The Presidents Code – Speaker of the House Andrew Stevenson
The 1826 election saw both the Senate and House majority go to those who supported Andrew Jackson. At this time John Quincy Adams organized the National Republican Party while Jackson supporters continued to be called Democratic-Republicans. Andrew Stevenson was a supporter of Jackson and helped form the Democratic party which would form from Jackson’s supporters. His name meaning is a further depiction of the sufferings of Messiah as the gift of grace of God to mankind for the sin that began in the Garden.
Andrew comes from the Greek word ανηρ ‘aner‘ which means man.
Stevenson means son of Steven which comes from the Greek name Στεφανος ‘Stephanos’ which means a crown. Here we see a picture of the Son of Man, who would be crowned with a crown of thorns (John 19:5) and pierced through with nails to bring the Grace of God to mankind (Romans 5:12-20). This depicts the Seed of the woman, whose heel is bruised, but crushes the head of the serpent and reestablishes dominion over the earth (Genesis 3:15).
Hebrews 2:8 Thou hast put all things in subjection under his feet. For in that he put all in subjection under him, he left nothing that is not put under him. But now we see not yet all things put under him.
Hebrews 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that he by the grace of God should taste death for every man.
Hebrews 2:10 For it became him, for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons unto glory, to make the captain of their salvation perfect through sufferings.
Andrew Stevenson’s term as Speaker went into the Presidency of Andrew Jackson which is a continuation of the theme of the Promise of the Son of Man coming to earth to save all those who would believe on Him.
