Attack on the Apostle Paul

attack on the apostle paul

Paul Writing His Epistles - Valentin de Boulogne,
Paul Writing His Epistles – Valentin de Boulogne,

Following is an excerpt from the study Mark of the Beast 10 – The Holy Grail.  Last week I shared a study on why I believe the New Testament is Scripture because there is an evergrowing movement of people who are denying it’s Divine inspiration.  A large reason that people are doing so is because of attacks on the writings of the Apostle Paul.  This is nothing new but ever growing so I thought it prudent to share the following excerpt.  It is a part of the strong delusion spoken of by Paul himself in 2 Thessalonians 2.

Proponents of the Holy Grail theory deny the inspiration of the New Testament Scriptures, especially the writings of Paul.  They claim that Paul was considered a heretic and is the founder of mainstream Christianity, whereas the ‘true’ followers of Messiah did not believe He was divine but was only a man who was the rightful heir to the throne of David.  Some proponents claim that Messiah did not die on the cross as well.  They claim to descend from the Essenes who supposedly hid ‘secret treasures’ which reveal this doctrine and was found under the Temple by the Knights Templar and currently resides with the ‘Priory of Sion.’

The Desposyni

Bloodlines of the Holy Grail pg 83
“Writing about this purposeful eradication of Messianic documentation, Africanus stated: ‘A few careful people had private records of their own, having committed the names to memory of having recovered them from copies, and took pride in preserving the remembrance of their aristocratic origins’.  He described these royal inheritors as the Desposyni (‘Heirs of [or belonging to] the Lord [or the Master]‘).”

Bloodline of the Holy Grail Pg 110
“By the middle of the second century the original Nazarenes (followers of Jesus and James) were unpopular not only with the Romans, but were being severely harassed by the Pauline Christians…In retaliation, the Nazarenes of the Desposynic Church denounced Paul as a ‘renegade’ and a ‘false apostle’, claiming that his ‘idolatrous writings’ should be ‘rejected altogether.’”

Messianic Legacy pg 100

“Eusebius reports that the Desposyni – the descendants of Jesus’s family and possibly of Jesus himself – survived to become leaders of various Christian churches, according, it would seem, to a strict dynastic succession.”

According to Baigent, Lee & Lincoln, these Desposynic leaders met with Pope Sylvester to discuss the Desposyni Church in Jerusalem being the ‘Mother Church’, but were rejected.

It was from these ‘Desposyni’ that the Merovingian dynasty claimed its right to reign.

The Second Messiah pg 69
“…the core of modern Freemasonry developed in Scotland following the demise of the Knights Templar, who had based their own beliefs on the teachings of the original Jerusalem Church.  All of the evidence pointed to a Templar unearthing of secret scrolls buried by the Jews in the months before they and their Temple were destroyed by the Romans in AD 70.”

The Second Messiah pg 87
“The scrolls of the Nasoreans, which they had had translated for them [the Templars], told a greatly different story of Jesus and the Jerusalem Church from the one that they had been brought up to believe.  They read that Jesus was a kingly leader and not a god, and the resurrection had been a misunderstanding by Paul.  The rituals conducted by Jesus and his followers were ancient, even to them, and they involved initiating candidates into their group by putting them through a living resurrection, where they underwent a figurative death and were wrapped in a white burial shroud.  They were then raised from their tomb by a sacred ritual and the ‘resurrected’ individual became a brother amongst them as one of the new ‘soldiers of the Temple’, following in the footsteps of those who had died defending the Holy City in AD 70.”

The Second Messiah pg 80
“The Rex Deus families were at the forefront of the First, and every other Crusade.”

According to Knight & Lomas in their book the Second Messiah, the main objective of the Crusades and the Knights Templars was to obtain the hidden documents of Rex Deus hidden beneath the Temple.  They state that these documents were found and the knowledge thereof was restricted to only the senior members of the new Templar Order and the St. Clair family were enacted as the guardians of the ‘ancient knowledge.

The Second Messiah pg 87
“The Templar Order took on a life of its own, after completing its original purpose, almost certainly as a result of the documentation that it found under the Temple.  Within a very few years the rumors of strange rituals were circulating about the Order and fabulous stories were told of the Templar’s exploits.  The scrolls of the Nasoreans, which they had had translated for them, told a greatly different story of Jesus and the Jerusalem Church from the one that they had been brought up to believe. They were then raised from their tomb by a sacred ritual and the ‘resurrected’ individual became a brother amongst them as on of the new ‘soldiers of the Temple’, following in the footsteps of those who died defending the Holy City in AD 70.”

Another aspect which should be addressed in connection with the attack on Paul, is the denial of the Divinity of the Messiah.  This too is linked to the Merovingian bloodline teaching.

Gal 1:8  But even if we, or an angel out of Heaven, should preach a gospel to you beside the gospel we preached to you, let him be accursed.
Gal 1:9  As we have said before, and now I say again, If anyone preaches a gospel beside what you received, let him be accursed.

Holy Blood Holy Grail pg 85
“…it seems clear that a repudiation of some sort did occur, and was an integral principle of the Order. One knight, for example, testified that on his induction into the Order he was told, “You believe wrongly, because he [Christ] is indeed a false prophet. Believe only in God in heaven, and not in him.” Another Templar declared that he was told, “Do not believe that the man Jesus whom the Jews crucified in Outremer is God and that he can save you.” A third knight similarly claimed he was instructed not to believe in Christ, a false prophet, but only in a “higher God’. He was then shown a crucifix and told, “Set not much faith in this, for it is too young.”

Messianic Legacy pg 106
“According to Irenaeus, the Ebionites insist that Jesus was man, not God, and was not born of a virgin…”

Messianic Legacy pg 107
“It appears to reflect a tradition dating, without a break, back to the original Nazarean hierarchy which fled Jerusalem immediately prior to the revolt of A.D. 66.  Again, Jesus is stated to be a man, not a god, and any suggestion of his divinity is rejected.”

The Second Messiah pg 87
“The scrolls of the Nasoreans, which they had had translated for them [the Templars], told a greatly different story of Jesus and the Jerusalem Church from the one that they had been brought up to believe.  They read that Jesus was a kingly leader and not a god, and the resurrection had been a misunderstanding by Paul.”

The Scriptures however, are clear that Jesus is the LORD.

Which Version is the Bible pg 58
“Denying that the death of Christ Jesus made the once for all vicarious atonement for the sinner, W&H {Westcott and Hort } choose instead to emphasize atonement through the incarnation rather than through the crucifixion. This view was an attempt to exalt Mary’s position as, of course, she was prominent at the conception and birth of Jesus. Such posture upholds the Roman Catholic Mass. So their view was that of atonement through Jesus’ conception and birth rather than his shed blood!”

Notice that Westcott & Hort’s belief lines up with the bloodline theorists where ‘salvation’ comes through birth (ie bloodline) whereas the Biblical doctrine of Salvation comes only through faith in Messiah where the Seed of the Word is implanted into our hearts. (James 1:21)

Which Version is the Bible pg 60
“Both of these men denied the deity of Christ Jesus and they denied the verbal plenary inspiration of Scripture.”

Origen

“The Greek Texts that Wescott & Hort used for their translation trace back to Origen who was influenced by texts translated by the Ebionites. The Ebionites held to the same doctrine as the Holy Blood Holy Grail theorists that Jesus was not God in the flesh and that Paul was an apostate.” (Which Version is the Bible pg 92)

Paul was an Apostle called and sent by God and given the Gospel from Jesus Christ.
1Co 1:1  Paul, called to be an apostle of Jesus Christ through the will of God, and Sosthenes our brother,
Gal 1:12  For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

Paul was chosen by Jesus
Act 9:15  But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

If we throw away Paul as some have done what then must follow?

Paul & Luke
Apostle Paul & Luke

If Paul was a false prophet then so was Luke as Luke was a companion (Colossians 4:14; 2 Timothy 4:11) of Paul and recorded Paul’s conversion and spends the bulk of the rest of the book of Acts recording the work of God through Paul.  This would mean the Gospel of Luke and the book of Acts are not reliable.

James apostle
Apostle James

Paul John Peter

In Acts 15, as well as Acts 21:18-25, James recognized Paul as God’s apostle. Paul confirms James, John & Peter’s support in Galatians 2:9-12.  This would mean the books/epistles of James, Peter and John are not reliable.  Peter also specifically mentions Paul’s writings as Scripture (2 Peter 3:15-16).
Gal 2:9  And when James, Cephas, and John, who seemed to be pillars, perceived the grace that was given unto me, they gave to me and Barnabas the right hands of fellowship; that we should go unto the heathen, and they unto the circumcision.
Gal 2:10  Only they would that we should remember the poor; the same which I also was forward to do.
Gal 2:11  But when Peter was come to Antioch, I withstood him to the face, because he was to be blamed.
Gal 2:12  For before that certain came from James, he did eat with the Gentiles: but when they were come, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing them which were of the circumcision.

Mark

Mark was a companion of Paul in his ministry (2 Timothy 4:11).  This would mean Mark’s Gospel is unreliable.
2Ti 4:11  Only Luke is with me. Take Mark, and bring him with thee: for he is profitable to me for the ministry.

Jude

Jude recognized James (Jude 1:1) who recognized Paul as mentioned before.  The epistle of Jude then would be unreliable.

If one throws out Paul then the entire New Testament must be thrown out as well as all the writers of the New Testament testify by word and deed that Paul was a true believer.

The Bible defines Paul’s writings as Scripture
2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. {As also the OTHER Scripture…Peter spoke of Paul’s writings as Scripture.}
2Pe 3:17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

As mentioned above, the proponents of the Holy Blood Holy Grail theory attack Paul as an heretic and deceiver.  By casting doubt upon Paul, consequently Paul’s epistles then can be attacked which opens a door to an outright attack on the entire New Testament.

The Dead Sea Scrolls Deception pg 181-182

“In all the vicissitudes that follow, it must be emphasised that Paul is, in effect the first ‘Christian’ heretic, and that his teachings – which become the foundation of later Christianity – are a flagrant deviation from the ‘original’ or ‘pure’ form extolled by the leadership…Paul, in effect, shunts God aside and established, for the first time, worship of Jesus – Jesus as a kind of equivalent of Adonis, of Tammuz, of Attis, or of any one of the other dying and reviving gods who populated the Middle East at the time.  In order to compete with these divine rivals, Jesus had to match them point for point, miracle for miracle.  It is at this stage that many of the miraculous elements become associated with Jesus’ biography, including, in all probability, his supposed birth of a virgin and his resurrection from the dead.  They are essentially Pauline inventions…”

Messianic Legacy pg 79
“One can trace numerous specific elements in the Gospels to their origin not in history, but in the traditions surrounding Tammuz, Osiris, Attis, Adonis, Dionysos and Zoroaster.  Many of them, for example, were supposed to have been born to a god and a virgin.  Mithraism exerted a particularly powerful influence on the coalescence of Christian tradition.  It postulated an apocalypse, a day of judgment, a resurrection of the flesh and a second coming of Mithras himself, who would finally defeat the principle of evil.  Mithras was said to have been born in a cave or a grotto, where shepherds attended him and regaled him with gifts.  Baptism played a prominent role in Mithraic rites.  So, too, did the communal meal.  There is a passage in the Mithraic communion which is particularly interesting.  ‘He who shall not eat of my body nor drink of my blood so that he may be one with me and I with him, shall not be saved.”

Messianic Legacy pg 79
“Even with the comparatively slight knowledge we have of Mithraism and its liturgy, it is clear that many of Paul’s phrases [in his letters] savour much more of the terminology of the Persian cult than that of the Gospels.”

Messianic Legacy pg 106
“According to Irenaeus, the Ebionites insist that Jesus was man, not God, and was not born of a virgin…They reject the Pauline letters, and ‘they reject the apostle Paul, calling him an apostate from the Law’…The Church historian Eusebius was attacking the Nazareans for being heretical.  They held that ‘…the epistles of the Apostle [Paul] ought to be rejected altogether, calling him a renegade from the Law; and using only the ‘Gospel of the Hebrews’, they treated the rest with scant respect.’…Epiphanius condemns the Ebionites or Nazareans for denying the Virgin Birth, teaching that Jesus was a man born of men, declaring that Jesus became Messiah only on his baptism and using alternative versions of the Acts of the Apostles.  They are ‘not ashamed’, Epiphanius writes indignantly, to denounce Paul, believing him to be pseudapostolorum – a ‘false apostle.’…In one Nazarean text, Paul is called ‘the enemy.’  The text maintains insistently that Jesus’ rightful heir was his brother James, and takes great pains to argue that Simon Peter is quoted as issuing a warning against any authority other than the Nazarean hierarchy: ‘Wherefore observe the greatest caution, that you believe no teacher, unless he brings from Jerusalem the testimonial of James the Lord’s brother…’”

Baigent, Leigh and Lincoln claim that Schlomo Pines found a collection of 10th century Arabic manuscripts entitled ‘al-nasara’ the Nazareans.

Messianic Legacy pg 107
“It appears to reflect a tradition dating, without a break, back to the original Nazarean hierarchy which fled Jerusalem immediately prior to the revolt of A.D. 66.  Again, Jesus is stated to be a man, not a god, and any suggestion of his divinity is rejected.  The importance of Judaic law is again stressed.  Paul is castigated and his followers are said to ‘have abandoned the religion of Christ and turned towards the religious doctrines of the Romans’.  The Gospels are dismissed as unreliable, second-hand accounts which contain only ‘something- but little- of the sayings, the precepts of Christ and information concerning him’…The tenth-century Arab document goes on to assert that the sect from whom the Nazarean text issued is still in existence, and is regarded as an elite amongst Christians.”

What says the Scriptures about Paul?

There were rumors about Paul that match much of what the above authors claim.  The Scriptures state that these rumors were false.

Act 18:12  But Gallio being proconsul of Achaia, the Jews rushed against Paul with one passion and led him to the tribunal,
Act 18:13  saying, This one persuades men to worship God contrary to the Law.
Act 21:28  crying out, Men, Israelites, help! This is the man who teaches all everywhere against the people and the Law and this place. And even more, he also brought Greeks into the temple and has defiled this holy place.
Act 21:29  For they had before seen Trophimus the Ephesian in the city with him, whom they supposed that Paul brought into the temple.
Act 25:8  Defending himself, Paul said, Neither against the Law of the Jews, nor against the temple, nor against Caesar have I sinned in anything.

Paul did not corrupt the Word of God
2Co 4:2  But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor corrupting the Word of God, but by the revelation of the truth commending ourselves to every conscience of men before God.

Paul’s letters are weighty and strong
2Co 10:10  Because, they say, the letters are weighty and strong, but the bodily presence is weak, and his speech being despised.

Peter says that Paul’s letters are sometimes hard to be understood because of his wisdom.  Even during the times of the Apostles, false rumors were being spread about Paul because men who were unlearned and had not the Spirit were accusing Paul of things of which he did not teach.

2Pe 3:15  And account that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also according to the wisdom given unto him hath written unto you;
2Pe 3:16  As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.
2Pe 3:17  Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.

It was the lawless that were corrupting Paul’s words.  Paul did not teach against the Word.  He taught the law as good (1 Timothy 1:8), he taught the TaNaKH was wisdom (2 Timothy 3:15-17), he believed all things in the TaNaKH (Acts 24:14).  He obeyed the law (Acts 25:8), and he taught the law of God (Romans 10:8; Deuteronomy 30:12-14).  Paul was used to bring forth the fullness of the Gospel (2 Timothy 4:17) which reveals a change in the law (Hebrews 7:12) where the New Covenant would be instituted and the Holy Spirit would write God’s law on His people’s hearts (Jeremiah 31:31).

Paul taught obedience

Rom 15:18  For I will not dare to speak of any of those things which Christ hath not wrought by me, to make the Gentiles obedient, by word and deed,
Rom 16:26  but now has been made plain, and by prophetic Scriptures, according to the commandment of the everlasting God, made known for obedience of faith to all the nations;
Eph 5:6  Let no one deceive you with empty words, for through these things the wrath of God comes on the sons of disobedience.
Eph 5:7  Then do not become partakers with them;
Eph 5:8  for you then were darkness, but are now light in the Lord; walk as children of light.

2Co 2:9  For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, if you are obedient in all things.

2Co 6:14  Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership does righteousness have with lawlessness? And what fellowship does light have with darkness?
2Co 6:15  And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever?

1Ti 6:14  that you keep the commandment spotless, blameless, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Act 21:20  And hearing, they glorified the Lord, and said to him, You see, brother, how many myriads there are of Jews that have believed, and all are zealous ones of the Law.
Act 21:21  And they were informed about you, that you teach falling away from Moses, telling all the Jews throughout the nations not to circumcise their children, nor to walk in the customs.
Act 21:22  What then is it? At all events, a multitude must come together, for they will hear that you have come.
Act 21:23  Then do this, what we say to you: There are four men who have a vow on themselves;
Act 21:24  taking these, be purified with them, and be at expense on them, that they may shave the head. And all shall know that all what they have been told about you is nothing, but you yourself walk orderly, keeping the Law.

In his letters which were misunderstood, Paul was trying to teach the proper role of the law.

Rom 3:31  Then is the Law annulled through faith? Let it not be! But we establish Law.
Rom 7:12  So indeed the Law is holy, and the commandment holy and just and good.
Rom 7:13  Then that which is good, has it become death to me? Let it not be! But sin, that it might appear to be sin, having worked out death to me through the good, in order that sin might become excessively sinful through the commandment.
Rom 7:14  For we know that the Law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, having been sold under sin.
Rom 7:22  For I delight in the Law of God according to the inward man;
Rom 7:23  but I see another law in my members having warred against the law of my mind, and taking me captive by the law of sin being in my members.
Rom 7:24  O wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?
Rom 7:25  I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord! So then I myself with the mind truly serve the Law of God, and with the flesh the law of sin.

Paul did not start a new religion or attempt to change the faith once delivered to the saints.

2Co 1:13  For we do not write other things to you than what you read or even recognize; and I hope that you will recognize even to the end,

He taught from the TaNaKH even until the end of his life.

Act 28:22  But we think it fit to hear from you as to what you think, for truly as concerning this sect, it is known to us that it is spoken against everywhere.
Act 28:23  And having appointed him a day, more came to him in the lodging, to whom he expounded, earnestly testifying the kingdom of God and persuading them the things concerning Jesus, both from the Law of Moses and the Prophets, from morning until evening.

Paul said to avoid contradicting the Messiah’s Words (1 Timothy 6:3) and warned of false shepherds who would come after him.

Act 20:29  For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock.
Act 20:30  Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.
Act 20:31  Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.

Paul had no misconceptions that he was able to start any new faith or religion.

Paul taught that he had no power against the truth
2Co 13:8  For we cannot have any power against the truth, but on behalf of the truth.

What is truth?  The Word of God
Psa 119:160  The sum of Your Word is true; every one of Your righteous judgments endures forever.

Psa 119:43  And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments.
Psa 119:44  So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
Psa 119:142  Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is the truth.
Psa 119:151  Thou art near, O LORD; and all thy commandments are truth.
Psa 119:160  Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
Mal 2:6  The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity.
Neh 9:13  Thou camest down also upon mount Sinai, and spakest with them from heaven, and gavest them right judgments, and true laws, good statutes and commandments:
Dan 9:13  As it is written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
Dan 10:21  But I will shew thee that which is noted in the scripture of truth: and there is none that holdeth with me in these things, but Michael your prince.
Joh 17:17  Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

2Ti 2:15  Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Joh 8:31  Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;
Joh 8:32  And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

Paul taught that only the Testator (Jesus) could change the law.

Heb 9:15  And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Heb 9:16  For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator.
Heb 9:17  For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Gal 3:15  Brothers, I speak according to man, a covenant having been ratified, even among mankind, no one sets aside or adds to it.

The Scriptures are clear that Messiah did not destroy the law, He fulfilled it.

Mat 5:17  Do not think that I came to annul the Law or the Prophets; I did not come to annul, but to fulfill.
Mat 5:18  Truly I say to you, Until the heaven and the earth pass away, in no way shall one iota or one point pass away from the Law until all comes to pass.
Mat 5:19  Therefore, whoever relaxes one of these commandments, the least, and shall teach men so, he shall be called least in the kingdom of Heaven. But whoever does and teaches them, this one shall be called great in the kingdom of Heaven.

This attack on Paul is ancient going back to the days that he walked this earth.  This is where the Holy Blood Holy Grail proponents trace their beliefs too.  Another Gospel that Paul warned of.  Sadly, many well meaning believers are falling for this trap.  There is a large movement of believers who are seeking to ‘return to their Hebrew roots’ but are are getting caught up on the trap of the Holy Blood Holy Grail doctrine.

The Messianic/Hebraic roots movement today is teaching much of the Holy Blood Holy Grail deception in ignorance.  The teachings are widely varied but a lot of the themes being proposed are leading believers into the deceptions of the adversary mentioned the study on the Holy Grail.  It is not the purpose of this study to ‘name names.’  Those who are familiar with the teachings of the leaders of this movement will know who are being addressed.

Most Messianic teachers/leaders are proponents of Zionism.  This is one of the greatest tools of the adversary to bring about his counterfeit kingdom of heaven.  The Messianic movement, due to its Zionist leanings, also promotes that Islam is the beast mentioned in the Scriptures and speaks of the Messiah coming to save ‘Israel’ and destroy Islam.  This is exactly what the ‘Illuminati’ has planned for over a centuryWWIII was planned over 100 years ago with Islam going to war against ‘Judeo-Christianity’ to bring about the antichrist.  The antichrist will pose as Messiah Jesus but in reality is the man of sin.

Some teachers attack the infallibility of the Word, just as the Holy Grail movement does.  The New Testament may have been penned by Hebrew speaking writers but God in His sovereignty chose to pass down His New Testament in Greek.  Are we to believe that He would allow believers for over 2,000 years to have a corrupted, unreliable text?  Are we to believe that He would hide the real scrolls only to reveal them at the end of days?

Some exalt the bloodlines, even holding to the stone of destiny teaching mentioned in the Holy Grail study.  Others teach that only those with Israelite descent will be saved.  However, Scripture is clear that we enter the covenant, and are hence Israel, through faith in Messiah.  Genealogy and bloodlines are irrelevant.

Worst of all, some deny the divinity of Messiah Jesus or end up denying Him altogether.  This usually starts with a seed of doubt placed by the adversary that the New Testament text is not reliable.  Catholicism is attacked and the supposed pagan connections are revealed which cast further doubt upon a Christian’s faith.  Zionist teachings are then added which exalt Israel and defines unbelieving Jews as the ‘chosen people.’  Little by little the believer turns away from Christ Jesus because that original seed of doubt was placed in the form of an attack on Paul & the New Testament.  This is the same method used by the adversary in the Garden.  ‘Yea, hath God said…?’
