Henry Tazewell was elected as President Pro Tempore by a Federalist majority although he was a Democratic Republican. His tenure would only last one day with Federalist Samuel Livermore taking his position the next year.

Henry means home power or ruler. This is pointing to Adam, the ‘home ruler’ of the Garden of Eden.

Tazewell is a variant of Tassel. In Hebrew, the word for tassel is ציצית ‘tsiytsiyt’ which literally means the blossoming of a flower. Adam’s job was to care for the plants of the Garden that they might grow and blossom (Genesis 2:5).
