The Presidents Code – George W. Bush
This is a summary of how George W. Bush fits into the Presidents Code parable. For a more thorough explanation see: The Presidents Code – The George W. Bush Presidency
The Presidents Code is a ‘cypher’ based upon the name meanings of the U.S. Presidents. Amazingly, their name meanings tell the story of the Biblical text, from the beginning of creation unto the coming of Messiah. In and of itself this is an incredible display of the Hand of God directing the course of history in America. However, this is just the start. Based upon the premise of this code, it is seen that the very characters of the Presidents, from their personal characters to the events that occurred during their Presidencies reveal in parable form the exact same events of the Biblical narrative of which their name meanings describe.
In the Presidents Code, George W. Bush‘s name meaning is speaking of the Vine of Israel being replanted in the Promised land during the second Temple period where they returned to walking in the ways of the Lord, at least in part. Israel allowed religion to become more important than the Word of God and so fell into the same shame of their forefathers.
George comes from the Greek word γεωργος ‘georgos’ which means a farmer or an earthworker. This points to the days of the Vine of Israel being replanted in the Promised Land (Isaiah 60:21; 61:3; Jeremiah 24:6; 31:28; 32:41; 42:10; Psalm 80:14-19).
Walker is an English surname which referred to the medieval occupation of a walker, also known as a fuller. Walkers would tread on wet, unprocessed wool in order to clean and thicken it. The word ultimately derives from Old English ‘wealcan’ which means to walk. Israel returned to the walk of David, desiring to walk in the light of the Lord, His Word (1 Kings 3:14; Deuteronomy 5:33; 8:6; 10:12; 11:22; 19:9; Isaiah 2:3-5; Jeremiah 7:23; Hosea 14:9; Zechariah 1:4-6; 3:7; Ezra 9:7-14; Nehemiah 9:26-38; 13:18).
Bush is an from an Old English word ‘busc’ which means a bush. As mentioned previously, in Hebrew בוש ‘bush’ means shame and is the origin of the English word for bush. A bush is used to mark one’s land as well as hide one’s home for privacy. Israel bore their shame and was judged with exile, but the promise of redemption was given that they might return to their land. This return is associated with the nations being judged and their shame being discovered (Ezekiel 36:6-38; Isaiah 61:7). This occurred during the days of the Maccabees.
Here we see in Bush’s name the regathering of Israel to the Promised land in repentance. Israel returned to walking in the law of God and rebuilt the Temple. However, Israel did not stay true to the law of the Lord. They allowed religion to become an idol and so fell back into the shame of their forefathers (Matthew 23:32).
George W. Bush’s Presidency pictures the time period of the second Temple. A time in which Israel returned to the land of promise after being exiled in Babylon. A time in which scribes and rabbis rose to power amongst the people, leading them to a zealousness for the law of God. This zealousness however, was not always tempered with faith and so John the Baptist was sent to prepare the way for the Messiah, teaching the people the true meaning and intent of the law (Romans 10:2-13).
The presidency of George W. Bush is speaking of the days of the Second Temple. The battles of the Maccabees unto the days of Herod when John the Baptist was sent to Israel to prepare the way for the Lord. Israel zealously desired to walk in the law of God but in their zealousness built up a religious system which perverted the true meaning of His Word. John the Baptist would be sent with the true meaning of the law, preparing the people to meet their Lord.
The name meanings of Bush and the other heads of government during his Presidency is depicted in story form as such:
The Vine of Israel is replanted in the Promised land after their exile in Babylon. They zealously returned to walk in the Light of the Lord, His Word. However, in their zealousness they allowed their religion to become an idol which becamse a stumbling block for them. During these days the Maccabees bravely fought against the foreign invasion of the Greeks but later lost dominion to the Romans. Israel was brought low and lived under foreign dominion throughout the days of the Second Temple, but still hoped for the coming of their promised King sent from God. During these days Israel sought to walk in the law of the Lord but had went astray its true meaning. John the Baptist would be sent with the true message of the law, to prepare the way for the coming of the Lord. He was a voice crying in the wilderness, baptizing and purifying Israel to meet their King. The promised King who humbled Himself to come down to earth bringing the grace of God. Israel would meet the salvation of God, His Holy Arm. The One who would be given a name above every name. The Good Shepherd who would restore His flock to Himself and cover them in His garments of salvation. Jesus Christ the Lord, who would come to His temple cleansing the land of the leaven of the religious leaders of that day.
The above ‘story’ comes from the following names:
President George W. Bush 2001-2009
Vice President Dick Cheney 2001-2009
House Speaker Dennis Hastert 1999-2007
House Speaker Nancy Pelosi 2007-2011
Associate Justice John Paul Stevens 2005
Chief Justice John G. Roberts 2005-
White House Chief of Staff Andrew Card 2001-2006
White House Chief of Staff Joshua Bolten 2006-2009
Bush’s two terms as President depict the time period of the Second Temple. His Presidency was defined by the War on Terror which points to the time of the Maccabees and their battles against the Greeks where Israel zealously returned to God. The centralization of the government and the controversial legislation as a result of the War on Terror points to the corrupted leadership of Israel during the second temple period. In their zealousness to serve God, they lost sight of the true meaning and intent of His Word which paved the way for John the Baptist to come on the scene preparing the way for the Lord.
