The Presidents Code – President Pro Tempore George Poindexter
George Poindexter was initially a Democrat who supported Andrew Jackson but, as with men like Hugh Lawson White and John Bell, became unhappy with Jackson and joined the Whigs. These numerous examples of fellow party members turning against Jackson display the conflict between the two seeds of Genesis 3.
A good example of this is seen in Poindexter’s life. In 1834 Poindexter hired Richard Lawrence to paint his home in Washington. The next year, Lawrence made an assassination attempt upon Andrew Jackson in which Jackson accused Poindexter as being behind the conspiracy.
Earlier in his life, Poindexter conducted the prosecution of Aaron Burr when he was arrested for conspiracy. In the code, Burr represented the serpent and the false light he offered to Adam and Eve. This is yet another connection to the warfare of Genesis 3. His name meaning displays this warfare between the seeds.
George means farmer or one who plants seeds.
Poindexter comes from an Old French nickhame ‘poing destre’ which means’ right fist.’ The combination of these two names portrays the warfare of the seeds spoken of in Genesis 3:15.
