John Taylor was elected as Speaker of the House for the second time after Henry Clay left the office vacant when he became John Quincy Adams’ Secretary of State. Taylor succeeded Henry Clay both times he became Speaker. Clay’s name meaning is displaying Adam’s dwellings in exile and the punishment of death. Taylor’s name meaning is displaying the path to victory over this situation through the piercing of the Seed of the woman. As mentioned previously, repetition is a way of putting emphasis on a thought or word in language. The importance of the crucifixion of Christ as the path to salvation for mankind is without parallel in our existence. It is the underlying foundation of all of human history.

As mentioned before, John Taylor stood with John Quincy Adams as an opponent of slavery which is a picture of the slavery of mankind to sin and death. It is through the piercing of Messiah on the cross that this slavery was ended (1 Corinthians 7:22-23).

John means the grace of Yah.

The initial W. comes from the Hebrew letter ו ‘vav,’ meaning a nail or a thing that pierces.

Taylor is from an English surname originally denoted as someone who was a tailor. The origin is the Latin word ‘taliare’ meaning ‘to cut.’

Here we see a picture of the promise of the Lord’s grace that will be brought by the piercing or cutting of the heel of the Seed of the Woman. Scripture declares that this Seed of the woman is a prophecy of the Christ (Galatians 3:16).

Genesis 3:15 And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

The Hebrew word for bruise in the above verse is שוף ‘shoof’ which literally means the striking of a serpent which pierces.
