The number 6174
6174 is known as Kaprekar’s constant after the Indian mathematician D. R. Kaprekar. This number is notable for the following property:
1. Take any four-digit number with at least two digits different. (Leading zeros are allowed.)
2. Arrange the digits in ascending and then in descending order to get two four-digit numbers, adding leading zeros if necessary.
3. Subtract the smaller number from the bigger number.
4. Go back to step 2.
The above operation, known as Kaprekar’s operation, will always reach 6174 in at most 7 steps and it stops there. Once 6174 is reached, the process will continue yielding 7641 – 1467 = 6174 for eternity.
Biblically this number displays the principle of the last shall be first and the first last. Watch the video to see what I mean.
Mat 20:16 So the last shall be first, and the first last; for many are called, but few chosen.
Kaprekar’s constant only works for four digit numbers. The Hebrew word for four is ארבע ‘arabah’ from the root רב ‘rav’ as in the sense of spreading out. רב ‘rav’ has the meaning of the head of the house. This is speaking of Messiah (Ephesians 5:23).
The head of the house, the first, became the last or least in order to become first again…
Joh 13:6 He then came to Simon Peter. And that one said to Him, Lord, do You wash my feet?
Joh 13:7 Jesus answered and said to him, What I am doing, you do not yet know. But you will know after these things.
Joh 13:8 Peter said to Him, You may in no way wash my feet to the age. Jesus answered him, If I do not wash you, you have no part with Me.
Joh 13:9 Simon Peter said to Him, Lord, not my feet only, but also the hands and the head.
Joh 13:10 Jesus said to him, The one having been bathed has no need other than to wash the feet, but is wholly clean. And you are clean, but not all.
Joh 13:11 For He knew the one betraying Him. For this reason He said, You are not all clean.
Joh 13:12 Then when He had washed their feet and had taken His garments, reclining again, He said to them, Do you know what I have done to you?
Joh 13:13 You call Me the Teacher, and, the Lord. And you say well, for I AM.
Joh 13:14 If then I washed your feet, the Lord and the Teacher, you also ought to wash the feet of one another.
Joh 13:15 For I gave you an example, that as I did to you, you also should do.
Joh 13:16 Truly, truly, I say to you, A slave is not greater than his lord, nor a messenger greater than the one sending him.
Joh 13:17 If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them.
Php 2:8 and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, having become obedient until death, even the death of a cross.
Php 2:9 Because of this also God highly exalted Him and gave Him a name above every name,
Php 2:10 that at the name of Jesus “every knee should bow,” of heavenly ones, and earthly ones, and ones under the earth,
Php 2:11 and “every tongue should confess” that Jesus Christ is “Lord,” to the glory of God the Father. Isa. 45:23
When the four digit number gets to 6174 it will repeat forever. When the first become last and the last first it will be in the eternal kingdom.
Mar 10:29 But answering, Jesus said, Truly I say to you, There is no one who forsook house, or brothers, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for My sake and the gospel,
Mar 10:30 that will not receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the coming age, eternal life.
Mar 10:31 But many first shall be last, and the last shall be first.
