The Presidents Code – President Pro Tempore Nathaniel Macon
The 1824 election divided the Democratic-Republican party into two camps. One side supported Andrew Jackson while the other opposed him. The Senate was controlled by Jackson supporters which led to Nathaniel Macon being appointed as President Pro Tempore.
Macon was Speaker of the House during Thomas Jefferson‘s Presidency. His name meaning as Speaker displayed Adam allowing the gift of God to be broken into by the adversary. As President Pro Tempore his name is speaking of the way back to Paradise.
Nathaniel comes from the Hebrew נְתַנְאֵל ‘Netanel’ meaning God has given or gift of God.
Macon is of Medieval French origin, ‘masson’ speaking of a skilled craftsman, particularly a stone mason. The Hebrew word for mason is גדר ‘gadar’ which has the meaning of an enclosure, a wall around a city. This is related to the Hebrew meaning of a garden as a garden in ancient times was enclosed by walls for protection. Mankind is given the way back to paradise through the gift of God, Jesus Christ the Seed of the woman (John 3:16). He has broken down the wall that separates man from God (Ephesians 2:14-22).
