Word that became flesh and dwelt among us. Is this why Zephaniah prophesied that the clear lip of Hebrew would be returned to us (Zephaniah 3:9)?

Rom 15:6 that with one accord and with one mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

What does the English word accord trace back to? Accordare (Italian) “to attune an instrument” and Latin. accordare “make agree,” lit. “be of one heart. Again a reference to being born again or circumcision of the heart. How is the heart circumcised? Through the Word (Hebrew 4:12; Luke 24:31-32; Acts 2:37; Jeremiah 32:39-40). It is through this circumcision/entering of the Word that Light comes forth (Psalm 119:130)

Or it could be said ConSONants brought together to form Words. Each of the 22 letters of the Hebrew alphabet have different meanings since Hebrew is a pictographic language. Different parts come together to form the Word. Just as different parts of the Tabernacle, which had different functions came together to become ONE (Exodus 36:13).

SONG of Creation

Psa 50:1 A Psalm of Asaph God, YHWH God, has spoken, and calls to the earth from the rising of the sun to its going in.

Notice the connection to Yah being our song and the living waters.

This phrase, ‘YHWH is my strength and song and has become my Yeshua’ is found in two other Scriptures. Exodus 15:2 speaking of the redemption after the 1st Passover and in Psalm 118:14 which is a Psalm connecting to the ‘2nd Passover’ in which Messiah Jesus offered Himself as a sacrifice for our atonement.

In short, all of creation comes forth from music. Just as the Holy Scriptures spoke of thousands of years ago.

String theory is a part of a larger synthesis called M-Theory. Originally the letter M in M-theory was taken from membrane, a construct designed to generalize the strings of string theory.

In M-Theory strings with closed loops free to go from one dimension to another. Interestingly, M-Theory originally spoke of 10 dimensions. This was later expanded to 11 dimensions based on the necessary consolidation of five separate string theories to produce an 11th unifying dimension and a consistent string theory. This is fascinating in that the Tabernacle had 11 curtains…

Exo 26:7 And you shall make curtains of goats’ hair for a tent over the tabernacle; you shall make eleven curtains.

The open ended loops (like floss) are tied down to our physical dimension. These strings can be ‘stretched out’ and are called a membrane. World is called a ‘brane’ world. From Lat. membrana.

Sonoluminescence

Sonoluminescence is a little-understood phenomenon whereby light is emitted by tiny bubbles suspended in a liquid subjected to intense acoustic fields.

Light Before Stars? – Stephen Caesar
According to a careful reading of verse 3, light was created as the result of God’s voice: “And God said, Let there be light.” Modern science has demonstrated that light can be produced purely from sound, and not exclusively from light-giving sources such as stars. Physicists Keith Weninger, Seth J. Putterman, and Bradley P. Barber of the University of California at Los Angeles performed a remarkable experiment that has confirmed the existence of sonoluminescence – light that is created from sound. Science News reported: “Bombarded with an intense sound wave, a small gas bubble suspended in water can emit a string of extremely short, bright pulses of light. Known as sonoluminescence, this conversion of sound into light occurs during the rapid and violent contraction of the bubble as it oscillates in step with the sound wave” (Peterson 214 [emphasis added]).

Discover magazine similarly stated: “In a process called sonoluminescence, sound waves cause an air bubble in water to pulsate 20,000 times a second. Each collapse can create a miniature pressure front inside the bubble, which emits a tiny white glow believed to be much hotter than the surface of the sun. Such temperatures could theoretically be harnessed to produce fusion” (Saunders 50).

A later issue of the same journal reported on further developments in the science of sonoluminescence. The discovery on which it reported ties in with the formation of the Universe, which of course is what the first chapter of Genesis is all about. The magazine stated: “As strange as it may seem, cosmologists believe that before…light could travel unhindered through space, sound waves reverberated freely throughout the universe. The sound waves may have originated in the first instant of the universe’s life, when the cosmos underwent an extraordinary expansion” (Folger 48).

This theory that sound existed at the exact moment of creation, and that it had a major role in the formation of the Cosmos, ties in wonderfully with the statement that God said, “Let there be light.” Before the discovery of sonoluminescence, theologians and Bible scholars could only offer guesses as to why God thought it necessary to “say” anything to create light. It now seems that His purpose was to use sound waves to create the light of Genesis 1:3. Once again, cutting-edge science clears up another alleged “error” in the Book of Genesis.

Water, Light & Sound

The Glory of YHWH is connected w/ music

In 2 Chronicles 5:11-13, the Levitical priests sing songs of praise unto the Most High and His Glory (Shechinah) appears to Yisrael.

Messiah is His Glory…His Light

Rev 21:23 And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof.

Eze 43:2 And, behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east. And His voice was like the voice of many waters. And the earth shone from His glory.

His Glory and the Rainbow

Beginning with water, resonating the right sound will produce all the colors of the light spectrum.

Notice the connection between the waters, the rainbow and the throne of God.

Psa 29:10 YHWH sits upon the flood; yea, YHWH sits as King forever.
Rev 4:3 And the One sitting was in appearance like a jasper stone, and a sardius; and a rainbow was around the throne, in appearance like an emerald.
Eze 1:27 And I saw Him, like the color of polished bronze, looking like fire within it all around. From the appearance of His loins and upward, and from the appearance of His loins and downward, I saw Him looking like fire; and brightness to it all around.
Eze 1:28 As the appearance of the bow that is in the cloud in the day of the rain, so appeared the brightness all around. This was the appearance of the likeness of the glory of YHWH. And I saw, and I fell on my face, and I heard a voice of One speaking.

Sound & Light…Frequencies

One more step brings us to colour, which is caused by the vibrations of light, as sound is caused by the vibrations of air. There is a relation between the two, so that a particular colour corresponds to a particular note in music.

Hence there are seven colours answering to the seven musical sounds, and it is found that sounds which harmonize, correspond with colours that harmonize. While discords in colour correspond with discords in music.

The seven, both in music and colour, are divided into three and four. Three primary colours and four secondary, from which all others proceed, answer to the three primary sounds called the Tri-chord, or common chord, and four secondary.

The subject is too abstruse to enlarge further upon here. Sufficient has been said to show that in the works of God all is perfect harmony, order and symmetry, both in number and design; and one corresponds with the other in a real and wonderful manner.

The Menorah and the Solfeggio Scale

Day 1 of creation corresponds to day 4. Day 2 corresponds to day 5. Day 3 corresponds to day 6. The Light of the 1st day connects with the light of the sun on day 4. The fish in the 5th day and the water of the 2nd day connect. Man in the 6th day connects with the earth/dust from whence he came. Using this pattern Mr. Saba found that the menorah shows the original Solfeggio scale Solfeggio Scale .

Here we see a connection, via the Menorah, between light and sound. The 7 branches of the Menorah correspond to the 7 notes in the musical scale and the 7 colors in the color spectrum and the 7 wavelengths of the electromagnetic spectrum.

Sound resonating on the waters

Going back to the Hebrew word רחף (hovering/moving) this word is also translated as ‘shake’ in the Scriptures (Jeremiah 23:9) This describes perfectly Genesis 1:2-3.

Sound operates in waves. Light operates in particles & waves. Light can travel through a vacuum whereas sound can’t. Sound needs a medium in order to travel. The Light in the beginning is the medium by which sounds resonates through the universe.

Light can be seen, sound can’t (for the most part).

The Light came out of darkness and waters (or that which can’t be seen). In Hebrew the word for what is מה

The picture being painted here is Light coming out of darkness. Or the physical manifestation of God coming out of the unknown. The Scriptures define Messiah Jesus as the Light (Isaiah 9:2; John 1:9; 8:2; 9:5; 12:46), yet it is clear that Messiah Jesus is the Creator (Ephesians 3:9; 1 Corinthians 8:6; Colossians 1:16) who was in the beginning with the Father (John 17:5) so the Light coming forth from the darkness isn’t speaking of the ‘creation’ of Messiah. It is a picture of Him physically manifesting in His creation.

Here in the beginning we see two manifestations of Messiah Jesus in His glorified form. The first as the Word/Voiceclick here of God which can be heard but not seen and as the Lightclick here which can be seen but not heard.

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Joh 1:2 The same was in the beginning with God.
Joh 1:3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
Joh 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
Joh 1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

Joh 1:7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.

Sound moving on the waters brought forth Light. Light (carried/bore) ‘children’ (sound/words/atoms).

Hebrew words (the Word) break down to 3 letter conSONental root. Each word has a Parent root of 2 letters with 3rd letter making the root ‘usable’. This is how atoms and molecules work. Multiple elements join together to form molecules which make up matter. The electron of the atom is constantly spinning and moving, just as in Hebrew every word comes from a root word which is a verb click here .

The English word ‘sound’ traces back to the following Hebrew word:

Notice again the connection to water, and thunder as in Psalm 29.

Isa 66:6 A roaring sound from the city! A sound from the temple! It is the sound of YHWH repaying retribution to His enemies.

Qol Sha’on (Roaring voice) This portion of text then speaks of the birth of Zion (Isaiah 66:7-8). Again a connection between the Voice/Sound of God and birth/rebirth (Psalm 29:9; 89:15; John 5:25, 28-29). This concept is further seen in the voice/Spirit of God moving on the waters and bringing forth Light. Light is seen as life (John 1:4) whereas darkness is seen as death (Psalm 107:10; Job 10:21). Furthermore, man is given life through the Spirit/Breathe of God. Without it we perish (Ecclesiastes 12:7). The connection between breathe/Spirit, His Voice/Word and Light is seen in the organs human body…more on this below.

Not surprisingly, sound is related to water in the English language as well.

Lungs, Light & Water…

The eternal organs in our bodies are a shadow picture of the Kingdom . Our bodies are His Temple (Ephesians 2:21-22; 5:30; 1 Corinthians 6:19). In the book of Revelation (Chapter 4) John is shown a vision of the Throne of God. When our hearts are circumcised (Deuteronomy 10:15; 30:6; Jeremiah 32:39-40; Ezekiel 11:19-20, Colossians 2:11-13; Hebrews 4:11-14; Luke 24:31-32) God is enthroned (Romans 10:8-10). Around His throne are 4 living creatures (Revelation 4:6) which represents the 4 chambers of the human heart. Around the throne and the 4 living creatures are 24 elders (Revelation 4:4) representing the 24 ribs surrounding the human heart. From the heart blood is pumped to the Lungs. As seen above the etymology of the English word ‘Lung’ traces back to the meaning of Light. In our bodies our lungs have 7 vascular bundles called nodes. These represent the 7 Spirits of God (Revelation 4:5; Isaiah 11:1-3). These 7 Spirits/Ruach/Breathe are pictured in the earthly Tabernacle/Temple by the Menorah. The Menorah is a picture of the Tree of Life. The Light of the world.

Menorah

As seen above, the image of the Menorah is related to Genesis 1:2. As mentioned above, Messiah on the cross/tree with His outstretched arms points back to Genesis 1:2 and the spirit hovering over the waters/bird overshadowing her brood.

Was the crucifixion really an image of the Menorah?

The Scriptures speak of the crucifixion being on a tree
Act 5:30 The God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you seized, hanging Him on a tree.
Act 10:39 And we are witnesses of all things which He did, both in the country of the Jews, and in Jerusalem. They did away with Him, hanging Him on a tree.
Act 13:29 And when they finished all the things having been written concerning Him, taking Him down from the tree, they laid Him in a tomb.
Gal 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the Law, having become a curse for us; for it has been written, “Cursed is everyone having been hung on a tree;” Deut. 21:23
1Pe 2:24 who “Himself carried up in His body our sins” onto the tree; that dying to sins, we might live to righteousness, of whom “by His wound you were healed.”

Jesus was crucified in the midst of two thieves

Joh 19:18 where they crucified Him, and two others with Him, on this side and on that side, and Jesus in the middle.

Traditionally this is the image that is portrayed of the crucifixion.

But if this were the case the following Scripture would make no sense.

Joh 19:31 Then, since it was Preparation, that the bodies not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for great was the day of that sabbath, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken and they be taken away.
Joh 19:32 Then the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first, and of the other crucified with Him.
Joh 19:33 But on coming to Jesus, when they saw He was dead already, they did not break His legs.

Why would the soldiers break the legs of the 1st and 3rd person and then go to Jesus last? If they were all crucified on one tree this would make perfect sense as they would make a circle starting from the 1st thief and working around to the Messiah. If Messiah and the two thieves were crucified on a single tree then the image that would have been formed would have been a menorah.

Another hint of this is seen in the following verse:

Notice it says bodies (plural) should not remain on the cross (singular). The text seems to indicate that all 3 bodies were on a single ‘cross’ which in Greek would be stauros (tree).

“Since we are told by the apostle John (who was an eyewitness to the crucifixion) that all three were crucified on ONE stauros (i.e. a single tree), it is easy to see how the Roman soldiers broke the legs of the robber in the Messiah’s right side (who had his back to the Messiah and was located on the northeast side of him) and then they broke the legs of the robber on the Messiah’s left side (who also had his back to the Messiah but was located on the southeast side of him). So, proceeding from the northeast side of the tree of crucifixion, the soldiers killed the first robber, went to the southeast side and killed the second robber, but they then came to the Messiah who was facing (let us say) westward towards his Father’s Temple. When they reached Yeshua they found him dead already. (Secrets of Golgotha, pp. 176-177).”

Tree of Life

The verses that speak of Messiah being crucified on a tree use the word ξύλον xulon for tree. This is the same word used for tree of life in the New Testament.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of its street and of the river, from here and from there, was a tree of life producing twelve fruits: according to one month each yielding its fruit. And the leaves of the tree were for healing of the nations.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are the ones doing His commands, that their authority will be over the Tree of Life, and by the gates they may enter into the city.

The Menorah is a symbol of the Tree of Life

Exo 35:14 The candlestick also for the light, and his furniture, and his lamps, with the oil for the light,

Lev 24:2 Command the children of Israel, that they bring unto thee pure oil olive beaten for the light, to cause the lamps to burn continually.

YHWH is a light to us

2Sa 22:29 For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.

Mic 7:8 Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the LORD shall be a light unto me.

Psa 27:1 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?
Isa 60:19 The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory.

The Torah and the Word of YHWH will go forth out of Zion

We are the branches of the menorah

The almonds of the Menorah are the the hebrew word shaqad which is the same Hebrew word for WATCH…notice the connection to the word Natsar which is translated as branches and watchmen

The Body of Messiah

the Messiah is the Life

The Word

The Bible as a Menorah

The Hebrew letters running down the center column represent the number of books on the corresponding branches. The letters are:

Tav:	22^nd letter
Heh:	5^th letter
Lamed:	12^th letter
Heh:	5^th letter

These letters spell the word tehillah which means praise.

Exo 25:33 three almond like calyxes on the one branch with knob and blossom; and three almond like calyxes on the one branch with knob and blossom, so for the six branches, those going out from the lampstand.
3×6+4=22…corresponding to the 22 Hebrew letters.

Each side branch has three sets of three items – three bowls, each with a “knop” and a “flower.” The central branch has four sets of the same three items. Thus, the numerical arrangement of these decorations follow a symmetric pattern on the seven branches:

9 + 9 + 9 + 12 + 9 + 9 + 9

The number of these “decorations” sums to 66, the number of books in the Bible. Furthermore, the sum subdivides into the sum of the first four (9 + 9 + 9 + 9 + 12 = 39) and the last three (9 + 9 + 9 = 27) to give the number of books in the Old and New Testaments. Putting it all together, we see that the Bible and the Menorah have a large set of structural numbers in common:

The structure of the Menorah also integrates with axis of the Wheel, with the Tav on the central pillar referring back, yet again, to the Crucifixion. Taking just the distinct letters from the central column yields the Tav KeyWord (Talah, to hang). God used this word to describe the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ when He gave this command in Deuteronomy 21:22

Deu 21:22 And if a man has committed a sin worthy of death, and he is put to death, and you hang him on a tree,
Deu 21:23 his body shall not remain all night on the tree; but burying you shall bury him the same day. For he that is hanged is a reproach to God. And you shall not defile your land which YHWH your God is giving to you as an inheritance.

The divine integration is astounding. The Number 22 – the Number that unites the entire body of Scripture – is also the value of the fundamental Hebrew word Yachad (Yachad, Unite) used in Psalm 86, Yet there is more, the phrase “unite my heart” is numerically equivalent for the Hebrew

word for the Wheel, Gilgal. We have a pair of identities:

The triliteral root common to the two words rolled and Gilgal is galal () which expresses the idea of something round, circular, or rolling. It is the root of the word Galilee, the region of the Lord’s earthly ministry, so called because it consisted of a circuit (galeel ) of cities on the furthest outreaches of the Israeli kingdom. This root also gives rise to megillah () denoting a scroll, or roll of a book. The prophet Zechariah used this word when he wrote, “Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll ().” Likewise, it is used in Psalm 40, the prophetic Psalm of the Lord’s first advent, where we read: “Then said I, Lo, I come: in the volume () of the book it is written of me, I delight to do thy will, O my God: yea, thy law is within my heart.”

All of these ideas come together in the meaning of the root (Galah, S# H1540) which is various translated as uncovered, discovered, opened, or revealed. It is used in Isaiah 53.1 “Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?” This is the Hebrew root – the root of the word Revelation – that governs the overall structure of Scripture!

The name of the place where the Lord was crucified is the Aramaic³ Gulgoltha () which became Golgotha () in Greek. It arose from galal through the Hebrew word for a skull, gulgoluth (), so called because of its round form.

The name of the place where the Lord was crucified, therefore, differs from the Hebrew word denoting a wheel, galgal (), by the addition of two letters, the Aleph () and the Tav (). These are the first and last letters of the Hebrew alphabet that govern the overall structure of God’s Wheel. They correspond to the Greek Alpha and Omega, by which the Lord God identified himself, saying, “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.”

This intimate relation between the Wheel, the letters Aleph and Tav, and Golgotha is but a glimpse of the infinite depth of God’s perfect wisdom. How mighty are his works! He designed each letter of the Hebrew alphabet to be kind of hieroglyph with a complex set of symbolic meanings that marvelously mix and merge to form the living words of the Hebrew language. By studying each letter’s name, grammatical function, numerical weight and relation to other letters, we come to understand its essential meaning and how it governs the themes of its corresponding h spoke.

These two letters, Aleph and Tav, combine to form the word , Eth, which in a mundane sense merely serves to indicate the direct object in the accusative case. But both scholars and mystics have noted that there is much more to be found in this simple word. The ever scholarly Ernst Klein, in his Etymological Dictionary of the Hebrew Language, noted that was originally “a noun in the sense of ‘being, essence, existence,’” while the esoteric author of the Zohar elaborated on this, stating that signifies essence of a thing, from beginning to end, first and last, and noted its use in Genesis 1.1 where it appears at the center of first seven words of the Bible:

With this understanding of Eth, we discover that the true essence of the Wheel, Eth Galgal, , is an anagram of , Golgotha, where the only change is that the First has become Last!⁶

Golgotha remains fixed as the inescapable central point about which God’s revelation eternally revolves. It is the unmovable axis of the Wheel. From Aleph to Tav, from beginning to end, from Genesis to Revelation, this is the message encoded in the supernatural structure of the Bible.

Behold the wisdom of God! The very word denoting the intrinsic geometric structure of God’s Word, Galgal, points directly and inevitably to its central event at Golgotha, the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ, where the reproach of our sin was forever rolled away. Glory to God in the highest!

Gen 1:3 then God said, Let light be! And there was light.

Light & the Word

TORAH/WORD is Light
Pro 6:23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is light; and reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
Psa 119:105 NUN. Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.
Wis 18:4 For they were worthy to be deprived of light and imprisoned in darkness, who had kept thy sons shut up, by whom the uncorrupt light of the law was to be given unto the world.
Bar 4:1 This is the book of the commandments of God, and the law that endureth for ever: all they that keep it shall come to life; but such as leave it shall die.
Bar 4:2 Turn thee, O Jacob, and take hold of it: walk in the presence of the light thereof, that thou mayest be illuminated.

By looking at the gematria of the phrase ‘let there be light’ we see another connection to the Word

Wis 7:24 For wisdom is more moving than any motion: she passeth and goeth through all things by reason of her pureness.
Wis 7:25 For she is the breath of the power of God, and a pure influence flowing from the glory of the Almighty: therefore can no defiled thing fall into her.
Wis 7:26 For she is the brightness of the everlasting light, the unspotted mirror of the power of God, and the image of his goodness.

JESUS IS THE LIGHT
Isa 9:2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
Joh 1:9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
Joh 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.
Joh 9:5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.
Joh 12:46 I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness.

TORAH AND TESTIMONY
Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Isa 60:1 Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of YHWH has risen on you!
Isa 60:2 For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples. But YHWH shall rise on you, and His glory shall be seen on you.

The Hebrew words for ‘light’ and ‘word’ are also similar in that they have the same meaning of order.

The english word order comes from the Latin ordo. Tracing this word back in the Latin vulgate brings forth an interesting connection to the concept of light being order.

Job is speaking of death/sheol/hell as a land of darkness without order. Is this the true meaning of ‘hell on earth’. No order. No light. No relationship with YHWH, hence no Torah.

Job 10:21 before I go; and I shall not return; to the land of darkness, and the shadow of death;
Job 10:22 a land of obscurity, the darkness of the shadow of death, and without any order (Latin ordo, Heb. seder); even the shining is as darkness.

This is what the ‘new world order’ is. It is a false light/order which in reality is pure darkness. Interestingly, Lucifer means light bearer/bringer but in reality is the bringer of darkness and lawlessness. This is what Messiah spoke of:

Mat 6:23 But if your eye is evil, all your body is dark. If, then, the light in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!

Again, through studying the biblical definition of the word Light, we can see that YHWH=Torah=Word=Spirit=Jesus.
Psa 43:3 O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

The entering of His Words brings forth Light

Psa 119:130 The entering of Your Word gives light, giving discernment to the simple.

As seen above, the Spirit hovering over the waters connects to the Spirit hovering over the womb of the Virgin Mary which led to her giving birth to the Messiah, the Light of the world. His body, the ‘manchild’ is born in the same manner as seen in Revelation 12. Revelation 12 shows the birth of Messiah and the birth of His Body/Bride/Manchild/Zion. Zion is a people (Isaiah 51:16), Zion is a land (Psalm 48). A city on a hill bringing forth the Light (Matthew 5:14). The earth came forth from the waters on day 3, Messiah was resurrected on the 3rd day (Matthew 12:40), His people are raised up on the 3rd day (Hosea 6:3). The earth comes out of the water with 7 land masses, Jerusalem is a land with 7 mountains (1 Enoch 17:6-8). His body, pictured by the Menorah has 7 branches, the Messiah was anointed with the 7 Spirits of Elohim (Revelation 5:6; Isaiah 11:1-3). Going back to Genesis 1:1

Light – The Origin of Matter

“The central triune reality of the physical creation has been described as consisting of the events that take place in space and time. Such events occur in great variety, including all the phenomena of matter, of light, heat, sound, radiation, electricity, and even of life itself. Greatly diverse though these and all other phenomena of nature may appear to be, there is a single underlying unity pervading all of them. Each is essentially some form of motion (and of course motion necessarily takes place in space and time), and further, each is basically a manifestation of some form of energy. Thus energy is the basic cause of every particular event and its associated motion. The phenomena which proceed from it (heat, sound , materiality, etc.) are the effects, or consequences. Energy may be defined as the capacity for accomplishing work. Matter is essentially a form of energy, and can under the proper conditions be converted into other forms of energy. But undoubtedly the most basic form of energy is light. Matter is related to other forms of energy in terms of the famous equation of Einstein, the conversion factor involving the square of the velocity of light. That is, E=mc2.

Complementarity

“One of the most profound discoveries of modern science has been that physical light ( and, therefore, also matter, in its basic atomic structure) has two natures, apparently contradictory and yet perfectly real and harmonious! Under certain conditions light manifests all the characteristics of wave motion; in other situations it seems to behave as a stream of particles. Light sometimes behaves as an electromagnetic wave, and other times as an assemblage of particles.”

“This dual nature of light (and of the atomic structure of matter) has been the greatest paradox of modern science. Some physicists maintain that this is a contradiction and are hoping that further study will eventually be able to determine whether light is really propagated as waves or as particles. But most scientists are convinced that this duality – they call it ‘complementarity’ – of light is real, even though beyond understanding.”

“Thus, both the wave nature of light and the particle nature of light are accepted as scientifically valid descriptions of the basic nature of light (and therefore of all matter). Now one, and now the other, is manifest, but both are real….He who is the spiritual Light of the world manifest, in perfect union and complementarity, characteristics of both the perfect man and the infinite God!”
