The Presidents Code – President Pro Tempore John Brown
John Brown was elected to preside over the Senate on the first session of the 8th Congress as Aaron Burr was absent. His name meaning is pointing to Adam and Eve in the Garden and the trial they would face in the temptation of the serpent.
John means camp of Yah. At this time, the ‘camp of Yah,’ is referring to the Garden of Eden.
Brown is of Scottish origin referring to the complexion of a person or the color of their hair. In Hebrew, the word for brown is חום ‘chum’ which can mean brown or black as in the color of wood burned by fire. In the Scriptures, fire is associated with trials and testing (Isaiah 48:10; 1 Corinthians 3:13-15). This is pointing to the test of which Adam and Eve would face when the serpent infiltrated the Garden and tempted them (James 1:14).
