Daily Tidbits 3/28 – Earth & the Womb

In the first verse of Genesis a shadow picture of Messiah gathering His people is seen.  Waters in the Scriptures is used as a type for people (Psalm 65:7).  Here a picture of Messiah hovering/covering His people and on day 3 the dry land appears.  This is a shadow picture of the resurrection.  The number 3 and resurrection is a sign of the Messiah in Scriptures.  We are His Body and therefore will also be resurrected on the “3rd day” (Hosea 6:2).

The Spirit is likened to a dove at the Baptism of Messiah.  Baptism is a symbol of rebirth, hence the Spirit/Dove is linked to rebirth and resurrection.

Luk 3:21  And it happened, in the baptizing of all the people, Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened;
Luk 3:22  and the Holy Spirit came down in a bodily form as a dove upon Him. And there was a voice out of Heaven, saying, You are My Son, the Beloved; in You I have been delighting. Psa. 2:7; Gen 22:2; Isa. 42:1

The Creation

Gen 1:1  In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth;
Gen 1:2  and the earth being without form and empty, and darkness on the face of the deep, and the Spirit of God moving gently on the face of the waters,

A replay of this was seen when the virgin Mary conceived and brought forth the Messiah…the Light of the world.  The Spirit hovered over her ‘waters/womb’, the Seed (the Word) was implanted and she brought forth the Tree of Life.

Luk 1:35  And answering, the angel said to her, The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you, and for this reason that Holy One being born of you will be called Son of God.

Psa 139:13  For You have possessed my inward parts; You wove me in the womb of my mother.
Psa 139:14  I will thank You, for with awesome ways I am distinguished; Your works are marvelous, and my soul knows it very well.
Psa 139:15  My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret; when I was woven in the depths of the earth.

Here we seen that the womb is likened to the earth.  In Hebraic thought, the womb is also likened to waters.

The Mystery of the Mem

“Water in ancient Hebrew thought, the letter Mem symbolizes water. In fact, its name is derived from the Hebrew word for water, mayim. The connection of Mem to water is very significant given the other concepts with which the letter is interconnected.

The Number 40
Each Hebrew letter has a numerical value. The value of Mem is 40. This is significant in several ways:

1. The number 40 appears numerous times in both the Old and New Testaments connected to the concepts cleansing or refining. Two such examples are the flood of Noah and the temptation of Jesus. Furthermore, many of these accounts that mention 40 are closely associated with water. Noah’s flood was a massive cleansing by water, and Jesus’ temptation took place immediately after he was baptized in the Jordan river.

2. The Mikvah, or Hebrew ritual immersion must contain at least 40 sa’ahs of water (about 200 gallons) to be a mikvah. Thus the number 40 and the concept of water again connect the idea of cleansing intimately to the letter Mem.

A Womb and a Tomb
Mem is already associated with water and cleansing, but the depth of symbolism goes even further. In both Jewish and Christian understanding, immersion/baptism is a place of death and rebirth. Our old self dies, and our we are born again, clean and renewed. As if this simple symbolism were not enough, the letter Mem literally illustrates this concept.

There are two forms of the letter Mem, one used at the beginning or middle of words (open), and one only used to end a word (closed).

This concept of the letter Mem being a picture of the womb, reveals an important mystery of the Messiah being born from a virgin (closed womb/mem).”

Isa 7:14  So, The Lord Himself will give you a sign: Behold! The virgin will conceive and will bring forth a son; and she shall call His name Immanuel.
Isa 9:6  For a Child is born; to us a Son is given; and the government is on His shoulder; and His name is called Wonderful, Counselor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Isa 9:7  There is no end to the increase of His government and of peace on the throne of David, and on His kingdom, to order it, and to sustain it with justice and with righteousness, from now and forever. The zeal of Jehovah of Hosts will do this.

In the Hebrew text an amazing mystery is revealed showing that the Prince of peace will come from the closed womb.  The closed ם ‘mem’ should only occur at the end of a word, but in the text it occurs in the middle.  This is the only time in Scripture that this happens.

In Genesis 8, Noah sends forth a dove to when the waters had subsided enough for the earth to be seen.  This too, is a symbol of rebirth.  All throughout Scripture, the number 3 is associated with resurrection as can be seen in the Book of Jonah and the resurrection of Messiah for examples.  On the third day, the earth came forth out of the waters and brought forth life.

Gen 1:9  And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be collected to one place, and let the dry land appear. And it was so.
Gen 1:10  And God called the dry land, Earth. And He called the collection of the waters, Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:11  And God said, Let the earth sprout tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed, the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it on the earth. And it was so.
Gen 1:12  And the earth bore tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed according to its kind, and the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it. And God saw that it was good.
Gen 1:13  And there was evening, and there was morning the third day.

The Spirit is linked with rebirth

1Pe 3:18  Because even Christ once suffered concerning sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God; indeed being put to death in the flesh, but made alive in the Spirit;
Rom 8:11  But if the Spirit of the One having raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, the One having raised the Christ from the dead will also make your mortal bodies live through the indwelling of His Spirit in you.

Born Again from Above by the Spirit/Word

Joh 3:3  Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
Joh 3:4  Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born?
Joh 3:5  Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

Tit 3:5 He saved us, not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to His compassion, through the washing of rebirth, and renewal by the Set-apart Spirit,
1Pe 1:23  Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.
1Jo 3:9  Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Jam 1:18  Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.
Jas 1:21  On account of this, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of evil, in meekness receive the implanted Word being able to save your souls.

Jonah’s name, who was ‘resurrected’ after 3 days and nights in the belly of the fish, means a dove.  Again the link between the Spirit and rebirth.

The womb is likened to the earth

Psa 139:13  For You have possessed my inward parts; You wove me in the womb of my mother.
Psa 139:14  I will thank You, for with awesome ways I am distinguished; Your works are marvelous, and my soul knows it very well.
Psa 139:15  My bones were not hidden from You when I was made in secret; when I was woven in the depths of the earth.
Psa 139:16  Your eyes saw my embryo; and in Your book all my members were written the days they were formed, and not one was yet among them.
Psa 139:17  And how precious are Your thoughts to me, O God! How great is the sum of them!

The sprouting of vegetation is a picture of birth/resurrection

Gen 1:11  And God said, Let the earth sprout tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed, the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it on the earth. And it was so.

Messiah is the Resurrection & Life

Joh 11:25  Jesus said to her, I am the Resurrection and the Life. The one believing into Me, though he die, he shall live.

Messiah is the Seed

Luk 8:11  And this is the parable: The seed is the Word of God.

Gal 3:16  But the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his Seed (it does not say, And to seeds, as of many, but as of one, “And to your Seed,” which is Christ).

Joh 12:24  Truly, truly, I say to you, If the grain of wheat that falls into the earth does not die, it remains alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.

John Gill Commentary

except a corn of wheat fall into the ground; or is sown in the earth; for sowing with the Jews is expressed by the falling of the seed into the earth; See Gill on Mat_13:4; and is a very fit phrase to set forth the death of Christ by, who fell a sacrifice to justice by the hands of men:

and die; or is corrupted, and putrefies; and which is done in three days time in moist land, but is longer in dry ground ere it perishes (z)

(z) Rabbenu Samson & Bartenora in Misn. Celaim, c. 2. sect. 3.

1Co 15:35  But someone will say, How are the dead raised? And with what body do they come?
1Co 15:36  Foolish one! What you sow is not made alive unless it dies.
1Co 15:37  And what you sow, you do not sow the body that is going to be, but a bare grain, (it may be of wheat, or of some of the rest),
1Co 15:38  and God gives it a body according as He willed, and to each of the seeds its own body.
1Co 15:39  Not every flesh is the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, and another flesh of beasts, and another of fish, and another of birds.
1Co 15:40  And there are heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies. But the glory of the heavenly is truly different, and that of the earthly different;
1Co 15:41  one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.
1Co 15:42  So also the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruption.
1Co 15:43  It is sown in dishonor, it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness, it is raised in power.
1Co 15:44  It is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body; there is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.
1Co 15:45  So also it has been written, “The” first “man”, Adam, “became a living soul;” the last Adam a life-giving Spirit.
Gen. 2:7
1Co 15:46  But not the spiritual first, but the natural; afterward the spiritual.
1Co 15:47  The first man was out of earth, earthy. The second Man was the Lord out of Heaven.
Gen. 2:7
1Co 15:48  Such as is the earthy man, such also are the earthy ones. And such as is the heavenly Man, such also are the heavenly ones.
1Co 15:49  And as we bore the image of the earthy man, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man.
1Co 15:50  And I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood is not able to inherit the kingdom of God, nor does corruption inherit incorruption.
1Co 15:51  Behold, I speak a mystery to you: we shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed.
1Co 15:52  In a moment, in a glance of an eye, at the last trumpet; for a trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall all be changed.
1Co 15:53  For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
1Co 15:54  But when this corruptible shall put on incorruption, and this mortal shall put on immortality, then will take place the Word that has been written, “Death was swallowed up in victory.”
Isa. 25:8
1Co 15:55  “O death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?” Hos. 13:14
1Co 15:56  Now the sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the Law;
1Co 15:57  but thanks be to God who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
1Co 15:58  So that, my beloved brothers, you be firm, immovable, abounding in the work of the Lord always, knowing that your labor is not without fruit in the Lord.

The Messiah is likened to a plant rising from the ground

Isa 11:1  And a Shoot goes out from the stump of Jesse, and a Branch will bear fruit out of his roots.

Isa 11:10  And it shall be in that day, the Root of Jesse stands as a banner of peoples; nations shall seek to Him; and His resting place shall be glory.

Isa 53:1  Who has believed our report? And to whom is the arm of Jehovah revealed?
Isa 53:2  For He comes up before Him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no form nor magnificence that we should see Him; nor form that we should desire Him.

Zec 6:12  And speak to him, saying, So says Jehovah of Hosts, saying, Behold! The Man whose name is THE BRANCH! And He shall spring up out of His place, and He shall build the temple of Jehovah.

The Branch is capitalized in most English versions of the Scriptures because it is a direct reference to the Messiah.  The word used here is צמח ‘tsemach’ and is used 5 times in reference to the Messiah in Scripture.

Isa 4:2  In that day the Branch of Jehovah will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the earth for pride and for glory for the survivors of Israel.

Jer 23:5  Behold, the days come, says Jehovah, that I will raise to David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and act wisely, and He shall do justice and righteousness in the earth.
Jer 23:6  In His days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely. And this is His name by which He shall be called, Jehovah our Righteousness.

Jer 33:15  In those days, and at that time, I will cause a Branch of Righteousness to grow up to David. And He shall do judgment and righteousness in the land.
Jer 33:16  In those days Judah shall be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell in safety. And this is the name that shall be called on her: JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Zec 3:9  For, behold, I will bring forth My Servant, the BRANCH. For behold, the stone which I have given before Joshua, on the one stone are seven eyes. I will engrave its engraving, says Jehovah of Hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

1st Fruit

First Fruit = Olive tree

Rom 11:16  Now if the firstfruit is holy, so also the lump. And if the root is holy, so also the branches.

The above verse is speaking of the Olive tree of Israel.  The Olive Tree of Israel is linked to the menorah (Zechariah 4:14).

7 Branches of the Menorah correspond to the 7 continents

The center of the Menorah is the Messiah (the ירך ‘yarekh’/body). The center of the earth is the land of Israel (Ezekiel 8:12), whose center is Jerusalem which is further divided into 7 mountains (1 Enoch 17:6-8; 24:1).  The center of Jerusalem is the Temple which contains the 7 branched menorah, the Holy of Holies is the center of the Temple and the Ark is placed in the center of the Holy of Holies which contains the 7 pillars of Wisdom (Proverbs 9:1)

The Fruit of the Olive Tree

Jer 11:16  Jehovah called your name, a green olive tree, fair, with fine {תּאר ‘tô’ar‘} fruit. With the sound of a great roaring, He has set fire to it, and its branches are worthless.

H8389 תּאר tô’ar
BDB Definition:
1) shape, form, outline, figure, appearance

This word, תּאר ‘tô’ar,’  is the root of the word Torah

From this root we get תאר ‘ta’ar’ and תואר ‘t’o’ar.’  These words mean form, outline or border.  This is an important connection to see in that the mark of the beast versus the mark of God ultimately reflects whose image/form you are in.

This connection between the mark and the image/form/outline/shadow picture of the LORD Jesus versus the antichrist is further seen in that the word Torah comes from this same root.

We can have the mark of God and be in His image by walking in His Torah (the Word of God – Jesus Christ), or we can have the mark of the beast and be in the image of satan by walking in his “torah” which is lawlessness.

Connection to the resurrection

Rom 1:1  Paul, a slave of Jesus Christ, a called apostle, separated to the gospel of God,
Rom 1:2  which He promised before through His prophets in the holy Scriptures,
Rom 1:3  concerning His Son who came of the seed of David according to flesh,
Rom 1:4  who was marked
{ὁρίζω ‘horizō’} out the Son of God in power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection of the dead, Jesus Christ our Lord;

1b2) to ordain, determine, appoint
Part of Speech: verb
A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: from G3725

The meaning of this word corresponds to the Hebrew word תור ‘tor.’  It is only through the resurrection that we will be formed into His image.

1Jn 3:1  See what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God. For this reason the world does not know us, because it did not know Him.
1Jn 3:2  Beloved, now we are the children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we shall be. But we know that if He is revealed, we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is.

In Revelation 7, the word for sealed translates back to the Hebrew word תמים ‘tamim’ which means perfect/complete.  Those who are numbered by God will be sealed with His name and be in the image of Messiah Jesus.  Those who are marked by the adversary will be numbered and given the name of the antichrist and be in his image.

The Seed is likened to the dust of the earth

Gen 13:16  And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count the dust of the earth, then your seed also will be counted.

Gen 2:7  And Jehovah God formed the man out of dust from the ground, and blew into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

According to its Kind

Gen 1:11  And God said, Let the earth sprout tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed, the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it on the earth. And it was so.

The word for ‘number/tell’ comes from this root.

Gen 13:16  And I will make your seed as the dust of the earth, so that if a man can count (מנה ‘manah’) the dust of the earth, then your seed also will be counted (מנה ‘manah’).

Interestingly, when Abraham was told to ‘count’ the stars in relation to his Seed, another Hebrew word was used.

Gen 15:5  And He brought him outside and said, Look now at the heavens and count the stars, if you are able to count them. And He said to him, So shall your seed be.

The word used was ספר ‘saphar’ which comes from the root סף, which means the seashore which is covered with sand.

This links the stars in the heaven which are likened to the Messiah & His body (the seed) with the sand on the seashore which are also likened to the Seed.  Amazingly, it is estimated that the amount of stars in the heavens is equal to the number of grains of sand on the earth. (10 to the 22nd power)

Gen 22:17  that blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your seed as the stars of the heavens, and as the sand which is on the shore of the sea. And your Seed shall possess the gate of His enemies.

The word, תמונה ‘temunah,’ which means likeness/image in Hebrew comes from this same root.  The Israel of God are those who are born again and will be resurrected into the Image and likeness of Messiah Jesus.

The word for seashore is חוף ‘choph’

This is the root of the word ‘desire, favor, will,’ in Hebrew

Psa 1:1  Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of scorners.
Psa 1:2  But his delight
(חפץ ‘chaphetz’) is only in the Law of Jehovah, and he meditates in His Law day and night.
Psa 1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivulets of waters, which will give its fruit in its seasons, and its leaf will not wither, and all which he does will prosper.

Trees bearing fruit by the edges of the water are further linked by the Hebrew word for fruit.

The Hebrew word for fruit is פרי ‘priy,’ which pictographically means the mouth פ ‘peh’ (words) and the hand י ‘yod’ (actions) of the head ר ‘resh.’  The word for mouth in Hebrew means an edge.

Notice the two-edged sword is linked with the mouth

Heb 4:12  For the Word of God is living, and powerfully working, and sharper than every two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of both soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge of the thoughts and intentions of the heart;
Rev 19:15  And out of His mouth goes forth a sharp sword, that with it He might smite the nations. And He will shepherd them with an iron rod. And He treads the winepress of the wine of the anger and of the wrath of God Almighty.

The word for mouth is also translated as commandment.

Pro 8:29  when He gave to the sea its limit, that the waters should not pass beyond His command (פה ‘peh’); when He decreed the foundations of the earth,

Israel moved according to His commandment/mouth

Num 9:23  By the mouth (פה ‘peh’ KJV commandment) of Jehovah they encamped, and by the mouth of Jehovah  they pulled up stakes. They kept the charge of Jehovah, by the mouth of Jehovah, by the hand of Moses.

In Psalm 1, mentioned above, the man who meditates on the Torah day and night brings forth much fruit.  The word for meditate in Psalm 1 means to mutter, or constantly speak.

1Pe 4:11  If anyone speaks, let it be as the words of God; if anyone ministers, as by strength which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ; to whom is the glory and the might to the ages of the ages. Amen.

Eph 4:29  Let not any filthy word go out of your mouth, but if any is good to building up (leading to maturity/completion) in respect to the need, that it may give grace to the ones hearing.

James chapter 3 links this concept of speaking the words of Torah and bearing fruit with taming the tongue and then links it with the fruit from above.  That which is born from above has the seed of the Word within them.  That one should be speaking the Word of God, Words of light, truth & love.

In James 3 the other seed is seen.  The mixed seed.  Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.  Hence, we can bear the fruit of the tree of Life, the Messiah.  We can be numbered as the sand of Israel.  Or we can bear the fruit of the antichrist, the tree of knowledge of good and evil.  We can be numbered as the sand from whence the beast arises.

Col 3:17  And whatsoever ye do in word {פה ‘peh’– mouth} or deed (יוד yod’ – hand…word and deed = fruit}, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.

Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks

Mat 12:33  Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or make the tree corrupt and its fruit corrupt; for the tree is known by the fruit.
Mat 12:34  Offspring of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

Isa 51:7  Hear Me, those knowing righteousness, the people of My Law in their heart; do not fear the reproach of man, and do not be bowed from their blasphemings.

Psa 119:172  My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments are righteousness.

Psa 71:15  My mouth shall tell of Your righteousness and Your salvation (ישועה ‘yeshuah’ – source of the name Jesus) all the day; for I do not know the numbers.

Psa 71:16  I will come in the strength of the Lord Jehovah; I will speak of Your righteousness, of Yours alone.

His body is clothed in garments of righteousness

Isa 61:10  I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation (ישועה ‘yeshuah’ – source of the name Jesus), he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.
Rom 13:14  But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.
Gal 3:27  For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Fruit of the Spirit

Eph 5:9  For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.

Php 1:9  And this I pray, that your love may yet abound more and more in full knowledge and all perception,
Php 1:10  for you to distinguish the things that differ, that you may be sincere and without blame for the day of Christ,
Php 1:11  being filled with fruits of righteousness through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God.

Isa 60:21  And your people shall all be righteous; they shall possess the earth forever, a branch of My planting, a work of My hands, to beautify Myself.

Isa 45:24  He shall say, Only in Jehovah do I have righteousness (צדקה ‘tsedeqah’) and strength; to Him he comes; and they are ashamed, all who are angry with Him.
Isa 45:25  In Jehovah all of the seed of Israel shall be justified (צדק ‘tsadaq’), and shall glory. (Romans 14:11; Philippians 2:10)

Washed & Justified

1Co 6:11  And some of you were these things, but you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and in the Spirit of our God.

In His Image

Rom 8:29  because whom He foreknew, He also predestinated to be conformed to the image of His Son, for Him to be the First-born among many brothers.
Rom 8:30  But whom He predestinated, these He also called; and whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, these He also glorified.

Isa 61:3  to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give them beauty {פאר ‘pe’er’ from the word פר ‘par’ (fruit)} instead of ashes {אפר ‘aphar’ – ash from the word פר ‘par’ (fruit)}, the oil of joy instead of mourning, the mantle of praise instead of the spirit of infirmity, so that one calls them trees of righteousness, the planting of Jehovah, in order to beautify (פאר ‘pa’ar’) Himself.

Fruit, soil, ash…

Gen 18:27  And Abraham answered and said, Behold, I pray, I have undertaken to speak to the Lord, and I am dust (עפר ‘aphar’ discussed above) and ash (אפר ‘aphar’).

The Seed

Gen 1:11  And God said, Let the earth sprout tender sprouts, the plant seeding seed, the fruit tree producing fruit according to its kind, whichever seed is in it on the earth. And it was so.

In Hebrew it is written “His kind, whose seed is in Himself”

The Scriptures speak of 2 seeds that produce 2 trees since the beginning.  The tree of life which leads to life or the tree of knowledge which leads to death.  Torah vs religion.  Messiah vs antichrist.  Wheat vs tares.  The Holy Spirit vs the spirit of falsehood.  The children of obedience vs the children of disobedience.  Light vs darkness etc…

Both righteous and wicked are resurrected, just some plants spring forth and produce good fruit, while other plants produce rotten fruit that can’t be eaten.

The green plants that are eaten are called עשׂב ‘‛eśeb’ which can be used in a good sense as in Genesis 1:30 or in a bad sense as seen in Psalm 92:7-8 speaking of the workers of iniquity.  This represents the Israel of God who produces the good fruit, versus the false Israel (Esau – which linked to the above word עשׂב ‘‛eśeb’) who produces rotten fruit.

Above it was shown that hair/beards are linked to the resurrection through the word צתצית ‘tsitsit.‘  Interestingly, the word for hair in Hebrew is סער ‘se’ar’ which once again shows this concept of wheat vs tares.  סעיר ‘se’ir’ comes from this root and is translated as both goat or demon/devils.  The Tabernacle of the LORD was covered in goat’s hair.  The counterfeit is a false temple which is in the image of a demon/devil which links to the false god Pan and Mt. Hermon where the false Zion was located.

We must choose the garments of righteousness and salvation that are only found in Messiah Jesus (Jeremiah 23:6; Isaiah 45:22-25; Isaiah 61:10; Romans 13:14) or we can choose to have our own righteousness that is nothing but filthy rags.

Isa 64:6  But we are all as the unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as a menstruation cloth. And we all fade as a leaf, and like the wind our iniquities take us away.

On the outside these filthy garments may look righteous, but God knows the hypocrisy of the matter.

Mat 23:28  So you also indeed outwardly appear righteous to men, but within are full of hypocrisy (ὑπόκρισις ‘hupokrisis’) and lawlessness.

Mat 15:7  Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying,
Mat 15:8  This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
Mat 15:9  But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.
Mat 15:12  Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying?
Mat 15:13  But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up.
